A look at a self worse/better than you.

Ink, the God of Creation, was selfish although he refused to admit it to anyone. Prism, is the complete opposite. Let's see what happens when these two are allowed to interact. Kinda a gift to Im_Sorry_Buddy, kinda just me messing around with two blorbos. A crossover between the tumblr blog @/ask-fgod and the fic For the Forgotten Ones.

One-shot under the cut.

Ink had always noticed that mirror. Never interacted with it surprisingly enough, even though he's usually a curious kind of guy.

And a kind of guy who wasn't really scared of anything, but something about it made him uneasy, even though it's just a mirror. Literally just a plain old mirror.

Looking at it made him feel watched. Like someone was observing him, even though like he said, it's an object. He doesn't like repeating himself, but it's a stupid old mirror.

But that's the thing. It's a mirror that's been floating there for who knows how long. It was there when he first came to this place, which was when he was only a few days old.

And he's… uh…

He doesn't know how old he is now, but it's a lot. A lot a lot. Tons. Hundreds. Thousands. He would even say it's like a millena or two.

The mirror was there though. Throughout all of time. He didn't even remember creating it. Whichever being who brought him into existence might've left it for him as a gift or whatnot.

Well, it's not a good gift, that's for sure. It's just a mirror. A creepy old mirror. Curse whoever made him, that's the worst gift he ever could've gotten.

But it's been long enough avoiding it, he supposes. Might as well take a closer look at it.

Ink walks from universe to universe, taking his sweet precious time making his way over to it. The universes are close enough to where he can just walk from each to each, so he might as well.

With each step, the anticipation fills Ink's lack of a soul. It feels like someone is waiting for him, even though the mirror is just an inanimate object.

Despite the mirror's lack of a brain or soul, that someone Ink feels seems like they've been waiting for quite a long time to speak with him. About what, he doesn't really know.

He's read stories about reflections leading to other universes. Hell, he's even made universes that have plotlines revolving around that.

Hey! Speaking of that, he's on one of 'em right now! Hi mirror universe he forgot the name of! Ink waves at the door leading to the universe's inside. How ya doin'?

Maybe he should take a visit and see how everyone's doing there! Do a lil' check-up.

But he was doing something, wasn't he? What was it…?

Oh, right! That mirror. He's pretty close to it now, enough to where he can see his reflection in it. He also waves at his reflection. The reflection doesn't wave back.

Huh. Maybe the mirror is like, a cursed item. If so, pretty uncool of his creator to give him that. He's just a little silly guy, he doesn't deserve cursed items.

The guy in the mirror (that looks a lot like him but a tad different) is probably gonna come out and deck him in the face. Or try to. He isn't gonna give him the chance.

Ink pulls out Broomie from his back. He has to be prepared for some evil doppelganger tryna steal his place. Or whatever the guy in the mirror is.

Might be some evil clone of him that's like Roro and Berror that destroys stuff. His beautiful creations, his beautiful stuff.

"Hey, you!"

Huh.

"Get over here, you greyed-out idiot!!!"

Whuh.

"You hear me, don't you!? I have alotta things to say to you!!!"

Whozzat.

Ohhhh… That voice must be his evil mirror doppelganger ganger.

Makes sense, it sounds so much like him but less silly and full of joy.

Also why did he call him greyed-out. He's been called an idiot before, but not greyed-out.

Maybe evil doppelgangers like him have their own weird insults. Doesn't make sense, but it's something.

…Oooh! Maybe he could use that for a new AU idea!!!

Ink approaches the mirror, waving one hand up in a greeting, and another hand wrapped around his dear Broomie, with a big ol' smile on his face.

"Heya there my evil mirror reflection doppelganger that I have just only checked out today! How ya doin'?" He asks his alternate.

The said alternate bangs on the mirror, a small paint figure walking out of it and kicking Ink's leg as hard as it can. Which isn't hard.

"Are you insane???" The Ink in the mirror responds angrily. "How can you be like this when your whole world is falling apart!!!"

Ink leans on the mirror casually. "Doppel, bud, Doppel short for Doppelganger… I have no idea what ya mean."

"Of course." The other Ink, now dubbed Doppel by the Ink outside the mirror, "You would act like you don't know, because you're the one causing it!!!"

Ink just stares at him like an idiot, like he doesn't know what he's talking about. He does, though. "Who told ya that, buddy? Error? Blueberror? Nightmare? They're all wrong, ya know. Covering their own butts for what they're actually causing."

Doppel points a finger at the mirror, right at Ink. "Monochrome, you know exactly what I mean! I've seen your universe, I've been observing it for I don't know how long! You're making too much, and abusing that power most Inks don't have, and your place is going to die from it!"

Ink looks from the left to right and sits down next to the mirror, leaning on it still. "Whaddya just call me?"

"Monochrome, because that's what your universe looks like, and that's what you deserve to be called. You're an embarrassment to all Inks throughout the multiverse!" He responds.

"Ohhh…" Ink looks on with a thoughtful expression. "Wait, there's other Inks? That's cool! So this thingys like a communication device?"

"Yes, but-"

"Can I talk to an Ink other than you?"

