Headcanuary Day 12: Religion

They were raised as devout Worshippers of the Watcher. (Also known as Watcherians.) The Watcherians believe that the Watcher (for non-Simmers out there, that's the player) is always watching, always judging. They may grant Sims their every desire and take good loving care of them, or They may cause chaos and destruction. So these Sims strive to appease the Watcher. Another big thing: they do not like Occult Sims like vampires, werewolves, aliens, mermaids, or even plantsims. Why? Because they believe these are the embodiments of the Dark Side of the Watcher, the aspect of the Watcher they try to avoid. There are different sects of Watcherians, each with their own rules and practices, but the one Caleb and Lilith were raised in is probably most analogous to Evangelical Christianity in practice.

To this day, they can recite passages from the Watcherian Holy Book from memory.

Books and movies deemed to be unsuitable for Worshippers of the Watcher (usually, books and movies about Occult Sims) were forbidden in their home.

Every meal began with saying grace. They've each gotten a light smack on the wrist/hand for grabbing a roll prematurely, and Lilith got sent to her room for leading the prayer with "Rub a dub-dub, thanks for the grub!" While the pastor and his wife were visiting, no less. He visited a lot, because he was friends with their dad.

They also prayed a Simlish version of "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" each night before bed.

They were almost always at some event at their church/temple thing. Whether that was weekly worship service, Holy Book Study, youth group, Sunday School, or some social event or other.

They asked a lot of questions. They weren't always satisfied with the answers. Most of the time, the answer was, "Read the Holy Book!" or "It's because you lack faith." Neither of which satisfied Caleb and Lilith.

They were troubled by the idea of a Watcher who supposedly loved them beyond all measure, but would, if they weren't perfect, torture them for all eternity. Or even just drown them in the pool.

They were taught about woohoo in Sunday School. Namely, "Don't do it until you're married to someone of the opposite sex, or else you'll be like chewed gum. If you even think about woohoo before marriage, you'll anger the Watcher, and you'll ruin yourself for your Future Spouse."

On the subject of woohoo, there was a turning point in their faith journey. Maybe not the turning point, if there could be said to be one, but a turning point. They had gone to Granite Falls with Lily and her parents, and their pastor and his wife, when they were teens. The men went fishing, the women set up the picnic table. Caleb needed to pee, so he used a tall bush with purple heart-shaped flowers, and he thought no more of it. When he was done, the pastor jumped in for a little woohoo sesh (not caring that just moments ago, someone peed in it). Caleb heard rustling in the bushes, and turned around to see the bush he'd just used not that long ago shaking, followed by the pastor poking his head out. But the woman he stepped out of the shrubbery with was not his wife: she was, in fact, barely older than Caleb and Lilith. She had been in youth group until she aged up not that long ago. (Hey, whatever happened to "Woohooing outside of a legally-defined heterosexual marriage is wrong?" and whatever happened to "The Watcher doesn't like it when we're gross?")

Between the forbidden questions and the "Do as I say, not as I do," Caleb and Lilith grew disillusioned and pulled away from the Watcherians. Edward wasn't happy about this.

Get to know a simmer

Okay, soooo I was tagged by @silentsundown (thank you so so much for tagging me, I really love to talk, ramble and even most of the time overshare on this blog, so thank you! I really appreciate you tagging me, I hope you're having a really nice time of the day!! 💗)

1. What’s your favourite sims death?

Meteorite death in The Sims 3, definitely! And maybe werewolf bite death and I'm not sure if it's a mod, buut I love when humans die by being sucked out too much blood by a vampire, like blood loss death or? Oh! And being eaten by the cowplant. Also, death by a myth from High School Years pack. It's super creepy for me personally. Please note that I'm not really a player, so I don't remember much deaths, I'm sure there's so much more interesting. creepy and kinda funny ways to die in Sims 4!

2. Alpha or Maxis Match CC?

It's both! I equally love alpha and maxis match, and mix those two styles because honestly? There's too much gorgeous and unique cc to both of these styles to just choose or prefer one.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

No? Maybe because they don't because even when (actually it's IF) I play I cheat their needs :DD OH, and I also have some MCCC marks or whatever it called in English (метки) so their appearance won't be reseted or be able to change because I'm too tired of their presets changing for some reason when I enter live mode.

