#on a serious note i do think he is the best one-off protagonist of any of the movies #half his tests werent even really to teach him anything jigsaw just wanted to spite him which was really funny. and then he died SO badly #but like he seemed like he actually changed by the time he won his game (did he technically win it even though he died? i cant remember)#which automatically puts him ahead of like. a lot of other movie specific protags (looking at you jeff denlon) in that the jigsaw doctrine #actually worked on him. and he had an actual reason to be there that wasnt like. he was kinda depressed. or one of those people that were #an accessory to someone elses game. like remember bobby dagens wife. wasnt that fucked up #honestly saw 6 was a great movie in most ways but i do think easton shouldve lived. like he won his game n got the memo but they killed him #anyway for like. shock value or something #basically i like him :)#unrelated to easton but the shotgun carousel is the best trap in the whole series btw #🫀

and like sidenote if i can make a post with a target audience of zero. i feel like fhsy was to d20 what aa3 was to ace attorney but aa3 pulled it off better for reasons i cannot explain

#it is. the amatonormativity #^ guy who was REALLY pissed about the sandra lynn stuff #like yknow that bit in the first ep where brennan is like 'oh this drama is going down' and so like the pcs investigate it #probs bcos they think itll like kick off their new quest #and then it turns out to be like. petty romantic drama.#thats kind of a microcosm of the entire season for me #not to say there werent parts i liked (looks at the picture of baron i printed out and hung on my wall)#(and most of the leviathan stuff was brilliant and ayda is a role model for me)#but its all so tied up in the rest of that shit that i dont rlly wanna rewatch it the way ive rewatched fy 6+ times #likening this to aa3 bcos of the rlly noticeable uptick in romantic content in it compared to the rest of the trilogy #like prior to that all that rlly comes to mind is like. 2-3 and pearl's shipping shenanigans and larry existing #but in aa3 both mia and phoenix have past lovers who play big parts #theres a married couple theres tigre and viola (who sidenote i ENTIRELY missed as romantic my first playthru. i am dense)#there's the business with fawles #like it felt like romance played a large part in every case in aa3 #where even when it came up in 1 + 2 it was usually ancillary (2-3 excepted but like. ppl regard that case as a fluke in most regards)#you COULD argue that maggey and adrian also inject some romantic presence in the story #but idk it just doesnt feel as central or prevalent as in aa3 #like i saw a post abt adrian and celeste being cousins in the aa anime being not just the sailor moon 'best cousins' thing #but like. reinforcing the themes of familiar devotion as aa2's core. and that was rlly foundational to my understanding of the game #even tho its a change that comes from an adaptation #whereas you Couldnt make that change in aa3 without it changing A Lot of shit #where was i going with this. shrug.#the zelda and tracker relationship drama was entirely manufactured as punishing the pcs for not centering npcs #whose relationship issues were ancillary to the overarching plot they were focused on and which hadnt rlly been brought up beforehand #'why didnt gorgug call zelda :/' do u want zac to pause the kalina mystery to roleplay good relationship communication with the dm??#like its one thing looking at sy as a narrative but looking at it as a ttrpg campaign with limited time and a need to split character focus #i dont see what it did for the story besides give gorgug something to angst abt. didnt rlly feel like there was character growth or an arc #sigh. MANDATORY DISCLAIMER its been at least a year since i watched sy and longer before that since ive played aa3 #but at the time my feelings were strong and have only calcified. romance as a theme in something not generally abt romance

Anyone else playing love and deep space cuz I gotta ask if you walked in with a favourite but as you progressed you either got a new fave or you still like the one you first picked but got hit in the face with a frying pan by another character for everything else

#I started off liking Zayne the most cuz I was like Oof a cool and guarded man with pretty eyes? sign me up for that shit #and I kept getting slapped with Rafayel all. the. time. and then after I obtained the ssr memory pair and read book 6 or 7 I switched #and now Xavier is getting me softer now and I’m here like wow the one I walked in with is 3rd 💀💀#fourth if we count the childhood best friend that we saw for like 2 chapters #but before I got sweet on Rafayel I was so mad that his affection bad was at 57 while Zayne was at 49 like bruh was jumping me every time #it was worst with the card pullings cuz he’d ALWAYS appear like bruh let me get those other dudes too cuz they have pretty cards as well 😭😭

HE!!!!!!!!!!!!#image 2: I found a patch of these clovers that were kind of mutated or infected or something? like they were not actually Red clovers #it was patches of totally normal green clovers except every once in a while one of them would have one leave thats red or half red or even #be completely red. AND they were growing near a patch of these wildflower weeds that have red stems to them. so I wonder if it's even poss #ble that maybe some of the red like.. got mixed in with the clovers somehow? a lot of the patches with a few red ones look spotty and unhea #thy so it could have been the sun or something. I dont know how plants work. I just thought it was really cool to find these one or two #special mutant clovers in huge patches of ohtwerise totally normal green clovers.. :0 #image 3: look at these weird round fat baby carrot things... Rotund #image 4: laying out some fabrics for a costume just drafting them and seeing what looks okay in the pile and what doesnt etc.#thats my whole process is just 'throw things into a pile on the floor that look okay and match then put them on eventually' lol #image 5: MORE wii scores lol.. I think this is my best score on this one though. There's 10 little markers you have to select so getting 7 #means I selected more than one per second.#image 6: I couldnt decide which type of muffins I wanted so I just made a batch of plain/vanilla batter and then added things to each littl #section to make multiple flavors without having to actually make a full batch or multiple batters lol. I think it's chocolate swirl (with d #rk chocolate chunks). banana cinnamon. strawberry. normal chocolate. rosemary and lemon. peach. ginger peach turmeric. and #'scraps of the other batters all thrown together' lol. i dont know why i was so excited and antsy to watch film gold, maybe because back in 2019 i just wanted more one piece content without actually watching the series (stuck on dressrosa)

