i mentioned this briefly on twitter but i really really love that flowey stays as flowey and that chara doesn't come back. as someone with ptsd it's really touching to me that the best ending is the ending where flowey has to accept that chara is gone and that he is who he is now... i feel like a lot of times loss and grief isn't handled as well as it is in undertale but flowey's case really captures it sooo well. especially with the few times we're shown that he really is healing like in the post pacifist dialogue where he begs us to let frisk live their life and that he doesn't think he could do it all again when his previous goal was to Literally Reset Everything. he goes from wanting to rewind time to be who he used to be and to relive his memories with chara but he finally learns how to let go and accept what has happened. and how in the alarm clock dialogue he seems to be spending time with papyrus given his red ribbon so he's also learning to have friends again!! for a guy who for so long has resented his decisions and blames himself for his and everyone else's grief, the fact that he is able to stay flowey, the person he is after he went through so much trauma, and heal as flowey Gets me. there's just something really touching about the fact that his trauma is still something he has to deal with but he's also able to heal in his own little ways

Underwizard alternative timelines:
Like 90% of these are angst timelines and the other 10% are self indulgent ones, sorry not sorry
Pacifist (the original one)
Future (the original but post barrier)
Genocide
Neutrals I don't think we need a list of all of them, do we?
UWU Infection Never add a U to UW. This is a post barrier timeline where a UwU virus spreads terrorizing Ebott's Town. Frisk, as the monster's ambassador, will have a lot of work to do to ensure everyone's safety from the cute virus.
REDress Previously known as the "Amalgamate" timeline, now it was completely rewritten. The families of the amalgamates took revenge on Sans and Alphys, injecting them too with Determination, melting them into amalgams as well...
War Rewind Flowey and Sans mess with the resets, mistakenly send themselves back to the time of the war between humans and monsters. Flowey dies, but Sans, adopting baby Chara to save them from their fate, allows Asriel to survive in the future and become king. Now all humans who fall underground will be treated as friends. This timeline was fairly inspired by Timetale! And also by my chats with @ask-dcf :3
Hopeless Timeline Flowey grows bored, and decides to torture Sans with Save Files and Resets to see how far that would go.
Underground's Insanity Previously known as the "Hopeless Queen Alphys Timeline" (the name was too long). The genocide version of the Hopeless Timeline. It begins as a Queen Alphys neutral ending, to then take a Horrortale-like turn, with some angsty Salphys who has to face Frisk, the strongest hunter wizard to ever exist.
Stockholm Syndrome Another Hopeless timeline, but where Flowey is able to turn Sans by his side after years of torture.
The Roleplayed Timeline This isn't an actual timeline, it's just how I tag everything connected to my RPs as Hopeless UW!Sans. (See more on Underwizard MASTERPOST).
Playbackwizard Playbacktale x Underwizard Too spoilery to UW's story talk about it now 👀

so.
okay so. this is a long one lads, lasses and lassos i really don't tend to post much of original content, here because of my haphazard schedule (read: i'm lazy), but I really couldn't go by this one cause it's just so funny to me (in a good way) so. I have an undertale au in the works, which I plan to expand, and post content about it here. The name's Undertale: Rewind, and right now i'm done working with the overall plot and am now designing the major characters (including Sans & Papyrus, the Human (lil' spoiler - it ain't Frisk, their name is Eske), and a couple others) BUT! There's also this one infamous au - UndeRewind (by the one and only @wishingstarinajar (i'm very sorry for the mention)), which a) i ABSOLUTELY adore, I really like Rewind!Sans' design and his overall demeanor is very likeable (to me at least), and his (as well as UndeRewind's) story seems to be very promising and I regret not knowing about UndeRewind until a couple months ago, and b) has a very similar name to my thing in the works, despite them being pretty different (trust me), which, for some reason, is comedy gold to me And so i decided to sketch out those two lads, just to get it out of my head
Tumblr media
in the end, I just wish @wishingstarinajar (sorry for the mention x2) good luck with everything she does, and a good day to anybody else who reads until the end :3 and now imma go read the entirety of your blog wish

I don't wanna copycat the original idea, just want do something like this
HISTORY
(let's rewind to the moment when sans captured people's souls)
during the escape, thanks to Alphys Frisk's soul, she was able to escape from the dungeon and find people to prevent destruction, but in the meantime
when they were going to the barrier papyrus and chara made a deal to give frisk some of their magic (determination) to ease frisk's task of finding people but when chara already wanted to give frisk the determination of the two dead spirits an earthquake caused by sans threw off the course of the chara why when frisk crossed the particle barrier determination did not fall into the soul, but a little lower, which caused the not special future existence of "MARY"
TORIEL
it took toriel less time to (famine) to believe in frisk again. At the time when Sans captured the souls, Toriel helped Frisk to get out of the dungeon, protecting the person from Sans' attacks...
