New poll, second part. The best Duck Female in the Disney Duckverse. Who do you think is the best female duck character from the Duckverse?
Since unfortunately not everyone could fit in the previous poll who is the best female Duckverse character from the Donald Duck franchise (comics and cartoons), I will add another poll with the best female characters from the Duckverse, so the best from this poll and the previous ones will go head to head in the final. And you should decide who you think is the best female character from the Duckverse. This is the second part and this is just for fun. The best passes at the end. Although it has passed, I certainly wish all women a happy women’s day! And this month has been declared the month of women! Yes, it is celebrated on March 8! There are certainly a lot of female characters from the Duckverse, and I will leave only the most important ones from various franchises (cartoons, comics) and you have the choice to choose who you think is the best female Duck character from the Duckverse in general. Happy Women’s Day once again and this is just a poll for fun and a little play!
The previous poll about female duck characters see here: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/745243822575042560/new-poll-the-best-duck-female-in-the-disney

Daisy Duck and Rosinha Maria Vaz dance a Latin dance - Louie Duck cries along with Tanya Mousekewitz and Princess Ariel - Tribute to Chita Rivera and Erika Robledo - Quack Pack and crossover voice tribute
Usually I don't publish drawings related to the death of famous and dear people, except for All Souls' Day, but I was partly affected by this news when I found out about it on Instagram, so I dedicated two drawings to famous people who died these days.
The first drawing shows Daisy Duck and Rosinha Maria Vaz dancing a Latin American dance modeled after the famous Broadway dancer, singer and actress, Chita Rivera. Chita Rivera was born in 1931 and is really famous for many things especially when she acted on Broadway. Unfortunately, she died yesterday, that is, on January 30, 2024. Many thanks for the great performances as well as learning how to dance, and Daisy and Rosinha in my headcanon are definitely big fans of her, and I used these versions as a fusion of Quack Pack with Ze Carioca Brazilian comics in my own way. Yes, considering that Daisy is Donald's girlfriend and Rosinha Vaz is Jose's girlfriend, and Donald and Jose have been together for a while, it wouldn't be bad to see the two of them together.
The second drawing shows a tribute to Latin American Spanish actress Erika Robledo who has voiced various characters in the Latin American Spanish dub, but especially Louie Duck from the Quack Pack, Princess Ariel from The Little Mermaid (mainly the Disney TV series) and Tanya Mousekewitz (in their dub Tanya Ratonovich) from the movie An American Tail and other characters. Yes, unfortunately she died last week at the age of 48. So I drew Louie from the Quack Pack, Tanya and Princess Ariel hugging each other and crying and grieving for being abandoned by the actress who played them. And to be honest, even though I haven't watched that many Latin American Spanish dub videos, at least as much as I have watched Quack Pack in Latin American Spanish dub she wasn't bad and she was great at her job. Many thanks for the great acting. Of course, other persons and people who died recently, may their souls rest in peace.
Rest in peace, Chita Rivera and Erika Robledo! Amen.
Feel free to like and reblog this, but don't use these ideas without mentioning me, thanks. However, it is sad when some loved ones leave early. May God grant them the Kingdom of Heaven! Amen.

DISNEY STUDIO AU: José Carioca
Tumblr media
Full Name: José Carioca
Other Names: Zé Carioca, Joe Carioca
Schools: Xurupita High School (graduated), Walt Disney University of Performing Arts (graduated)
Occuaption(s): Sub-Vocalist and Dancer of the Three Caballeros, Samba pop/jazz singer
Residence: Xurupita Village, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Family: Zico and Zeca Carioca (nephews), 6 cousins
Relationships: Rosinha Vaz (ex-girlfriend), Donald Fauntleroy Duck (best friend; fellow member of the Three Caballeros), Panchito Pistoles (best friend; fellow member of the Three Caballeros), Nestor (childhood friend), Afonsinho (childhood friend), Pedrão (childhood friend), Galdino “Zé Galo” Chaves (rival->occasional friend->???)
Likes: Brazilian music (especially Samba), Latin Music & Dances, drinking, traveling, parties, singing, dancing, foreign cultures & music, telenovela
Dislikes: Malicious comments against Donald or Panchito
José Carioca is a sub-vocalist and dancer of the Three Caballeros, the latin-pop boy band. He is also a Samba pop/jazz singer in Brazil. From same university with his two friends Panchito and Donald, the group was formed sharing same passion and pursuit for music career. In most of their songs, José takes control in dance break to rile up the fans at concert. The most calm and polite individual, he is the peacemaker between his team and other rivaling musicians in a middle of intense rivalry. Among the trio, José is most known for having great counts of scandal (with men, women, non-binary, etc).