anyway, why was film gold a 2 hour long movie of the mugiwara doing a las vegas spy run. not what i was expecting but i never really liked one piece anime original content so yeah

i dont actually know how popular nami is as a character, she always seems to get a good amount of spotlight in these, if not just for the fanservice. giving her an ex-girlfriend was not a thing i thought would happen but here we are

we didn’t even get an action scene for every single crew member in the final fight. i mean i guess some of them got a fight scene in the beginning against the rando pirates but that was not enough. i thought one piece liked their shounen battle scenes

ngl i kinda would have liked to see tesoro’s backstory extended. i mean he wasnt that interesting of a villain but i guess i just would have liked to see the despair he falls into before turning into the exact thing that put him through it

i found it very interesting that they had zoro in the damsel position, very funny because they probably could not have fit him in all the spy stuff lol. but also zoro’s fit was Such A Look, hot damn

uh i think i gave the movie a 6/10. there were worse one piece movies but the fact that this one is newer and 2 hours long and only less than mildly entertaining still couldnt push up to a 7. if the animation was “good” i couldnt tell cuz i was watching it in low quality on an illegal site 😂

i think the good place finale is maybe one of the most devastatingly peaceful pieces of tv ever made tbh.....

#rambles #like..... i just watched it for the first time ever + cried through the full 55 mins lol #i watched the first 3 seasons as they came out #+ then just never watched the 4th . i think because i had stuff going on #+ also it's very on brand for me to simply not watch the last season/episodes of a show i love looool #but anyway i rewatched s1-3 w my sister + then watched s4 for the first time #i do genuinely think it's one of the best tv series ever made #optimistic + healing but also all about making people confront themselves #and really the chemistry between the 6 of them is everything #everyone in the last episode!!!#but especially d'arcy bc her as janet watching everyone go + being the last person they saw #like i really was crying lol. it hit hard!

#truly the best therapist ive had in my life #and ive had many #like at least 6?#there was the horrible portuguese man who told me i was depressed because i didn't have a boyfriend #then there was the lady who never pushed me to face literally any of my issues and just let me infodump to her about doctor who #then there was the woman who told me she thought i was ungrateful and hated when kids acted like i did when i opened up to her about #not liking to hang out with my mom #then there was the therapist whose dog barked throughout every single session #the one who told me allll about her issues and stood me up twice even though her office was at her literal house #the free one at college who i saw maybe twice and told me to use a planner #the therapist who told me she didn't have the space to work with me on my issues (being suicidal)#and now i have gabrielle and she's a literal gem #if you read all of this hi feel free to tell me your therapy stories #did you ever have a shitty therapist?#a really great one?#lmk #(i'm talking to a wall ik)

I started watching adventure time because without my ex roommate here I actually feel comfortable watching my tv in my own house in my own living room without feeling like a burden to someone else because she was literally always in here watching crime shows and trashy reality tv and drinking tequila until she passed out on the couch, and I really like it. It’s one of those shows I objectively knew I had access to but I could never seem to enjoy anything without pissing her off in some way so this is nice :) she would have hated it! She would have used it as an opportunity to make fun of me for still liking animated shows and not watching “things for adults” which apparently means true crime and shitty violent dramas to her. Yet it reminds me of courage the cowardly dog, it’s got the same creepy yet fun vibe. One more thing I get back with her gone! I’m going to rewatch hxh too, in my own living room on my own tv and not hiding in my room on my laptop with earbuds in so it doesn’t disturb her!

#and also I want to say this because it was a fucking score: one of the thrift shop things I found today was a set of nice ass dishes #9 bowls and 20 plates for $12 but they were doing a half off sale so I got it for $6. literally just because they are a little scratched #and one bowl is missing. they’re still nice!#the toaster and coffee machine I got aren’t fancy but they were cheap! a lot of my stuff isn’t gone forever #my emotional state has been improving my physical health is better than ever #I will recover from this no matter what Jayne wanted #she suicide baited me on the last night I saw her and it feels like a big fuck you to her to know that I can and will continue to get #better without her. despite what she thinks.#despite that she literally said she was the best thing that’s ever happened to me and how disgusting and worthless I am and how no one who #knows me could ever love me. stay classy Jayne :) my family and friends and girlfriend will always love me #my cat loves me so much she’s refused to leave my side for the last month and greets me enthusiastically when I get home from work #she’s napping next to me on the couch right now and you didn’t succeed in taking her away from me.
