Looks like I haven't posted this artwork on Tumblr.

A 2019 Treasure Planet fan-illustration for a Disney Zine I participated in when my colours were going crazy with vibrance X) I love Treasure Planet, it is one, if not the most of my favourite Disney movies. The father\son relationship between Jim and Silver melts my heart every watch.

Today in "is it a dress or is it a layer cake" is this confection from 1872. There are so many layers here, it's a little difficult to tell where one ends and another begins! The listing is from Augusta Auctions, and it indicates that it's a four-piece gown--so indeed, parts of it can be added or taken away. The polonaise overskirt (the puffy part of the hips) is a callback to the 18th century, while the neckline is thoroughly 1870s.

The taffeta layers are edged in what's called double-boxed pinked pleats. The scalloped design is also certainly part of a 1700s revival (not to mention those sleeves!).

I absolutely adore the color of this pink, too. It reminds me of some of the cherry blossoms one might see in spring, especially with the trim.

Okay, he’s an angry spider/crab/scorpion alien who kills people. Not the friendliest of fellas, but he’s got blorbo man potential(if you dig a little)! Also, he’s gay, I’ve decided it. In that Scroop x Reader fic that I'm planning scenes for, I was thinking that Scroop could end up needing cyborg parts after free-floating in the Etherium for too long. The general idea is that he either lost a limb or he needed one amputated.

That's all fine and dandy but now I'm left with a choice and I hate making choices. I'm thinking of having Scroop either lose an arm and needed to relearn how to properly use it after having it replaced. He'd need to teach himself how to control it in a way it matches the skill of his real hand.

Or, Scroop could lose one or two legs and would need to work out not only the balance of originally missing them but later on how to walk using them. Not only would he be heavier, which for someone that climbs a lot would be inconvenient, but he'd also have to learn how to use them in conjunction with his other limbs.

Both could work and I could very much have him lose both. That would completely throw off his coordination but it would mean losing some scenes but adding others.

And yes, the only decision I really made is the fact I want him as a cyborg in this. You know, since all he's gonna see in himself would be Silver and that opens up self-growth for him.

(We ignore the typo in the poll itself, the "English is not my first language" is showing since I wrote this at 4:30am)
