Happy Wednesday Fandom :) We got a trailer! Some bits in is for our couple not a ton but I am intrigued what S6 will bring. This episode has me grinning the entire time. Just fluffy cuteness the entire time and I was so here for it. Kid talks and amazing moments. Good one. This ep Is comedy gold.

5x17 The Enemy Within.

That theme I talked about last ep is how we start off. How adorable they are when they find each other at the station. Lucy speed walking to catch up to him. Tim with the biggest smile on his face. Like he didn’t just see her in roll call earlier. *heart clutch* Just happy to see his wifey at work. I love the effect this woman has on him. (Another theme in this ep). I just love S5 Tim in general. Happy and light seeing her come up to him. Making his day with her presence. Damnit I love them so much. Lucy starting off with him not hating her LMAO His smile dropping off asking what she’s done? Haha

Be more married you too my goodness. I do love how quickly they fall into step with each other as they speak. Seriously never had a couple with such good physical chemistry without even touching. The flirting here is amazing. We watch Tim not really be mad and fighting back a smile in the second gif. Once again the effect this woman has on him is incredible. She is beyond adorable with her retort of how he should reply. We all know Tim could never hate her. Angry, exasperated or annoyed. Yes ha But never hate.

We find out Lucy was playing the long game for getting back at Tim for something. Clearly before they were together since it was for a Tim Test few months back. He wants to know which one? She can't remember...It was bad enough to make her do this but not enough to remember which test. Oh Lucy. lol Angered her enough to do this then forget she'd done it ha Tim asks once again 'What did she do?' Lucy lets him know she signed him up to be a mentor... For make a dream.... Tim is exasperated af asking when she planned this? Lucy dreads the answer but tells him today….

Lucy goes on that a 12 year old cancer patient named Jordy is on his way. Tim walks away from her and I LOVE her grabbing his arm. Making him stay put. Tries to put a good spin on it. Saying he would be lifting up a sick kid. What could be more important than that? Tim commends her for her answer. Telling her nice job boxing him in. Except he’s not going to let her get away with this. Did she really expect him to do this solo? LOL Sassy Tim has arrived and is throwing back her own words at her. Lucy doesn't have a leg to stand on. Just concedes and joins him. Fantastic start to a hilarious episode for them.

Jordy arrives and Tim and Lucy couldn’t be cuter. The way they look at each other is precious. Also hello height difference I always welcome you to our screen. The way Lucy is looking at Tim while he talks to Jordy. Like she needed another reason to be in love with him. Getting glimpses into Tim as a dad. That instant ovary explosion. Don’t blame her one bit.

Tim couldn’t be cuter saying he heard he wants to be a cop. Jordy doesn’t seem as enthused as Tim and Lucy. Nonetheless Tim looks super cute saying they’re going to take him to processing. Lucy’s fully bodied shimmy is so adorable I cannot. She is very excited to play parents with Tim.

They’re in processing and Lucy is trying to get Jordy to engage. Tim isn’t short on sarcasm in this episode. I’m dying it’s so funny. Telling him to look miserable LMFAO. Lucy’s face. Chiding her husband a little bit. But also realizing how unhappy this kid is. Love her walking up to him and sharing her worries as well. Tim noting he looks like he hates them. Lol Lucy doesn’t disagree….Saying maybe he hates his picture being taken? Or he’s miserable cause he’s tired from being sick?

Tim says they should just move onto the next thing then. They turn around and Jordy is gone. Had this kid for all of 20 minutes and they lost him already LOL This episode is so great. Had me rolling the entire time. I remember seeing a hilarious post after this premiered. Celina dealing with her sisters murder, Angela/Harper/Grey dealing with Elijah. And Tim and Lucy keep losing the same kid LMAO They are the comedic relief in this one for sure.

Lucy is in a legit panic. It’s so funny. Saying she doesn’t know what she’s going to tell the foundation. Full on sarcasm saying she can’t wait to tell them they lost him. LOL Tim is so calm and chill. Saying they didn’t lose him... he’s just misplaced LMFAO. Oh my lord Timothy I’m crying I’m laughing so much. She is being the worried sick parent and he’s being the calm one.

I love them looking for Jordy whilst also talking about their future kids. Getting me all in my damn feels. Tim being so friggin chill about them finding him. Lucy saying when it’s ’OUR’ kids OUR. They’re so casual about it. I’m losing my damn mind. That when it is their kids he better take it seriously. Tim defending their future kids also making me feel things. Saying ‘Our’ kids would never pull a stunt like this.

Look at Lucy’s face when he makes that remark though. She is beaming watching him talk about their future kids. They’re trying to murder me in this ep and I’m very ok with it. I may need to go lie down but I’m ok haha Lucy gets caught up in the thought of them having kids. And is pulled back to the present with Tim’s sassy departure LOL Saying they’re doing great so far. Sarcasm king in this one and I love it so very much. Lucy's face when he leaves too funny.

