Last year, I had the idea to make a Santa Sleigh I could fly beneath my drone. This ended up not happening as my computer was away for repairs. This year, I don't have that problem.
Here's the cad model, drawn up based on some clip art I found.
Everything needs to be outlines to minimise air resistance, and keep it as light as possible.
As you can see, this Santa is being made with an Australian twist.
Here's the Santa in print:
And the first "Boomer" (Kangaroo)
Several hours of printing later, and it was time to stick it together. Wanting strength, I used skewers, even though they were a little thicker than I originally planed for.
I'm balancing the roos on the back, to make sure
It must be wide enough to not confuse the drone's downward sensor.
The morning of Christmas Eve, I awoke to this weather forecast.
I proceeded with final assembly anyway. There were gaps in the clouds, it was only bucketing down some of the time.
The strings need to be equidistant from the balance point, and all the same length.
Launch has to be done very carefully. Going to have to fly very smoothly to prevent twisting.
It flies!
I took it down to the park.
Here is the view from the air:
Maybe if the weather holds, there'll be people in the park to see it.

Here, Santa Claus is on his way with his bag full of goodies. Are you wondering what he has been holding in his bag for you?
Well, whatever gift it could be, it's definitely going to bring good health, prosperity, and happiness this Christmas for you and your loved ones. With all of its enthusiasm and eagerness about the Christmas season, Teamย Cre8iveSkillย wishes you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We wish you a meaningful holiday season ahead!
Looking back, it's not really the gifts that families remember most, but the Christmas traditions they do year after year that make the biggest impressions and it's important to remember Christmas isn't about what social media shows us or over expensive gifts. It's the little traditions and moments.
For us we always write letters to Father Christmas, binge Christmas movies, drink loaded hot chocolate, decorate gingerbread houses, have Advent calendars and of course see Santa! ๐
Twenty festive traditions you can do:
1. Take Family Photos (or try to, getting kids all to look in one direction is a challenge!)
2. Select a Tree.
3. Make the Tree Special.
4. Create a Countdown Routine - like store bought Advent Calendars or make your own with books, sweets or use a candle to burn for each day
5. Send Christmas Cards or Letters.
6. Spread a Little Magic With Elf. on the Shelf (never actually done Elf on the Shelf - yay or nay?
7. Movie Marathon.
8. Go to a Pantomime.
9. Start a Holiday-Themed Collection.
10. Go Caroling/listen to festive music!
11. Honor a Loved One.
12. Teach Your Kids About Giving Back - with gifts in shoeboxes to donate.
13. Decorate a Gingerbread House! And bake all the goodies ๐ช

Keep an eye on the sky for the arrival of the Reindeer Days team!
I'm so happy you could join me in welcoming my friends from the north pole! We spend all four seasons getting ready for our Christmas Eve journey, which is my favorite flight of the year.
I love the night trips the best, because the stars don't sunburn my nose. But I still join any time there's long distance travel, because everyone has a gift they bring to help the whole team come together.
Some are fast, some are strong, some are smart, some caring, and some (like me) just really love geography! I plan our routes and navigate to make sure we reach every house on our list before the night is up. I hope you'll leave some carrots out for us on the roof!
See you tonight, and Merry Christmas!
