y’all need to listen to sammy rae and the friends immediately they are so good and sammy is literally so fucking cool, I want to be her so badly, their sound is chill and relaxed and jazzy and loud and so much fun, I never skip a song because it’s such ear candy. like I swear to god if you want a doorway into a jazzier sound PLEASE listen to them because they are so good
I need to dissect some songs like a poem and hold the singer by their collars like "What did you mean?? What did you exactly mean by this by this line?? Who hurt you????"

[Video Description: a partial The Case Study of Vanitas AMV set to the song Follow Me Like The Moon by Sammy Rae and the Friends. It mostly features Vanitas, Jeanne, and Noé Archiviste. End Description].
I intended to put this in a reblog of my last post, but I forgot you can't actually do that, so here's the first minute of my current AMV wip. Bit of a sillygoofy one this time :)
Tell me this song isn’t made for Six of Crows. 🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛ The flirtiness 🤌 the gray morals 👌 the BUCKLE UP DUDE SOMEBODY CALLED THE COPS section I can’t
early morning human physiology lecture: the prof is such a sweetheart even if she's not a super great lecturer/presenter, small class so much better vibes than intro bio
afternoon research capstone: i love the prof, so happy she's my advisor, seems interesting but unsure about the vibes of the people in the class
quite annoyed at being both in a stem field and in public health for my majors but no one in my classes is masking - practice what you preach babes
the magnus protocol released (screaming about it over on @lover-praxis) so that made for an extra exciting fdoc
finished reading the first textbook chapter for human physiology :)
friendly reminder that masking in your classes is an act of love <3
Saw Sammy Rae & The Friends last night and HOOOOOLY SHIT THAT ENERGY WAS ABSOLUTELY UNREAL. I'VE NEVER BEEN TO A CONCERT LIKE THAT. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!
I'd made a ton of friendship bracelets to give to people in line and I ran out almost immediately, but I met so many friendly people!!
My ultimate dream was to get to give someone in the band this special camp-themed bracelet I made (since this is The Camp Tour). But when Sammy spotted me just like. Weeping. as they sang Living Room Floor, I think they thought "ohhh this girl needs a bracelet" LOL. So she GAVE!!! ME!!! A!!! BRACELET!!! LITTLE OL' ME!!!!!!! AND I GOT TO GIVE HER MY BRACELET IN RETURN!!!! LITERALLY LOSING MY MIIIIINDDDDD!!!!!!!! OVER THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!
LOOK AT IT IT'S PERFECT AND AMAZING
I wanna apologize to every band I've ever seen before because NONE of them have matched the energy, the chemistry, the love in that room last night. I love this band so much :')
Sammy Rae & the Friends' song Follow Me Like the Moon followed me around and around. I really enjoyed its company, so I decided to try my hand at some handlettering ^^
guys Sammy Rae was SO amazing. The absolute best night of my life. After listening to and leaning on her music for the better part of a year, seeing her and the rest of the friends in person was such a dream come true, and I’m going to be thinking about it for so long (or at least until I watch the new episodes of ofmd…)
Also! Check under the cut for the finished jacket I embroidered and put patches on for the show! I’m hoping to keep adding to it so it’s even more fun at the next concert of theirs that I get to go to <3

I’ve never known how to identify my music taste so I made a little breakdown of my favorite artists/bands by genre and recorded the through-lines of labels between them. There were 16 in all but I only included 15 for formatting purposes, so there’s one secret one not listed. It’s niche and personal anyway. I did factor it into my genre breakdown however.
The breakdown lists all words/phrases that appeared more than once. Some I realize are oversimplified but they’re listed this way to avoid redundancy. (ie. indie, rock, and pop listed separately rather than indie-rock, rock, indie-pop, etc.)