Born in Xurupita village since childhood, he usually hang out with his childhood friends Nestor, Afonsinho and Pedrão. It is known he has six cousins who live in separate states within Brazil. While he loved to sing, he began to fear of losing his singing voice as he entered puberty. Believing that changing his male reproductive organ to female's would solve his fear, he used all his part-time job money to pay for the surgery, which miraculously, he was able to retain his androgynous singing voice. With his natural talents in dancing and singing, he decided to move to United States in order to learn performing arts as soon as he graduated high school. At one point, he struggled to carry his musical instruments and was about to fall until Donald caught him and his instruments safely. Impressed, José quickly befriended him. When hearing of forming a band, José offered his idea of having three in a group as both scouted Panchito, the Mexican student. Since then, the three friends wrote songs and performed from USA to other Latin American nations. When he confessed to them of his past of surgery, the two nonetheless accepted José. When they were preparing for Europe Tour, Donald's neck was injured causing him to unable to sing. José was seen tearfully bidding goodbye to Donald who left for his 4 years of service in the Navy. Due to the recording company's high demanding and irresponsible supervisions/control, both José and Panchito left the company. While Panchito became a mariachi and Mexican pop singer in Mexico, José returned to Brazil where he became a Samba pop/jazz singer under the stage name Zé. He reunited with his childhood friends and encountered Rosinha Vaz, beginning his relationship with her.
At some point, he thought of marrying Rosinha but was harshly scorned by her father Rocha Vaz who have already planned to set her up with Galdino “Zé Galo” Chaves, the Top1 wealthiest in Brazil. José was unfairly scorned by Rosinha's father, calling him "Castrato Tranny", mocking Panchito and Donald and insulted his family. In anger for the first time, José warned him to never mock his family, friends and their dream, adding that the old man had jinxed himself and would die someday with all money useless to him. While dated Rosinha, he felt as if she was putting him and Zé Galo on the hook, growing less confident of himself. Yet, he find himself occasionally befriend his love rival. One day, he received a call from Panchito about the plan to restore Donald's singing voice. Understanding Donald's wish to comeback as "Three Caballeros", he put his friend's dream first as he broke up with Rosinha and agreed to perform in the hotel owned by Chaves family. With enough money earned, he left Brazil and moved back to USA. When Donald's voice was finally cured, the three made their comeback in House of Mouse, confirming their return and continuing their careers together.
Because of his experience in raising two nephews before Donald's surgery, José is one of very few who is able to handle Huey, Dewey and Louie's antics. Being a member representing LGBTQ+, majority of his fans are of same community and often perform songs in Pride Parades/Carnivals. He has a somewhat naive side when advised by Donald in writing songs through expressing or telling stories genuinely, José released his single song "Amazonian Cuckhold" based on the legend of Encantado/the Amazonian Pink Dolphin, adding spice with story in a song; in a POV of Encantado who found the lonely girl in a party as her boyfriend stood her up with other girls, so Encantado wooed/seduced the girl while insulting her boyfriend. Despite the censorship, the song has become a cautionary tale to never take the received love for granted or someone better would steal their lover away.

My headcanonny backstory for José 'Zé' Carioca, as a Brazilian that has in fact NOT read the comics so this is just bullshit I came up with based purely in vibes
For me the maternal side of his family is from Bahia, his Grandma migrated to RJ when his mom was young. (Though he never went to Bahia before meeting Donald)
His father is from Rio, from all way back, and is the one with the surname Carioca
He has a older sister, but she's like way older, probably +10 years difference
His granny(mom's side) is actually a ""witch"", or something like that. But just basic nature stuff. (If José knows any magic is debatable since he only shows in the first movie)
His mother died when young, and his dad is not the best
Not like abusive, but he really shouldn't have a child he is just kinda negligent? Like not caring too much to where Zé goes and stuff
His sister moves out of the house young too, like they probably didn't live together for long
He used to go to his granny house on weekends and was actually very attached to her. She dies, obviously
And he kindof grows up in the streets, making friends with Nestor, Pedrão and cia, having meals in their houses etc going back to a probably empty house etc etc (i think I'm making this too angsty, and I don't really like it that way, but c'mon he's poor, life isn't easy)
If his dad taught anything was to get out of work and kinda to scam people, he didn't taught how to be good at it tho.
He does to school tho, and there he learned he loves 2 things Music 🎶 and women Rosinha
I believe she is for real his first crush and starts with him young, so isn't about her money o something (idk if they have an actual first meeting in the comics tho)
They start dating as teens, her dad doesn't approve and they go on to have a not really stable relationship because he's kinda of a jerk and she is jealous
Now considering the movies Saludos Amigos & The Three Caballeros "canon" and that Zé story is set in the 40s. Here is how I think it goes
It's the middle/start of the war and some boats of the U.S Navy shows up in the coast of Rio, that's how he meets Donald!