"You're avoiding the topic, aren't you!" Doppel raises his arms up in frustration, exasperated. "Just admit it! It's not like there's anyone else here that's going to hear you!"

Hmm… Should he? Doppel is right, there isn't anyone here. And there never will be anyone else here, due to him being the only one that has access to this place.

Still, his pride though…

'What about his pride?' He thinks back to himself. If anything, he would have even more pride by showing Doppel how powerful he is.

It's only the other's fault that he doesn't see it the same way.

"Fineeee…" He says childishly. "Ya got me, Doppel bud. But 't's not really like you can do anything about it, can ya?"

Doppel sighs. "You're right, Monochrome. I can't. But I can at least warn you. Which you clearly aren't listening to, but at least I tried!"

"Warn me about wha?"

"Y- You-" He groans, exasperated. "Warn you about your whole multiverse dying! Your Error and Blueberror can't keep on going forever, y'know."

"Uh." Ink stares at him, looking behind from where he's sitting. "Ya they can. They're immortal. If I can create this much, then the two of them combined can surely keep up, you get me?"

"No Monochrome, I do not get you. I do not get you at all. I have to ask you a question, do you think they enjoy destruction as much as your creation?" He asks.

"Ye-"

"Tell the truth."

"Yes."

"Tell. The truth."

"I said it, I think they do!"

"Monochrome, so stars help me." Doppel tiredly looks at Ink, an expression emoting his frustration clear on his face.

Ink makes a face similar to a cat, his ovalike eyes round with faux-innocence. "Trust me, I realllllly do think they like it!"

"You're me, Monochrome. I'm you." He pauses. "I think I'd know well enough when you aren't being honest. I think even you can tell that your Error and Blueberror are unhappy about what they're being forced to do."

"But Berror is pretty murder-happy i'nt he? He's killed me on multiple occasions." The other proudly proclaims. "So why wouldn't he be happy killing people other than me?"

"Because you suck. Next."

"I don't suck!"

"Yes, you do."

"No, I don't! I'm a cool little silly guy who has never done anything wrong or immoral in his life! Trust me!" Ink insists.

"I do not trust you." Doppel strikes back. "Anyways, how about Error? He rarely lays a finger on your smug little body."

"You're small too!"

"You're avoiding the question again. Answer it." He commands Ink.

"Well…" He pauses, thoughtful. Thinking with that little small brain of his. "Roro just likes me more, I guess!"

"I doubt that. Error's just more of a pacifist than anything."

"Then why does he-"

"He only kills because you force him to. I thought we already established this, Monochrome."

"Well… Hmm… How do I know that?" Ink laughs. It's hard to tell if he's laughing at the situation he's in, laughing at Doppel, or just laughing in general. It doesn't really matter, he's laughing anyways.

Doppel, meanwhile, isn't amused by this.

"Hey, you greyscale little liar! This isn't a laughing matter! You wanna know how you know that?"

"Hm… hehehe… bet, I guess." He giggles.

Doppel inhales, then exhales, calming himself. He has to, or he will find a way to strangle this little self-serving… self-serving… stars, he can't even think of an insult.

Well, it's not like he deserves one.

He begins his question. "You know how Error fell into the void? Like, on purpose?"

"Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything? He's back now, right?" He unseriously remarks.

"Well, I've looked at other multiverses… and some are very similar to yours. So similar, like they stem from the same concept."

"Your point being…?"

Doppel hovers over him, trying to look as threatening as possible. He has to get this through the other's thick skull that he could've had it worse. "Error could've dragged you in there with him if he was a quote on quote 'worse' person. You'd both be gone if that was the case. And I don't think in your multiverse a magical deity would be willing to save someone like you."

Ink stares, silent. He looks up at all the universes jam-packed together, stares behind him at Doppel through the mirror, stares at Broomie who is sitting right beside him. A thought crosses his mind.

A thought of if that really could've happened.

But before he even has the chance to read through what Doppels statement implied, he laughs.

"You really think I'm gonna believe that?!" He giggles. "You gotta be joking me. I would never leave myself open to an attack like that, even if that ever were to happen!" Ink snorts, falling onto his back in laughter. "People love me, they'd protect me from getting dragged into there. And Error knows not to do that to me, cuz he knows that I'm the one in charge, y'know?"

Doppel just stares at him incredulously.

Ink continues. "Dream would defend me, all my creations would defend me, everyone other than Nightmare, his gang, Error, and Blueberror would protect me! It's like… uh… five? Six? Four? Against tons! I'm not gonna fall into the void, even if I did I know whoever made me would get me out, you do realize that, right?"

Doppel still stares.

"Are ya… huff puff… Wow that's a lot… Yeesh you gotta be… puff huff… More threatening and real than that to make me doubt myself!" Ink rolls over on the floor, onto his side, grabbing his non-existent stomach.

"You're insane." Doppel states. "What are you even doing this for, anyways?"

"Cuz I like it, Dop-Dop! It's not gonna go downhill anytime soon, so why should I stop when I have all the support on this side of the multiverse!?"

"Because it's hurting people???" He says, incredulous yet again. Yet again? He's been incredulous for almost this whole conversation. "Is that all you care about? Fun? Attention? Being the hero?"

