Stuff
I've had what I think is a pinched nerve in my right upper arm for about 3 weeks which has been very annoying - I've had to change the position I usually sleep in as a result - but I think it's close to being healed. I did have the option of having an ultrasound to see what it actually is/was but I couldn't be bothered.
Dang it, the two FEH units in the Voting Gauntlet with a Dual Ploy got eliminated in the first round and therefore won't be on the AHR banner. The notable skills remaining aren't as good for me:
Leg!Fem!Alear: - Null C-Disrupt 4: I like it but the opportunity cost sucks. I might actually try it on Veyle but the DR piercing on Atk/Res Tempo 4 would be missed. - Atk/Spd Pledge: Good, but it would only work on Soleil and she already gets Special cooldown from her Arcane Devourer.
Att!Peony: - Rockslide Dance 3: I don't use Dancers but if I do add one to my main team it'd be neat. - Atk Oath Echo: Neat, but only Rosado could use it without giving up an Arcane Weapon or PRF skill, and he already has Soaring Echo and a visible Attack boost from Veyle.
WT!Claude: - Lethality: Neat. - Atk/Spd Prime 4: Doesn't fit my playstyle due to the opportunity cost of not using a Finish skill. My main team is able to trigger the Close/Distant Counter though (Veyle gives 2 effects, Astrid's Rally target gets another 2).
Winter!Dimitri: - No Quarter: My favourite skill among these 4 units. I've considered giving this to Soleil in the past and now's as good a time as any. - Atk/Spd Prime 4: See WT!Claude. - Panic Smoke 4: Also pretty neat. I'd try this out on Soleil as well, since I've been looking for an Atk/Spd Menace replacement on her. Veyle gives her Atk/Spd+6 anyway (she has Spd Tactic) so at the moment it's pretty much just a "Inflict Atk/Spd-6 on 1 or 2 foes" skill. (This is why I wanted a Dual Ploy since I've worked out my Soleil is a surprisingly not-bad user of it).

@animemes420 replied: “ I'm not "insulting the game". I wasn't addressing the game at all. I am talking about the change in the devs' attitude. Grinding for orbs is NOT the same as getting freebies. Even with the log-in bonuses, they give out like 13. That's just 2 summon orbs, and is basically nothing. Also the retweet campaign? Just 5 orbs? Really? Pathetic”
Oookay, hold your horses right there. You are insulting the game because you are spreading false information and also spreading that lovely “INTSYS is so mean to us, we are so robbed and unhappy” attitude. I see many people have adopted this point of view and are ready to feel wronged by everything INTSYS does and pat each other’s back.
You get 13 orbs via login bonus and 4 orbs for each round of Voting Gauntlet. 13 + 12 is less than 20 since when...? You get 25 orbs for doing the same you did in day one but I see the elementary math is really hard when someone WANTS to feel mistreated and accuse FEH and INTSYS of being greedy...
And let me get this straight, you think Gachas are about freebies...? You think  that a gacha that doesn’t give you freebies but rather gives you plenty of opportunity to get resources by yourself (and quite easily) is a big bad mean game and the developers have bad attitude...?
Let's think about it a bit. INTSYS gave us freebies in the first months because there was hardly any way to get orbs ingame but the ultimate goal of a good gacha is to give you ways to earn orbs ingame so you have to spend your time there and get properly rewarded. They did not make a game so you would just log in and get goodies for nothing and leave. It’s a GAME. They want you to PLAY. If you expect freebies, you should recalculate. Games that need freebies to maintain their playerbase are doing something wrong. Or, more precisely, they are camouflaging way more unfriendly rates by giving out free stuff. Players feel treated nicely so they overlook the fact that in the end they get less in total because even with the freebies they don’t summon as much.
GBF gives out free stuff because their rate is so bad that with ingame resources only, people would have to save crystals for one year to get enough tenfolds to stand a chance to summon what they want. And also, GBF can give out 10 tenfolds and the chance you summon a focused unit is still riddiculous XD But apparently, if people get free stuff, they don’t look further and they are unwilling to do the math. I’ve spent over 5 hours in GBF just doing story mode and basic free quests and I still didn’t get those 3k crystals needed to do ONE tenfold. If I had this much story left to do in FEH, I would be at 100 orbs in that time... People really don’t understand how time and math work.
If someone wants to feel treated badly, they will feel treated badly, I suppose.

Grima VG win #2 fic (alt. title: Rrrrakatatititata Yeah, he's won twice bitch!)
