Is it weird that one of the things I found saddest about the epilogue was the amount of finished and near-finished assets in the credits sequence?

They were so ready to do more.

I think my favorite thing about the V9 epilogue is seeing the way everyone who made it to Vacuo has been changed by the hardships they experienced.

Nora is expressing negative emotions for seemingly the first time in her life. By contrast, the normally-reserved Ren seems more expressive than we've ever seen him. Qrow, the eternal pessimist, is learning to see the bright side of things. Winter, whose fatal flaw has always been the absolute conviction that her course is right, is grappling with feelings of self-doubt and guilt. Willow is out and about helping people instead of hiding away, and Whitely seems determined not to hide from the consequences of his father's misdeeds.

Much of RWBY's character growth has been focused on the main cast of characters. Weiss has learned to forge her own identity, Blake has come out of her shell, Yang is more level-headed and comfortable letting herself sit with sadness and grief, and Ruby just underwent a major arc confronting her own repressed trauma. They've all grown beyond the simple archetypes we were first introduced to into deeper and more complex characters over the course of the series. It's nice to see that the supporting cast are undergoing similar opportunities for development.

I can't really put into words how I'm feeling after watching the V9 epilogue. I'm so happy we got to see it and I really hope we get to see the "proper" version as part of V10. And if this really does end up being the end, at least I can be happy that I got to experience this show. It quite literally changed my life.

Okay so since I was talking about this earlier, I found confirmation on twitter who wrote on the grave and why it was written from Arryn who is one of the animators who previously worked on the show

In summary, the "Don't come back" is basically Winter not wanting team RWBYJ to see the state they are in because of how bad everything turned out from their sacrifice and feels like they would be disappointed if they saw and that they failed them

I held it together even tho everyone almost got me but Qrow knocked me over the edge. No show has ever made me cry with such genuine emotion or feel hope or happiness the way RWBY has. The way it Does. There is no other show like it in the world and I say that not as a cocky fan but as a person who struggles so much to feel things. RWBY lets me feel things without fear or shame or even an attempt to hide. It’s so special. It’s the most special thing I’ve ever had the honor of witnessing. Which means I have faith it will be given a proper concluding arc. It doesn’t matter to me how long it takes. The people of Vacuo waited for their return. It was hard but they found the good in that passing time. Not knowing the future. We can wait too. And we’ll hold each other up until we see them again.

This was PERFECT ❤️❤️ Don't get me wrong I'm also super happy with the ending we got last year, but you can feel the one from the epilogue was really the original and intended one. AND THERE ARE VACUO CONCEPTS OMG

I was not expecting concepts for Vacuo already but oh my gosh I'm so excited for this, the art for Ruby is so pretty too ♥ All povs from various characters are so interesting

Also Salem attacked Vale ?! I was NOT expecting that either

RWBY has to be completed and I really want the team to be able to conclude the story the way they want it to end.