Her character has become tougher, she hunts together with her husband for survival, wounding instead of the head, like Sansa's stomach, which prevented the mettaton...
MARIA
I'ts Chara and Papyrus Child... BUT I WILL WRITE WHAT CHARA AND PAPYRUS DON'T LOVE EACH OTHER, IS WAS ACCIDENT, SO SHIP "CHARA X PAPYRUS" DON'T EXIST...so and now about Maria...
Frisk was unknowingly pregnant with Maria due to a defect during the escape from the dungeon. As it was, Frisk died (but did it completely?). frisk was considered a "vessel" therefore Maria had no resemblance to frisk. Unlike Aliza from the original, Maria likes to read books and likes to create "puzzles", but she also had health defects like Aliza from the original. the harsh character came from the charm, but notes of kindness and energy that are also attributed to the papyrus. 2 levels after the event of the attack on her, then magical powers appeared.
has a strong dislike for her "grandmother" because of past events and, in addition, her "grandmother" disliked her because she did not have any features from Frisk.
A golden flower with a red stone was a gift of a charm for Frisk that remained with her and now Maria always carries it with her as a memory from her "mother".
after finding Frisk's diary, Maria decided to go to Mount Ebbod to see the truth. Maria took a rusty sewing knife with her because she knew how to read books about what would happen if a rusty object got into the body.

I mean it kinda makes sense that he would be a bit proactive. His brother is being held at ‘gunpoint’, toriel and the kid he just became friends with are being weird, everyone is in a panic… And the future is uncertain. He probably doesn’t want his brother to die right as they’re about to have freedom, haha.
well I mean in canon, he does jack squat unless you do a full no mercy. He's the judge, not the executioner or the jailor. he knows the anomaly is just messing with time and will rewind time again. Why bother if it's going to be undone?
sure the circumstances are different here, but it doesn't change the timeline issue. He'd be pretty Bummed The Hell Out that he got his hopes up that monsters would be able to find peace on the surface. they didn't even get to leave before humans screwed it up for them. and hey, if Frisk is true to wanting them to find peace, then they'd reset and this timeline is doomed to be reloaded over. So why would anything matter?
There's a detail that Sans doesn't know about that changes everything and motivates him to dig into the truth and be proactive. But even then, I don't see him being heroic like people portray him to be. He's not getting any big fancy speeches and he sure as hell isn't doing any fighting to win here.
i hope that distinction makes sense here. Sans is like an unmoving object while Papyrus is an unstoppable force. So it's weird when I see people portray Sans as the hero when Papyrus Is Right There willing and crying throwing up wanting to be the hero. And then Undyne IS that hero, who is just often misguided but ultimately does the right thing. It's an interesting dynamic! Sans just isn't the hero type, even if you try to put him in that position. Hell, he's never made king iirc? The DOG takes the king's role before he could.

For Full Res
From PTA (Poketale Ascendance) Chara's POV as she briefly wonders what might have happened if arceus had never found and adopted her into his family/took her into the pokemon world-
-------------
The idea came about cuz i recently replayed through the pacifist run again in celebration of Undertale's 7th anniversary
and I was thinking about my current Pokemon/Undertale AU and how in the Undertale universe of PTA, everyone's lives might actually be for the better because Chara never fell into Mt. Ebott and stuff.
Like Gaster may potentially live and not yeet himself across time and space and get shattered by his time machine basically since there wouldn't be any RESETs possibly until Frisk falls anyways. (since no Flowey, since i don't think Asriel would have died) when the dreemurrs meet the other 6 kids and possibly adopt them all too, just like how they all adopt Chara in the original story.
Asriel grows up to be a proper Prince/potential King when Asgore passes away and Toriel(? from old age-
**Currently unsure if the monsters ever do leave the Underground while Chara is off in the pokemon world/PokeEarth since PTA never really focuses on the Undertale world after arceus takes Chara away and stuff, since PTA is entirely from Chara's POV for the most part-**
I assume they do- but maybe the 6 kids and Frisk never like- digest buttercups and basically kill themselves like Chara does and they do successfully find some other way to break the barrier just having all 7 kids be alive and stuff- idek.
But ye-
Then while thinking this, I of course made myself sad as hell kinda cuz I adore the dreemurr family and Chara and Asriels friendship and stuff and i'm kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda sad my chara never has that bond??
