Alright I read your request rules and I’m ready to request!
Wally Darling x Curious Reader
You know that little fic you made where you wrote the puppets coming into the real world? (I commented on it!)——I hope you wouldn’t mind me trying to branch off it! Imaging it happening to me, I would actually like to inspect Wally since he’s clearly not human. Of course, with consent. I would open his mouth- see what’s inside, touch his felt, his hair, all of it.
And I’d imagine he’d be curious about us too.
Sorry for this being a bit late, I wanted a short break from writing and drawing all day. Also I'm perfectly fine with that being branched off of! Most of my previous posts are kind of like foundations for future fics and requests to go off of.
Also for the sake of simplicity I will just call this an AU(Alternate Universe). The Alive AU. It's exactly what it sounds like, the puppets come to life but as their cartoon selves in the real world and are capable of going back to their own world at any time. (Wally needs to do that though or they're stuck, he knows what he's doing). I'm also doing this so that in the future when we do have answers to Welcome Home, it won't interfere with theories or what is considered "canon". This request is based on a previous post (linked below this), for context.
Just a Little Look
___________________________________________________________
Out of all the other 'puppets', Wally was the one you were most curious and cautious about. It wasn't that he ate differently, it wasn't because his eyes looked different from the rest, and it wasn't because he was always staring at you. No, it was the way he acted. He acted like he's done this before. The whole going into this world and not being a normal puppet bit. You decided that you might as well ask Wally if you could feel him or look inside his mouth...maybe not that first one though, that might come out as weird to him and the others. It's not like he had a reason to say no really, you were just curious.
The 'puppet' with an Elvis cut was sitting down on your couch one leg crossed over the other like the distinguished dude that he was, face buried in a newspaper from this morning. You don't remember teaching him how to read the newspaper, where did he even get that? "Hey Wally..." You shuffled your foot a bit, getting somewhat anxious. "Can I look in your mouth?"
"Hmm?" He looked up from reading the paper with an almost dreamy look to him. "Can I look in your mouth?" You repeated the question, this time he heard you as his head tilted to the side. "Now what would you want to look in my mouth for?" His voice was as calm as usual, though he did have a bit of a smirk today.
"I'm just curious is all, you're not like the others and I've never seen what you guys look like on the inside." You gestured to the inside of your mouth, sticking your tongue out. Wally slowly got up from the couch and leaned over you, smirk still lingering on his face. "Well, I don't see why not, but I'll only let you look inside me if you let me look inside you." You nodded, excited to finally get a look. "Alright, sounds fair." You responded as Wally folded up the newspaper and neatly placed it on the coffee table.
Bending down, Wally opened his mouth quite a bit to let you look, making a small "Ahhh~" like a child would when letting a doctor look at their throat. You peered over to see inside. It was what a normal puppet mouth would look like save for the small black void at the back of the 'throat'. You're not even going to question how Wally speaks or eats, nothing surprises you anymore at this point. Kind of weird to see what is basically a tiny void though.
He closed his mouth once you were done looking before leaning closer to softly grab your face in his hands. It wasn't what you'd thought it'd feel like. You were expecting something like felt, but that wasn't it. It was some other material you've never felt before, it was soft and smooth like silk, but not in a sense that it was fabric. "I believe it's my turn to see the inside of your mouth now." You nodded quietly and opened your mouth as wide as you could, showing off your canines and molars.
It was awkwardly quiet in the living room for a while and you slowly found yourself leaning further and further into the soft hands that held your head up earning a small chuckle from Wally. "Tired?" You nodded. It's been a rough week both from your job getting busy and you being busy at the house trying to keep your new guests out of trouble. "It's like I'm taking care of a bunch of kids.." You mumbled into his hands.
"How about you take a good nap then, you'll be up and full of that energy you need." There it was again. You could feel him staring at you with those eyes. You were too tired to say anything this time though and opted for just getting up and heading to your room. Leaving behind a still smirking Wally.

I told you guys, I write medium to long posts even if they take a while.
Next up? Barnaby and Wally teach the dear reader how to slow dance. :)

Welcome to the Family
I went missing for a few days, I’m sorry about that. I haven’t been feeling the greatest and had to put my dog down late Saturday night. So that was pretty rough. I’m still kinda meh, but felt some inspiration to sit down and finish what I have planned for you guys.
So pretty much how these next few chapters will work is that they’ll each be about a different part in Jason and Halley’s relationship before and leading up to Death in the Family, because that’s coming up soon!
Tumblr media
Like You Imagined When You Were Young pt. 1
Being back at Titan’s Tower was something Halley hadn’t quite been ready for. She’d been excited, of course, but she hadn’t been back to the Tower in almost two years now. She felt bad, not having the chance to visit really. She had fully dived into her life in Gotham, having been living in the manor for close to two years at this point now. Between school, being Nightshade, and her new found normal teenage life, she sort of pushed the Titan’s aside.
She saw them all once over the summer for her sixteenth birthday when Dick threw her a pool party at the manor and invited the entire team. It had been a great day and she hadn’t realized how much she had missed them all. She wished she could make more time for them but she was reaching the end of her junior year of High School, and the pressure was already starting to be put on her and even Jason to get ready for college by not just her teachers but by Bruce.
She was all too crazy about or good at school, only really having an interest in her English and History classes, and of course Journalism. Her talent for it came out of nowhere but she ran with it, finding herself getting excited as her teacher started talking about possible summer internships the school offered with different newspapers and outlets. Of course, only if all of her grades were good would she even be considered for the internship, so her hopes weren’t being set to high.
At first she’d been pretty annoyed when Bruce told her that he was sending herself and Jason off to stay with the Titans for their winter break, him having to attend to Justice League business and wanted to give Alfred some time off while he was gone. Jason insisted that they’d be fine alone in the manor alone for two weeks but Bruce knew better. So after a phone call with Dick, they were now set up at the Tower until Bruce could come back.
“So you really don’t want to check out the Tower with me? Babe, they got an entire room dedicated to obstacle courses! This place is better than the fuckin’ Batcave!” Jason said, clearly overly excited about their stay.