Ink sits up, finally gotten all the laughs and giggles out of his system. "I don't wanna say you're right, but I don't really wanna say you're wrong, either. Just leave, you aren't gonna change my mind."

Doppel glares at him. "At least I tried. It's your own fault if this backfires on you, one way or another. I hope I never see you again."

With that, Doppel disappears from the mirrors reflection, leaving Ink only to stare at himself.

Like he always is. Focused on himself.

Never even thinking of consequences.

Never.

Why Kris Does (and Can't) Play the Piano

Something I've been thinking about for a little while is why Kris can't play the hospital piano when given the prompt by the Soul/Player.

My assumption from back in the days of Chapter 1 was that it was simply a byproduct of the possession, that something about the way Kris is being controlled keeps them from being able to play properly. But the more I've thought about it, the less sense it makes. It's not as if we're given an interface like with the piano in UnderTale that would limit Kris to pressing one key at a time, it's a yes or no input. And think of all the things Kris can do in battle in response to a one or two-word prompt given by us. Like with dialogue choices, the Soul may give Kris the basic command, but they're free, to a certain extent, to interpret and embellish upon it. Why would piano be any different? They should be free to play whatever they want.

For a lot of people, the kris_dreemurr_kris page complicated this question further. Does pianpian's complexity and subjective beauty prove that Kris can actually play piano, or does its chaotic nature with a lack of a clear melody prove that they don't actually know how? Or, does the fact that they go to play it after getting a look like they're "remembering something" suggest that the piano skill was never theirs at all?

For me, kris_dreemurr_kris provides an answer.

Specifically, thanks to this bit:

Kris doesn't want Noelle to watch them playing piano. Whether because they're still learning and get somewhat embarrassed by it, or because they just want it to be a private thing, they don't want an active audience.

Now, we don't know exactly how much time has passed between this blog post and the events of the game, but, based on the first line of the page ("there was a time when they were coming over almost every day"), it's been a little while since Kris began this piano ritual. We don't know how good they've gotten at it since then, but based on the harsh look they give Susie when she teases them for not being able to actually play piano, I'd wager a guess that they've gotten good enough that their pride was hurt by such a comment.

But if Kris can play, why don't they?

Because it's something they do for themself. Music, after all, is a form of self-expression.

And whether or not they'd be willing to let Susie be an audience to it, it can't be Kris's genuine self-expression when they're not fully themself. When someone else is making them do it (even if they would have full control over the actual playing). It has to be their choice.

So they flub it on purpose. A dissonant chord that gets across the idea "oh, they can't play anything better than this", and thereby lets them back away. And as much as they hate how it leads Susie to the incorrect conclusion, they'd rather that than play wonderfully when a) there's the risk of her later finding out about the possession and attributing their piano skill to their possessor, or, just, b) it can't be genuinely theirs.

Now, as far as why Kris gets that strange look of remembrance on their face before going to play Noelle's piano... That's where we get more into out-there theory territory.

I don't think that Kris is being possessed at those moments - not in the way we currently understand it, at least. While it does seem likely that there's been something fucky with their Soul for a good while now that got them to have a routine for taking it out, the look Noelle describes them having in these moments doesn't seem to match up with how the possession has been described to affect Kris. The nurse in the hospital says in Chapter 1 that they look a little sick, and when Noelle in post-Snowgrave describes how Kris is acting weird, she says they've only been acting strange "recently". If Kris was being possessed pre-Chapter 1, it was a possession of a significantly different kind (and I have to wonder why such a possessor would be taking them away from their time with Noelle to play piano, and why they would force Kris to stop the second they're observed).

So if it isn't that... what is it?

Perhaps it has to do with a secret in pianpian itself. As @gasterofficial discovered, with some audio editing, you can hear a scratching sound in there. If that sounds familiar, it should:

Perhaps Kris's playing of the piano is an attempt to reach out to someone - or, more in line with the way they'd leave Noelle so abruptly to start playing, to reciprocate their communication. Whether that be with the person doing the scratching, or the person in the code who also hears the scratching. If you're still fond of the possession idea in this context, you could even argue that they're channeling that person in these moments.

As far as who that person is... what characters do we know of currently who are missing, possibly trapped in the code/void... and are musicians, making it more likely that their messages would be communicated in a musical form?

Or, to put it another way: if Noelle isn't the one who plays the piano in her house... who might that have been?

Introducing: Undertale self-insert #102480125 (Version 1.0)

HELLO HELLO SO I KNOW I HAVE TO CATCH UP WITH INKTOBERTALE BUT SHUSH I NEED TO INTRODUCE IO'S "CREATOR" COUNTERPART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now it's time to explain the physics of this hhh

Aurum doesn't live inside the UTMV, but rather, exists as a creator for it, and lives in the fandom itself. That "fandom" location functions as a realm that allows for creativity from beings living in our world to brew and develop further to then take form in the UTMV itself, and is also where Creators can interact with eachother, no matter the distance.

Aurum cannot interact directly with the UTMV, but, due to being a Creator, is able to craft things and characters that live within it.

To do this, she requires a quill that it takes with itself wherever it goes. It functions as an outlet for her creative abilities.

