Things in the welcome home fandom that make me wanna pull out my organs one by one
DISCLAIMER!!!!!!! I AM NOT TELLING YOU TO GO HARASS THE PEOPLE WHO USE THESE STEREOTYPES/THINGS IN THEIR OWN AUS. I am simply stating my opinion and do NOT go harass the creators of the AUs i mention
okay starting strong!! shipping heavily queer coded characters with the opposite gender. EX: Wally x Julie and Medic x Mercy
it just feels so forced and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth cause it feels like theyre trying to erase queer representation. Wally x Julie feels like massive sapphic (and Aroace depending on who you ask) erasure since i (and quite a few of my moots) see Julie as sapphic, others see wally as aroace, the RF au especially makes me feel sort of uncomfortable since his entire character feels way too serious to be wally, with the fact its a Wally x Julie AU makes it even worse for me
second, When wally is protrayed as being flirtatious and possesive
the possessiveness is a problem i see with a lot of young fem presenting/identifying fans around my age or older, Im not blaiming those fans for wanting that in a partner because as young girls/fem people we are conditioned by the media to want that possessiveness even though people who view you as their property are more likely to overstep the boundaries that you set and it’s generally an unhealthy relationship, but I hate the misscharacterization of it.
When a creator makes a “punk” or “emo” au and does the most piss poor research on the alternative fashion they’re representing
Punk itself is a movement not just a fashion sense, its anti-bigot, anti-facist, and anti-classist. So I hate it when a creator just puts Wally (and the others) in black leather and call it “PuNk” no thats the most mainstream BS I’ve ever seen dude. Emo (atleast how I view it) is a generalizing term for Alternative fashion not to mention the AUs only ever use the term punk or emo, like get fucking creative godamn
Anime inspired AUs that aren’t tongue in cheek (tongue in cheek: in an ironic or insincere way)
It just rubs me the wrong way. That’s all (Also a lot of mainstream anime have a habit of sexualizing their especially young female characters)
Mafia/mob AUs that romanticize the mob
The mafia was an organization of CRIME, that means wally or barnaby or who ever is probably a wanted war criminal in fifteen different countries in that AU for either mass murder, being a hit man, drug trafficking, maybe even a little human trafficking. The mafia (or yakuza or whatever) was fucked up man.
AUs that include Wally being a creep towards people
It’s just fucking gross I don’t have to justify this one.
The people who made those “sexy” edits on TikTok before clown stated he was okay w/ NSFW
Y’all pls, it’s not that hard to respect the creators wishes. And for some reason all the ones I saw were made by Spanish speaking fans
That’s all I guess

Ok honestly any rivusa shipper will enjoy the comics and their stories like as a child (I collected the comics from the debut issue and in the country I live every month they would realise a new issue so I’d buy the winx comics every month) I watched the show but the comics made me genuinely love the characters and their relationship ESPECIALLY rivusa and it’s honestly thanks to the comics they solidified their spot as my otp. I mean rivusa have a whole wiki section on the winx fandom wiki dedicated solely to their comic storyline and honestly it’s so iconic. They just have great moments (like I rmb there was one issue where Musa was panicking to look presentable while she was gonna go meet riven in magix city and once she got off the bus to meet him as he’s waiting at the bus stop there’s a whole frame of them holding each other and staring into each other’s eyes and he calls her beautiful😍😍😍 and in that issue when the girls ask about him there’s a whole frame of her heart eyes with hearts in the bg as she raves to the girls “riven is very sweet and kind when you get on his good side” like PLEASE YOUR HONOUR I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and I distinctly rmb from my childhood this issue where the winx and specialists get stranded on an island back In time and Musa and Brandon are knocked out cold and even tho there’s no dialogue riven is just carrying musa to safety bridal style🥺🥺 (I think this ig acc @/rivusa._ did this thing where they screenshotted the moment he carries her in the animated cartoon and in fate and the in the comics and put all 3 side by side and idk there’s smth so fulfilling and heartwarming knowing riven will always carry musa to safety when she needs it in every version of them😭) so yes if you ever have time please go read the comics it really made me love the winx franchise as a whole even more
I've been slowly reading the comics and I'm obsessed with their s1 interactions, tho I mostly open them to see if I can make thematic edits XD
It really shows how Riven is more interested in school stuff over dating, while Musa is easily swept up by crushes
It's really cute. Riven hears something maybe dangerous and he gives it his full focus and Musa is trying to flirt with him because she doesn't think it's dangerous
They have completely different priorities, which I think is a adorable way to keep them apart lol
Omg!! That must of been so much fun!!!