“Jay, I’ve lived here before. I know everything this place has to offer.” She rolled her eyes but didn’t removed them from her laptop as she continued to furiously type away. “Also, watch your mouth. You never know who’s listening in this place.”
“I’m pretty sure they won’t care if I say the word fuck,” Jason chuckled, plopping himself down on her bed. Resting his arms underneath his head, he looked up at the ceiling; he was so excited to be able to bring Robin out of Gotham without Bruce’s watchful eyes.
“I didn’t mean that.” She laughed back, letting her head fall forward in amusement. She let her fingers halt their movements, feeling them grow cramped. Leaning back into her chair, she stretched out her muscles, satisfied when she heard a pop. She craned her head to look at Jason, still resting it against the head of the chair. “You called me babe.”
“Oh dear me, I am so terribly sorry for calling my girlfriend babe.” He exclaimed, a little too loudly for her liking.
“Jason!” She hissed, shooting him a warning look as he sat up from his spot.
She watched him gingerly as he swept his feet over the bed until they rest on the floor. Placing his hands on his knees he pushed off them until he stood, walking the short distance from the bed to her. He stood behind the chair, placing his hands on her shoulders. Giving them a gentle squeeze, he began to massage them, feeling how tense she was from focusing so much on her school work.
She relaxed slightly, forgetting how Dick or anyone could just barge right into her room at any second. She let her eyes close as Jason continued to move his fingers up and down her shoulders, squeezing and pulling the knots out. Before she could stop herself she let out a moan as he hit a particular spot. She hadn’t even realized the sound she made until she felt Jason’s lip on top of hers. Now completely and uttering in a trance she let herself moan again as he deepened the kiss and let his hands wander downwards, her feeling them brush against her chest-
Her eyes shot open, seeing Jason’s face titled down above hers and smirked, playfully swatting his hands off of her. He let out a grunt, protesting but when she swatted at him a second time, he pouted but pulled away. She sniggered at him before patting his cheek gently with her hand.
“You have a death wish don’t you?” She teased, pulling her chair forward and turning her attention back to her laptop that rested on her desk.
“No, but I do wish to be able to do things to my girlfriend.” He pouted a second time, resting his upper body on the head of her chair.
“You whine a lot,” She teased but softened her face when she found she was the only one who found her comment amusing. “Jay, come on,” she sighed, feeling bad but knew that this wasn’t like back at home. “It’s two weeks. You can wait two weeks.” She said, not only trying to reassure him but herself.
“Says you,” he grumbled, turning around to go back onto her bed. He face planted into her pillows, muttering something under his breath that she couldn’t make out and didn’t bother to ask him to repeat.
They’d been here for three days already, they were semi-almost halfway there. They could get through this, she once again repeated to herself, blushing as she thought about how silly their whole problem really was. It was actually quite comical actually, causing her to cover her mouth in order to suppress a giggle as she snuck a glance at Jason’s distressed form.
They’d just started to be more intimate with each other, only having sex a handful of times now. She felt her cheeks burn just thinking about it, trying to focus back on her paper. Now wasn’t the time to be thinking of those things right now especially not while she was so close to finishing her English paper. But she had now found herself losing her train of thought completely. Her eyes trailed back to Jason only for her to shake her head and turning back to the screen.
Dick’s room was right down the hall, along with Wally’s and Hank and Dawn’s; there was no way they wouldn’t be heard. Though, she knew Wally and Dick had gone out for the day, stating they’d come back around dinner time with pizza. And Hank and Dawn would most likely not be interested in spying on them in the slightest no matter how much Dick begged them.
She found herself biting her thumb as she thought about it, until she ultimately saved her word document and shut her laptop silently. She slowly looked towards her door, knowing that it was locked but if Dick suspected anything he knew the code to unlock it. Taking another look at Jason she felt her thighs push themselves together deciding on taking a note from Jason’s book and say fuck it and stood up from her chair.
As she rose up, she started to pull her shirt up until it was up over her shoulders and her head, tossing it down to the ground hurriedly. Jason heard her stand and lifted his head up enough to peer an eye out at her, a smirk pulling itself up on his face. She gave him a daring look as she moved to take off the rest of her clothes, knowing they’d have to be quick as there was only about an hour before dinner time.
“You gotta be quiet though,” she warned him as he sat up, pulling her down onto the bed.
“Oh yeah, sure,” he muttered sarcastically as he flipped them so she was beneath him. “I’ll be quiet.” He teased before leaning down to capture her lips with his own.
The pair meshed together, their bodies moving in synth and making sure the other was taken care of. They’d begun to get a rhythm down, having learned what the other liked and what the other didn’t. It wasn’t awkward as the first couple of times, the first being something they still laughed in shared embarrassment about, both having been truly unsure of their movements. It wasn’t anything like it was now; now once they done their cheeks weren’t red from embarrassment but just from exhaustion.
Once Jason finished cleaning himself off, knotting off and throwing the condom in the trash barrel in her room’s bathroom, he returned to her bed. He crawled in next to her, pulling her back to his chest and wrapped his arms tightly around her, loving the feeling of her still naked body against his. She pushed up against him finding it comfortable in his warmth but knew they couldn’t stay this way forever.
“We should get dressed,” she said sadly, wishing they hadn’t had to rush. She missed him, not used to not being able to share the same bed with him at night as Dick was still suspicious of them and did periodical bedroom checks at night.
“Give me a minute.” Jason’s voice was muffled by her hair as he snuggled into her neck.
“You’ve had a minute,” she said patting the arm that wrapped around her waist. She began to drag herself out of the bed, shivering from the lack of coverage. Jason’s hand trailing up and down her back also didn’t help with her growing goosebumps, she smirked as she reached down to pick up her underwear.
Jason reluctantly followed, not instantly getting up to change but instead sitting up and leaning against the headboard to watch her change. He watched as she slipped her sports bra back on, wanting to frown as she did so but found himself smiling at the sight before him. He hadn’t thought they’d be where they were today. It wasn’t like he saw themselves not lasting long, but it was just hard to picture himself with someone like her.
He didn’t know how she put up with him and was sure he’d annoyed her away from him. He was a hard person to get along with, being closed off and slow to open up. But the two off them had clicked almost instantly; almost, he had been quite the asshole to her at first, something he still apologized to her for. He wanted to think that he didn’t deserve her or more so that she could do better than him but he also wanted to think that he did deserve her. He’d been through enough where he thought he should at least have one good thing in his life.
