Some tame angst to conclude the evening 💔 Trend Explanation Below.

This trend has been invading my TikTok all week so I had to draw it with Ryuuto and Yui 💚💜 I’ve seen many different versions of this from people telling others off (rightfully so) for judging someone based on how they live, look, or act, to versions implying how of all the words you could describe someone as being… “mean” is one of the most basic, yet most vulnerable. You’re admitting someone has hurt you; you’re like a little kid again, crying because some boy has hurt your feelings. Since Yui never really outwardly accuses Ryuuto of any cruelty either, I figured when she does, she would certainly use more intimate, vulnerable words like “mean”. It’s simplistic, but it holds a lot of meaning.

[ Despite Ryuuto being clearly in the wrong for this, he nonetheless lets those teasing remarks slip, as a small letter falls to the ground between them, seemingly out of thin air. ]

"Oh, and... I believe that must be yours."

[ No, it - clearly - wasn't Reiji's. After all, it was addressed to him. And yet, without so much as another word, Ryuuto leaves the man to pick it up as if it was, carrying on down the hallway and out of sight. ]

Reiji: Good grief, do watch where you are going...

Reiji: ( ...Just a minute. "Birthday boy"? He, of all people, remembered? )

Reiji, once Ryuuto is gone, picks the letter up: ...It is now, it seems. Tut... Whatever is going through his head?

(( I wanna write a whole ass paragraph of Ryuuto's (@fruit-of-infidelity) route and how much I love while I'm on my Christmas break (I've been so busy working on gifts and fucking around wit friends I haven't gotten the chance to active on here-) SO DON'T READ BELOW IF U DON'T WANNA SEE A WHOLE ASS TANGENT ))

First off, THE WAY ITS WRITTEN??? In love. The whole writing style made me sit there and actually read through the whole thing without stopping, it felt like I was actually reading the canon diabolik lovers, I sat in my chair at my desk foaming glitter at the mouth, I was sitting there taking notes.

THE ART. THE ART THE ARRTTT, there was only one CG in this route but man I was living for it.

The whole thing was interesting, it defo gave me some inspo to start working on Sumire's route again (as if I wasn't already but now I actually have inspiration and I'm not forcing myself-) I JUST WAS SO IN LOVEEEE ))

❧ they’re so. neat. and interesting. and there’s so much potential for lore, angst, HURT/COMFORT DARE I SAY?

❧ i like the idea of these two sneaking around. acting as if their relationship is something forbidden 🤨 i mean realistically it probably is given their positions— BUT WHO’S GONNA STOP THEM? 🤨

❧ i adore the idea of ryuuto going to gwen whenever he needs to rest or recharge. he doesn’t even say anything, they’ll probably be able to tell by the look on his face that they shouldn’t toy with him. so they let him be. even if that does mean being his pillow for the night.

❧ there’s an added layer of mystery to ryuuto that drew gwen in, especially at the beginning ☝️ they never expected richter to talk about him so freely of course, but him wanting to say as little as possible about him 🤨 hm. SO IN GWEN’S HEAD THEY DEFINITELY HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS.

❧ on the flip side i have no idea whether ryuuto cares enough about gwen to investigate them, but OOF. IF HE MANAGES TO? oh dear oh dear.

❧ i will die on the hill that gwen snoops in on ryuuto’s own painting process to make up for their own fears of picking up a paintbrush again.

❧ “hey have you notice the texture changes from one side of the canvas to the other.”

“… You staring that hard is a bit unsettling.”

❧ i feel like these two spend a lot of time in silence. probably starting conversation at the beginning, but then just. drifting off into a contempt silence.

❧ gwen for sure shows up at his window when they can’t sleep and don’t feel like being by themselves. if they’re gonna be up he’s gonna be up with them 🙄. i’m joking they’ll let him sleep— but while THEY might not be getting proper rest, at least they’re not by themselves 😌

❧ as a result i feel like ryuuto would scold them a lot. 💀 “You come into my space and don’t even sleep with me. 🤨 Rude.”

❧ i keep trying to think of things that aren’t sad but MAN THATS HARD SO ANYWAYS. God I can’t even imagine how much these two are haunted by their pasts. They’re dynamic would be so ROCKY by so INTERESTING.

❧ god scenarios of gwen lashing out at him by accident because they’re so PARANOID of literally everything around them 😞. its like a push and pull with how far in ryuuto is actually able to go when it comes to their life. AND THE SAME CAN PROBABLY BE SAID FOR HIM. BREAKING DOWN HIS WALLS MAY BE DIFFICULT 🤨

❧ anyways these two are perfect angst material i adore them. but i think some comfortable little scenarios are definitely fun to think about 😌 theyre just so TENSE. AND INTERESTING. AND FUN. i love them 😞☝️