The comics actually involve the assassin's that Sky's family has been so scared of in the story and I'm really excited to see how it includes other details the show glossed over
The more you talk up the comics the more I want to read them 👀
I think all of the couples have a couple part of their wiki but don't quote me on that, it's the middle of the night and I don't feel like checking
OMGGG NO NO NO NO THATS SO CUTE!!!
Musa definitely worries about her outfits, for no reason tho bc Riven is like 😍 abt her always. I imagine the most ideal response she wants to get is looking so good he forgets words exist for a while
Nfkskskejsjskskwjjw Musa and Riven are the epitome of two mentally ill people dating that are just similar enough that they understand each other without being too similar but so different that their friends are like "what???" Riven definitely stuggles to let people in, but he clearly wants to help people by going to RF and it's just 🥰🥰🥰 he doesn't trust people but he wants to protect them and I love him
OHHHHHH JESTER TOLD ME ABOUT THAT COMIC IT WAS APPARENTLY V GOOD AND IM EVEN MORE EXCITED TO READ IT NOW TNX U
Riven's love language is acts of service and physical affection, change my mind. He would never leave Musa in danger come hell or high water and I love him!!! He's doing his best and it's amazing!!! Musa from her actions in s1 isn't used to having people she can rely on so seeing that Riven will always try to help her gives her the warm fuzzies
I've always had this hc that before Musa and her dad start understanding each other, and her dad is still deathly terrified of Musa going the way of her mother if she joins the industry, Riven offers to help her get an apartment. Like no questions asked. You dad sucks? Let's help you move out. He didn't have a clear picture, Musa's dad is over protective the exact opposite of Riven's and he was projecting just a bit, but Musa was all like 🥰🥹 when he offered
I love them your honor that is all

ok. thats it. ive had enough of twitter. time to go back to the og hellsite.
i don't have enough mental energy to redo my entire old account though so i just deleted it lmao.
anyways hi. i'm nerin (name may change in the future if i find a good one). my pronouns are they/them or your choice of xenos or neos (aka anything but he/she/it). i'm not comfortable stating my age, but i am technically still a minor so 😗. i'm autistic (diagnosed) and maybe also adhd? i also have like five other mental illnesses on top of that lol
pr*sh*tters/anti-antis/🍖🌈 mfs get blocked on sight, dni. recovering proshippers are on thin fucking ice, but stay if you want to. (dni also applies to other generalized shitty people like t*rfs, r*cists, insert 3rd example, and other baseline dni criteria).
i'll make a proper intro post n shit later but uhh lmk if yall know of some good accounts for the following fandoms:
cookie run (any of the games)
paper mario (specifically super paper mario)
my singing monsters (just the first one, i just got into it a week or so ago and i only got hyperfixated on it via tiktok lol)
klonoa (any of the games)
not a fandom but if you have any recommendations for must-follow blogs, be sure to leave those too
alternatively, if you aren't in those fandoms, i'll probably also check out content from these from time to time:
nights into dreams (i specify the first game, but either game works for me)
object shows (aib is my personal fav, but all of them r cool and alsp give me *studies you under a microscope* energy ngl
a hat in time (it's been a while but i wanna see how yall are doing)
genshin impact (VERY hesitant about including this one, i'm only here to watch hell burn from the inside out on this one ngl.)
pokemon (again, hesitant about including this one, but i like to see how the fandom's doing occasionally)
animal jam (specifically classic. once again, hesitant to mention this, but nostalgia is asking me to check in on yall. have things improved since the wildworks nft situation? /genq)
not a fandom but art/writing inspiration (esp. writing prompts, color palettes, et cetera)
also not a fandom but stimboards. those things go so hard oml.