But at the same time I also kinda just think Chara is also better off with her Pokemon family and Arceus cuz she also gets to live for basically millions of years due to Dialga (and i guess Celebi) constantly rewinding Chara's time to keep her from dying of old age or whatever
and also potentially has a better support too in Arceus for her troubles and potential abuse from the humans of her village (just based on all the hints in Undertale/implications she was abused idk)
and- ye. then I got inspired to make this.
You can take this drawing and think of it for either POV(? idk.
but ye. it was mostly just for funsies and i hope you like
------
For PokeTale: Ascendance
An AU based off of an RP between me and a friend of mine from my discord server discord.gg/pQf9ZsdF6E where the Creation Trio as babies (a time they all cant really fully control their powers and junk) accidentally create a portal into the Undertale Universe and meet Chara and basically Arceus finds Chara and adopts her after finding out about her shitty human parents and Chara ends up helping Arceus raise the babies and basically lives in the Pokemon Universe now

with the new game theory up about gen loss there’s been some discourse going back and forth, namely with people expressing their annoyance and others reacting as if game theory is the victim of cringe culture and deserve a chance.
this isn’t a full break down on everything that game theory (and matpat specifically) has done wrong, or even a call to cancel him, but rather my personal experience with the channel as someone who’d been a fan from basically the beginning of the channel who instead started avoiding it entirely.
1: consistent background transphobia. things like misgendering frisk for several videos and streams despite people actively trying to correct him or making lazy “I sexually identify as an attack helicopter” jokes during stream as late as 2020.
2: while it’s very true that pewdiepie is an ingrained part of youtube and it’s not uncommon to have him show up in creators’ histories, game theory has not only actively promoted him through controversies, has not only defended him through controversies, but has actively “called youtube out” for giving pewdiepie a slap on the wrist by leaving him out of youtube rewind in 2019 (and, hilariously enough, claimed that it was proof that youtube was silencing gamers on the platform). other creators tend to be Ignorant to pewdiepie’s alt right following and larger controversies, but matpat clearly knows and has used his influence to actively back pewdiepie up.
and sure, I do think the answer is that he’s probably still ignorant to a degree, but this is to the point of malicious ignorance. judging by what I’ve seen of him over the years I’d peg him as a centrist, but that doesn’t change the ugly ideas that he ended up placing himself behind knowingly or not.
3: he’s a serial theory thief. he’s stolen dozens of theories at this point by either taking them wholesale or combining them with other theories that he’s Also stolen to get something new. he does this without asking permission and often without credit. and even when he Does give “credit” what this will often amount to is a single line at the bottom of his description no one will ever read.
I understand why he’d rely on ideas from the communities themselves while theory crafting, he’s been doing this for a very long time and breaking a series down enough to say anything meaningful about it Takes Time. but the lack of verbal credit within the videos themselves is unacceptable. the fact that this has been a consistent issue For Years paints it not as an accident but as intentional on his part. this is speculation, but in my opinion it seems to me that he’s worried people will notice when what he actually has to add to a conversation is Rather Thin compared to what he’s lifted from other people, so he just avoids giving credit and hopes that people won’t notice.
4: his theory on petscop, which is what Actively made me choose to stop watching him forever.
I won’t get into specifics, but a part of his theory was connecting the plot of the story to the real murder of a child that was, to his credit, referenced within the unfiction series/arg. which is Cringe but wouldn’t be worth listing as a crime on it’s own.
however what he did was describe the murder of this child In Every Horrific Detail in the most disrespectful way I have ever seen. the only warning for this that he put was a general content advisory on the episode being “dark and upsetting” at the beginning, which frankly Was Not Sufficient. it was disrespectful to the memory of the child and potentially triggering for the viewer (which I know from experience).
there was no reason to do this in the way that he did and I can’t think about the man without remembering it.
none of this is a condemnation of anyone who’s a fan of game theory, but rather a psa for anyone who believes that the dislike for the channel or the man behind it comes purely from cringe culture. he’s done things that categorize anywhere from “genuinely concerning implications for his real views as a person” to “generally a dick move,” and either way is a perfectly valid reason to simply not like the man and not want to see him in your spaces.
I’d also like to encourage people to add onto this with their own points, as I frankly don’t want to see more of him to find out what else he’s gotten into since I started avoiding his content like the plague.

Forgive the anon, I just wanna talk abt an idea I had.
