I think the Ratiorine fandom really moved on too fast from the fact that Hoyo chose "charming audacity" and "dear gambler" as the first words players would hear from Ratio to Aventurine. Not the second scene. Not the third. The very first sentence players ever hear between those two.

And you know what, we also moved on much too quickly from the next scene too. Ratio was the one to start the whole "Aventurine is a peacock" thing. Why are you sitting around thinking about what alien animals your coworker reminds you of, Veritas? The joke is supposed to be that peacocks are noisy, but then they just drop that like a hot rock so the camera can do a slow pan on Aventurine's chest and Ratio can comment on Aventurine's clothing choices. Since when does Dr. Ratio care what people wear? Why were you looking?! Fellas, is it gay to compare your partner in crime to the symbol of male beauty???

Yeess I'm not dead!! I somehow survived the year and during it I kinda realized that social media is quite... exhausting.. so I stepped away from the pressure of constantly having to create stuff for a bit.

I think I can come back now but still need to think how I'm going to change some things around here to make the hobby of posting more fun for me again!

I haven't drawn that much but I have a few things :3 For example my little vampire wasp pilot boy <3 I designed him around 2 years ago for Halloween and drew him this year again

I should have my old written down ideas for him somewhere.

- Kisses the back of your neck a lot, usually when you’re doing something or in your own world

- He does it to remind you he’s there

- Tries to get your attention a lot, he’s pretty insecure sometimes

- LOVES to praise and be praised, especially the latter (Again, he’s pretty insecure)

- He usually finds someway to touch you, like playing with your hair or holding your hand

- Gets jealous REALLY easily, but he’s gotten good at hiding it

- He doesn’t try to separate you from others, but he does make up excuses for you to spend time together

- He’ll pretend to be sick to get your attention, nine times out of ten he’s healthy, he just wants to give you a reason to take care of him

- On a related note, he will take care of you when you’re sick, but he gets really paranoid that it’s the worst case scenario, so he’ll be extremely attentive to you. He doesn’t care that he might catch what you have, he’ll cuddle up in bed with you because he’s paranoid about something happening to you.

- Will most definitely kill for you if he hasn’t already. You might not want him to but he doesn’t really care. His philosophy is “No one hurts my soulmate, no one.” You might never find out if he does, he’s good at hiding things.

The sexism that bsd has Atsushi see Yosano face in the beginning of the series (when Yosano takes Atsushi shopping and Kyouka is introduced) is actually genius. It lets Asagiri blend together both irl Yosano and bsd Yosano, as irl Yosano was a feminist.

Also rereading this part after knowing her backstory is absolutely gut-wrenching because her anger at Kajii for not understanding the value of life is AHHHHHHHHH The foreshadowing for her goes so fucking hard.