They run into Aaron and he has Jordy. Lucy looks so relieved. She asks what they talked about? Aaron says he kept asking him what his childhood pet was. Lucy looking confused as hell asks why? We see this kid stumble and get nervous for first time. Saying it’s for a report…Tim's face smelling BS but he isn't sure why. They’re trying figure what to do next. Tim suggests the war room? He doesn’t seem excited…Lucy mentions K-9 unit. Ask if he likes dogs?

Tim is over this kid. Saying what kid doesn’t like dogs? (I mean he’s not wrong…) Lucy scolding him like only she can. Such a wifey scolding too it’s so funny. Tim makes the kid sit while they figure this out. Lucy says maybe the impound lot? This is where Uncle Tim comes in and I love it so much. Talking about his nephews and what they’re into right now. My heart. He seems very confused on what it actually is they like and it’s hysterical. Pop culture never been his strong suit and I love him for it. I'll be honest idk what ghosts on the toilet is either. LOL

Lucy is enjoying his explaining this stuff. Amused really. You can tell she’s cracking up as he goes on. Picturing him with his nephews and loving that mental image. They're so busy flirty they don’t see Jordy take off on them again. They turn around and he’s gone….They lost the kid again LMAO Back to being worried parents. They ask the most clueless guy in the building if he’s seen Jordy? Ha Of course he hasn’t…Nolan is lucky he knows what's going on in his own SL.

They’re in Sally Port looking for Jordy. Legit looking under shops. Don’t hate the shot of Tim in this scene. Hello booty shot. His phone starts going off and he groans as he comes back up and says it’s a Grey. Lucy voices her irrational fear about Grey knowing they lost him twice. I’m rolling. Why would he know that Lucy? LOL Tim’s face is everything to this comment of hers. Loves his panicked wife and her ridiculousness.

Lucy is legit pacing back and forth while Tim is on the phone. Grey is asking him to run an OP for him. The last thing Tim needs on his plate right now. It is sexy how he coordinates it and says he’ll fold in later. Mmm. Then asks Lucy if she’s enjoying her revenge for his Tim Test? Lucy says she isn’t... Does a cute little love tap on his arm and has him follow. I love it.

They find Jordy at a computer. Tim scares him and asks what the hell he’s doing? I love the in-sync head tilts. They see he is googling how to delete traffic tickets. Lucy goes off on a nerd rant about how those are processed in a different office. She catches herself and looks at Tim. He’s so used to her nerdy ways at this point doesn't phase him in the least.

Just backs what she’s saying. That even if he could do that here it’s a crime to do so. Poor kid folds. Says his dad told him to because they couldn’t afford the fines. Tim asks if he really has cancer? Lucy scolds him once again. I love this. He tells them yes that part is true. Lucy asks if he wants to be a cop? He says no they’re wack. Lmao The way the look at each other I cannot. The kid wanted a football game not this. HA

Tim mentions if he’s googling this no way he’s a a hacker. Asks how he gained access to the computer? Jordy hands him the sticky note. Tim is so damn incensed I’m dying. Lucy asking did Smitty really need a sticky note? He couldn’t just remember this? I love the way Tim snatches the note and takes off. He is so very done with this day and this kid. Smitty's incompetence being the icing on the cake of his day. This episode is comedy gold I love it sfm.

They bring Jordy’s father in. Telling him they could charge Jordy with a crime. That he had illegal access to a police computer. The dad starts to panic and says they can’t do that. He’s just a kid. He has cancer. Lucy says no one wants to charge Jordy. Him on the other hand… Mr. Yates starts to freak out more. Saying it was just couple tickets. Lucy mentions it’s 37....

Holy crap dude that’s a lot of tickets. That him using his son. A minor no less to help out makes it a felony. One that could send him to jail. The dad pleads with them. Saying his medical costs are crushing them. That if he doesn’t pay for the tickets he’ll lose his license and car. Saying he knows he messed up. He can’t go to jail his family needs him.

Then we hit one of my favorite portions of this episode. Their silent communication has always been a glorious wonder. It hits new heights in this scene. Because the minute he looks at his girl he knows what that look means. It’s why he answers with a ‘Lucy really?’ He goes from you can’t be serious. To how am I supposed to say no to that? Lucy doesn’t have to say a damn word.

That’s the beauty of their connection. Says everything she needs to in that puppy dog look. Man is whipped and we all love it. Her empathy shining through and getting to Tim in this moment. I said it couple times in this episode. The effect this woman has on him is immense. It was continuously through out this one. In the best way possible.

