Attempted Sneak Out

Female ancient vampire reader x Ryan Clarke

Summary: Ryan attempts to sneak out and leave but you find him first and get the truth out of him and why he wanted to go. Which ends in comfort and cuddles.

Warnings: mentions of murder, swearing, think that's all

a/n: there's so little Ryan Clarke fics, so I decided to write one

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You follow Ryan, as he is currently trying to sneak out of the school. You vamp in front of him when he gets to the door, “And where do you think you’re going?” You asked, sounding as if you were talking to your kid.

Well, you did have to give this same speech last week to MG and Kaleb, so you’ve had good practice, supposedly. Also, from being the closest thing Hope has to a mother (And that can be a handful itself at times).

“Oh y/n, I-I was just, you know going to star gaze-“ you cut him off before he can finish his horrible excuse of a lie, “I’m going to stop you right there before you hurt your case more.” You say, amused by his attempt at getting out of the glare you’re giving his way. You swear he’s been picking up on the excuses all of the kids use to get out of things. They seriously need to brainstorm excuses better, so it at least sounds believable.

“Come on, let’s go back to my room and have a talk.” You lead him up a couple cases of stairs before turning to the right and opening the door to your room. You lead him inside and shut the door, locking it, making sure not to be loud and wake up any of the students, especially the younger ones.

You nod over to your bed, telling him to sit as you rummage through one of your desk drawers. Pulling out a sage stick, casted to make sure no one can hear you guys talk. You start burning it and place it on the top of your dresser, beside a cd player. (Yes, you still use one, you took a lot of Damon’s old cd’s from the 90’s before they rebuilt the boarding house into a school).

Turning back around to face Ryan, you crossed your arms. “Funny thing. When I was checking in on Hope and the twins, making sure they were actually asleep, I heard you coming out of this room and trying to leave before anyone woke up. And where did you think I was, if not in here? I mean come on, at least try and be a little more sneaky next time you ultimately try and fail to sneak out” you lectured him, getting his eyes to widen a bit.

(The reason you were checking in on the three girls is because they’re all having a sleepover – for once all getting along. You also managed to get Hope to turn her humanity back on by showing her memories of when she was little and of her parents. Mostly her dad because you’ve known him for longer than anyone may think)

“I don’t know, I just thought you were in the library or getting some blood or something” he mumbled out.

“Why did you try to sneak out in the first place? It’s not like we were torturing you.” You question him.

He looks down at your heeled boots, trying to get out from answering the question. If he tells you why, then he’ll look like a-a freak or even worse, too weak to help everyone. But he guesses that ship has already sailed, considering he got caught while trying to leave them.

You see a look in his eyes and walk closer, placing a finger under his chin and gently tilting his head up so he faces you. “What’s wrong?” Gently speaking and softening your face with concern, you ask him.

He thinks about, what is wrong? But decides to shake his head instead, because if you knew what he wants then you will most definitely be disgusted and never talk to him ever again.

He doubts your ways of noticing, and you can see right through him. “You can tell me, no need to be embarrassed” you gently speak to him. “I don’t know, I-I feel, I don’t know. Your gonna think I’m a freak” he murmurs out, going though his feelings in his head and finally slipping up to you.

“I don’t think I will, trust me, I’ve been in much worse situations to think someone or something is freaky” you sit down beside him, crossing your legs. “I mean seriously, have you forgotten about ‘the all mighty Necromancer, the cursed king of the underworld’. Now that dude, he was definitely freaky” You say, making him lightly smile.

Not knowing how to say what he wants to, instead he leans over and hugs you tightly. You pause for a second, not expecting him to do this. Shortly after, you bring your arms up and tightly wrap them around his body in return. Thinking for a second, you realize this makes so much sense. The way he’s been looking at you and how he acts whenever he’s around you, it all pieces together.

“Uh- s-sorry” Ryan stutters out, pulling away from the embrace. His eyes darted to across the room, focusing on a picture of you and Kol at the bar in the mystic grill from when he got un-daggered in 2011, pinned on a cork board.

“Hey, it’s okay, Hun” you start to reassure him. You bring up a hand and place it on his shoulder comfortingly.

“I haven’t ever felt like this before” he mumbles.

“It feels weird, doesn’t it? Like you don’t want anyone to know that you can be vulnerable” you speak softly, soothing him. He nods, “Yeah, exactly like that.”

You slowly pull away from him and sit, leaning against the headboard of your bed. You lightly smile and nod, showing him to come over to you. Carefully moving over towards you, he sits down, nervousness taking over.

“No need to feel nervous, Sweetie.” You wrap your arm around him and press a light kiss on top of his head.

In return, feeling the comfort and love radiating off of you (more than he has already), he lays his head on you, nuzzling his head against your collarbone. He can smell the lingering soft scent of your coconut and hibiscus perfume still on from earlier today.

Bringing your other arm up, you also wrap it around Ryan, pulling him closer. Letting him know it’s safe and you’re here for him, even if he hasn’t seemed to realize It before.

Now that half his body is basically on top of you, you start to play with the soft curls of his hair. “I never knew someone like you can be so nice” he tells you quietly.

“A vampire?” he nods. “Well, I’ve had a bunch of practice dealing with Mystic Falls drama. Literally from the start, when vampires were first created. I’ve also had to deal with Hope’s dad and his mask of not needing anyone there for him. And I still have her uncle, Kol that still does stupid shit (he’s the one in that photo you were looking at), but he’s, my family. Just like Hope is. I could never change that” you explain to him.

“So, I’m always going to be here for you. Plus, if an asshole deserves it, I of course send them to death like that” you snap your fingers, making him chuckle. “And maybe sometimes I’ll indulge in some of the killing activities with Kol, but shh” you say, holding a finger up to your lips.