So, dark worlds are ostensibly created by lightners with sufficient determination. In Undertale, the description of the dream item states that it's "the goal of determination". It makes me consider the idea that dark worlds are, in some way, connected with dreams or the idea of dreaming. I wanted to know your thoughts on this potential connection. I enjoy your blog a lot btw
The flavor texts regarding the dream or bad memory items are some of the oddest ones in the game with a few very vague wordings that can be taken in many ways and can bring various possible implications. Some more particularities also exist regarding those such as the last dream wrong heal which may also be relevant here.
There are many possibilities which could explain what is going on with that flavor text such as :
A - Chara is being an unreliable narrator and this flavor text would be more reflective of their own view on the concept of the last dream than an objective statement of fact. This answer could also be a potential in-world explanation for why the last dream wrong heal exists. If Chara and Frisk have different "last dreams", then it may explain why the narrator was wrong about how much HP Frisk would gain from their own last dream.
B - It is indeed a connection with Deltarune. After all Toby thought of DR before even Undertale and there are definitely some parallels that can be drawn here. Although they can be fairly stretchy at times.
If this option interests you, you may want to check out this video at 11:03 in which it is suggested that "Creating fiction" (ie : 'dreaming') might be to creating dark fountains what rewinding time was to SAVING/LOADING in Undertale.
youtube
Or
C - Toby is just being a silly dog and you and i are both overthinking this way too much.

🌐Fact: The REWIND Button is an ability created by the power that gave him clip and his determination, this button allows you to go back in time in any A.U that you have registered, without needing to have a single specific point to reach, but without having the power to change the cannon in its entirety, since all the important events of it will follow their course. The bad thing about this ability is that it consumes a lot of power and leaves CHURRA's powers disabled for several hours. In addition, it will cause problems in the timelines of that A.U since it interferes with its baseline directly.

It's Fictional Throwdown Friday!
This Week's Fighters...
Frisk vs William Afton
Conditions:
Composite William Afton.
Scenario:
Frisk's new family takes them out to eat at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, but then William Afton lures them into the back room....
Analysis: Frisk
Long ago there lived two races, monsters and humans. The two races coexisted peacefully, for a time, until war inevitably broke out. The humans overpowered the monsters and sealed them away within Mt. Ebott.
Years later, a small child would fall into Mt. Ebott, swiftly finding themselves trapped within the caverns of the Underground. Miraculously, despite the hostility and mistrust that the monsters showed towards them, the fallen child chose peace. Over time, they would befriend the denizens of the Underground, eventually finding a way to break the barrier and peacefully reunite humans and monsters. This child's name... was Frisk.
Of course, Frisk did not accomplish this feat alone. Next to their compassion, their most powerful asset was undoubtedly their DETERMINATION. This emotion is, in fact, a supernatural substance largely unique to humankind. With the immense amounts Frisk has their disposal, they are able to utilize supernatural powers and perform blatantly superhuman feats.
Frisk's most prominent ability is their power to SAVE and LOAD. By filling themselves with DETERMINATION, Frisk can SAVE all the progress they've made on their journey thus far, allowing them to later LOAD back to that point at will. This ability activates automatically upon death and can even allow Frisk to come back from having their soul destroyed. There is a common misconception about it though.
SAVEing and LOADing does not create multiple timelines. Yes, Sans refers to timelines in the plural when discussing Frisk's abilities, but he does not mean that in the sense of there being a multiverse. What he means is that every time you reset or LOAD, you're effectively erasing the timeline up until the point you reset at. Sort of like rewinding time. The timeline that was just erased is seperate from the timeline you're now in, but they do not co-exist. This is consistent with how SAVE and LOAD is discussed throughout the rest of the game. As such, no reality desroying feats in Undertale are multiversal in scale, but more on that later.
Regardless, Frisk's DETERMINATION is still so immense that they can outright override the powers of other DETERMINATION users, such as Flowey, and their own SAVE and LOAD powers require multiple human souls to be overridden themselves. Frisk is also shown to be have their memories remain unaffected by the timeline alterations of both themselves and others, even with their SAVE and LOAD powers otherwise being overridden.
Their DETERMINATION has even been shown to grant them superhuman strength, speed, and durability, which, within the shown limits of their powers, scales proportionally to whoever they are fighting. Even at their most basic level, Frisk is capable of surviving some pretty intense things. They can walk around in Hotland unaffected, despite it being hot enough to completely vaporize a paper cup, can survive Undyne's oven exploding in their face unharmed, completely no-sold an electric shock that visibly hurt Papyrus, and walked through the CORE unaffected despite it being filled with Ozone, among others. These feats do scale to their attack potency, as they can contend evenly with monsters who can hurt them even without any killing intent.