“You know I love you right?” He found himself saying as she pulled up her leggings.
She paused once her pants were up over her hips, looking at Jayson after he spoke. Of course she knew that he loved her. Sure, they didn’t outwardly say it a lot, not really needing to. It was kind of an unspoken thing that only became spoken when it felt right or needed. She could remember them saying it two times, seriously at least, like it was yesterday.
Obviously she remembered the first time they told each other. It had been a few dates after they first snuck out to go on a date together. This time they opted on going to a concert for one of Jason’s favorite bands. They told Bruce that they’d be out with Dylan and all of them, knowing that even though Bruce actually and surprisingly liked the Clash, he wouldn’t let them go to some punk show in a not so great area of Gotham.
Halley had never been to a concert before and was somewhat afraid when she watched the crowd willingly thrashing their bodies together, knocking into each other and flaring their arms out. Moshing, was what Jason had called it but Halley just called it stupid. She tried to stay focus on the show, loving the sound of the pounding drums and heavy bass lines.
Her favorite song from the band was being played when she saw a body come flying towards her. She clung to Jason like a child, pulling herself out of the way before she could be knocked down. She stayed like that for the next couple of songs and apparently the guy behind them thought her fear was hilarious and proceeded to shoved her into what Jason had also called the pit.
She didn’t remember much, feeling herself enraged as she was pushed around and prodded by elbows and other body parts. She pushed her way out in a matter of minutes even though it felt longer. Her hair was a mess and her shirt was slightly jerked up, revealing her stomach; she hadn’t even realized she lost her beanie until she had gotten home that night.
She saw Jason and the older guy who pushed her arguing, Jason clearly pissed that he had done so. She was going to grab Jason’s arm and pull him away, not wanting to chance him breaking into a fight because Jason would obviously lay the guy flat on his ass if that had happened but she stopped herself. The guy was either drunk or just didn’t care about punching a kid right in their face because that’s exactly what he did, after vulgarly declaring that he should “take his bitch home” and that it was past their bedtime.
She marched right up to him, cutting Jason off as he was about to punch him back with his free hand; his other was now holding his bloody nose. She stared up at the guy, her eyes almost venomous and found herself stomping on his foot with her platform combat boots she had just bought. As he cried out, calling her a bitch again, she raised her leg, kneeing him as hard as she could in his groin. He reeled forward in pain and she used it as leverage to use her favorite move and flip him over her shoulders.
She didn’t care if it was excessive but she was mad. The people around them parted, some laughing, some sneering at the teenagers. Her heart pounded at the sudden attention but focused on Jason when his hand grabbed hers. His face looked ecstatic as he smiled widely at her with wide eyes, the blood from his nose now dripping onto his t-shirt.
“I fuckin’ love you,” He shouted before catching himself.
“You-you do?” She stammered, slightly shouting so he could hear her.
Jason looked down, having some difficulty maintaining eye contact with her as he realized what he had just revealed. He’d only just come to terms with his feelings and recognizing them as love towards her. He let out a shallow breath before nodding. “Erm, yeah. I do. I love you,”
“Oh.” She said feeling her toes curling up in her boots. “I- um, I love you too.”
The other time they had exchanged I love you’s hadn’t been so harmless in retrospect. It had been on Halloween night and Scarecrow of course thought it was the perfect time to test out his new fear gas. With the help of the G.C.P.D. they were able to subdue the leak and affected people into one area of the city as Bruce, and with the help of Lucius Fox, rushed to make an antidote.
It had been the first time they were allowed to patrol alone, Batman needing more ground covered. He even called in Nightwing and Batgirl for backup. Halley had met Barbara once, liking her but never worked with her; it felt weird working with another female on the team.
When Nightshade dropped down from above after seeing a little boy being cornered by a group of clearly infected men she wasn’t prepared for them to get the upper hand; she was too focused on grabbing the boy and getting him to safety. She knocked down most of them but one had snuck up behind her, crying about how she was some sort of demon or whatever; who knew what he was seeing. He punched her in the face, cracking her gas mask as her head was slammed into the concrete, knocking her out cold.
Robin had swooped down, taking them down easily as they were now distracted. When they were all down, he saw how her mask was cracked and panicked, not wanting the gas that was still in the air to affect her. Without thinking he ripped his own mask off and replaced hers with it.
When Nightshade came too, she noticed the child had already ran away but she was still not alone. Robin laid a little away from her, curled up into himself as he cried. It didn’t take long before she realized what he did and freaked out. Why would he do that? She rushed over to him and didn’t flinch when he jumped at her touch. He was stammering on about his mother, her noting him crying for someone to stop.
“Hey! It’s me!” she shushed, brushing his hair out of his face, noting how he was sweating. Without a thought she clicked her emergency signal on her belt, knowing that there were hundreds of others who needed help but she could only see Jason. “You’re okay, I got you. Ja- Robin,” She corrected herself, trying to keep herself from having a panic attack. “Robin, you’re okay.”
The next morning Jason woke up in his bed with the worst migraine he’d ever had in his life. It didn’t take long before it all came back to him and he let out a loud groan. He’d never hallucinated that hard in his life. He’d been sprayed with fear gas once before and had to be put under anesthesia when he broke his leg really bad during his first year of being Robin and thought those times were bad but holy shit was last night a rough, he thought.  He swore he was back hiding under the dining room table in his parent’s shitty apartment as they went through one of the bouts.
           “You’re awake!”
He looked to his left to see Halley, looking more exhausted than he probably did, sitting on a chair next to his bed. He felt bad, clearly seeing how worried she looked, before he could apologize she punched his upper arm. He cried out, “Ow! What the hell was that for?”
“You scared me, you asshole!” She shouted. She hushed herself, not wanting to bring the attention of Alfred or Bruce into the room.
She brushed her hair over her shoulder before looking towards the door. Looking back at Jason she stood from the chair and leaned down to pull his face to hers, giving him a rough kiss. When she pulled away, her eyes searched his, as if making sure the antidote Bruce and Fox came with was really working.