edit, 12/28/2022 - i have a gender hoard blog now. mostly because i don't want to clog up this blog's feed w/ reblogged genders haha. link is below.
ok intro over. time to watch this post collect dust for three weeks straight

Introduction video : https://youtu.be/q68QQ3bgvhQ Duni had a baby girl on the 2nd January 2024 and we will find out the name a little later this months. The mother is coming down from the rocks, holding her little girl. She loves the window of their habitat and lies down right in front of me. The first close up is her foot though :-). Moving a bit to the side so I can see. It's not easy as you can imagine the zoo is quite busy with everyone wanting to see the little baby. The first little glimpse I get, her eyes are wide open, peaking from under mum's arm. Duni got her baby on her chest holding her little arms. Unfortunately I had to change the sound as it was quite busy and loud. It is especially a shame with this zoo, as they have done something I never experienced before in a zoo. For the gorillas, their area is soundproof, but the visitors get the full experience and sound from the gorillas, and yes, even their farts, lol. They have set up speakers in the gorilla area, which get amplified so the visitors can hear it. Unfortunately, when there are too many people and kids being kids, the sound gets pretty much masked out, preventing the whole experience. As I just came back, and I'm still editing most of the videos, I keep an ear out for any sounds that are audible, and I will leave them in the video for you to enjoy. Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag
I'm super late!!! It's Aug 8, 2023, and since BookTok/BookTube intimidates me, I'm posting here.
I've read/listened to 72 books/audiobooks this year so far, so here we go! Credit for the tag goes to BookTubers Chami and Earl Grey Books.
Best book you've read in 2023: "Best" and "Favorite" are two very different things. If I remove the emotional components and sheer feral love I have for certain books and look at it from a "craft" standpoint, the answer is probably Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin or Babel by RF Kuang.
Best sequel you've read in 2023: GOLDEN SON BY PIERCE BROWN. Red Rising has me by a chokehold and by god does Golden Son hit all of my checkboxes.
New release you haven't read yet but want to: A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon. I still have yet to read Priory of the Orange Tree too. I'm waiting for the former to go paperback so I can match the Priory copy I have lol.
Most anticipated release for the second half of 2023: A few weeks ago the answer to this question was Light Bringer (book 6 of Red Rising). But I've since read it (AND IT WAS SO GOOD), lol. As of today, the answer is Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross.
Biggest surprise: Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher. I listened to this audiobook from my library on a whim, and I just fell in LOVE with Kingfisher's untraditional heroine and the capacity she has to invent her own fairytales from the bones of others.
Biggest disappointment: Swordheart by T. Kingfisher. After Nettle & Bone, I had the munchies for more of T. Kingfisher's work. Swordheart isn't bad, I guess, but I definitely did not find the same level of enjoyment here that I did from Nettle & Bone.
Favorite new author (new to you or new debut): PIERCE BROWN HANDS DOWN
Newest fictional crush: Idk if I have one, tbh. Better question is who my newest blorbo is. That honor goes to Darrow of Lykos, Sevro au Barca, and Lyria of Lagalos, all from the Red Rising series.
Newest favorite character: Oh. I forgot this was a question. LOL. Still, I somehow have a different answer for this one than I do "favorite blorbo." Newest favorite character is Tress from Brandon Sanderson's Tress of the Emerald Sea. I found her so relatable and likable.
A book that made me cry: Will I ever read a book by TJ Klune that doesn't hurt so good? I read Under the Whispering Door this year, and I honestly think I'd recommend it to anyone. It's soul-food at its finest. Jade Legacy (Book 3 of the Green Bone Saga) is another that had me sobbing.
A book that made me happy: TRESS!! Genuinely such a wholesome story inspired by The Princess Bride. You don't need to read any of Sanderson's other works to appreciate this one. It's so sweet and fun.