He shows him the city, probably try to scam some money or whatever, but become actually really close after a night of drinks, and really good friends after some days . But Donald has to leave.
(also when I say scam some money I mean, getting him to pay for thing probably expensive and give it to José or something, maybe that's how they end up drinking)
Later, when Brazil is actually starting to entering the war he flees, somehow, maybe Rosinha pays for him idk (Rocha Vaz would definitely want him gone, but I think the war would be preferable oh well)
Seeing he really doesn't want to see the snake smoke, he ends up in Mexico and meets Panchito!
Their meeting is not as nice though, they compete after a girls love, threaten each other of death and stuff (canon comic) but they part away not really hating each other
After a while he is the US of A working (oh no) as a entertainer (hm ok) when he re-meets Donald and Panchito!! (They both met each other in battle of something, and got along nicely, Donald is dispatch by the navy at this point). Panchito and José make amends and thus the Three Caballeros is born! They absolutely become besties (or something more👀)
That last point is absolutely based on a comic by @polisena-art though. Great art by the way, be-au-ti-ful
Then the *movie* 3 caballeros happens, on Donald's Birthday, they travel to their respective countries. And finally Bahia!
They part ways and become pen pals
A lot after that though (and after others apparitions in animated stuff, if from other eras)
So, Zé's sister is pregnant by some guy, it's twins! Our favorite parrot now is tio. But they aren't actually together a lot, Zico and Zeca live with their mom and probably dad, only seeing Zé occasionally.
But something happens and he becomes their legal guardian. In my mind their mom was sick, so they start spending more time with him as her disease worsened until she die (why did this become angst again?)
He takes a while to find his footing, but all thing including he ends up a good parental figure to them.
He also reconnect (actually just connect I guess) with some distant family. Mostly his primos, who coincidentally also have Ze in the name
Now just some throwaway headcanons
In my vision the name os his sister is Ana, His parentes are Joca and Tereza, and his Grandma is Zelaide and his paternal Grandpa is Josué
Also in Saludos Amigos his greeting card reads "José C. Carioca" and I'ma gonna assume that's with Costa or Do Carmo. Which would be his mom surname I guess. Even if both of them ends up sounding like locations in pair with Carioca
He start smoking kinda young, and continued for a long time (mostly stress smoking) until he got guard on the kids, than he stopped
He absolutely has a soft spot for kids btw
His relationship w/ Rosinha don't go anywhere, a really on and off thing, that doesn't end up working. But they still love each other (platonically (mostly)) and are good friends
He considers Nestor basically an younger brother. And all of his friends as his family
He is very emotional about this bunt refuses to show it
Honestly he gets along great with Gladstone. I just think it's worth mentioning because they're really similar for the stress of Donald
He also does a lot of Drag, and that's canon I just think it's neat
For my lgbtq+ HCs. He's a "Caiu na vila o peixe fuzila" (Pan and Polyam), but depending on the decade and his age he might be closeted. Also GNC
He plays a lot of instruments, including: guitar, tambourine, concertina, umbrella, flute, accordion and trumpet
He's also really good imitating voices and noises (parrot, duh) and whistling
He can cook decently, but hates it. Unfortunately he's a guardian of two and can't go always eat dinner at Pedrão .
But he cooks with pleasure to the caballeros when they come. Or in especial occasions for everyone.
He's a really good artist with watercolor, pencils and at photography, but he doesn't do any of that often
And for the surprise of all he kinda likes studying, especially art, languages and music. No would guess by how he was at school
Not actually for him, bit I want to believe Zé Paulista name is José Paulo, and he's related to José dad's family side, along with Pampeiro and Queijinho
Where Baiano and Jandaia are related to his mother's (yes, this based purely by the location of the states)
And not really a headcanons but I just love the Three Cabs as a throuple it's just so cute
Also between the three of them he has the braincell™ but neither does he use it or have some common sense to pair with it (that one stays with Donald)
Also Don calls him Joe, while Panchito calls him Jose (hispanic accent™)
And Panchito it's the only one who he doesn't actually mind doing it, even if he doesn't correct the others
Also his eyes are a reddish brown (I hate the blue from the comics with a passion) also in a human AU he would be black, thank you very much
And that's kinda of it. I love this cartoon parrot so much it doesn't even make sense
I could've go on with some aus where instead of WWII is DuckTales/Lottc, but I have to think about them first

Happy 80th birthday, José Carioca (Zé Carioca)!
On this day, August 24, 1942, a Disney film called Saludos Amigos was shown, which shows exotic places in South America, primarily Brazil. Yes, although the film had propaganda content in which Brazil entered World War II on the side of the Allies, there was certainly an educational and entertaining content. That film brings something else special. In that film, a character named José Carioca appears for the first time, a parrot from Brazil who is very attractive and friendly and becomes Donald's best friend. Yes, Donald was the then ambassador for making new friends in South America. Later, in the movie The Three Caballeros, Donald will make another best friend, Panchito Pistoles from Mexico. And so the famous trio, The Three Caballeros, was born.