“Why would you do that? I can’t believe you did that!” She hissed, feeling her eyes water up, remembering his face being so afraid of her touch last night. “I love you so much and you shouldn’t have taken your mask off.”
“I took my mask off ‘cause I love you.”  Jason teased, somewhat enjoying her fretting. She slapped him again causing him to laugh and concede, reaching to grab her hand in surrender.
“Gross, that’s so cheesy, Todd.” She scrunched her face up and snorted.
Halley stopped her train of thought when she saw Jason give her a confused look, wondering why she just suddenly froze. She took her head, looking around to find where she had thrown her shirt. She couldn’t find it and instead just threw on Jason’s, not even thinking twice about it.
“Yeah I know.” She said as she straightened it out over her. She looked up at him curiously, “I love you too. What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong,” he waved her off. It was true, he was completely satisfied at the moment. Well not completely; he had wished that she was back underneath the covers with him and her clothes were back on the floor.
“You sure?” she pressed, grabbing his boxers off her floor and tossing them to him.
“Yeah,” he assured, catching the material in his hands. “I just wanted to tell you I loved you that’s all. You know? I love you, don’t make it weird.” He shrugged, feeling heat rush back up to his cheeks.
His awkwardness was adorable to her and she couldn’t help but feel her features soften. With a light chuckle she moved towards the bed, jumping onto it and on him. He huffed, telling her to go easy has she roughly made her way on top of him, straddling his waist. She could still feel him underneath her clothes and seats and hummed. Maybe they did have time for another go?
Jason got the same idea just from the look in her eyes and was already pushing his shirt off of her as his lips attacked her neck. Halley let out a soft moan, grinding her hips down. She was about to raise her arms so he could remove the shirt from her torso but both teens froze, hearing the sound they dreaded hearing: the sound of a code being entered into the keypad outside of Halley’s door.

What do you guys think about the names Dustin and Darcy for my protagonists in Let's Go?
Cos i really wanted to play the co op mode thing by myself, just so i can pretend this role in the plot is filled by two siblings and have a bit of fun roleplaying that. But i dunno yet how the co-op works and whether you'd be able to customize the avatar of the second player or if its just the default trainer? Or can you only play co-op if you have two separate games? Im planning to buy the other version anyway once i get more money, so it could be fun to play my first version with sibling one and then the second playthru is sibling two's turn to shine!
Oh and the whole reason i wanted to do this is cos i wanna try out the customization features to make some ocs now that there's no competitive online stuff unless you pay a subscription fee (LOL NO THANKS). Like..i always felt like i HAD to make my character me in xy/sumo/usum, otherwise its like lying online? But of course i cant actually make me because theres no nonbinary option or even remotely ambiguous outfits for either gender. And you cant have wild hair colours while i dye my hair 24/7 irl lol. Its silly cos like 95% of the gym leaders and other characters ingame have anime hair colours yet the player has to be normal? So yeah i cpuldnt really enjoy making this innacurate defanged version of myself yet i didnt feel like i was allowed to just make up a new character either. Closest i could do was give myself white hair like my old trainersona when i was 12, lol. I mean i guess thats my 'real hair colour' underneath the dye right now, if you think about it that way?
OH GOD PIKACHU CAN HAVE A LITTLE TUXEDO AND BOWLER HAT HOLY FUCK IM SORRY TO INTERRUPT THIS BUT I WAS WATCHING THE IGN REVIEW AND THEY SHOWED PIKA BOWLER HAT PLEASE GO GOOGLE THAT VIDEO JUST FOR THAT 1 SECOND OF NEW FOOTAGE OF MY BEAUTIFUL CLASSY BOYE
okay where was i
Yeah! I think sibling trainers could be a good and unique way to handle a rival! Like having them be your sibling already establishes that rivalry. But it can be a soft and nice rivalry! I wanna go with that fun version rather than the full on angry exaggerated sibling rivalries you often see in kids media. Like i know that some people legit dont get on with their siblings and some people can even have a very gary esque full on rivalry thats sorta 'love to hate' or like..tsundere pretending you hate them. But personally i never had experience with that, i can never relate to those 'tfw u hate ur sibling and theyre always an asshole but lolll u love them anyway' posts. I only got to live with my little sister for a little while due to the catastrophe of abusive parenthood that was my childhood, and i lost contact with her forever when she was very young so i doubt she'd even remember me. *sigh* But like i don't think i only love her so much because i miss her! People say newborns and toddlers are the most bratty so like you'd think if i was gonna ever find her 'annoying' i would have done it back then. I was always just mega proud of her and whenever she'd be 'bratty' i'd be cheering her on and trying to protect her from mom. And when she'd try and pull pranks on me or practise play-fighting or whatever i was just like 'lol thats legit funny' and taking play-falls so she felt better about herself. Like we didnt have much power in that household so i felt like encouraging her pretending to be a wrestler would help her feel like she had some sort of control in some part of her life i guess? And just i wished i was allowed to roughhouse and run around and be all 'unladylike' and just enjoy BEING A KID when i was a kid, yknow? I always had legit fun being with her and legit enjoyed it and was legit proud and legit never annoyed. I just dont understand 'yeah she's annoying but i love her anyway'. I was only ever her rival as a play-rival to help encourage her to like.. Enjoy the things she enjoyed. Feel like someone else cared. I only ever acted like 'ha ha baby stuff yeah sure i hate hanging out with my sister" cos i thought i was SUPPOSED TO. I always felt so guilty doing it and so dissappointed cos id rather hang out with her than be a boring stereotypical teen tbh. I dunno, maybe this isnt typical for siblings and its just a sign of how badly we were raised? I was just real fuckin lonely and absolutely loved having a family member who loved me for the first time since my grandma died. Same reason i always used to act all 'i am too cool i totally am not soft for my lil sister' around my lil sister's dad. I really wanted him to love me too! I used to say swear words at him cos i thougjt he would thibk i was Cool And Adult?? I have soooo many cringe moments from that phase of my childhood. Man it hurts to think that i never actually did get to become that positive influence that protected my sister from my mum and let her know she was loved. Cos i was sent to live with my dad when she was like 5ish? And never saw her again and now im too scared to try and reach out to her again because 1: she probably doesnt even remember me, 2: theres a chance she believes my mum saying i was some horrible asshole who abandoned the family, 3: even bigger chance that contacting her could mean my mum finding me again and big fuckin risk of further abuse. Plus the awkwardness of introducing my trans self when she'd remember me as her sister and all. Sigh! All i can do is hope that her cool dad eventually got custody of her, and that he didnt turn out to be a secret bastard like when i met my own dad. He seemed good, but then again i was just a lil kid and my dad seemed good at first. Sighhhhhh...
