Did you like Monarch: Legacy of Monsters?
I sure did! I liked seeing more of Godzilla vs the Golden Gate Bridge, lol. And also Godzilla taking a nap in the desert, under the sand. And of course, Godzilla vs the Castle Bravo bomb. And when Godzilla went through the rift thing. I do wish Serizawa and Graham had been in it, tho, even as a cameo.

Fic idea represented through meme

the other Titans just watching the fight, like, "i don't know what's going on over there and i don't want to know," is so funny

Dunno if anyone ever asked, but... how would the Monsterverse Kaiju + MONARCH (mostly the ones from your Au's) react to Shin Godzilla?
Giggle-snort over how silly he looks.

I just realized the Monsterverse roughly follows the same evolution the original franchise had.
It starts off with solely Godzilla (and two others) in a dark and realistic horror-like movie, gets another movie that introduces more titans but is still relatively grounded, and then devolves into what I can only describe as what bashing action figures would look like if it was a film with a multi-million dollar budget.
Sounds about right! I love how you put it, lol.

Will we see a tiny tiamat
Not sure, but for right now, I don't have plans to write Tiamat. Mostly because she doesn't particularly interest me the way Shimo does.
Tumblr media
I super duper want to say yes, but I really don't know for sure.

First Contact
Chapter 3: Shimo
Playful cries of fake fear, too tangled with laughter for them to sound real, followed a quartet of bodyguard-looking men heading toward her targets. A bright glow on the floor caught her attention through the crowd’s legs. It was being dragged by the four men.  It took every ounce of her training not to react when they left the tangle of people and marched into the small open space surrounding the group she was spying on.  That was a mini Titan they had in chains. A Titan.
read it on ao3!

Just read again "93% Stardust", and noticed something.
So, we all know that Godzilla is also called "The Monster That Ate A Star", right?
And in your fic, Maddie consumed part of Star, too (and Ghidorah too, lol).
... like father like daughter :]
eating stars runs in the family, oh my gosh XD

Star how would you write Maddie into GvK? Personally I'd have her being close with Jia, a sort of big sibling role, wanting to be for Jia what Andrew was to her. She obviously accompanies them into the Hollow Earth and it'd be discovered that she's part of the prophecy that say's Jia will reawaken Mothra, she awakens Mothra with her and Mothra shows signs of recognising her from the temple in China. I imagine Mothra would then tell Godzilla about her and she becomes to them what Jia is to Kong.
If we're talking how I would've done the movie, not just how I'll write GxK fics, then I most definitely would've built it off my Ted Talk GvK rewrite. She and Jia would've remained close for sure, and I'd expand on the implications at the end, re: Maddie's connection to Godzilla.
In that rewrite, I left all the other Titans alive and family-like, so Mothra wouldn't have needed to be woken up (and there'd be no fight with Scylla, ftr). I wouldn't have had Maddie go into the Hollow Earth because she's more involved with Godzilla and getting him the power-up he clearly believes he needs. So Jia and Co would still be down there and find the Iwi and help Kong, but there'd be no Mothra bit. Other than that, I wouldn't do too much differently, I have very few notes for this movie (I enjoyed it waaaay more GvK).
I think the biggest change I would've made would be when Skar King reaches the surface. Instead of being faced with an unsuspecting city, he finds a veritable army of Titans who have gathered to stand sentinel between him and the rest of the world. They wouldn't all be involved in the fight (that would still be between him, Kong, Godzilla, and Shimo) but it would be a representation of how times have changed. Before, it was just Godzilla keeping Skar King from taking over/destroying (?? unclear) the world. Now, it's all of them.
I particularly like the image of the four of them coming out of the Hollow Earth deeper in the ocean, and Skar King looking towards land only to see a literal wall of Titans along the empty beach.