Most beautiful book you bought/received as a gift: All of Brandon Sanderson's Secret Project Kickstarter editions have been stunning, but Yumi and the Nightmare Painter is next level. If we don't get an anime/manga adaptation, I may lose my mind.
The book(s) I need to finish before the end of the year: Lol, too many. My TBR is extensive and ever-growing, and I often go through my TBR in a pretty chaotic way. As in, I have a lengthy list on hold via my 3 different library cards on Libby. xD I think the only thing I for SURE want to read is ACOTAR. I'm sick of feeling left out, lol. I did Throne of Glass via audiobook, so ACOTAR is the next on the docket. I'm definitely planning to read that one with my physical copies because I heard there's more spice, and I've decided spice via audiobook is really, really weird. Don't really dig it.
ANYWAY, please feel free to fill out and tag me! I say "my TBR is extensive" like it exhausts me and I can't possibly suffer any more, but I WANT MORE OKAY???

Lenses
Category: Research and planning
Camera and camera equipment play a huge role in how the results turn out. One of the major factors are lenses. Different lenses should be used for different types of shots. A good example of this is “Man VS wild” show that uses different macro and high aperture lenses to show different things in nature, larger and smaller animals are shown. I decided to research some lenses may help me achieve an effect suitable for a trailer such as this one.
I learned about the Laowa 24mm probe lens. It’s minimum focus distance is 1.5 feet. Which is approximately the distance form the lens’s front to the camera. This allows the user to be extremely close to the object and still have it be in focus, resulting in a larger than life perspective. I want to use this lens while taking close ups of the murder weapon. The scene we have planed involves a knife stabbed into a bulletin board, as blood drips off of it. This lens in my perspective would be perfect to show both the bloody weapon and the photo it is stabbing on the bulletin board while being in focus and not losing its depth.
Tumblr media
Another useful lens is the 28- 70 mm F2 L lens. This is pretty much an all in one lens due to its large focal length. This will allow me to use only one lens for most of the shoot, saving time while not compromising on the quality of image. It is a lens that provides sharp shots so if I want softer results without relaying on editing I will have to switch between lenses. It is also quite a heavy lens and as I already struggle with hand held shots due to not being able to handle the weight, this lens may cause some problems with stable output for handheld shots. I may have to take several retakes which could waste time we could not afford to waste as we are only allowed a 2 day shoot and some of our actors were only available on one day. The all in one aspect may have helped but it risks a lot of other problems it is also expensive.
Tumblr media
Lens number three is the 85mm F2 RF Prime lens by cannon. It has the best focal length for tight shots. I plan on adding lots of close ups and tight shots to show emotion up close, making shots more personal. This lens will allow me to achieve just that with clarity.
Tumblr media
Forth on this list is the 35mm F1.8  RF Prime lens. This is a wide lens that allows for the shot to capture more background while the subject still pops out due to the aperture being F1.8. This I want to use for 2 shot scenes, including the party scene where in 2 characters are dancing. It will allow me to focus on them while still showing the party around them, it will show how the couple is engrossed in one another, emphasising their love for one another. I also want to use it for the shot of Suhana (the victim) walking into a crowded cafeteria that will allow me to single her out and show her personality that demands attention while also showing a commotion in the background.
Tumblr media
The last and probably the most essential of all, the 50mm F1.8. This lens allows for clear shots in low light settings. The theme of the trailer is murder on the night of Halloween, there is bound to be a lot of low light shots. To capture these with the clarity and precision of professional cinematography this lens will be my best option. This lens also allows for fast autofocus, so i will not have to spend much time on refocusing each shot.

Despite making previous owners of the game pay extra and leaving out PS4 players entirely, what Square has revealed so far about FF7R Episode INTERmission's story makes the DLC sound like a joyful exercise in fan service for Final Fantasy veterans. Intermission Summary Photo shows two cats on top of a barrel. Weiss was also introduced, but fans of Dirge of Cerberus will already know who he is. The contact between Avalanche and the Wutai government is Zhije, while the members of Avalanche Yuffie will be dealing with are Nayo, Billy Bob, and Polk. Further, information about the characters that will feature in the DLC has been shared, as well.