SO UMM YEAH WOW I MADE MYSELF SAD
Anyway the point is that whenever i write siblings i'd rather write 100% unapologetic super loving love cos its wish fullfillment for me. This is also why in/cest shipping is a massive beserk button for me, good wholesome family relationships are REAL FUCKIN IMPORTANT and how DARE you corrupt that shit! Some people would fuckin KILL to have that wholesome family!!
Anyway lol thats why i'd like a Wholesome Rivalry for these sibling ocs! Like they challenge each other to contests along the way just for fun, and they react all 'wow my sis is the BEST' when you beat them, so hard feelings at all. And you dont JUST do rival stuff but also sometimes just hang out and have fun cos you missed each other. And if anyone threatens your sibling then THAT is the only time you see the Serious Sibling Power! Rival moments: ha ha lol bet ya cant beat me ooo im a scary villain LOL I CANT KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE HAHA! Giovanni punches your brother: *stony cold death glare from hell as tricksy prank sis turns into an unstoppable vengeance engine* Oh, but also the only other time they'd be serious is in their final battle together! Like most of the 'rivalry' is just competing to make the adventure fun and to help each other get stronger. But if sis/bro ever actually legit said they really want to fight to find out who's the best, and its like..important to help their self confidence, then i think bro/sis would respect that and go all out. Taking a fall and letting them win would be the most disrespectful thing of all! Oh, but i do think there would be one kind of battle like that during the story? Like in one of the more low stakes faux-rival fights the sibling actually does try and let you win, and the challenge is to try and lose against all odds. High stakes super failure battle!!! Imagine the evil team in the background like 'wtf' as these two run the most aggressively slow race of all time! XD
Oh and i kinda thought about different personalities for the two of them based on who you pick? Like i did like that aspect about brendan/may in RSE compared to other 'unpicked option becomes rival' characters in later games that didnt even have one personality let alone two. It just sucks that the personalities they decided to give them were 'female rival is super self concious and thinks youre better than her because youre a boy' and 'male rival is super ego and thinks he's better than you because he's a boy'. Boooo!
So instead of that the personalities i was thinking for these two would be less sexist lol. Male sibling Dustin is basically Wally so far? I need to develop him a bit more to make him a bit distinct, i mean its not like every single shy dude is identical. I'm thinking maybe mix him with all the wasted potential in Brendan? Like in the game they slightly hint at him having the ONE non stereotypical trait of liking cute teddy bears, and that made me think about how much better his whole plot would have been if it actually criticized his sexism and said that he only behaves that way cos he's overcompensating for being bullied for being 'feminine', yknow? And then in the manga they actually DO write him as super feminine, and even as a contest star who loves fashion and dressing up his pokemon! But then GAHHH they present it as some sort of fuckin 'character flaw', like he's shown to be selfish and superficial because of it. And the backstory is that him and the female protagonist used to be 'normal' until a traumatic event. Brendan was a Natural Fighting Prodigy until he saved his female friend from a wild pokemon and was so traumatized that he never wanted to fight again, while she wanted to learn to fight so she'd never need to be protected again. But this is not only presented as Wrong Ways To Be Gender but also like.. Fighting their natural instinct which still comes through?? Like male protag hasnt fought in YEARS yet whenever he's forced to fight he's just magically better at it than female protag who's been practising all these years to become his equal. Ha ha silly girl you can never achieve that! All you get is this patronizing 'well if you just tryyyyy girly things im sure you'll like it' plot and then you get rescued by him in the end because OF COURSE you do. Sigh! I cant believe they made me hate that pairing even more than the games did! So yeah i dont really wanna write Dustin as a jerkass who's secretly got synpathetic motives of internalized homophobia/sexism, cos i feel thats a plot very specific to my perceptuons of Brendan and id basically just have to make Dustin a clone of him and he wouldnt be able to shine on his own merits. Instead i'm just thinking of writing him as a 100% sensitive soul, and he still faces predjudice for not being that bigoted idea of an 'ideal man' but really the fact he doesnt bow down to their demands proves that he's the bravest person here.
And then I'm thinking maybe the female sibling Darcy is the older one and is a bit "gary ish"? Like eitjer way you still have a friendly and loving siblingness, but she's a bit more of a sass who is tsundere about admitting she loves her bro. But i dont think she's the cold or grumpy sort of tsundere, more like a trickstery tomboy? Bombastic loki jock sis! She can only be a bit abrasive with her bro cos she wants to teach him to be tough even when she's not there to protect him. But sometimes she can mess it up and make him feel like he has to change his personality in order to be tough, rather than letting him know she supports him in being "unmasculine" and just wants to help him find the confidence to stand up to people who bully him for it. Like she feels like she is 'weaker' than him in the sense that she worries too much about what people will think if she expresses her real emotions, yknow? Like theyre both suffering from toxic masculinity! He's suffering from the standard form where men who are too 'soft' are beaten down into that mould. Ans she's suffering from the problem where 'masculine' girls feel like they have to be '100% masculine' in order to be allowed to be themselves at all. Like back when i was a kid and before i came out as trans i always used to try and pretend to like sports ans like..cliche macho shit where you Cant Admit You Care About Your Friends and also i wasnt allowed to like ANY feminine things at all. I had to either follow the stereotype of femininity entirely or follow the opposite stereotype, i wasnt allowed to just reject stereotypes and like what i actually like. So yeah me realizing i wasnt really a girl has led to me embracing more 'girly' things than back when i thought i was one! So i think Darcy would have a similar arc but like..the cis equivelant? Just finds people who arent such judgmental pricks and stops having to conform to either of those stereotypes in order to keep fake friends who dont really give a shit about her. She can have a plot about both forced feminine and masculine stereotypes being equally limiting, rather than that shitty 'being masculine is a prison uwu every woman will be happier embracing her love of makeup' shit. That dominant narrative just made me feel like i was somehow wrong about myself whenever i didnt like 100% Of Sports All The Time, i must be somehow girly if i liked even ONE girly thing yet i needed hundreds of proofs if i wanted to be masculine. And like i wasnt just allowed to be neither! I wasnt allowed to like parts of both! I wasnt allowed to BE GODDAMN TRANS!!! So yeah i dunno if i'd go whole hog and make this character a trans man or a nonbinary person tho? I think she's just actually a cis girl who happens to be sporty and brash and likes a lot of 'masculine' fashion and hobbies. And she's just been made to feel self concious about it, as if she cant possibly REALLY be that unless she likes Every Single Boy Thing and wins at Every Single Challenge. Does anyone else remember that shit too? The girls have to win Every sports game against the boys in order to be 'one of the boys' but if you lose even one of them it somehow proves that you're inferior. Even though the boys lost 50 billion games to you and that doesnt prove theyre inferior! Like man she has sooooo many 'gary rivals' in her school life, thats why she loves going on this adventure with a kind brother rival who actually respects her! So her resolution would just be her staying the same but being more confident about it and saying fuk u to those fake friends. Same as her brother's plot, just they both face different specifics to the way this sexism affects them, yknow?
