#persona 3 #persona 3 spoilers #minato arisato #makoto yuki #ryoji mochizuki #aigis #ryomina #lizzy does art #HELLO EVERYONE!!! march 5th is upon us again so i bring... my contribution for this year. my third year drawing for it!#i made the thumbnail for this a few weeks after last year's graduation day #i thought it would be fun to lean into the ryominaigis angle of graduation day (you could read this as minato/aigis if you like-#but i feel like most people would read it as ryoji/minato)#IN ANY CASE working on this made me very emotional over this game :') (specifically minato)#i really enjoy how p3 ends it's such a nice way of wrapping up the narrative's messages and themes #working on this. minato's kindness was at the forefront of my mind throughout the piece #and i really wanted to capture how. ultimately it was his decision to sacrifice himself- to do the great seal #while to an outsider's perspective it is. sad that minato passes. i think becoming the seal is something that minato-#actively welcomes. in the same way that death (ryoji) is a comfort to him because death was housed in him for Ten YearsTM #AND I ALSO GOT REALLY SAD OVER AIGIS TOO. i still get fucked up over how in fes's animated cutscene for 3/5 they portray-#her as human and not drawing the robot parts so i wanted to do something smilar here...#but also i am very sad on aigis's behalf because she discovers her humanity through minato and realizes what she-#wants to do and then. well. minato is like. he's ready to pass on (even if he's scared) and im like. OH MY GOD THIS TRIO GETS ME MESSED UP #this was more coherent in my head LOL BUT ough i like drawing p3 and working through my feelings about it...#anyway! happy (in quotations) march 5th. i love this game to bits. it's so fun to draw for this day every year and see how i've improved #if you've read all this thank you :) lizzy appreciates you all very much. mwah! <3

my first attempt at krita and. it turns out i cant draw felines from memory

#i meant krita the program but i guess his name is krita now LOL #art #furry #it is. not immediately intuitive i will say. and the ui setup is not agreeing with me (how i put my hand on the tablet)#it keeps. clicking things. maybe i just need to move it around (if u can do that??)#also i suspect this may be an issue with the tablet and not the program. but it did freeze. ghdfgdf #the image u see before u.... was worked off a screenshot i took #needless to say. back on my 'saving every 2 seconds' shit #can u adjust how the brushes blend and shit...#but tbh im pretty happy with trying out krita for a while over paying for clip.#i could always just. pay for clip later if it turns out i prefer it on tablet LMAO #THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS LIKE. Was just wondering based off your previous comments about the obnoxiously long 5 hour crits (those were the norm there) and the teacher who taught ND Stevenson. I went to MICA with him (year below) so your posts just made me wonder if you were going there too.

i do!!! i generally really love it here aside from some uh. quirks let's call them. but i'm in my 3rd year rn majoring in illustration with a seq arts minor, and one of the major reasons i applied to go here is bc nd stevenson was one of my biggest inspirations growing up!!

#it's also very convenient for me bc i was born and raised in a town abt 45 mins away from bmore #but the fact that he went here rlly sealed the deal when 17 year old me was looking at art schools lol #i truly think this was the best school for me out of the ones i got into. which. to be fair. was all the schools i applied to LMFAO #i thank christ every day that SVA refused to give me any more than $20k financial aid bc the stories i hear abt that school now are AWFUL #asks #also ykw if 5hr crits used to be the norm at this school that explains why that one prof still does them #but the thing is THEYRE NOT THE NORM ANYMOREEE at least not in the illustration dept!!!#ive NEVER had crits that long in illustration dept classes and ive been taking multiple classes a sem in this dept since freshman year #ughhhhh someone NEEDS to tell her that times have changed and it CANNOT be me

Listen guys I know I will never be much good* (or even enjoy, tbh) calligraphy, but my mother-in-law keeps giving me old “the basics of calligraphy!!” sets that she finds at goodwill that obviously someone got as a gift in the 90s and never even opened and I enjoy collecting the inks and tiny ceramic bowls and inkstones so, so much ☺️

*this isn’t poor self esteem btw this is clear eyed & serene knowledge of where my skills lay and the answer to that is in art forms that do not require steady hands and good spatial awareness. I like digital art and fiber crafts lmao.

#ink #calligraphy #I love all of the items I find in those kits!!!!#I had to google what the tiny spoons and bowls were for lol but now I get it #I think I might even have a blank seal 👀#and all the ink bottles!!! ❤️#I will absolutely be using that ink with either my glass or regular dip pens to write lol #not calligraphy stuff but just regular writing ahah #I have no spatial awareness because of the audhd #to the point where I have never even been able to do these art excercises #where there is a small image in a grid and you have a bigger grid and need to copy the image #can’t even do that lol my brain does not allow me to draw something I see correctly #also my hands shake and I’m clumsy ❤️#but I can totally write whole books and draw things from my brain so I’m happy anyway lol #it’s just like #at some point you’ll always be happier knowing what art mediums are for you and which ones aren’t #because there is so much guilt that artists get when they can’t master ALL the mediums???#but I have given myself permission to not feel that guilt lol I suck at certain things and that’s okay ☺️#anyway love calligraphy like as a concept #and as a provider of tiny ceramic bowls
