Sick Robin and/or Nancy Doctors Office AU?

So in the Doctor Office AU specifically, I wasn’t feeling the chemistry with Nancy and Robin, so please take this little ficlet in which I experiment with Receptionist!Robin x Nurse!Chrissy 🤍-KB

“So where’s Robin today anyways?” Chrissy elbowed Eddie in the hallway.

Eddie glanced at the chart he was holding and stopped to look up at his friend, “She’s out today. Think she finally caught whatever Steve had last week.”

“Aw that’s too bad. She’s going to miss girls night.” Chrissy mentioned with a frown.

Eddie shrugged, “If she really does have what Steve had, it’s probably best for you and Nancy not to see her anyways. It’s pretty nasty.”

Chrissy’s frown deepened as she thought about Robin, super sick and all alone at her apartment. Her heart ached for her.

“Anyways, I’m gonna wrap up this last patient. Have fun at girls night!”

Eddie looked back at the chart and then stepped into Exam Room 2. He’d never find out that Chrissy had asked Nancy to cancel girls night so that she could visit her crush.

Chrissy bit her lip as her closed fist hovered over the door. She took in a deep breath and knocked. There was some shuffling on the other side of the door before it opened and revealed a disheveled looking Robin.

She was wearing a striped long sleeve that was a bit too big for her. It looked like it may have been Steve’s in a past life. Her sweatpants cuffed her ankles around the purple socks with rainbow polka dots on them.

“Hi Robin!” Chrissy chimed.

“Chrissy? What are you doi’g at m’by apartment?” Robin seemed genuinely confused and dazed.

“I just wanted to check on you.” The blonde shifted her weight awkwardly, “I brought you some soup. Can I come in for a minute?”

“Uh.. yeah.” Robin was happy but shocked. She figured she must’ve been dreaming.

She frantically walked ahead of Chrissy trying to clean things up, “I’b sorry it’s a m’bess in here. I ehh don’t get much c-heh company… iiHKT’ew! snfsnff heHKTchew!”

The sneezes, while forceful, we’re not loud by any means. They did, however, sound desperate as they tumbled out of her.

Robin was doubled over into steepled hands. Chrissy rushed over and put a steadying hand on her shoulder.

“Bless you!”

“Not …ehhh done… H’iKTiew! Heh! HatsCHEW!”

Each release sent Robin hurdling forward into her hands.

“Whoa, easy easy…”

Chrissy knelt down, hand on Robins shoulder as she sat on the couch. The strawberry blonde eased Robin onto the couch after her and pulled her close to her chest.

The brunette snuffled helplessly as she eased into the embrace, leaning back against Chrissy’s chest. Without realizing what she was doing, the nurse reached up and ran her fingers through Robins hair, feeling her forehead as she went. It just felt so natural.

Robin closed her eyes. She knew she was warm. This had to be a fever dream. But she thought fever dreams were supposed to be things she didn’t want to happen… She suddenly bolted up.

“Oh my god Chrissy! You’re missing girls night!! Nancy’s going to be so sad!”

“I um… asked her to postpone.” Chrissy smiled sheepishly, “I wanted to be with you.”

Robin was in awe. “But Chrissy…why?”

Chrissy’s eyes darted down to Robin’s lips and then back up to meet her eyes. As the blonde leaned in, she reached a gentle hand to cup Robin’s fever warm cheek. The two locked lips for a moment, both feeling the sparks, before Robin pulled back.

“Oh…” her smile slowly faded as she thought, “but you’ll get sick.”

“It’s okay Robs,” Chrissy laughed, “I think we know some doctors and nurses who can take care of me.”
