twin peaks, the x files and northern exposure are essentially the superwholock of the early 90s, or even moreso. like, you could really believe they all took place in the same universe, with the same aesthetics and the same magic realism sorts of rules and unreality.

I really forgot how aesthetically similar the dialogue styles and characterization styles are between TXF and NE, the same slight exaggerations of traits, the same rather formal, even belaboured speech patterns -- in a really id satisfying way. Getting into rewatches of all 3 shows in the last 6 months or so has been fascinating.