GRIMA WON AGAIN! I had to churn this story out cause I love him so much and the creative juices finally came again. Also, soft Grima is the best Grima. Also, the title is a reference to Bebe”s Jungle Kitty Verse from RuPaul’s Drag Race)
No one in the order ever seemed to understand who came up with the common occurrences known as voting gauntlets; Feh would randomly be carrying a letter containing several heroes names and the custom took off. While only eight heroes participated at a time, the whole Order happily partook in supporting said participants. As summoner, you always helped pitch in and cheer for everyone, trying to remain neutral. You had only failed once, Grima had won his first Voting Gauntlet against Celica, the cheer in your heart rising as you gave Grim a congratulatory hug.
The whole Order never let you forget the sight of you cheering for Grima, your usual calm self going all out for Grima. Thankfully, Grima seemed to forget it or ignore it, saving you the added embarrassment. So by the time Grima had his second Voting Gauntlet, you cooled down, making sure to help the rest of the competitors. Perhaps even a bit more than Grima if his sour scowl was enough evidence. And yet, despite the lack of your help, Grima had made it to the final round again. Going up against Idunn, who despite her relative newness in the Order, had garnered a large following, the young manaketes convincing everyone to support Idunn.
Seeing the dire situation, you relished all sense of public perception and adamantly cheered on Grima; the entire Order still shocked at the Fell Dragon receiving your support. With the time slowing coming close to its end, you had been scrambling for flags, making sure to grab every single one you could. Your effort went paid by the end, Idunn having lost. Admittedly, you felt awful, having been the reason why she lost, but by the time you got a couple sentences in, Fae along with her numerous friends had coming rushing to her, dragging her away to play with Iduun with a smile on her face despite losing. Giving her a goodbye, you made your way to Grima with a skip in your step. Said skip was gone as heroes gave a look towards you, their smiles embedding themselves into your conscious. Slowing down your quick pace, you walk the rest of the way.
Before you can reach Grima, Feh comes flying around the corner, a trophy clutched in her talons. She hoots at you before dumping it into your arms, struggling to not drop it from the quick reaction needed. With the trophy in your arms, you pick up the speed, this time ignoring the looks; Grima’s look being the one you want to see. You spot him standing all alone by a column, his back to you as he inspects his true form. His true form seeing you, Grima turns around to face you, a scowl on his face.
You pause at his stare, holding his trophy in front of your face as a shield. Stomping his way towards you, Grima takes a hold of the trophy as he glares up at you. You smile back, laughing nervously before coughing, picking at the nonexistent dirt at the sleeves of your outfit. Grima shrugs as he finishes checking the trophy before handing it back to you.
“Again?” You ask him. He lets out a jut of air through his nose before responding.
“I won because of your help. In the end, you earned this one too.” Grima crosses his arms as he stares at you,  his eyebrows furrowed.
“But you fought! You should at least keep one trophy.” You hold it back out towards him but Grima ignores it. Seeing his lack of want, you pull it to your chest. Staring at the floor.
“What held you, worm?”
“Huh?” You jolt your eyes back to Grima, a light tint of pink on his cheeks.
“Ignore it.” Now Grima chooses to not look at you, his true form much more interesting apparently.
“I’m glad you won again.” Grima grunts at your confession.
“All the worms wouldn’t shut up about it. Incessantly blathering about your cheering.:
“Oh… Was I that loud?” You lower the trophy, comfortably cradling it in your arms.
“You were obnoxiously loud.”
“Sorry, I kinda go-” Grima interrupts you before you can finish apologizing.
“But I appreciated it.” Grima coughs after saying so and then walks off, his true form taking to the sky. You stay still, unsure of how to process it before chasing after him. He ignores you, walking at a normal pace before you grab his hand, Grima freezing in response. You let go, fearful of his response.
“Do it again.” Grima commands as he face you again, his face aflush.
“What?” You pull your hand back, taking it as a threat. Grima reaches for your hand, holding it in his as he looks at you.
“You don’t anger me like those other worms.” He pauses as he thinks, his hand clenching yours. “Your presence is welcome.” Grima holds your hand as he starts walking, you going along for the ride.
“Where are we going?” You ask, the shock of Grima’s actions still being processed.
“There’s a clearing past the courtyard. You’ll like it.” Grima says, the statement leaving no room for argument. You clear your throat before responding.
“I think I will.” You smile at him, Grima catching a glance at your smile before facing forward again.
“I’m glad.”