That man has zero defense against that look she gives him. Absolutely zero. Can you imagine a little version of Lucy doing this to him? If they end up having a daughter. She’s gonna have this man wrapped around her finger. Just like his wife does. God help him haha All Lucy had to do was give him that glance and he was in shambles. As we all know Tim would do anything for that woman standing next to him.

He came into this conversation ready to put that man in jail. But then the love of his life looks his way and it’s over. I’ll never be over how amazing their silent communication is. We are so lucky to have a couple this amazing without even saying a word. There’s that country song ‘You say it best. When you say nothing at all.’ If that ain’t them. Tim folds and says he’s not sending Mr. Yates to jail. I love how he looks at Lucy before he tells him that. Knowing she is the reason behind him is doing this.

It’s so good. Man is so soft for his girl and this scene is proof of that. Ugh I love it. Melissa’s and Eric crushing it per usual. Tim says he can go to Daddy and me Traffic school. There’s an arcade that Jordy will love it. As if Lucy needed another reason to love this man next to her. Mr. Yates asks how he can make it up to them? ‘Be a better father to your son’. Hot damn you tell him Tim.*fans self* Mmm. Yum. Got to be soft but still little authoritative at the end. I’ll take it.

We rejoin them in the station. Tim done with his OP for Grey. Lucy coming over mentioning his how Daddy and me traffic school sounds fun. Tim replying 'Yeah Jordy will get 5 dollars in tokens too.' Lucy letting him know it was a really nice gesture. I love her coming up to him and letting him know this. Making sure he knows what a wonderful thing he did for them. That it was so sweet. This scene makes me squee for so many reasons.

Tim letting her know he wanted to throw that guy in jail. You could tell when he entered that room he was ready to throw down. It wasn't sitting well with him Yates putting his son in a position like that. Lucy replying ‘But?’ Tim bestowing the best compliment he could on her. Touching on the theme of this episode I think. The fact she’s a good influence on him. I mean it exudes out of him now a days. She already was before they got together. Now it’s increased ten fold the effect Lucy has on him.

Lucy and her view of the world. A thing that used to drive him absolutely bonkers. So much so he tried to show her the underbelly of L.A. to dampen it. That same light and view has now rubbed off on this man. Soaking him in that sunshine she gives off. I can’t with how many feels this is giving me. And he’s telling her as such. He’s known for a long long time what a good influence she is. But he’s telling her in person. With heart eyes galore to boot. Such love and admiration on his face for her. *internally screaming*

Naturally he complimented her so she needs to do one right back. Telling him with just as much adoration and affection might I add. That he’s going to be a great dad someday. We know that’s true. Also we know Lucy is already picturing him as that great father to their kiddos. I just love how causally they talk about their future kids. It’s a thing that’s just an eventuality. The level of comfortability around the topic just shows us where they're at. How serious they both are.

Tim needing to tease her now that they’ve been soft. It’s so damn funny. Look at his pleased smile when he does it. Look at that man in the final gif. Could power a city with that smile. He so loves to tease her. Lucy is exasperated with him but still smiling regardless. She loves this infuriating man in front of her so much.

They couldn’t be happier or more adorable. It blows my mind still we get to have them together. Not only that but this level of ship goodness. Straight flirting, complimenting and teasing. They’re so in love I might pass out from all my feelings haha Such a good ep for them.

I hope you don't mind but I'm about to tell you about my first impressions of The Cabinet of Dr Caligiri, since youre practically the ambassador for it at this point:

Came from the Bigtop Burger random and heard talk of Cesare being inspired by tcodc, so I browsed the tcodc tag for a bit and made some assumptions.

-I thought that Cesare WAS dr Caligiri since he's on the main poster + they're both italian names. So I thought he was Dr. Cesare Caligiri, from Italy.

-I also didn't know what a somnambulist was so I just assumed it was a doctor specialising in sleep. And I also guessed since everyone called him a sleepwalker, that he was doing a bunch of experiments on himself which made him sleepwalk, or got into the "somnambulism" profession to try and find a cure for his sleepwalking.

-These experiments made him kill? I just ran with it and hoped there was context in the original movie lol. I also assumed that nobody accused him since he was such a sweet heart and that's how he got away with it. +he had no memory of it lol.

-I saw some art from flypanegg where Cesare sleepwalks into Francis' room while an asylum caretaker escorted him out. Didn't realise they were in an asylum and thought they were just in a hotel.

- So I assumed that Dr Cesare Caligari was abroad somewhere (maybe at a scientist meet up since I thought Francis was from France or something?), that in the movie he accidently sleepwalked into Francis's room and had who I assumed was Cesares work assistant escort him back.