Nevertheless, José Zé Carioca, who first appeared in the movie Saludos Amigos, celebrates his birthday today. And the 80th birthday. Also, I wish him a happy birthday.
One of my favorite Duckverse characters and one of the best fictional parrots, he certainly has a long history as well. After two films, José Carioca also appears in Melody Time, Carnival Time, Mickey Mouse Works, House of Mouse, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Mickey Mouse Cartoons by Paul Rudish, Ducktales reboot and finally, of course, in Legends of the Three Caballeros. Although he often appears with Panchito in the animation, he is still a separate character. He certainly retained the classic personality he had in the original film. He certainly ended up being great in Mickey Mouse Cartoons and The Legend of the Three Caballeros. Yes, watch out for the accent on his name, he is from Brazil, and Brazilian Portuguese is spoken there.
Apart from animation, José Carioca often appears in comics specially published in Brazil, where he has a different and big role. Besides being a friend of Donald and Panchito, he certainly has his own friends in Brazil such as Nestor, Pedrão Feijoada, Afonsinho and others, also he has his own girlfriend named Rosinha Maria Vaz, who is similar to Donald's girlfriend Daisy. Just like Donald has his nephews, José also has nephews named Zico and Zeca Carioca. Yes, I'm not talking about his family, especially he has a lot of relatives, and he also has his grandmother. I have to admit that I'm not that familiar with Brazilian comics, as well as with the José Carioca family, but I'm certainly gaining more knowledge about them on the Internet lately, and I'm grateful to my friends who introduced me to this world of Zé Carioca comics.
Yes, apart from comics, José is also present in video games and as a mascot and in various Disney merchandise and is quite popular in Latin America, primarily in Brazil and Mexico, but also outside Latin America, such as in Japan. And not to forget, also Jose's very mischievous friend, Aracuan Bird who lives in the Amazon Rainforest.
Certainly, there is a lot to say, and this is more than enough. Now the most important pictures of José Carioca from the beginning until today, with his friends and his family. Happy 80th birthday, José Carioca!
If you love this Brazilian parrot, as well as his friends and his family, feel free to like this and reblog this!

Donald Duck with his family and his best friends - Happy New Year and Happy Holidays! - Modern Three Caballeros and Quack Pack
I wish everyone a happy New Year 2023! And happy holidays!
This is one of my first drawings I did for the year 2023 and if this was supposed to be in the previous year but oh well. Yeah, sorry it didn't turn out the best, but I drew almost all of my favorite characters that I love from the Duckverse in one drawing. Like last year, or the year before last, I mostly draw characters gathering together celebrating holidays, including Christmas and New Year's celebrations. As I unfortunately didn't get to do Three Caballeros Week last year, this year I will do as much around them as I can.
So since I drew the Quack Pack the other day, I decided to draw the Three Caballeros again, but in modern clothes with my friends and my family. And that's mostly in the Quack Pack AU version, which I like to imagine. Yes, they met three caballeros again, but now they are in modern clothes and this is more of my headcanon. I merged Brazilian comics, The Three Caballeros, Legend of the Three Caballeros, European comics and Quack Pack into one. Of course, in my own way and in my own style. Everyone, together with their family and friends, is celebrating Christmas (behind them you can see glowing lamps, mistletoe and a Christmas tree) and preparing dinner, so everyone will enjoy a beautiful night together.
There's Donald and Daisy Duck, Panchito Pistoles, José Carioca (Zé Carioca), Rosinha Maria Vaz, Aracuan Bird, Gyro Gearloose, Fethry Duck (Donald's cousin), Dugan Duck (he's in front of all those characters, so he looks a little bigger than usual, sorry, otherwise he's Fethry's nephew), Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck (Donald's nephews), April, May and June Duck (Daisy's nieces), Zico and Zeca Carioca (Ze's nephews), Newton Gearloose (Gyro's nephew), Bolivar the dog (Donald's pet) and the cat Trixie (Daisy's pet). Everyone celebrates the New Year together! Also Donald is in a love triangle with Daisy, Cabs and Gyro, while Zé is in a love triangle with Rosinha, Panchito and Donald. I hope you like this drawing and this idea!
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023! With good health and happiness! And I hope to draw more than last year! Especially this version.
¡Feliz navidad y próspero año nuevo!
Feliz Natal e Feliz Ano Novo!
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
P.S. Also, this is my gift for my friend @you-big-palooka @isabellanajera, I wish her a happy belated birthday and happy holidays and I wish her lots of happiness and health. I hope you like this gift of mine!