Furthermore, Frisk's durability also scales to their soul, as monsters attack on both a physical and spiritual level. This is backed up by the fact that armors that increase the durability of Frisk's soul are items logically wouldn't increase their physical durability in any way, such as ribbons, bandanas, and aprons.
What's move impressive about Frisk however, is what they can do when their DETERMINATION is pushed to its absolute limits. When at their peak, Frisk can contend with universe busting god-like beings, such as Omega Flowey and Asriel Dreemurr. Omega Flowey opens their fight by destroying the entire timeline/save file and Asriel openly boasts that he intends to destroy the world once he starts actually getting serious. (This is backed up by the fight descriptor saying "the world is ending" during the Asriel fight, as well as Asriel having infinite stats under the Check menu.) Furthermore, Frisk can dodge incredibly fast projectiles, ranging from the sound of a dog barking to the beams of light fired by Knight Knight.
Frisk is even capable of harming Omega Flowey, albiet barely. It definitely appears that Frisk is not as strong as they are durable in this mode, as despite tanking attacks from Asriel, they cannot harm him.
In this amplified state, Frisk gains a few more useful abilities. At this point, they are capable of willing their soul back together upon its destruction, simply refusing to die. Furthermore, they can interact with the souls that Omega Flowey and Asriel have absorbed, turning them against their masters. They can even turn their own hopes and dreams into physical objects which they can absorb to heal themselves.
Having said all of that, Frisk's options are incredibly limited without DETERMINATION. They do carry a variety of weapons on them, yes, but those are widely an assortment of sticks and knives, weapons with pitiful range for the tier they're in. The best they have is the empty gun (which they can will into firing actual bullets) and the earpiece provided by Alphys, which can turn into a jetpack and allow them to shoot small lasers from their soul. The fact that they can simply RESET to try as many times as they have to also puts many of their greatest skill feats into question. Yes, they can outlast Undyne and Papyrus and Toriel, and even beat Asgore without any killing intent, but they had infinite tries to do so.
Their compassion is also a double edged sword. Integral to their greatest achievements, yes, but it also means that they will not fight unless it is absolutely necessary. The only times they ever threw a punch was when Asgore and Omega Flowey outright forced them to do so. Frisk is lucky, then, that they are such a gifted diplomat, able to reverse monsterkind's negative view on humans over the span of seemingly no longer than a day (though we are never given an actual timeframe for Undertale's events).
Amd even if Frisk is unwilling to fight for whatever reason, than the Player controlling them certainly will be. While Frisk's true personality shines through in the Pacifist Ending, they can be forced to murder all that they've come to love should the Player choose it.
Frisk isn't a fighter by choice, but their unending DETERMINATION ensures that they will overcome virtually any challenge that comes their way. In whatever Route the Player chooses from them to walk.
Analysis: Afton
Imagine it is your child's birthday. They've just turned twelve and you want to do something special for them, so you take them to their favorite place in the entire world: Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A place for kids and grown ups alike, where they can eat all the pizza they want and watch all their favorite characters dance and sing on stage.
But then you lose track of them for a minute. A stranger lures them into some forgotten backroom, and you never see them again. Imagine never knowing what happened to them, where they went, whether they're even alive. Imagine all the pain of a family broken family, the Agony of a dead child whose body is never found, multiplied by ever Fazbear and Fredbear and Sister Location that's ever been built since the 80s. Decades of disappearances, a mountain of broken lives, and hundreds of children who never got to have a childhood.
William Afton is the physical embodiment of that Agony. Metaphorically and eventually, very literally.
William Afton was once a humble restaurant owner and gadgeteer genius who co-founded Fredbear's Family Diner alongside his best friend Henry Emily. The franchise found modest success in the early 1980s in the state of Hurricane, Utah, but it all came crashing down when William's oldest son, Michael, inadvertently murdered his youngest son, (presumably named) Evan. It's... debatable how William reacted to this. Some say his actions thereafter were inspired by desperate grief. Others say he was driven by nothing but pure scientific curiosity. Regardless, William found himself... inspired by his youngest child's death... and the Fazbear franchise chain would never be the same after that...
William would vow to "put (his son) back together" and begin studying the supernatural substance known as Remnant. Think of it as a mixture of your soul and the memories people had of you when you were alive. William even went so far as to believe Remnant could be used to achive immortality. To the end of studying this substance, William would invent his new Funtime line of sentient animatronics and loan them out to locations all over the country, secretly programming them to abduct and murder children when no one was around so he could study the Remnant they produced. Tellingly, when his own daughter was killed by his creations, William left her soul to haunt his animatronics, leaving her behind to be tortured by his employees with "controlled shocks". If William ever did have a sympathetic motive, it was swiftly slipping in his quest for immortality.