- So, my idea was Dr Cesare Caligari goes on a trip to a different country and stays in a hotel called Holstenwall?, where he tries out a couple new experiments on himself, which causes him to stir from his sleep and murder. Francis is still the protagonist and he tries to expose Dr CC as the murderer but literally no one believes him, meanwhile awake Cesare is constantly trying to befriend Francis who is terrified of him. Jane's there too I guess??Also it's a horror comedy now. I did not have enough info to guess what happened next so thats all that I could gleen from it.

It was only when i found your blog that i actually found out what the plot/characters were. I think you posted a link to the actual movie and that's where I first saw it lol, and that was a few weeks after I knew what was going on. Lmao even.

I love the weirdly cursed idea of morally decent caligari. who is also cesare. and I love how we went from “caligari experimented on cesare” to “caligari and cesare are the same person, who was experimenting on himself”. absolute gold

also you’re not the first one to confuse cesare and caligari lmao; one of my friends saw a picture of caligari and was like, “wait, I thought caligari was the hot one!”

on another note it’s really funny to me how only two characters in the entire film have both first and last names? jane’s last name is olsen, and the other murderer guy who tries to kill an old lady is named “jakob straat” in the original screenplay. why are a side character and a minor character the only ones with full names? I have no idea

After reading your posts involving Allen it made me curious about what you think about Skye because regarding hm bachelor's he's always been one that people either really hate or love

honestly i never played ds (as much as i really want to, but i should probably finish ttott/si/gab before i start another game 😭) so i don't exactly have any strong opinions on skye one way or the other....but i can say he doesn't give off the same vibe allen does at ALL. in fact based on the events i've seen i think he's fucking hysterical. he really radiates the energy of your average "mysterious suave bad boy womanizer" from literally any other early 2000s media and then 20 years later you look back at that hunk of a man you fell for at 13 and realize he is the biggest fucking LOSER to ever exist. i absolutely love that for him.

gonna be real for a sec, but i promise i'll get back to skye lol- i honestly totally understand why some people like allen, and i hold nothing against them as long as they aren't actively trying to defend that aspect of his character (and yes, i have actually seen someone do that before...huge red flag yall). i see where they're coming from, too, i think allen's line about your cow dying was hilarious and i think i would've LOVED him as a character if they just... didn't make him a raging misogynist AHHSDHHFHASHD

allen has some funny ass dialogue on a surface level and the bewilderment you get from finding out about it is definitely hysterical. but the fact that its a real thing that real people do unironically just,,, isn't something i can look past LMAO. to me it's like.... rewatching icarly in the modern day. its funny and the shock factor is entertaining but you have to take a break from watching eventually bc otherwise after a while it just Hurts.

skye on the other hand....absolutely nothing he does is threatening at all. he just seems like hes trying too fucking hard. nothing he does is something any real person would do if they had at least 3 functioning braincells.

and the fucking.... "chick beam"........the way he can supposedly make women stop in their tracks for a good 30 seconds by yelling it out like it's an anime special attack.....the way it's literally NEVER explained or elaborated on at all....that is comedy gold. that's classic harvest moon to me.

unlike allen skye doesn't make me feel like he'd call me a homophobic slur. do you think the chick beam determines off of one's sex assigned at birth or just what skye assumes (or knows) someone's gender to be? i feel like if skye met a trans woman he'd be like "oh, you ARE a lady, then? well in that case, i suppose today is my lucky day😊" and then he'd fire his chick beam at you and steal your wallet and run away

Heiji using paikaru as a remedy for sickness will always remain comedy gold. I have no idea how he got a hold of it, I don't remember if it's mentioned. But I like to think that it was just around his house, maybe it was Heizo's or something, and he just- took it. "I need a present for when I get to Tokyo" I want to think that it was a present for Kogoro too, because he just appeared out of nowhere and bothered them with Shinichi's search.

But did he plan to go to their house from the very beginning then...? or was it just something that came up after doing some investigating and finding out Ran was Shinichi's "girlfriend" and someone he could ask her questions about his location? Because if that's the case then who was the alcohol really for? It couldn't have been Kogoro because he didn't know beforehand that he would visit him. So.... For Shinichi? Lmao Did he plan on celebrating together with him when he found him?

Idk maybe I’m the only one but unpopular opinion: Fontaine is kinda ass

I’d like to preface this with: I love the exploration, after like 3 fucking updates of desert the underwater exploration was a breath of fresh air. Also seeing (virtual) grass again!!!!!! The enemies weren’t bad either, kinda sad seeing tainted hydro eidolons after the event but they’re fun to fight.

My problem is with Fontaine’s archon quest(s) plus Fontaine in general.