I've also been thinking of the possibility of its soul being that quill, due to how tightly Aurum is connected to her creativity, but it might take me a bit to figure out the specifics for that.

In addition to creativity, Aurum is also able to spectate the works of other Creators, and of course, interact with said fellow Creators, but it can take her a bit to get out of it's shell.

Aurum tends to add quite an amount of detail to its work. While it has tried various artistic outlets, the one in which she excels the most is drawing, animation and writing, especially the earlier 2, as those are the hobbies it has been practicing since it has memory.

It also happens to be quite the extra-clever being. (extra clever earthbound spirit ghost in the form-)

It struggles with issues from a past fandom she used to mostly create for, and is trying to recover by 'pushing away shame', as it would word it. It also appears to have a particular dislike of what is known as cringe culture.

That scarf it wears? Just as the ref sheet says, it provides safety, but it also helps somewhat at covering up her neck scar that comes from a far older thing that happened. The scar may sometimes bleed when Aurum feels unsafe or as if it has 'slipped up creatively'.

Some bonus trivia:

Aurum's blood is gold! I made it like that because i myself have RH Null blood, which is also known as the....golden blood type.

It's design is inspired by the silver fox because I just recently found out it is one of my kintypes. And also because i have a tendency to represent myself online as a fox.

And the 'draconic' stuff? Dragon kintype, though that is covered by Io.

Speaking of, Aurum is the being that puppeteers Io.

Aurum is meant to be in the autistic spectrum, as i myself am autistic!

I got the name Aurum from "Au", which is the periodic table of elements's symbol for gold. And y'know.... AUs! Aurum is a Creator! Doesn't that tie together nicely?

Yes, the scarf that it's wearing is a recreation of Ink's scarf.

Aurum first started as an arctic fox but then started getting covered in ink over time from drawing and drawing and drawing a lot, so it's basically identical to an actual silver fox.

Aurum sometimes stands on 2 legs, usually when interacting with other Creators.

I believe that's all i can think of right now, now off i go to catch up with Inktobertale. I may also do asks for Aurum when i take breaks! (AND I JUST REMEMBERED I MADE A SIDE BLOG TO RP AS IO HHHHH I GOTTA GET IT READY)

Hi everyone?

Back from my little break I guess.

1 year is quite little

yea sure April 18 ,2023( the last time I posted) was a long time ago but,

I have an excuse! I was going to take a break in observance of my little sister turning 10 (she's 11 she's growing up way too fast), boom one year later.

Genuinely forgot why I left Tumblr,for that matter social media after that..blame it on mental health and stress.

People should know that stuff happens in a year, things change. So guess what, this blog is changing..whoopi. Excluding my pfp I love it so much for absolutely no reason

When I created this blog, I was in my "Jeantonio era", Jeantonio hyperfixation, if you were a CS fan in late 2022 most likely I was in your screen yapping about them and what not. Literally that was all my blog was good for, for that reason alone.

Yea, no more of that. I'm guessing the light switch turned off. I don't know what happened genuinely speaking they just aren't like..you can say I've gotten mature, when I look back at my posts I want to cry, bawl and curl up into a ball fetus position by the pure cringe of it. I don't know.

Not all only Jeantonio, it's just CS in general, sure I'm in a discord server (hi @tiredguyswag) about La Femme Rouge but I really just don't feel the same way about the show I used to. Blame it on personal life I guess.

now that I say that all I say on discord is how I stopped having a Jeantonio hyperfixation 🙃

you’re probably offline again, and I don’t know if anyone is gonna see this. but your au is genuinely one of my most favorite Undertale AUs ever. I have been in the Undertale fandom for a LONG time, but I don’t think there will ever be something as well written as the Caretaker AU again. the amount of research and love put into it is so cool. it truly does feel like something that could possibly happen in the actual canon and I LOVE it.

your version of Chara is also one of the most best portrayals of them I’ve EVER seen in the entire history of the fandom. when you began releasing the final chapters for the AU, I remember just sitting at my computer and rereading Chara’s lines over and over again. because their character was just so interesting to see in action. even when it was still a comic, their goddamn expressions and words are just so memorable to me. I still and always will have that little sadistic smile ingrained in my brain. (that also includes literally every character in comic even the background ones.) I love how you handle Chara as well, how you made them a horrible person but not totally unrealistic. like that one asker said, you feel bad for them, but just a LITTLE TINY bit. because they always screw up everything for themself and then go blame a 12 year old for it.

speaking of Frisk, your portrayal of them is definitely so very canon to me. I love their design and personality so much. they are so just relatable too, possibly one of the most realistic 12 year olds I’ve seen in a comic. they remind me a lot of me in a way, especially when I was 12 lol. I’m beyond happy they got a happy ending, they deserve it after, y’know, everything.

I wish you all luck on any other projects you may be working on. and I hope you are proud of what you have accomplished. :) you crafted a truly beautiful story. now if you don’t mind me, I’m just going to go reread everything again.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Caretaker truly was a huge labor of love. I remember back when Ellipsis came up with the concept how it just gripped me like a bear trap. I couldn't stop thinking about it! Eruto felt the same way and was saying we should make a comic, and I was like, "no no, I don't want to do all that line art" but then she was like, you won't be alone we can draw it TOGETHER and then to demonstrate she took one of my super rough sketches and lined and colored it. And I was like, wow okay maybe this is feasible.