He smiles up at up at you, “I could get used to this, even with that headmaster” he says, referring to Alaric’s aggravating attempts to fix problems his way (which lets be real, never works out).

“Good, just know if you need someone to talk to or even just lay and cuddle with, I’m always here, okay Sweetie?” You reassure him.

“Okay” He says and nuzzles back into the warmth beaming off of you. Happy to be with someone who actually cares for a change.

If I wrote Legacies...

As we all know, Legacies was cancelled, I really loved the series, but mostly for characters not for the plot... So since it's gonna end soon, I'd like to write here some ideas, how could the show make more sense and be more like tvd and to...

Let me start from season 1

1) I wouldn't even begin with the whole Malivore thing, because it was too out of tvdu we knew and loved

2) in 1st season I would focus plot mostly on characters, Lizzie and Josie finding out about the Merge, Hope coping with lost of her parents and distance from family

3) Explanation of why Caroline isn't living with her daughters could be better handled - for example opening new school for young and gifted, even death would make more sense then Caroline not coming to see her daughter after she became heretic

4) main storyline of 1st season could be focused on Raphael as the new kid, he might have something with Josie as it was indicated in first episodes... But Josie would eventually end up with Penelope (who would leave later to Belgium)

5) Landon and Hope could end up together later in first season

6) Clarke would make his debut as villain in season finale

Season 2

1) the main storyline could be Triad - but not with Malivore thing, but as some "agency" against supernatural people

2) Landon's long lost father, who would be (most importantly) human would be the boss

3) he would find out about Landon dating Hope and living in school for supernatural and he would went after school

4) Clarke would be sent to eliminate Hope, but he would have been caught and locked up

5) he would spent time with Hope and realise she's not a monster like his father taught him... by the end of the season they would became friends... Landon would get jealous over it, not understanding it and that would end with break up

6) plot twist, Landon would die in season finale, leaving Hope heartbroken again blaming herself

7) meanwhile Lizzie would meet Sebastian

8) Kai Parker storyline would came back, but it would be bigger part of the season, but with bigger twists - he wouldn't die, but Josie would join him becoming dark Josie with Kai's help, in the end of the season normal Josie would come back, betray Kai and leave him in Prison world

9) Lizzie's bipolarity would be showed more, her storyline would be focused on healing and starting to open up other people except her sister

10) Hope's wolf side would appear more, alongside with friendship with Jed

11) Lizzie and Hope would have similar storyline like in original series

Season 3

1) After Landon's death, Hope would change (A LOT)

2) she would push her friends away

3) Aurora would shown up in my version too, but better

4) I mean like she wouldn't go on smoothies with Lizzie, but she would mean actual thread to Hope and school

5) she would manipulate Lizzie, with her own mental illnes and Lizzie would help her bring back Tristan and maybe Lucien too

6) THE ORIGINAL FAMILY would come back to handle them, but plot twist Hope would die and become full tribrid in season finale

7) Josie would blame herself for joining Kai, and her dark side would slowly reapear so Penelope would came back for few eps persuade her to leave with her, which she would in the end... And yet again it would solve problem with Caroline (Josie and Penelope would attend her new school)

8) Alaric and Raphael would be killed by Aurora because why not

Season 4

1) After Alaric and Raphael's dead Hope and Lizzie would lost it

2) Hope would turn her humanity off, and Lizzie's mental health would get worse

3) Clarke, now new headmaster of school would try to get to Hope, but unsucessfuly

4) Hope would be the season' main villain in first half causing troubles with Lizzie, and being a thread for students (she would be much stronger than Legacies showed her to be)

5) BenJed would happen, but Ben's storyline would be more normal - he could be one of Klaus' old enemy, who would wanted to destroy Hope, but would fell in love etc

6) Mikaelsons would bring Hope's humanity back

7) Hope would move after everything back to New Orleans, what local witches wouldn't like because of the prophecy from before her birth

8) Hope would become leader of french quarter witches and alfa of the crescend wolf, she would unite supernatural species in New Orleans with the help of her whole family

9) Kolvina would adopt kid which is totally out of plot, but I would love that to happen, also Hope would know a lot more about family history, she would definitelly know about Aurora being from Rebekah sireline

10) Lizzie would move to Caroline's school too

11) Clarke and Hope would end up together by the end of season 4

Season 5 - the last season

1) TIME JUMP to Merge actually happening

2) they would try find a way to stop it, but it would end up with Lizzie villingly dying and becoming heretic - this would be the main and last storyline, and she would be sired to Hope, leaving both Hope and Clarke scared because Lizzie would go dark

3) Hope and Clarke would come back to Mystic Falls in between the time jump to make school and Hope's purposes in New Orleans work... Hope would get pregnant in season 5

4) Hope's storyline would be focused on revolt in New Orleans' society in which Clarke would (not on purpose) become vampire later

5) the biggest thread would appear in the 5B season and Mikaelsons, students of Salvatore school and possibly some of tvd gang would join forces and fight together

6) Hope would at some point fell unconsious, she would one last time see her parents, Elijah, Cami,... in peace, finding peace in herself and coming back to save everyone (as she should)

7) Lizzie would end up with Mg, becoming more herself again with the help of Hope, Mg, Josie and Caroline, she would have better relationship with Penelope

8) some important character for all of then would die

7) the last scene would be Hope with her baby and family finding happiness a writing letter to Klaus and Hayley how she would meet them again, but not so soon and that she thinks about them all the time, but not with heartbreak anymore, but with love and good memories, she would mention Landon as her first love and that she would never forget him either, and she now has everything she'd ever wanted - family - always and forever - even when she wish they'd be with her too

So this is it... ❤️

PS: Hope would have better wardrobe (in season 2 - I think - she would burn that skirt and sweater)

And yeah, my english sucks😅