First: the justice system, maybe I’m taking this too seriously but it’s just bad world building like they kinda were just accusing people with zero evidence/assumptions and the trials were basically turned into a show??? Plus the people’s general opinion contributed to the sentencing even though they didn’t have all the facts. Also just the blind faith in the oratrice really pissed me off, like it’s a machine and no one even questioned if it was possibly tampered with or even checked??? I understand that the public trials are public bc focalors was stockpiling that energy stuff but the entire thing just feels like a macguffin. Also I hate prophecy storylines ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fortress of Meropide: honestly very boring, there really was no reason for traveler to be there other than to continue the plot. The last bit where before wriothesley reveals the big ship and he asks you to put the evidence together is so stupid bc Paimon literally just recaps all of it after you ‘put it together’ like what was the point then??? Just wasting my time. We don’t even get to see Childe or know wtf happened with him!!

Masquerade of the Guilty: just a lot of yammering and rehashing stuff we already knew or stuff that was easily predictable, sliver/melus death was obvious, already knew/predicted fontainians were oceanids, skirk reveal was disappointing; why they made her look like a teenager beats me plus the unoriginality of her design kinda ruined my excitement for her (someone was definitely playing hsr before putting her together) don’t get me wrong some of her design is cool, I like her hair and the geometric leg stuff she’s got going on is awesome but please hoyoverse stop giving us adults in child bodies. I did like that we find out more about the gnosis/gnoses/gnosi(?) and some hints at abyss/gold/khaenriah but having to slog thru the quests just to get a little tidbit of info was ahhhh

Overall the archon quests disappointed me and it’s sucks bc hoyoverse really raised my expectations with sumeru’s archon quest (which was amazing) but tbh the Fontaine world quests are pretty good

The Fontaine research institute quest is silly and fun(and really shows how incompetent Fontaine is((they managed to blow up the same place twice lmao)). Mamere’s quest + unfinished comedy(not my fav and I do have some things to say about it but ultimately I love caterpillar) + narzissenkreuz ordo is such a journey and it gives a little bit of everything: exploration, lore etc.

Anyways rant over, sorry for grammar and what not. Also this is just my opinion!! I do not care if you disagree with me bc it is just a game!!! I love genshin impact just hopefully they do something different with Natlan bc idk if I can sit thru another looooong string of quests like that.

CRASH AND BURN: remember how mia doesn’t date actors ?? this plot is why . they’re exes that ended on bad terms with lingering feelings . this was just a crazy hot and cold relationship that the whole world was obsessed over tbh . when it was hot , it was fucking hot . when it was cold ? damn . hell itself could freeze over . they probably have done & said a lot of nasty , nasty shit to each other ( and maybe to the press too ? ) . at the same time , they could’ve been literally planning their wedding at some point because they both were incredibly serious about each other .

THE ROMANTIC BAD INFLUENCE: this plot is another messy piece of trash . from the beginning , when they first met , mia always thought your muse was too good to be true . she felt this sense of peace with him . she fell in love quickly but at the same time , felt like there was something looming over their relationship . like it wasn’t permanent . like it’s all just a dream . i see your muse bringing out edgier sides of mia’s personality . they party a lot , they influence mia to do crazy things with them and she does and she feels so alive . that is , until , it all crumbles . the facade is destroyed and whatever it was that your muse wasn’t being upfront about shatters the way she feels for your muse entirely . she feels betrayed .

BFFS NO MORE: this is my last long plot idea i promise sdjncdfv . basically this is a ton shit of angst too bc these two used to be inseparable . that was until things went south . fast . we can discuss what it was that happened between them but it was something huge and preferably something where they both could stubbornly blame each other , which explains why your muse went on to bad mouth and spill all the secrets out in the press , all while mia bit her tongue and tried to take the high road ( but its hard , oh so hard ... )

CHILDHOOD FRIEND: it would be cute if there was another child star so they could bond over their weird ass lives so they could just be normal together . and i’d love if they were still close to this day :’-)

GOOD INFLUENCE: someone that encourages all her good habits and makes sure that she stays on track to succeed in life . they’d be greatly appreciated and mia would probably shower them in love bc they help her out so much

these early wandering scenes are really nice. lighthearted and peaceful, and probably quite enjoyable for a wwx whose last memories were of grief and pain and exhaustion and stress and persecution

reminds me - wwx was crying last episode when jc came to kill him. he might have smiled a bit, but he seemed so resigned to the fact that jc hated him but when jc told him to go and die he started crying. it was so fucking sad

the most brilliant mind of his generation on coaxing a donkey to walk...

you know this was 😬 but wwx has tremendous bad luck here because how was he supposed to know? saying something slightly rude is now punishable by death because of the context. but wwx made an honest mistake! also jl was being extremely arrogant and aggressive