The resulting 3-ish years it felt like we were spending every waking hour working on Caretaker. I carried my sketchbook everywhere and would draw out thumbnails during my breaks at work, I'd be thinking about it on the drive home, and then we'd get on a discord call together to draw, line, and color for hours at a time. I could go on but the bottom line is that I LOVED IT. Each finished page (drawn or written!) fills me with pride and I look back fondly on the time spent creating and maintaining this blog together. It was exciting, compelling, and at many times exhausting, but worth it.

As far as the characterization goes, glad that you appreciate it! We reminded ourselves to never lose sight of the fact that Chara was still a human being--full of contradictions and ego and multiple-facets--but we didn't want to justify their behavior either. We all know people who are selfish, manipulative, and arrogant, but what happens when a person like that gets naïve enablement and never has to face any repercussions for their behavior? Without the correcting force that is LIFE, a cynical, angry, cruel child like Chara didn't have any reason to second-guess their worldview. Of course anything that goes wrong must be the fault of someone else!

This has already gotten kinda long, so all I'll say on Frisk is thank you and glad you agree! Personally, I knew some friends of the family who had kids about that age so I tried to reference their behavior in my mind when it came to writing Frisk. (Though most of Frisk's behaviors boil down to "RUN!!") Through the many discussions and occasional rewrites of this story, we always planned on ensuring Frisk had a happy ending. ♥

Believe it or not, being eternally single kind of means that you end up forgetting about Valentine's Day whenever it rolls around each year. I got a sudden shock in the SiIvaGunner Discord when someone pointed out I was about to miss one of the channel's longest-running jokes, done each February 14th since the start of the channel. Events come and go, Seasons pass, the channel grows, yet each Valentines Day, the SiIvaGunner character remains lonely. Each year, SiIvaGunner says Goodbye To Love.

Bobby Vinton's Mr. Lonely is the kind of song that's damn near perfect for use in shitposting. Its a well-remembered, classic song, yet also one that's very inherently memetic, still able to convey the crux of its point almost perfectly no matter how much you trim it, no matter what context its put in. It is, in no uncertain terms, a sad song about feeling lonely. Many funny memers of the ages, and the SiIvaGunner team itself, have thus been able to leverage this simple message to tell narratives of sorts: Each annual Valentine's Day, in making rips featuring Mr. Lonely, we're made aware in a pretty funny way that SiIvaGunner himself is single, lonely, and feels left out. This long-running joke that occurred without fail in Season 1, Season 2, Season 3 and Season 4 Episode 1, finally reached a sort of climax in its fifth go about it - during Season 4 Episode 2, Valentine's Day went from a subtle ongoing joke to a full-on event.

The channel's profile picture was changed to perhaps the funniest variant it would ever have, an edit of an infamous panel of Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul, expressing a sense of despair and resignation, inner sorrow expressed in a decidedly "anime-cool" type of way. The theme of the rips uploaded on the day was put into focus more than ever - Mr. Lonely was *everywhere*, and rips such as the aptly-named please god let me meet her feature full-on narration leaning into the joke. Being alone in the world is of course not a joke in of itself - the event, beyond playing on the building running gag from prior seasons, is parodying and making fun of a very specific kind of "incel", "doomer", "simp" culture found on websites like 4chan and Reddit - you've no doubt seen them if you're deep enough in the trenches to be reading a SiIvaGunner blog. Its the perfect culmination to this running joke, something that felt equally expected yet surprising in their commitment to the bit - all topped off with the finale to the event, Goodbye To Love.

The SiIvaGunner team must surely know at this point the emotional response that we as fans get from the use of Goodbye to a World - one of the channel's most famous rips from Season 1 used it to such incredible effect, at such a volatile and influential part of the channel's life, that rips using Porter Robinson and Undertale music in conjunction have become a running series of rips in the years since. Even looking past the Season 6 finale's incredible Fusion Collab in tribute to the song and artist, Aphex, Hopes and Divinity+ and Battle Against a True Porter are just some of the many examples of these that I've covered here already. Each one has resonated with us viewers in one way or the other, all calling back to that one Season 1 rip. Goodbye To Love uses that emotional attachment, that anthem of unabashed love for this silly meme channel, and attaches it to the aforementioned long-running joke - mashing up Goodbye to a World with Mr. Lonely for the most befitting finale possible.

I've meant to talk about the purpose and intent of the Circus rips on SiIvaGunner for quite some time, and I'll be getting to that in just a few posts from now - but to keep it simple for this post, rips of Circus from Five Nights at Freddy's allow rippers to completely obfuscate what the joke of the rip is going to be even more than the traditional rips already do. We already came to expect the event was going to have a finale of some sort, but to sneak it into a seemingly unassuming Circus rip, one of literally dozens upon dozens more on the channel, just adds so much more inherently comedy to it all. The mashup's extra lengths to reiterate on its own joke - including the aforementioned monologue from please god let me meet her, adding occasional melody swaps to Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls, changing the "Five Nights at Freddy's" title to say "Zero Nights at Freddy's" halfway through the rip, and so many more details just make it such a deceptively fun listen, when the mashup itself was already genuinely very funny.

