Heath goes to therapy, the show does a really good job of showing how not to handle emotions, I'm starting to ship Cleo and Frankie, and as someone who got left out of a lot of things in high school, I feel episode 10 a lot.

i have gone on and on about how much i hate the fact that samcedes broke up in 5x20, but i think the reason it’s frustrating has more to do w the fact that what happens to sam gets completely brushed over to rush this breakup in. like, i’m thinking back to s2, where he felt like he had to resort to dangerous methods to achieve his ideal body, s3, where he started to sell his body to provide for his family, and s4, where he reveals that he only values himself for his appearance and this.....is yet another instance of his appearance being valued over the things he’s saying and feeling. the scene with the photographer is so uncomfortable to watch because we’re seeing him say that this job is really important, that he’s scared if he doesn’t do what she wants that he’ll lose it. and in the end, he’s assaulted. the fact that the samcedes scene to follow is more about breaking them up than what happened to him is just.....wild, to me. i am so glad that mercedes affirms that he didn’t cheat, but what happened was about more than that. especially when you couple all this with sam deciding to leave new york after he gets the photo on the side of the bus. what he says about the city being too loud and his brain working better in lima works so well with a story about sam unpacking his issues with his body and learning that he’s valuable for so much more than that, a story of him choosing to stop modelling for his mental health and letting go of ideals that caused him so much pain. quite a bit was done in the early seasons to establish his deep-rooted body image issues and struggles with his self-esteem, and i’m so sad that they writers decided to force it to become a breakup storyline instead of wrapping it up properly. 

what if the reason why sam likes to eat salads and healthy stuff is because when growing up they'd always ate burgers and fast food, so when he started hunting again, he couldn't help but think that he was stuck. here he was, hunting again. it felt too much like his childhood, he couldn't escape the hunting, the motels, the always moving. but, he could change the food. he could eat the opposite of the food he grew up eating, salads. he ignored his love for sweet stuff just to feel like he could escape something from the hunting lifestyle he grew up in. just to feel like he could control something in his life.