I don't agree with either wwx or lwj's methods here but jc being extremely aggressive and mean and critical of jl is really not helping his emotional development either. fuck, if a parental figure treated me like that I'd act out too

wwx is also kind of harsh to the kids lmao and then jingyi is like 'hgj is going to KILL us 😭' which is very funny given what we've seen of lwj so far (he's very calm and gives them support, info, and encouragement) esp compared to the anger, critiques and unhelpful demands of jc. like, I don't doubt he's disciplined juniors but we never seen anything harsh from him so what is jingyi even referring to? I don't count the handstands as cql canon btw I think it's absurd

comedy scenes of all time. to me. the anti-chemistry is palpable

it's so so funny to see Those jc fans rewrite this episode like 'jc was looking for wwx the entire time 🥺 they're brothers' when it's so starkly apparent that jc was clearly extremely angry the entire time, told jl to kill wwx before learning his identity, told jl repeatedly that all dc's like wwx should be killed and fed to the dogs, and then immediately tried to expel him from mxy's body (kill him again) after learning his identity. buddy I don't think he's at the point in his journey you think he is

he's also really rude and demanding of his disciples...I was wondering how he was with them bc I didn't remember and the answer is, not surprisingly, pretty harsh. well...at least he's involved?

the editing on this was SO funny. cut from wwx asking this to this statue, far in the distance, chasing after these tiny figures of cultivators. way to sap the drama out of a shot

REUNION SHOT!!!!! the tension building between them and FINALLY having them meet is just MWAH. and wwx grabbing lwj's arm afterwards is still one of my favorite little things bc wwx doesn't actually do that very often! it's nice to see him reach out to lwj almost on instinct when it's usually lwj reaching out and trying to connect with him instead. the romance in these first two episodes. ugh. delicious

actually I have been WAITING for a chance to talk about him...

[Not Spoiler-Free. Long Post, under the cut]

First Impression: Not great.. Mostly just because the episode tried SO hard to present him as evil when he's probably the least problematic character in the entire series. Honestly for the majority of the episode I was worried it was gonna be revealed he was.. Well, trying to kill them. Or doing something more sinister with his food

(WHY did he take Okuyasu's ball of skin into the kitchen with him?? please?? I'm sure he threw it away but at the time it was such a weird moment lmao)

Impression Now: Literally love him. I rewatch the episode he appears + the Mikitaka ones as a comfort when I'm upset because I find their characters so soothing. His gentle smile?? His complete, genuine want only to help and feed people?? Considering nearly every minor character seems out to murder the main cast he (and alot of others) was a nice change of pace

Plus like?? Genuinely his goal is really sweet. That's ALL he wants. To help and heal and feed people. No ulterior secret motive, no evil plotting with his food like presented.. He was so overjoyed when he found people with abilities like his, too. Warms my heart. But also some of his moments are legit comedy gold. Making Josuke do manual labor for coming in there with unclean hands.. I would die for this guy

Unpopular Opinion: Uhh what counts. I don't know I have NOTHING bc ive never seen anything controversial about him but. I think we deserved some more screentime. It's rare we get a truly good character

Favourite Relationship: Sad case of minor character syndrome yet again. No on-screen relationships and if I'm being honest I.. Barely remember other side media that he appeared/was mentioned in (thus spoke kishibe rohan, phf). Or atleast those parts he was shown/mentioned in. It's been a while. but while I do barely remember, his brother Massimo.. The whole thing with their stands being opposite in function but roughly the same in other ways.. punching the air crying.

Favourite Headcanon: I like to think that post-DIU Okuyasu was inspired by him and attempted to learn to cook in the same way, for his father and friends etc.. And possibly learned from him for a while since he was prone to hanging out in that restaurant so often. I don't know I think the concept of him teaching Okuyasu to cook even just a little is cute. Obviously he allows people in the kitchen (kindof) so. Why Not. I want them to be happy. God let them be happy. Araki is so cruel

Yakuza 3 review

I heard that this is one of the least popular games in the series. As it’s one of the oldest games I can see why. It’s also fairly short while also poorly paced. I still enjoyed it but less so than that other games. I have heard it was rushed though

It’s nice to see Kiryu happy and living his dream

Another great soundtrack, some gems here (clay doll on the cradle is my face)

I actually don’t mind Kaoru’s departure. Kind of refreshing to see a female character choose a career over romance (she was shown to be ambitious) and her fling with Kiryu really seemed like a ‘heat of the moment’ thing than a real relationship. I hear it’s because her VA was a nightmare though. But I wasn’t too bothered with this

Okinawa is a nice change of pace and easy to get around (it took my 3 games to know my way round Kamurocho lmao)

Rikiya and co grew on me.

Pretty brutal combat, smashing people’s teeth out and shit

Has the best gun based boss in the series with Andre Richardson. Actually LIDL own brand Wesker one of the best Big Bads in the whole series.