And like, it may be because I'm forever on a Sean Kingston high - this is now the fifth rip I'm covering with the meme after Crazy Noisy Beautiful Girls, Beautiful! ~ Curveball of Sean Kingston, Take You To The Desert and Electromeme Adventures, but...it alone just adds so, so much charm to the mashup. If you've recently heard anything of Beautiful Girls outside of the context of SiIvaGunner, it's likely from someone making fun of the absurdity of its lyrics - it is, in literal terms, Sean Kingston singing about how seeing a beautiful woman makes him feel suicidal. That absurdity just makes it such a natural addition to this long-running joke - one that started two whole years before Mr. Lonely and Goodbye to a World first became mainstays on the channel.

I've talked quite a bit about the larger events on SiIvaGunner - in the past few days alone I talked about the King for Another Day Tournament of Season 4 Episode 1 twice over in Unhealed and NIGHTMARESCAPE 〜Unrestrained HyperCam 2〜 (Final Boss Phase 2). Yet these smaller, one-day event are so much fun entirely in their own right - they're able to be focused, perfectly paced, and generally not overstay their welcome, whilst delivering the punchline perfectly with explosively well-done finales. And to all the lonely souls out there this Valentine's Day, rest easy knowing that SiIvaGunner himself is staying just as lonely himself - and it's quite likely that Mr. Lonely is, once again, set to appear in just a few hours on the channel's rips, for yet another year of this dumb running joke.

As for the ‘sona.. to be honest, it’s taken a lot of willpower not to pause the liveblog and make a full fanfiction for her Sburb adventures. 🤣 Guess I need all the Sburb lore to do that, though, and it’s fun to slowly develop her session as we slowly learn how sessions work.

This was my full prediction for Gamzee’s personality, based solely on his username. The guy isn’t exactly a thrill-seeker, but he is a sopor addict with little concern for his health. Once again, these usernames really say a lot.

Yeah, if you actually think about what’s happening in John’s case, you can make an argument that his entry was the most stressful of all. He was the first in, and understood his situation the least, while Rose and Dave at least had the benefit of knowing what an Entry was.

I didn’t think to interpret John’s hesitation to bite the apple as a deer-in-headlights response, but, now that I think about it, that may have been exactly what was happening.

Act 5 has been a great demonstration of dramatic irony. We know all the trolls will end up in the same session, and we know the session is doomed - the only thing we don’t know is how we got to that point.

Why does this feel like something Terezi would actually do?

And yeah, the gradual reveal that all of Terezi’s bizarre behavior with the kids was her actual personality is one of the best and most understated bits in the comic so far.

Terezi would fit really well in the Ace Attorney universe - either as one of the many unhinged human lawyers, or as a straight-up alien in a crossover game.

I honestly feel like Terezi would make a really good lawyer irl, with the proper training. Her mannerisms wouldn’t be a problem if she had talent - and I think she has talent.

Heh. To be honest, the Witch class has always been the one that sounds the coolest to me. Bard and Maid are in joint second place, but I just love the irony of a technically-minded Player getting a mystically-flavored class - just like Jade did, I suppose!

Do you reaelly believe in Liz breens interpretations of which ships are canon? Or other things they said when the show ended? Cause I like Ms. Question and Brent but Ms, Question and LRW 😢

Ooh this is a interesting one. And hey thanks for the question (forgo to say it for the other asks oops).

For context: If you don't know who Liz Breen is, she was one of the writers/associate producers of Wordgirl that interacted with fans back in 2014-15 on Tumblr. She allowed for fans back then to ask her things, mostly about characters and insight about the latest episodes. She confirmed some ships and gives her own thoughts about character interpretation. Of course since the show ended she hasn't been active, but some ppl (me) do remember those post and they're probably archived somewhere. Before the resurgences of the fandom, most in the old times have seen her posts as good insight into what ships are technically considered canon--since she did give the full confirmation about TJ and Johnson being a couple and how it was intentional rep, but of course very low-key. Other ships she said are together were (Brent/Ms.Question) and (Hunter/Victoria).

So. Do I personally take what she says as gospel? Hmm no, not really. And I think that's the point. Yes she was a writer and of course she's going to give her very two-cents about ships and characters and it's going to sound more canon from her, but the thing is, is that Liz always encouraged others to only see it as her interpretation and not the end all be all. Plus this is information said on a Tumblr blog and she even has her own Headcanons that is all her having harmless thoughts on the characters she writes, because yes ppl who even work on a show can do that. And for something like Wordgirl I think canon is something very malleable, I mean some people even have popular OCS that are technically not canon and ppl don't care. I always said Liz's posts are never really supposed to be taken seriously, it's her own thoughts and ideas and one piece of a part fans can have if they want to interpret certain aspects of the show.