Law enforcement would catch up to William once he started to do the dirty work himself, but he was able to hide the evidence and bodies well enough that he couldn't be convicted, so the ghosts of his victims would do the job for them. William would his in his old Spring Bonnie suit to escape his pursuers, the same outfit that he used to lure children away, which would then crush him to death within its spring lock mechanisms. From there, William would return as the undead monstrosity Springtrap, always coming back to slaughter children anew.
Even when he was alive, William Afton was a living nightmare. He was smart enough to build sentient child killing robots in the 1980s and cunning enough to get away with his crimes and escape legal retribution. Even when he was alive, William could rip the possessed Fazbear animatronics apart with his bare hands and the Springlock suit he's now stuck in has shown to be bullet proof.
Moreover, William has spent years studying the ethereal substance of Remnant in order to understand its effects. With it, he could create illusion disks, devices that could allow him to create hallucinations. In life, he was able to use the device to make a girl hallucinate the death of her pet dog in a video game she's playing and in death, William can freely use his Remnant to create the illusory Phantom Animatronics, which are even powerful enough to tamper with machinery. Some of his illusions are so powerful that they've successfully tricked children into growing old and dying within his laboratory because they were convinced there was no escape, unaware that they weren't in their own homes anymore and that they weren't kids anymore. This is revealed to be the actual premise for the main gameplay of FNAF 4 as revealed in the Tales of the Pizzaplex books. The Twisted Eyes continuity, meanwhile, establishes that simple exposure to Remnant can allow a person to see the dead and even regenerate from getting their head caved in.
The Fazbear Frights continuity goes into more detail about how Remnant works and details the specific type of Remnant Afton uses. More specifically, Agony. The type of Remnant that a being made of Remnant operates on is dependent on the emotions associated with them. As an unrepentant child killer, the sheer amount of evil, death, and pain Afton spread on his life has turned him into something no longer even resembling a human being. He's become a physical embodiment of Agony, a being made of pure human suffering.
Agony in particular is the most powerful type of Remnant out there, making Afton one of those most powerful supernatural beings in existence. Lesser forms of Remnant are powerful enough to create storms that span for miles, with Agony having flat out reality warping effects. William created so much Agony when he was alive that the memory of his atrocities created Agony avatars of himself. The Spring Bonnie creature from Into The Pit, for instance, lurks in a time traveling ball pit that serves as a portal to the afterlife and is capable of replacing its prey in the real world with no one the wiser. Another manifestation was capable of feeding off a man's hatred to... make.... him.... pregnant.... with a little baby Springtrap... that proceeded to rip him apart from the inside out.
...A-hem! While these entities are established to independent of William, they were passively created by his Agony, so he should be capable of using their same powers. Agony beings have been shown to bring inanimate objects to life, gradually transmute people into trash or bubble gum without them noticing, drive people to suicide, and even swap souls to steal a person's body. William himself has been shown to steal people's souls with a touch, escape being trapped in a nightmare within his own rotting body after months of torment from a vengeful spirit, and absorb all of the beings his Agony created into himself to become a giant 14 ft tall mecha Kaiju that would rampage across the city.
Fazbear Frights gets fucking insane guys, you have no idea....
That isn't that insane when you consider Agony is fueled by Zero Point Energy. A single light bulb of which can boil ever ocean on Earth. So, yes, William Afton is a continent buster.
But that's not even discussing the most powerful iteration of Afton... FNAF World.
Within FNAF World, Purple Guy goes on a quest with all other FNAF Characters to kill Scott Cawtheon, Animdude himself, the creator of the entire FNAF Multiverse. FNAF has 4 different continues in total, including the mainline games, the Silver Eyes, Fazbear Frights, and the Movie, equating to four alternate realities Scott has created. Tellingly, William's most powerful attack, Slasher, hits hard enough to nearly obliterate Animdude in one hit.
With William's FNAF World moveset, he csn bolster his speed, transmute enemies into weaker enemies, and summon mechanical helpers, Chips and Bytes, to aide him in combat. These mechanical critters can protect Afton with forcefields, land instant kill attacks, and protect William from attacks that enduce instant death, among many others.
But, ultimately, William's most powerful tool is his willpower. He Always Comes Back, regardless of what his thrown at him. William has escaped being trapped inside of never ending nightmares by Golden Freddy and Andrew, survived Fazbear Frights burning down on top of him, and beat Ultimate Custom Night. As a being made of Agony, William will always return. He's achieved his goal of immortality and now seeks nothing more than to cause death and chaos.
