1 Meal of Chicken Ramen in Saga-Me-No City for 243 yen, or $1.61 [Rates at 1 dollar ≒ 151 yen, March 20th 2024]
There's an 8% SALES TAX to everything you shop in Japan, unless you're there traveling, where you might get something tax-free, in that case, only sometimes.
You get a 5-bags-in-1-package Chicken Ramen for 429 yen[, which is about: 2 dollars and 84 cents], or even a cheaper ¥397[≒$2.62].
Take 1 bag out--that Chicken Ramen, and it's about ¥86, which is about $0.57.
You whip out 1 plastic bag of MOYASHI Bean-Sprouts, which is a shocking ¥20[≒$0.13] thing.
You whip out 1 pack of Yokohama May-butts Chilled Shoe-my, which is ¥95[≒$0.63].
You pluck the back-pin off a custard pudding, which is 1 out of 3, the 1 costing ¥42[≒$0.28], the 3 costing 3 times that--duh.
You go back to its cost without sales tax, add those up, and it's a total cost with 8% sales tax--of ¥243[≒$1.61].
Put in the Chicken Ramen dry noodles in a bowl. Do NOT add hot water, yet.
Open the plastic bag of MOYASHI Bean-Sprouts, and heat that in the MICROWAVE for 500W--4-mins. It's a little bit longer than normal, because we're going to microwave the Shoe-my, next, and the Bean-Sprouts are going to wait for a while.
When microwaving the Bean-Sprouts is done, be careful you don't burn yourself, the thing's hot, shake it out on top of the Chicken Ramen dry noodles. Do NOT add hot water, yet.
Take the plastic case out of the Yokohama May-butts Chilled Shoe-My, stab the open spaces with a fork, and put into MICROWAVE for 500W--1 min 10 secs.
When microwaving the Shoe-My is done, be careful you don't burn yourself, the thing's hot, use a fork to open the top of the plastic case, and just put that DOWN, meaning UPSIDE-DOWN, over the dry noodles and MOYASHI Bean-Sprouts.
Add around 400cc of hot water, and just start eating from the Shoe-My & Bean-Sprouts.
Today's YT video is on the topic of Sagamihara stabbings (a disability hate crime). It will be available later today on my YT channel and my patrons were able to see it on October 5th if they wanted to.