Read on AO3 here
Series: Fire Emblem Heroes
Pairing: Alfonse x Summoner
Word Count: 1092
Summary: Alfonse may have lost in the second round, but Kiran understands. Of course, that leads to a misunderstanding...
Authors Note at the end.
Alfonse sighed, resting his head in his hands. The second round of the voting gauntlet hadn’t gone his way and he couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed. He meant no offense to Kagero, nor to any of the other participants, but Alfonse couldn’t help but feel he had lost his chance to prove he really could be cool.
“At least I made it past the first round…” he murmured aloud before letting out another sigh. He knew it was better than nothing, but he had been so close that this felt more disappointing than it should have.
“Alfonse..?” a soft voice called out, accompanied by light footfalls. As the Askrian prince turned in his seat, his eyes were greeted with the hooded head of the summoner.
“Ah, Kiran. Is there something you need?” This struck Alfonse as a little strange, shouldn’t Kiran be helping with the gauntlet like usual?
“About that…” Not bothering to finish their sentence, Kiran preferred to grab a seat next to Alfonse instead.
The pair sat quietly together for almost a minute, neither Alfonse nor Kiran saying anything.
“So, uh… About the gauntlet?”
“Ah, right…” Kiran murmured. “I’ll still be doing a bit of it, for the orbs and the feathers.”
The summoner hesitated for a second as if they weren’t sure how to say what came next. “But…”
“But?” Alfonse prompted, curious to know where this conversation might be going.
“...It’s not the same if it’s not with you.”
Alfonse froze. What was that supposed to mean? It wouldn’t be the same without him? Kiran didn’t think gauntlets would be worth it without him? His mind began to run in circles as his cheeks turned red.
“Oh, I mean,” Kiran began again, glancing at Alfonse’s face before looking away. “It’s like, I remember my first voting gauntlet too. It seemed so new and special, and I had tons of fun working together with everyone who participated. And, you know, the team I was supporting lost in the second round too, so I know exactly how you feel. I figured you could use a little bit of cheering up.”
Oh. So that had been what Kiran meant. Alfonse’s face gradually reverted to its original colour as he thought over the words Kiran had said.
“Thank you, Kiran. The fact that you’d do this for me means so much.” Yeah, that sounded about right. Calm and measured, like they were only friends. Because they were only friends.
“Yeah, I know,” Kiran replied with a nod. “I’m uh. Gonna go help with the gauntlet a bit. I’ll be back?” It sounded much more like a question instead of a statement like Kiran had meant it to be.
“Yes, of course,” Alfonse replied as Kiran stood up quickly, exiting the room at a lightning fast speed.
Kiran thanked the gods for giving them a hood, it had so many uses. Hiding their face from everyone else proved to be such a blessing, especially when the summoner was blushing uncontrollably. The first time sounded so much like a confession, didn’t it? The hood had saved them from a rather embarrassing situation, for that they were thankful. Besides, Alfonse’s face had turned red, probably in anger, right? That elaboration had definitely been necessary.
Dashing through the castle at a speed that certainly wasn’t safe, Kiran rounded a corner, only to run straight into someone.
“Oh--” Instead of falling backwards, Kiran found themselves pulled into the chest of the person in front of them,
“I’m sorry I-- Oh, Sharena?”
“Yep, that’s me!” the princess exclaimed, letting the summoner go. “Going somewhere in a hurry? You might want to slow down, though, accidents aren’t fun.”
“Ah, uh. I was just- I was-” Kiran stuttered, before sighing. “I’m sorry, Sharena. I just needed to get somewhere quickly, I’m sorry for running into you. If you’ll excuse me…”
“Yes, of course! I’ll be hopping on my way, then~!” Sharena smiled before doing a cute bunny hop. “Oh, but do come visit me later if you get the chance~! I’d love to talk about these outfits with you, Kiran.”
Kiran nodded before turning to head on their way. “Yeah, sure. I’ll come visit you and Alfonse later.” Oh, Alfonse… That brought another unseen blush to Kiran’s face as they began to walk a little faster. “I’ll be seeing you!” they called over their shoulder before all but sprinting away.
“Hm, I wonder what that’s all about…” Sharena wondered aloud. Shaking the thought out of her head, she went to meet her brother.
Opening the door to the waiting room, one that the heroes used for resting, Sharena spied her brother. Walking as quietly as she could, she snuck up behind him as he let out a huge sigh.
“Maybe if…” An expression of hopeful melancholy settled on his face. He seemed deep in thought, but Sharena remained silent.