William started out as the Man Behind the Slaughter, but now he's graduated into something far worse.

Throwdown Breakdown:
They always come back, but only one can come back from this fight.
Stats are honestly pretty even here. Both of these characters can manipulate time to such a degree that speed is essentially meaningless, with Frisk in particular being able to fight even after the timeline itself is erased. Both can fight against people who can destroy timelines and universes at their best, so that evens out too.
The real question is who can get past the other's unkillability.
Given that Frisk can rewind time to before they died and can regenerate all the way down to their soul being destroyed, Afton doesn't have many ways of actually killing them. Sure, Afton can eat souls, but so can all monsters in Undertale and none of them could keep Frisk down permanently. It's just a deeper level of regeneration than Afton can handle. So, can Afton permanently incapacitate them?
Well, that depends. If Frisk themselves gets stuck, then either the Player or Post Genocide Route Chara could take over for them, taking control of their bodies. They are, after all, tied to Frisk. Chara is their narrator, following them on their journey and feeding on their stats, while the Player is literally the audience that Frisk is the protagonist for, determining all of Frisk's actions. You can't have one without the other, they're physically tried to Frisk. So, what we're really asking is can Afton's tricks incapacitate them as well.
Transmutation likely wouldn't work. It should be able to effect Frisk's DETERMINATION, as it stems from their soul and Afton's transmutation absolutely can effect and nullify the powers of souls and ghosts. But it wouldn't likely be able to effect the Player. William's fourth wall fuckery simply doesn't extend that far. He can kill the author of his story, but not the people playing his video game. How would that work? He's a Player Character in FNAF World himself. So nothing is stop the Player themselves from resetting the game to try again and then they loop until William tries something else.
This is similarly why trapping Frisk in an illusion wouldn't work either. Frisk and Chara may be fooled, but the Player as a being that transcends their reality would not be. William cannot manipulate the senses of a being that views him as fiction, it's a power that comes from the mainline games where Afton has no fourth wall breaking feats of any kind.
This is combined with the fact that William likely wouldn't resort to these powers at first against what he initially perceives as an ordinary child. Every time Frisk resets, time rewinds and Afton loses all his memories of the fight up until that point. As Frisk continues to adapt to Afton's tricks, Afton starts from scratch with each fight.
So, lets reverse the question. Can Frisk do anything to keep Afton down for the count?
Afton's immortality comes from his soul. He's escaped being sealed away before, but by all rights, destroying his soul will kill him. So his immortality is a degree weaker than Frisk's.
Afton obviously can't be handled in a pacifistic way because... well... unrepentant child murderer. But I do think Frisk has the means to kill him. Frisk has the means to interact with souls, not only those absorbed by other people, but their Yellow Mode can flat out damage people's souls with their bullets. Chara used the power Frisk themself gave them to completely erase the timeline and leave nothing behind, souls included. Frisk has the means to destroy William's soul to keep him from coming back.
Sure, Frisk may be unwilling to kill someone in such a permanent way (even in pacifist, they're willing to fight Asgore and Flowey in self defense, even if not kill them), but the Player and potentially Post-Genocide Chara have no such compunctions and they can take control at any time.
Sorry Willy Boy. You aren't coming back this time.

Chara Dreemurr's SOUL as the power source for the CORE, and origin of SAVE powers
Tumblr media
Headcanon's Time babey lets go
Tumblr media
Right off the bat, Dr. Alphys never actually tells you how the mechanism behind the CORE works - whether this is because she doesn't want to tell you or doesn't personally know - that's not the bit that's relevant.
But first - let's go back in time.
Tumblr media
The entire monster population lived in the Ruins, in Home, prior to Chara's fall. After, once they no longer feared humans, they began traversing the cavern of the Underground - as they went, some found their homes in Snowdin, or Waterfall, or Hotland - somehow, someway, we're lead to the understanding the monsters of the time found a way to traverse Hotland without the elevators, as there was no power due to the fact there was no way such a massive invention as the CORE was finished, or even likely started on in earnest, at the time. IE; work on the CORE likely could not have begun prior to Chara's passing, much less Chara's arrival.
Tumblr media
We know that human SOULs are persistent, and do not disappear upon death - this is true of the other six deceased humans' SOULs, even after they are removed from their container pods and absorbed and reabsorbed multiple times by Asriel. I don't personally see a reason to believe that Chara's would have shattered upon the death of them and Asriel's fused body.
Tumblr media
Chara, being the previous red soul holder, had immense levels of Determination as did their counterpart, Frisk.