If you're up for it, maybe Gregory being really hurt (both physically and emotionally?) and Cassie comforting him. Just flipping the usual dynamic in a nice way.
Prompt from PearlofProdigia on ao3!
Comfort from a Friend
“Dad, can Gregory sleep over tonight?” Cassie hollered back into her house almost as soon as she’d opened the front door.
A clatter came from the kitchen, joined by some low chuckling. “I’ll set the table for three, then. Dinner’s in an hour!”
“Thanks, Dad, you’re the best!” And with that taken care of, Cassie reached out, grabbed her best friend’s wrist, and pulled him inside.
Gregory looked terrible. He hadn’t said a word, not even one of his usual silly jokes when she answered the door. There were bruises—a lot of bruises—littering his visible skin, and a fresh cut sliced through his right cheek, which was streaked with dried blood. More stained his clothes.
He limped after her, silent. Cassie closed her bedroom door behind them, gently pushing him to sit on the bed. He belatedly kicked his shoes off with a mumbled apology.
She joined him, encouraging him to get comfortable rather than simply perch on the very edge. His movements were stiff, pained. She stretched out to reach her ibuprofen on her nightstand.
He accepted it with a weak smile and tossed the pills back dry before she could even stand up to get him a cup of water.
“What happened?” Cassie asked quietly. And she didn’t just mean how he got injured. There was something almost frightening in his eyes. A dullness, an emptiness. Gregory was hurt far more than these surface wounds.
He took a deep, shaky breath, then told her everything. He rushed through some of it, clearly summed up a lot, and ended with, “And then I kinda just sat in the woods behind the park for a while before coming here,” as if that didn’t imply he’d been in a state of shock for literal hours.
Cassie trembled in suppressed rage. Someone had spent all night trying to murder her best friend, and she’d just been asleep in her safe, cozy bed, none the wiser. Enough was enough—she knew her dad wasn’t quite done with the required training to become a foster parent but like hell was her best friend spending another night on the streets. Or at the foster home he’d been sent to, which was practically the same thing when it came down to it.
Having maintained a bit of distance for his story, plenty able to tell that Gregory hadn’t quite been ready for comfort until he’d gotten it all out, Cassie scooted closer, wrapped her arms around him, and went full octopus mode.
He sniffled and twisted so they were facing each other and then buried his face in the crook of her neck.
“I’ve got you, Gregory,” she whispered. “You’re safe now.”
His fingers dug into her back before switching to clutching handfuls of her shirt. He shook in her arms, but his crying was silent. Her shoulder grew damp.
As she rocked them in place, Cassie started to plan. There was enough time before dinner was ready for Gregory to take a shower—besides the blood, he was a bit crusty with dirt and dust—and get into some clean clothes. While he was doing that, Cassie would give her dad the lowdown so he could help with patching up the injuries that most certainly existed out of sight. Then, during dinner, if Gregory looked well enough, they’d finally share their plan to officially induct Gregory into the family. If not, they could do it over breakfast tomorrow.
The worst hadn’t happened, she reassured herself. Gregory was alive, he was here, and if she knew her friend, he’d bounce back soon enough. She’d be there for him in the meantime, through bad days and nightmares and whatever other trials awaited them. Whether he needed hugs, distractions, or a shoulder to lean on, Cassie had his back.

Now I just want to see Grandma human Shimo dealing with 14 years old gremlin Maddie
But
Grandma is up to the shenanigans and none of the other titans are safe and the day finish off with watching old tv shows with each of them eating a bowl of ice cream…
:)
As adorable as grandma human!Shimo would be, I've kinda got a different vibe in mind for her (human or otherwise). I don't know if there's anything in canon that would support or contradict it (not that that would stop me, hehe), but I'm going to give her a slightly younger vibe compared to the others. Partly caused by trauma, admittedly, but also because I love the "younger sibling is bigger than older sibling" trope and that's the vibe I want Godzilla and Shimo to have. I have plans for them.

Just found out about the only Ghidorah that was 100% good, aka King Ghidorah from the film Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.
And I actually like the idea, it's kinda cool to see Ghidorah being good, even if it's an idea used only in that film.
So, what do you think would happen if somehow GMK!Ghidorah ended up in the Monsterverse, maybe in one of your Au's?
I've done my own explorations of a Ghidorah turning good, but a Ghidorah who was just never evil to begin with? Wowza. Anyway, you specifically mean good!Ghidorah popping in to a world where an evil!Ghidorah still exists, which would be so funny, imo.
Evil!Ghidorah would hate his goody-two-shoes alternate self. He'd want to fight them 100%. He's trembling with rage; what do you mean this version of him is besties with Godzilla? Blasphemy.
And then I think most of the other Titans would inch away from him uncomfortably. How can they trust this lookalike who claims to be nice?
Humans, of course lacking context, are in a panic because one Ghidorah was already too much, and now there are two! I think they would probably try to attack him, and in the end, Godzilla and/or other Titans begrudgingly step in to protect him.

Hello! I just wanted to ask, do you give permission for any of your fics to be book-binded? (obviously for personal use only) - book binding is something on my creative hobby bucket list I've been wanting to try for a while and I really love a lot of your MonsterVerse fics! Hope you have been well ^w^
Hello! First of all, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my stories! Second of all, oh my gosh, I would be honored if you chose one of my fics for book binding! If you're comfortable sharing, I'd love to see pics of the final product!
Good luck, friend, and I hope you're doing well too!