After a minute or two of silence, she let out a loud “Boo!” to which Alfonse screamed in terror.
Jumping out of his seat, he turned to face his sister. “Gods, Sharena, how many times have I asked you not to do that?”
“I know I know, but it’s just too much fun to see your reaction~!” Sharena exclaimed while settling into the room, Alfonse returning to his chair as well. “Anyways, I saw Kiran earlier. They were running around like they were in a hurry. Would you know anything about that?”
Alfonse seemed to be at a loss for words. “I- Uh. Well, I mean… That is to say…I saw Kiran, yes. But they were completely calm when I saw them, so does that mean…” he trailed off, leaving his thought unfinished.
As Sharena stared at him, waiting for him to finish, his face gradually turned a deep shade of red.
“Alfonse? Hello, Alfonse?” she called, waving a hand in front of his face, but to no avail.
“Wait… What was that supposed to mean? Did you do something to Kiran?” she asked, shocking Alfonse out of his thoughts.
“N-no! Of course not! I’d never-”
“That doesn’t sound like you did nothing…” Sharena said, staring at her brother even harder. “What did you do then, hm?”
“N-nothing! Nothing at all!” Alfonse exclaimed, shooting out of his chair and darting towards the door.
“Hey! Don’t think you can avoid telling me by leaving!” she called after him even though he had already left.
Sharena sighed before sitting down again. “There’s definitely something going on between the two of them, and I’m going to find out what it is!”
...Sharena probably won't ever find out, if I'm going to be honest.
Anyways, there's a few things I want to say about this one. First of all, Alfonse is literally the cutest, especially in his bunny outfit~ Second of all, this was actually my first FEH piece, and the Bunny Ballot was also my first voting gauntlet, so I found this an extremely fitting thing to write. I had tons of fun with the gauntlet, although I was pretty upset when Alfonse lost... This seemed extremely relevant, so I  just had to write it~
As always, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this~

Hoy, gay followers!
Now that Shanna has officially become the most powerful character in all of Fire Emblem-dom, we find ourselves faced with a problem of gargantuan proportions...
Tumblr media
Who is (are?) her girlfriend(s?)?!?!?!
The only gals she supports with in FE6 are her sisters, so we’re gonna have to get a little creative here. I’m gonna lay out some options and y’all are gonna help me out by voting for who is prime gf material here!!
Tumblr media
So first we have Clarine, Pent and Louise’s daughter and a stuffy noble girl who is desperately in love with Dorothy and we all know it. She and Shanna could have some cute reserved girl/peppy girl dynamics.
Tumblr media
Next up is Dorothy, a very chill and strong tomboy rural archer. She’s dating Clarine She and Shanna could get along though I have a feeling Shanna would be terrified by the whole archer thing haha
Tumblr media
And now here’s Sue, a Sacaean nomad girl who’s the daughter of a powerful chief. The archer thing might be a barrier but she’s more approachable than Dorothy and I like to think they have races to see if Sue’s horse or Shanna’s pegasus is faster.
Tumblr media
Here we have Lilina, the darling of FE6 and daughter of eliwood and hector and someone who could truly blossom under the right gay conditions. Poor Lilina is dealing with a lot of dead-father angst throughout the game and if Shanna went out of her way to cheer her up I’m sure it’d be a real breath of fresh air for her.
Tumblr media
Adorable knight Gwendy’s rad haircut alone would probably make Shanna instantly fall in love with her, let’s be real. Gwendy is strong and serious and devoted and Shanna is flighty and playful so they could play off each other quite well.
Tumblr media
And here’s Fir, Sacaean swordswoman, which always seem to fit well with Illian pegasus knights. They’d be absolute cuties together, Fir finding Shanna to be great company but also trying to get her to be a bit more responsible, while Shanna finds her movements and fighting style so cool and helps her train to get stronger.
Tumblr media
There’s the energetic young dancer Lalum, whose personality would click immediately with Shanna’s--they’d quickly be great friends. Maybe Shanna could learn how to dance from her...that’d be sweet as hell.
Tumblr media
Cath here is another good choice, a thief with understandable motivations and resentments and a tragic backstory. She’d probably find Shanna insufferable at first but that only gives them more of an opportunity to grow to learn about and like each other and soon Shanna’s playfulness could wrap back around to charming.
Tumblr media
And last from FE6 but certainly not least is the little dragon gal Sophia. She is quite stoic and serious and probably wouldn’t quite know how to react to Shanna’s energy but Shanna would be determined to get her to liven up and live a little!