Oh but yeah when i did finally learn about LGBT stuff and realize i was trans it was Big Amazing cos even in the rare stories about Its Okay To Be Yourself it still left me feeling weirdly empty when the girl decides that yes she does wanna be a girl in the end. So i get that these plots might come off as queerbaiting if i write them badly? I need to make sure to make it clear that these characters 100% want to be seen as this gender and its just other people being fuckfaces and trying to define what their gender has to mean. I think maybe i'll try and mitigate this potential misunderstanding by adding different sorts of lgbt content. And, well, also cos i just want lgbt content in all of my stories because i am lgbt, of course! I'm 100% sure that Darcy is gay, and i think also maybe possibly Dustin is trans? Like, his plot is about being mocked for being a 'feminine' boy, but its also even more personal for him because he's a trans boy and he feels like he needs to change his personality in order to pass/he isnt really real because his personality doesnt fit the stereotypical image of a man. Like if you'd looked at the two of them back when they were identical twins, you probably would have expected Darcy to end up being trans if you were the sort of person who believes those basic ass stereotypes about 'boys who play with barbies and girls who play with trucks'. Or i mean maybe its the other way around and Darcy is a trans girl who still has a 'masculine' personality according to stereotypes? Or even both of them are trans and both face being told that they arent real because they dont fit the perfect stereotype of a trans person according to cis perceptions? Or maybe i'm overcomplicating things with all of this and it'd just muddy the message i guess. I might just keep it to them both being cis but also both of them like girls. And i can always apply my trans and other LGBT headcanons to other characters along their adventure.
Anyway LOL im rambling too much!

I gotta say "wow" to begin with, I really like your take on "what if the toons created the humans" (kinda like a swap au) and your fanfiction is honestly pretty damn good. Having said that I would love to write something for the "sinners and saints au" (that's the swap one right??, apologies if I got it wrong) and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving me a more in depth description of the characters?? Anyways keep up the amazing work! !
Thank you!— and yes, the Sinners and the Saints AU is the swap one. I’d love to see your take on it, and would be more than happy to dig into my characterizations. Keep in mind, this will be my take on them, and @insanityallegra might have different ones in her stories. So, the characters!
Bendy: Bendy is the original Creator of both Henry and Joey, the show’s main characters. He’s proud of them, loves his work, and prior to everything going wrong, was a very happy-go-lucky sorta fellow. He’s the one to put forth the idea of bringing their characters to life. Alice and Boris— his partners at the studio— agree, and together they build the Crimson Machine. Bendy often overworks himself and feels the need to face any problems they have in the studio head on. He cares about his creations, and on some level, he totally understands their pain and anger. He doesn’t blame them for hating him, since he’s one of the primary sources of their suffering, for all that his intentions were never to hurt them. Bendy’s kind of an optimistic pessimist. He wants to make things better, but he’s also pretty sure he’s going to die at the humans’ hands. I wouldn’t necessarily call him a scaredy cat, but he very much understands that he’s in near constant danger— something that would take a toll on anyone— and he’s a bit jumpy. He’d also much rather run than be forced to fight, since, like I said, he really does care about his creations. After creating Henry, he gets a bit more hopeful that things might turn out okay, but he’s also paranoid and suspicious that Henry might not be as saintly as he thought. But he’s low on options, which means that even though he might be afraid of Henry sometimes, Bendy sticks with him. On some level, at least, Henry is protective of him, and Bendy can trust that if nothing else.