The Kanda love hotel fight is comedy gold

Holy fuck people were not exaggerating with the BLOCKUZA jokes. Having some low level mooks block my every move did not make me feel like the dragon of Dojima.

Looks dated and feel dated. They did what they could I guess but I think this game could do with the Kiwami treatment.

At this point, 4 games in, I’m starting to see re-used tropes.

The plot here is messy, though I kind of preferred it over 3 for several reasons. I’ll go into what I made of it:

It’s nice to see Daigo trying to help Kiryu (He tries, he really does) but why not just relocate that orphanage? They build it back in no time when Mine wrecks it so couldn’t he just ask kiryu to move? He needs the cash.

The whole resort/military base thing needing each other was confusing tbh.

The super secret place Kahiwagi stowed Daigo? The hospital. Damn, they’ll never find him there.

Nakahara and co. are nice, but why do we never see them again?

Why would Kazama never mention his CIA operative twin to Kiryu?

So it turns out Joji never actually shot anyone, just that big meanie Andre while Joji just stood there shaking his head in disapproval presumably.

The CIA couldn’t tell that the head of the evil Black Monday was pretending to be a CIA agent?

Kiryu howls in manly pain for poor aul rikyia who he knew for a year, but gets over the death of his mentor/brother figure Kashiwagi in like a minute. And was machine gunning Kashiwagi really necessary?

Mine’s whole ‘I ❤ DAIGO’ thing comes across a bit psycho-esque. He’s cartoonishly evil, demolishes an orphanage for fucks sake. And his reason for going wild are odd. Daigo’s only been in a coma for a few days and he wants to put him down like a lame horse? He’s not even in ICU, he’s hardly a ‘tangle of tubes’, doesn’t even have a dripstand, just an oxygen mask. Reminds me off that scene in the simpsons when Barney tries to smother homer in hospital when he’s actually fine. Plus he sells out to Black Monday for more money cos of some dumb bullshit about real brotherhood or something. He seems to be more popular in japan so I checked out some of his RGG online stories and he comes across as obsessive over Daigo, which seems one sided. I can’t tell if he’s actually gay for Daigo. There are plenty of very close platonic male friendships in this series but his doesn’t seem that way.

While I never really got into Mine, I really liked Andre as a villain. His plans aren’t the convoluted mess like the other ‘real’ baddies. He just wants to steal some missiles for money. He is so aggressively American that it’s just funny. Blond, tall and blue eyes, refuses to speak Japanese despite understanding it, his silly phrases ‘ah shit’ and ‘go to hell’, giving up on hand to hand combat and just pulling out a glock. Also his white guy entourage looks like they were rounded up outside an office building in Birmingham. His boss fight is actually fun as he doesn’t block as much. His gun doesn’t constantly knock you on your ass like in Kiwami. Gets his ass handed to him by a guy coming out of a coma and completely ruins Mine’s dramatic speech with his his whining ‘let me go’ ‘wah’ ‘stop it’. Also I got last samurai’d on my playthrough as I hadn’t bought any healing items in Okinawa so the Andre and co killed me in that surprise fight. Overall, great villain.

I can see the issues with this game but it was still enjoyable. Some people might even enjoy the slice of life stuff in Okinawa but I resented how I was forced into it, especially when I wanted to get going to Tokyo for the rest of the story. Plus I can suspend belief for Kiryu’s nonsense when it’s a substory, but it seems silly when I’m looking for dogfood when Daigo is comatose in the main section. Goofiest plot so far but the cool villain redeemed it a bit. And it’s nice that Daigo got a badass moment, even if shortlived, he takes a lot of L’s in this series.So it was ok, but I can see why people are less enthusiastic about this one.

4. List of top five movies I watched this year:

There is no ranking in this list because I cannot do that but here we go. The fact that I struggled for a good 30 minutes with this says a lot about me watching the same movie over and over again instead of branching out lmao

Zootopia. Discovered it about a month ago maybe, watched it like 20 times in the meantime.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Almost forgot that came out this year, Jesus. But I enjoyed it a lot. Went to the cinema for it, too. It was a wild experience.

Tick Tick Boom! It’s at this point that I realise I don’t watch a lot of movies. But I loved this one. I adore Andrew Garfield, he’s amazing.

La grande vadrouille. It’s an older French comedy about WWII. Touchy subject but very well-made and also incredibly funny. I always watch it together with my mom because it’s a comfort movie for both of us, and I genuinely love it so so much.

The Addams Family. It’s not my favourite movie but I watched it with my best friend and they quoted the movie the entire time which made it a really fun experience and I enjoyed every bit of it. I also need you to know that I STRUGGLED with finding five movies because god what have I been doing all year

10. My personal song of the year:

Another hard question DAMN LMAO uhm uhm. Is it like a song I listened to a lot or a song I loved listening to or a song that sums up my year or..? I’ll go with Fool’s Gold by Niall Horan, specifically that version. Didn’t know it existed before, listened to it on repeat a bunch of times. Love it every single time.