And hey, in the grand tradition of FEH gauntlet shipping let’s include two of her former gauntlet members.
Tumblr media
Oh, Katarina... She has Clarisse and Legion in Askr but even though she cares about them they’re still both hard to be truly close to. Without Kris, she’d probably be a bit sad and lonely. Not to mention she wouldn’t feel great about losing the gauntlet in the very first round! She sees how happy Shanna is and the praise being lavished upon her and just kinda mopes to the side. But Shanna would notice her, and tell her she did a great job too, and pull her into the celebration! Katarina would be so charmed.
Tumblr media
And our for real last candidate is one of the sweetest gals you’ll ever meet, Amelia. She’s caught up in a really tough situation in FE8 but in Askr she can breathe a little. Her sheer kindness would probably charm Shanna and get her to hang around her a lot more, and they’d hold hands and share a lot of snacks together! When Shanna beat her in the gauntlet they both immediately laughed it off and there were no hard feelings between them.
Well? Whaddy’all think? You can vote on Shanna’s very own GF gauntlet here!!!

10-20 for the FEH ask thing? :D
10: Favorite cavalry unit?
Despite being underwhelmed by his appearance on the Crimea banner, probably Oscar. Not only do I love him as a character but he’s a fun unit to use, being both speedy and strong. He’s the only unit I gave Pavise to, and there’s something about having a unit who can make use of lackluster skills that I find endearing. Eliwood’s a close second
11: Favorite flier unit?
Valter, weirdly. I hate him in his actual story but out of context he becomes more palatable and fun haha, plus he’s a total tank. his panic ploy helped me get through that ridiculous horse emblem developer challenge
      12: Favorite armored unit?
tie b/w Sheena and the Black Knight. I had the impression Sheena was a mediocre unit from tier lists and such so I was pleasantly surprised when I got her recently and put her to great use - she doesn’t need speed when she’s as bulky as she is, bonfire helps her atk.
Even tho i don’t really like the power creep that’s happening, BK is just so much fun to use
       13: Favorite infantry unit?
This one’s really tough, but… i guess either Ike, Eirika or Leon. It just so happens all three are among my favorite characters, but I actually like all of them as units too so that works out nicely for me!
14: Favorite limited unit?
I’ve only ever gotten Performing!Azura. She’s really useful but she wouldn’t be my favorite if I ever got Swimsuit Leo, Performing Inigo, or Bride Charlotte
15: Favorite dancer unit?
Performing Inigo…when will I get him is the question…
16: Favorite colorless unit?
Leon, though I like Klein a lot too. (Praying I get Innes or Jeorge one day too..every archer is my favorite tbh)
           17: Current arena defense team?
I was just tweaking it earlier today, I’m having trouble finding a good combination. rn it’s Oscar in front with Performing!Azura/Brave!Ike, Valter and Linde. I may switch back to a horse team after maintenance, idk
18: Current arena tier?
18, though I’ll be going down to 17 tonight (I’ve only ever gotten to tier 19 once ;-;)
19: Favorite voting gauntlet match?
The CYL one, b/c my boy Ike won (tho Lyn losing in the second round was a bummer)
20: Any ideas for a future gauntlet?
Archer Gauntlet, purely because I have strong archer bias and I feel not enough people are passionate about archers

(( I’m having a hard time deciding who to back in the Fire Emblem Heroes mage voting gauntlet, so I drew a bunch of daily pokemon blogs as the contenders! (For those unfamiliar with FEH, the voting gauntlet’s basically a popularity contest. Eight characters are pitted against each other in one-on-one matches, which makes a total of three rounds. You join your favorite character’s army and fight people of the other character’s army to earn points. When the round is over, the character with the most points wins and advances to the next round, while the losing character is eliminated. If your character loses, you can still participate in the gauntlet; you just have to pick another character to support.) I picked them more or less arbitrarily with little regard to gender or personality, but all of you are my senpai who I look up to. You guys are really awesome!! :-)
Featured ‘mons: Thundrus from @occasionalforcesofnature as Robin, Blush from @dailyshinycutiefly as Sanaki (I’m sorry I just really love drawing her), Acute as Linde, Klutz from @occasionallysalazzle as Tharja, Excalibur from @dailyserperior as Merric, Maybe from @maybe-eevee as Henry (another one I like to draw a little too much sorry sorry sorry), Aingeal from @togekiss-daily as Julia (because Julia’s strong against dragons and so are Fairy-types), and Morrigan from @askvulpinecurses as Leo! ))