As for me like, I will die on the hill that gay TJ is real and so is Tjohnson, since I think not only is that obvious in the show but also c'mon you have to admit it makes his character in the long run make a lot of sense and even saves it. Like I will take that on what Liz said about them, but on other things? Like how DTB is in his 50s or that TJ and Johnson won't last until adulthood? Definitely not(/lh), and again that's the point. You can take one thing but also not at all. Like with Question and Brent, I mean... I personally ship them and I like that they're probably considered canon, but I know a lot don't and that's perfectly fine. Plus at this point with the show being off the air for 8 years (like Undertale's bday lol) I think us fans can like do or create things that don't have to follow canon or ideas said by writers/producers. I mean look at the tobecky community, almost every writer in the crew agrees that there's no way it would happen and hey the community is still alive...I mean we're extremely delusional BUT y'know/lhjjj

So it's really up to anyone and me on what we really want to take as a writer's interpretation, especially one that was doing it for fun.

I love the little changes they’re doing, like how Satoko sees Rika’s 100 years of misery-- Eua forcing her to see it without her asking and all, and her reaction to it-- being WAY more understandable than her reaction in the Anime, which is... hardly. Any at all.

Eua being way more clearly manipulative, too. And how she describes looping for a bit-- testing out in the other fragments, THEN sending her back to the main world to repeat those steps?

That ominous line how not all of the worlds are better than her current one-- I’m so curious. Does that mean she’ll end up experiencing the tragedies herself too? Or something like them?

I just love how Tomato is going about all this, at least as of this chapter. I have-- worries still, but honestly by biggest worry is how Teppei’ll be handled.

I CANNOT actually even talk about him without ranting each time, because each time I think about it, the less sense his turning over a new leaf and situation around it makes sense. He’s not even related?? Like, he’s the brother of Satoko’s stepfather. That’s the connection. AND her abuser. Why does HE get the looper memories first and foremost, in such a profound way?

Like, they seriously cannot try to tell me her abuser, not even related by blood, is closer to her than the fucking club. We DID see Keiichi get some memories, but that ended up not even REALLY being used, or meaning anything, and the rest of the club also got jack shit-- even when it seemed like they SHOULD of remembered SOMETHING. (>looks at Rena)

They literally ONLY used the memory leak for fucking Teppei and to force a new-leaf-turning for him, him of all people. And it still just upsets me since they do that on TOP of Satoko going through her villain arc, and making her a bloody one-note villain at that.

And considering Ryu07 has said things in the past about wanting to make him not the villain or whatever however it was phrased, I just. Currently assume that Tomato will have to follow it, and even if they’ve been doing good changes right now... how in the world do you handle that?

I guess one way to make it seem less egregious is having the club members also remember stuff more and obviously, but even then, I’m just.... hoo boy.

the funny thing about the swimsuit madoka transformation is that, in any circumstance disconnected from magia record the game, I’d think that it looks kinda neat-- maybe it’s the Vocaloid fan in me with how many PV’s are done, but I think the live2d animation is charming

...it’s just the issue is this is in Magia Record, where most all of the transformations are outright anime-esque animated. Even if not all of them are Quality Quality, they’re still like, fully animated

and thus this transformation just feels--- odd.

I actually really like how this new chapter of Meguri was done

Showing how like, clearly broken Satoko was after that basically solitary confinement experience-- Rika actually trying to call out to her, but Satoko reacts... well, gives her a dead look, which I don’t blame her given what she. Thinks happened.

Her not even speaking on the drive being pointed out? Keiichi noticing something’s up? God. Of COURSE they’d notice they were all best friends-- and Keiichi being the big bro surrogate--

and god. Her looking longingly at the group and thinking back to the old days. My heart. I’m so, so so so sad for her...

NOT TO MENTION the fact Eua swooped her up there, at the moment, in that moment of longing. There’s something about that I like WAY more than the weird horn touching thing in the anime?? Like it FEELS way more like Eua grabbing her in her low point, in her moment of pain, of longing, of... just. God.

This is good. This is keeping my hopes up. Tomato, I believe in you to make Satoko’s downward spiral more true to her and not just ‘lets just imply what happens to loopers and not actually Show it in process and just Show her going from how she was to ‘mwahaha imma break rika’ like nothing’

HI HI SO BASCIALLY gaster was the royal scientist of the underground before alphys and he created the core (and it's theorized he might've created sans and papyrus and some other characters too i think?? he was doing some wacky shit in the old labs) and at some point he ended up falling into the core and. dying?? i guess?? there r these eastereggs u can find in the game thru messing around with the files and stuffs that r called gaster followers and they tell u bits and pieces of info about him and one of them says that when he fell in he was shattered across time and space (or something along those lines i can't remember the exact wording) but he still seems to be around just like. in pieces!! and he's hinted at being in deltarune too!!! (i hope and pray every day that he makes a full appearance) there's a hidden place u can get to in ut (thru messing with the files again i think) where it shows wingdings text (which is what gaster talks in) and a specific soundfile plays behind it (ALSO short tangent the sound it uses for his voice is so neat i <3 it.. i've never heard anyone talk abt it but he sounds so cool <3 <3) and that specific soundfile can also be heard very quietly in deltarune if you go to the door to the underground :]]] plus other references to him being really important to deltarune and undertale!! We played Undertale for the first thanks to our boyfriend and our little has really been resonating with Frisk so she got her hair cut (in the innerworld) to match them. They also have been getting into heart imagery as a result. Even if they're not a Frisk fictive, they still really resonate with the game and the imagery of it