19. Month that was the most fun:

I replied to Evie as well for this and said April or May because of hiking. Related to the hiking, I’ll say August too! Because I did a little hiking trip then. It sounds really silly but I just loved hiking to the top of a mountain and witnessing nature at its finest, and befriending literally every animal (cow, goat, sheep, horse (including a baby horse), cats, dogs) on the way. I’m very fond of nature and animals and it does make me happy thinking back on it because I enjoyed it a lot and needed a getaway at that point during the year

✨ One Piece Timeskip Redesigns! ✨

My last art of 2020 went off with a bang! I’ve been working on these for a while and they’re finally ready to share. I thought it might be fun to concept designs for the crew with more influence from the islands they were sent to! They ended up a lil costume-y, but I like that too.

Read below for flavour text/design notes or just enjoy the art!

LUFFY: I wanted him to have “King of the Pirates” vibes! His hooded cape/mantle is inspired by the coats Shanks and Roger wore, but less cumbersome, mixed with the Kuja’s capes. The design on the back is Ace’s comedy/tragedy drama masks in the shape of Sabo’s goggles, inside angel wings. He can store things inside the sash. The golden snakes around his ankles can expand with him (the tail comes out of the mouth, like a bangle). The Kuja women made his clothes for him!

ZORO: Not a whole lot to say here except he forgot how normal people dressed while he was on Kuraigana LOL. His design is a mix of European and East Asian vampire lore and he just keeps... losin limbs lmao. With all his prominent scars he really does look undead!! This was the first design I came up with and it’s what made me want to do all the others!

NAMI: She’s a Weather Witch! The old men on Weatheria were scandalised by her short hair and tattoos so she... got shorter hair, and another tattoo. Her second tattoo is a four-pointed star inside a ship’s wheel/compass, to represent where she’s going, because her old tattoo represents where she came from. Her hair is also obviously inspired by Bellemere! Her suit is a swimsuit so she’s ready for any weather, and her hood opens up into a giant witch/rain hat. The moons on her shoes are skate-model wavers and can retract up around her ankles when she’s not using them. Combined with her (canon) “milky road” abilities, she can use them with her Clima-Tact to “fly” across clouds!

USOPP: He basically leveled-up in running away, so he kinda fights parkour-style now. His gloves and shoes are made by dipping his hands/feet in natural tree rubber sap so they give him excellent grip. He has little bands between his index & middle fingers he can use as slingshots in a pinch. He KEPT HIS ORIGINAL GOGGLES BECAUSE WHY WOULD HE ABANDON THEM, ODA?? even though he ahd to repair them a few times. The multiple watches keep track of the island’s time cycles and vibrate to alert him rather than make any sound. His coat of leaves provides camouflage, and he can also inflate it along with a birdcall whistle to look like a giant owl and scare off predators!

SANJI: What if Sanji went to Gender Island and realised all masculinity is performative so he came back a drag king I wanted to lean harder into his “waiter > chef” pre-TS design elements. His vest is backless and has more heart shapes at the back lmao. He leaves heart-shaped stamps on people when he kicks them

CHOPPER: Chopper was hard because I think his post-TS design is perfect already BUT! He got the little capelet and the feather from the people/birds of Torino kingdom. The swirls are from Hiluluk’s coat lapels! His doctor bag is actually a little backpack.

ROBIN: ............... ma’am She’s a fantasy/video-game-archeologist mixed with a sleek, modern super spy. She uses the harnesses to lift/hoist herself around by her own hands, using her devil fruit power instead of ropes, Mission Impossible style. She uses throwing knives even though her accuracy isn’t that great because she’s basically just gonna pick them up with one of her flower hands and stab the target close-range anyway.

FRANKY: I actually like that he’s a big messed up robo post-TS LMAO I just think he would love Vegapunk’s chimera designs. He’s sort of a griffon/manticore fusion with obvious inspiration from the Sunny, which he can probably mecha-fuse with somehow now. The paw pads can pop out of the gloves and act like smaller hands for more delicate stuff, just like his canon design. Robin is a big fan of squishing them. Gas from his cola chamber fuels powerful hydraulic attacks! (He can still do the nipple beam :/)

BROOK: Brook was hardest because I couldn’t change that much about his original design, but I lke the result! His skull cracked all the way through (probably excited groupies) so he welded it back together with gold (kintsugi). It can actually swing open like a purse, though, so he can store stuff in it, and his two gold teeth act as the clasp. His collar is an inverted violin, and his outfit is themed around ghost ships. The soles of his shoes are sabaody technology that make his foosteps silent. His cane-sword is now also a mic!