Alice: Alice is fairly level-headed, and it takes a lot for her to lose her temper. When she does, however, you’d best steer clear. She makes up the most of the common sense in the trio, and while she loves her work at the studio as much as the next toon, she felt a bit distanced from some of the work up until the creation of Susie, for which she was responsible. I really recommend reading insanityallegra’s Regret (https://star-going-supernova.tumblr.com/post/168806287866/the-sinners-and-the-saints-regret), because it does a great job of capturing Alice through Susie. Like Bendy, Alice cares about the humans and hates that they’re obviously in pain. She was the first to favor the idea of killing the humans, not because they were scary (though they definitely do become that) but because she can’t stand to see how much suffering they’re in. Whether or not Alice can be saved from the merge with Susie, is currently unknown (and very well may differ between authors). Boris: I haven’t gotten around to figuring Boris out much, but I have him pegged as a chill, laid-back sorta guy. He can prank with the best of them, and he’s a huge part of the music department at the studio. He knows when to be serious and when to be funny, and he agrees with Alice that putting the humans down is the best mercy they can give. While he doesn’t have as close a connection to any of the characters like Bendy and Alice do, he cares about them just as much. Having to defend himself from them is worse for him than the others, since Boris is tall enough to actually do some damage in a fight. And because of his size, running and hiding isn’t often an option like it is for most of the rest of the toons, leading him to have to fight more often than not. Joey is Bendy’s biggest problem, and Susie was Alice’s, but unlike them, Boris doesn’t have a human hunting him down. That being said, however, even in this world, there’s something about the music department that draws Sammy in, and you can bet that sooner or later, there’s gonna be a confrontation. Boris’s current status is unknown. Joey: In the cartoon, Joey was a happy troublemaker, always getting into silly predicaments and going on adventures. His hammerspace doesn’t work correctly, and he’s constantly got a beef with Sammy for reasons that only seem to make sense to the two of them. He’s got a penchant for getting others involved in his problems, and while he often seems aloof, he cares very much about his friends. Joey’s got a real temper on him, and can react over-dramatically to a lot things. Here’s the physical description of his monster form, courtesy of insanityallegra: “One green eye glared down at Bendy, the pupil pie-cut just like in the show… And he was certainly tall, much, much taller than Bendy… But half of his face was… melted… Crimson continually pouring off of him in a never ending waterfall. He was missing a chunk out of his other side, again continuously bleeding thick crimson liquid and leaving that part of his shirt and jacket hanging loose. His left foot was straight-up missing, the right too large and twisted unnaturally. One of his arms was (almost uncannily) on-model, the other one completely bone with red chunks of flesh sticking to it. His face was twisted into a permanent, plastic smile, dripping crimson onto the floor from half of his head. What was there of his hair was matted down with the liquid.” In short, Joey’s in a lot of pain, and he has no problem placing the blame for it on Bendy. Now that he’s alive, and thus realizing that everything he thought was real is nothing more than a lie, he’s angry and upset, and the fact that the toons unknowingly denied him his best friend makes everything even worse. The rest of the humans look to him as an authority, and he’s the one that leads their little rebellion, trapping everyone inside the studio and initiating the hunting and capturing of the toons. He’s beyond reason at this point, and very much serves as a parallel to in-game ‘Bendy,’ being mindless in his rage, unwilling to back down, almost impossible to injure, and bent on revenge. Henry: In the cartoon, Henry plays the role of Joey’s guardian angel, and he’s got the wings and halo to prove it. He serves as a foil to Joey while also complimenting his personality. Henry’s a combination of patient, helpful, and cunning, with a generous dash of humor. He’s level-headed, and being best friends and guardian of Joey has left him pretty hard to surprise. He’s not much different outside of the show, remaining a curious sort of paradox between being all-around good and a peculiar sort of devious. Once he’s brought to life, there’s something not-quite-right about him, though. Oh, it’s nothing to do with his appearance; in fact, Henry’s the only one of the humans to come out on-model and in full color, with his navy sweater vest, red bowtie, blue eyes, and gold halo and wings. But for all that he does well in protecting Bendy and seems to genuinely want to help the humans without harming the toons, Bendy can’t help but feel that he’s missing something. Depending on how long it’s been after his creation, Henry could be written as anything from a character slowly going dark-side (but whether or not he will, you’ll just have to wait and see) to a character that’s fiercely protective and a perfect saint. Are Bendy’s suspicions that Henry’s associating with Joey true? Or is Henry as committed as Bendy is to finding a peaceful end to this mess? All I’m saying is that Henry has secrets, no doubt about it. But as for what those secrets are? Henry’s not tellin’ anytime soon. Sammy and Norman: I’m lumping these two together, since they spent most of their time in the show as best friends dealing with Joey’s antics. Sammy’s the more easily tempered of the two, and he’s perpetually grumpy. He takes delight in messing with Joey, and he has the tendency to be a bit callous. Norman is quiet and is to Sammy as Henry is to Joey. That being said, he can be just as much a thorn in Joey’s side when he wants to, and he ends up helping Sammy with his own antics and keeps him from going too far. They’re both on fairly friendly terms with Henry, Norman more so than Sammy. Neither of them mean Joey any true harm, but every good cartoon needs characters to return the slapstick nonsense. You can almost think of them as a cross between Donald Duck and Pete from the Mickey cartoons, Sammy more than Norman— in that they’re not really villains, and actually do end up on the same side as Joey and Henry sometimes, but their roles often focus on comedic antagonists. Of course, there are lots of toons and humans that also exist, though they’ve yet to be anything other than background characters for me. I know @liliflower137 and @guess-my-country each have designs for specific Searchers. I haven’t figured out a place for Wally just yet, though I’m opening to seeing where others might take him. Susie is very well described in insanityallegra’s Regret, like with Alice. I hope this was helpful, friend, and if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask them!  :)

#iZombie Season 3 Episode 12 "Looking for Mr. Goodbrain, Part 1," Recap/Review
Behold the second to last episode of the season and there are still so many questions!
Was Vivian actually killed in the helicopter crash? Who killed Wally and his family? How is the Weckler case connected to everything?
and... just what exactly is Chace Graves up to besides looking incredibly hot?
Last week we found out Harley John’s was turned into a zombie during the scuffle and this week we join him in his bunker where Clive and Liv have secured him and are trying to feed him brains. He’s resistant to acting like the monster he's been turned into- but finally gives in which allows Major to knock him out so they can freeze him until they figure out what to do with him.
Over at the lab, Ravi shows Liv the front page with her face on it. Granted it’s a low-level trash rag but it’s enough to make Liv panic. Ravi gets a sudden visit from Katty, his old boss from the CDC, who is concerned about the article and lets him know as Liv hides under the desk. Katty tells Ravi not to focus on the silly zombie stuff, which apparently got him fired from his last job, and to focus on the new Aleutian Flu virus that’s becoming an epidemic.
Meanwhile, it seems every season is crap on Major season. This guy just cannot catch a break! We all know that Fillmore Graves is the only place the “chaos killer” feels safe ever since "Shady Shawna" posted all his goodies on the internet. Of course, Chace Graves has discovered he is not a zombie and Major gets fired. THANK GOD! Luckily, his boys do not turn against him and decide to throw him one last bro-bash!
“You might be human, but you’re one of the good ones!” -Justin
Peyton and Liv discuss the Weckler case and Liv’s new notoriety.
“A cute monster!” -Peyton (referring to Liv's cover girl look)
Which leads us to the unveiling of OG Liv!
