I’m listening to two older couples talking in the MRI office waiting room. They’re discussing restaurants and getting the 72 oz. steak for free if you can eat it all and competitive eating. One guy’s nephew drank a gallon of water every day for a week to stretch out his stomach so he could win his meal. It didn’t work that well. He had to pay for the 8 lb. hamburger. (Because they made him eat the sides too!) One guy’s friend got a seafood allergy after getting all-you-can-eat crab legs the previous week .
Then I heard this one sentence:
They’re the ones that ruin it for the rest of us.
Next was a spirited exchange about Tabasco sauce.
Now they’re talking about grapes: should they go in chicken salad?

Anyone with fish/shellfish allergies ever have a cross reaction to topical retinol products? I got a new skin cream with retinol in it, but Olay won't tell me its source....so i'm risking it. It's probably fine and i'm just a worrier/anxiety ridden humanoid. The retinol could be sourced from plants for all I know, but what a shitty stance to take as a company. Sorry can't tell you if this contains a life threatening allergen because our formula is a secret. FDA really needs an overhaul.

Was proper haggis already illegal in the USA in the 1960s/70s? Would both types of asparagus be available (apparently it's very popular in Germany)? Can Pyro get hold of jicama, epazote, huitlacoche, or most of their favourite peppers? And has Sniper discovered his cheese-and-pineapple sandwich heritage yet?
black market Mann Co imported authentic ingredients except they’re sourced from like war-torn Queensland or some shit. made by soldiers in the fuckin Maine-Delaware War. because this is tf2 and sure let’s go ahead and do that now
one day someone reads the can of base scout uses for his Authentic Homemade Clam Chowder and doesn’t have the heart to tell him that all the clams within it are exclusively immigrant clam orphans

Very unpopular opinion I think but I really dislike Thanksgiving food and I am not excited for the leftovers :(
The best thing though is being black and getting collard greens LOL. My family can cook but I dunno I’m just so over it all

🔥 food
it bugs me a lot that "eats seafood but not meat" is seen as a normal and valid dietary preference but "eats meat but not seafood" is seen as weird or even bothersome. especially if it's not a restriction based on allergy. sometimes people can't or don't want to eat seafood, can we please just be normal about this already
also every youtube chef on the planet is wrong about mashed potatoes. you don't need ridiculous amounts of butter to make them taste good. what you want is a bit of plain yogurt or sour cream (any form of fermented dairy really) and a SMALL amount of butter. and use the boil water instead of milk to thin it out