It kind of reminded me that alters don't have to stick to one thing their whole life. I don't know about other systems but in ours, I feel like a lot of us are too scared to change aesthetic or things we like or even change as people because we're scared of not being able to recognise ourselves anymore

So to any other systems seeing this, let yourself grow and change. You're allowed to change aesthetic or change what you like or develop as a person. You're allowed to be a person. You're allowed to like or resonate with media without being an introject from it. It's okay. You're still you. You're not betraying who you are or what your role is by letting yourself grow. Let yourself live and have fun a bit

It is looking at something insignificant and making it your own. It is counting the pepples on the ground as you wait for a traffic light to turn green. It is making mistakes and learning from them. It is neighbours helping eachother with small tasks. It is classmates lending pens to eachothers. It is looking at the clouds above and going "Hey that reminds me of something :)". It is creating art out of nothing. It is laughing with your friends. It is strangers exchanging friendly looks. It is children feeding pigeons. Humanity is good :)

My #1 post of 2022

Friendly reminder to all protectors that you're a person too and you're allowed to just exist. You're allowed to front when something non stressful is happening. You're allowed to have hobbies or interests that aren't tied to being a protector. You're allowed to chill and relax a little, you're not stealing time from anyone I promise. You're allowed to cry or be sad or upset, you're not weak or a "bad protector" for doing so. You're a person too. It's great that you protect them but remember, you're not a shield, you're a person. You matter as much as the rest. The world won't end if you let yourself relax and live a little, I promise. You don't have to be strong all the time and I'm sorry if that is your current circumstance though, I promise it gets better. Just let yourself live and be a person. You've already done so much for them. You deserve some breaks and affection too

Thinking about the various entrants of yall-hate-kids-tourney and how much I know them.

Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls) - I watched Gravity Falls back in the day, but I haven't finished it.

Gregory (FNAF) - Haven't really seen much of FNAF

Amy Rose and Tails Nine (Sonic the Hedgehog) - I've played a few spin-off Sonic games when I was a kid, but not enough to be familiar with either character.

Flandre Scarlet (Touhou Project) - I heard of Touhou and once tried level 1 of what may have been the first game and failed to get past it.

Meiling Li (Cardcaptor Sakura) - I saw a YouTube essay about Cardcaptor Sakura, but it didn't talk about Meiling.

Amane Momose (MILGRAM) - I got into MILGRAM in early August, which was just enough time to get hyped over Amane's second song. I will defend her with everything I've got.

Six (Little Nightmares) - Haven't heard of Little Nightmares.

Ken Amada (Persona 3) - I watched Let's Plays of Persona 3 FES, The Answer, and Portable. I like Ken's character, but the YMMV page of TVTropes is so harsh on him...

Carl Grimes (The Walking Dead) - Haven't really heard of the show

Fleta (Pocket Mirror) - Haven't heard of the game

Mary (Ib) - I played Ib back in the day. I got so scared of the doll room that I quit out of the game and asked my friends to help me out. My first ending was the one where Ib and Garry don't remember each other. At the time, there were seven endings and the bonus gallery, and I saw them all.

Jason Todd and Damian Wayne (DC Comics) - I'm not very big on DC, but I did hear about the infamous vote.

Chara Dreemurr (Undertale) - I played Undertale multiple times. I wasn't big on killing, though. The worst I did was empty out all the random encounter areas but spare all the bosses.

Monaca Towa (Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls) - I've watched lots of Let's Plays for the Dangaronpa series and the Anime, but I haven't seen a full LP of the latest spinoff game. UDG was... ...

Bailu and Qiqi (Hoyoverse) - I've *heard* of both of those games but don't know any characters in it.

Eridan Ampora and Vriska Serket (Homestuck) - I have a friend from college who is big on Homestuck, but I don't really look at it.

Maria Ushiromiya (Umineko: When They Cry) - I'm sure one of my friends recommended it to me, but I haven't looked into it.

Marcy Wu (Amphibia) - I heard of Amphibia through the Cartoon Crave awards (I think it was called) but haven't looked into it.

Nagisa Momoe (Madoka Magica) - Vaguely heard of the show

Vincent (Stardew Valley) - Heard of the game

Greg Heffley (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) - I read the first six books before I stopped keeping up with releases. Young me did *not* like Greg. Young me didn't like troublemaker protagonists in general.

Nanami Kiryuu (Revolutionary Girl Utena) - Hadn't heard of the show until someone started talking about it a lot on their blog (*waves*)

Arya Stark and Sansa Stark (A Song of Ice and Fire) - Heard of Game of Thrones but never looked into it.

Aang (ATLA) - Got into it several years late. Pretty cool, tight-knit cast.

Steven Universe - Heard a lot about the show but haven't watched it.

Kaio Kincaid (O.K. KO! Let's Be Heros!) - Haven't heard of it, but the person who submitted it said it *is* niche.

Ray (The Promised Neverland) - Haven't heard of it