Over at the lab, Liv is running late and Rachel (ugh) pays a visit to Ravi, actually trying to get more information out of him! The nerve of that girl! Ravi tries to get rid of her so she doesn’t see Liv but luckily, Liv arrives tanned and dyed!
The brains of the week arrive and at the crime scene, much to Ravi’s horror, the body of  his old boss Katty, the one that paid him a visit earlier is discovered. She was bludgeoned on the head and stabbed around the corner from a hotel that she possessed a key card to. Let the investigation begin!
Liv wants to know if there is anything weird she needs to know about Katty before she makes her tasty treat. Ravi says nothing except she might find herself attracted to him…Ravi had previously had some hate sex with her a few times.
“So much for nothing weird!” -Liv
Clive brings in Katty’s work things-she was in Seattle working on this flu outbreak thing. Apparently, much of her work is done in bars considering the amount of writing on cocktail napkins. Mostly she had been interviewing people on a flight from Paris to Seattle and there were four passengers she had not finished so it’s off to work for these three.
Ravi in concerned the outbreak may be cause by bio-terrorism and we learn Clive is a MAJOR germaphobe. It’s hilarious!
As they interview the first passenger, Liv gets a vision! It’s literally the best vision ever because it’s of sex-WITH RAVI! #teamravioli (look it up if you don’t get the reference). Awkward!
As sexy as Ravi is, I can see why Liv is disgusted!
The fun continues and she proceeds to gets another one and then she cannot dare look at him anymore.
“Oh, please for the love of all things good and holy just make this stop!” -Liv
The interview continues and we get some racist remarks about a passenger next to her being like Ravi (brown). Of course, when they bring him in he is like a pussycat. They interview him but now Ravi is forced to stand at the back of the room with Clive.
Over at Peyton’s office, Barracus offers Peyton his Chief of Staff position. Mostly because he knows that she knows about the existence of zombies. She is hesitant because she still thinks he might be a murderer but he manages to lower her suspicion.
Over at sulking Major’s, he receives a text from the beautiful Natalie who happens to be in town.
She asks him to meet him at the space needle, but she turns up at his front door wearing a "Chaos Killer" T-shirt and looking smokin’ per usual. Dare we be happy for Major again in hopes his luck will turn around?
“Oh, come on, like I’d be seen at the Space Needle with the Chaos Killer?” -Natalie
Anytime we see a smile like this it never turns out well for him.
So, of course, they sit on the couch and catch up on everything. Natalie thanks Major for saving her and I am sure is about to thank him properly here in the next half hour.
She is gorgeous…
Liv is out looking for clues while dressed to the nines at the hotel bar where Katty was staying. The brains she is on have made her into quite the flirt and she loses her head for a minute and almost goes to bed with a random guy at the bar! Liv!
Back at the lab, Liv still won’t look at Ravi while they are working.
“It’s not my fault we brain banged!” -Ravi
Peyton stops by to inform Liv of her new offer and Liv encourages it.
Liv heads out to the hotel bar again and chats up a warm body. I am guessing Katty was not too picky about her conquests. She almost goes to his room as well but luckily stops herself. She calls up Justin to solidify their relationship status.
“I’ve been meaning to tell you…we’re zombies.” -Justin
After helping Natalie move, Major gets a rub down from Natalie and pulls a "Raider’s of the Lost Ark" move…nice one Major!
It works and Major and Natalie plan a happy future after she invites him to live with her in Italy. Happy ending?
Over at Harley’s compound, his idiot friends have let his body out of the ice box not knowing he is a zombie. He defrosts on the couch while they watch the news and…I don’t see this ending well for them.
And it doesn’t…
Clive takes Liv to the bar Katty frequented, hoping to spark a vision. She doesn’t tell him she’s been a bar fly there for the past few days but it becomes obvious when she is recognized. Clive doesn’t seem to notice but Liv does realize what she has been doing, and why, when she discovers Katty goes home with a different man every night.
Clive interview the last passenger and discovers a man switched seats with a man in coach so he could sit with his wife. It turns out to be the very seat Katty has scribbled on a cocktail napkin, 17D. Bingo!
Meanwhile, Major's going away party is in full swing and Liv is supposed to meet Justin there but the brain she’s on has other plans.
She actually tries to leave the bar when this happens…
Enough said!
So, the two have flirty drinks and Liv is acting like quite the little seductress. This time she doesn’t have to resist the urges because Chace is a zombie too. So of course, she doesn’t resist and honestly-I can’t blame her!
Meanwhile, Clive has discovered who was sitting in 17D-it just happens to be a friend of zombie child Tatum Weckler. Not only that, Patrice (the passenger on the Paris flight), also happens to be the daughter of Fillmore Graves brass, Carey Gold. This is just too much of a coincidence so I am guessing it’s NOT!
Back at party central, Major is being toasted in the sweetest way before Justin asks to talk to him outside. He’s worried about where Liv might be and well, he really should be.
Back in Chace’s room Liv is feeling a little guilty.
To quote my friend Allyson Alford, “this episode is worth it for the shot of Jason brushing his teeth alone.”
In lieu of more of my boring description of how incredible sexy Jason Dohring (Chace Graves) is, here are some photos for your viewing pleasure…
Chace chats as Liv starts to gather herself to leave. He even tells her he has been thinking about her since the Barracus fundraiser.
But Liv finds a cocktail napkin with Katty’s name and room number written down so…what the hell? Could Chace be the killer? I think Fillmore Graves is behind it.
Mmmm…tough to resist THAT offer!
Back at the party, the boys grow suspicious of a random dude drinking beer that does not seem to belong.
Turns out it’s Harley, fresh off his brain feed and ready to do some damage via suicide vest.
“Zombies are an abomination, that’s what we are abominations!” -Harley
And with that he blows the entire party into teeny bits-Major and Justin are still outside but everyone else (including a bunch of soldiers and Natalie) is inside when it happens.
Talk about going out with a bang!
I know its wishful thinking, but I hope Natalie got out someway!
To be continued…
Episode Rating: 9 out of 10.
I want to give it a 10, but I am going 9. Only because I wanted to see more Ravi visions (although these was probably too much to cover in this episode so why not a longer season???) and Blaine was not in it which is always a minus in my book!