Tumblr media
Frisk, as another red soul, was able to be attached onto by Chara's spirit - their matching soul as well as immense determination had the power to awaken Chara's consciousness/ghost from the ruins where they lie - and it is made clear multiple times that Chara is not currently in possession of their own determined red soul - theirs is MIA.
Tumblr media
Which brings us to the curious case of the coincidentally red soul smack dab in the center of the machine found in the True Lab.
If human SOULs can persist after death...
If red SOULs have a particularly high concentration of determination; the will the continue forward, the resolve to change fate, the ability to save and rewind time...
If Chara Dreemurr's own red soul is repeatedly stated to be MIA, and not currently at their burial site, not in any form of possession of Asgore; their own father...
If the exact mechanism of what immense power is required to turn geothermal energy into magical electricity is never explained...
Then, what if...
The extremely powerful driving force that powers the CORE, as well as the entire Underground, is Chara's own SOUL?
That red soul, with it's profound amount of Determination, is the source of the power to SAVE, to rewind time, to reload, to RESET?
The ability to SAVE and RESET, which is implied to have been utilized by all the subsequent fallen humans as well as Flowey, originates from the fact Chara's SOUL is powering the Underground, and as such, their determination has permeated the world in ways never thought possible?
...it was possible to remove the SOUL, to return it to it's rightful owner, as a gift of immense gratitude for the way they sustained the kind they loved so dearly for generations...?

"Masked Killer Echo"
Tumblr media
Fredrick “Frisk” Mercury {MASKED KILLER ECHO} [Marc Soskin]
Caucasian American, age 20, femboy, gay. 5 feet 3 inches. An all in one sex machine that can rock your world for the right price. Spunky, perky, dazzling, alluring, passionate, tenacious, professional butt chugger, consistent five star rating……and homeless. Living off the streets of Providence City not even allowed to stay at a hotel unless he’s with a client, having to give up 80% of his earnings to his pimp Valentino Vox, left with barely enough to eat for a given week. Not to mention he has to keep taking vaccination for the sexually transmitted Hellfire Disease which gives him constant hot flashes in his neither regions if he doesn’t keep up with treatments. It is a horrible life bar none. The only thing that keeps him going is his adopted sibling Chrost Matoi, this little genderless brat that just dropped into his life about three years ago and became his best friend. In caring for Chrost he found new purpose, the very purpose that made it possible for him to don the Masked Killer Bat Driver becoming the notorious gentlemen thief Echo.
[MASKED KILLER ECHO] {Laura Bailey} -Vicious Driver [BAT]; A predominantly bluish black outer armor further amplifying the femboy’s feminine build, granting him the unique speed and finesse of a catwoman. Height does not change in this form. His affinity for music has twisted the sound based capabilities of the Bat Driver, mutating them from mere sound based abilities to more drastic influence over the very wavelengths of reality itself letting him stop time in short controlled bursts! -{SKIP}- Instantaneously fast forwards time about 6 seconds in a manner much like jump cutting. -{PAUSE}- A full on time stop that lasts for up to 6 seconds. -{REPLAY}- Instantaneously rewinds time back about 6 seconds in a manner much like jump cutting. -{MUTE}- Nullifies all sound for 6 seconds thereby rendering the very concept of causality null and void, for example, attacks from enemies don't do any damage. Using any of these time based abilities will tax Echo greatly, using them too much could endanger his life.
-Overkill Core [WIDOW]; A red and blue inner armor that grants him the ability to spin seemingly infinite webs from his fingertips. Not only that it grants him the ability to shrink down to the size of a quarter increasing his molecular density and magnifying his strength to Herculean. He can only sustain this shrunken form for at least 30 seconds.
_________________________________________________
THE MASKED KILLERS Augmented humans wearing quantum mechanical biotech armors that all but make their biology inhuman. Easily identified by their monstrously shaped graffiti like eyes and having no mouth or nose. Originally created by an underground criminal empire known as Shade for the purpose of being an elite assassin taking out police forces, political targets and “undesirables”. But then came the first Masked Killer Echo who destroyed Shade leaving the Masked Killers without a master, the technology thus vanishing into the underworld for anyone to find and use to their own ends.....
-Vicious Driver; A distinct belt with a unusually large buckle like device, pumped full of viviparous animal genomes via internal quantum quartz data chips. This provides the quantum mechanical Ambrosia energy that encases the user in a fully developed battle armor giving them strength and abilities beyond imagination.
-Overkill Core; A concentrated pocket of oviparous animal genomes digitized and crystallized into a perpetual energy battery. Once plugged into the Vicious Driver, the Masked Killer is brought to life, giving them specific elemental capabilities indicative of the oviparous genomes stored in the core.