4. Do you use move objects?

HOW CAN YOU FUCKING NOT USE THIS CHEAT????????

5. Favorite mod?

I don't really remember all my favorite gameplay mods, but there are some I can't play without (not including some obvious ones such as MCCC and WW and UI Cheats and cooking mods that I have a lot):

ALL mods from SpinningPlumbobs, especially the Expanded Mermaid and Werewolves! These are super detailed and amazing for players who mainly focus on occult sims. It makes occults so much more interesting to play and it brought me back to somehow enjoying gameplay.

ALL mods from PERSEA, but especially Realistic Life & Pregnancy mod because it has so much cute interaction and it truly brings in so much depth and a sense of feelings to sims. Like real emotions and buffs, also cute dialogue options!

ALL mods from Lumpinou. But especially RPO, Open Love Life, Psychic Sims and Rambunctious Religions (if you wanted to have a cult in your game, esp occult cult - it's possible!!! And god I LOVE having sexy priests that are really priests in my game). Actually, every single mod of this creator is my must-have for gameplay, so YEEEEAH.

ALL mods from Maplebell. I do think that the Acting overhaul was a very needed mod for the game, as well as the socials & more kisses mod!

ALL mods from Adeepindigo, but especially education system overhaul AND PARANORMAL CAREER & GHOST HUNTERS!! Family activities and custom nuptials are the mods I find myself using the most, as well as Pet Care Activities. Also, the tweaks & small mods are VERY useful! The only mod I don't use from this creator is dental care - although it's super cool and realistic, but it's too overwhelming for me (thanks OCD), same with the most recent - Divergent sims, it's incredibly detailed but I'm not ready to deal with the same shit I go though every day in The Sims too lmao. It's overwhelmingly realistic & very detailed!

There's so much more, but my brain is super dumb, so I can't remember, but! If you see any detailed occult mod esp for vampires - you KNOW i'm already using it because that sort of mods are the most amazing for me. I love gameplay mods. although I don't really play a lot, but I have much of them.

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?

I'M A FUCKING PIRATE HOW DO I ANSWER? I got them all at ones time yeeeeeah I'm too cool for this question 😎😎😎😎😎 But if I'm being serious, although I got on a pirate ship when I was a teen, I started playing sims 4 when I think Cats & Dogs came out? So that can count as the first thing I got just because I started there. But If i'm being serious, I don't remember lmao. When I was a teen, I was pirating everything I saw on russian torrent websites, but I remember being instantly more interested in TS4 when pets expansion came out. SORRY I'M STUPID AND MY MEMORY IS TERRIBLE

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?

aLIVE. But overall, I have no idea how it should be pronounced. And with LIVing it sounds so dumb I'm sorry-

Wait, howwww they even look? I haven't used any EA hair in the recent months or even years, so I had to look them up in CAS lmaooooo. Okay, so! Probably all HYS & Growing Together hair, almost all black hairstyles! AND I LOVE DREAM HOME DECORATOR AND NIFTY KNITTING HAIR!!! they're so good wowwwww! and i'm a fucking fan of Paranormal mullet! AND ALL THE HAIR FROM COTTAGE LIVING TOO! The way I didn't know about them until I started writing this tag 👁️👁️👁️

13. Favorite life stage?

YOUND ADULT. I'm scared of aging and death everywhere, so I have NEVER played a sim older than young adult. It may be oversharing (which is my love language btw and I just can't shut up SO BEAR WITH ME and my loud personality here), but the only thought about elders make me extremely sad and almost makes me hystericly cry for hours- NO IM NOT OKAY but my phychiatrist says it's getting better you know!!!! ALSO. My god infants are incredible cute and I love playing with kids because my god they're so adorable in game! I'm a child hater btw, but the game infants are super cute!

14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

I'm sorry but NEITHER. But if i need to choose, I'm choosing building because it's so good but also! Not nessecerealy building, but decorating! I don't build I'm fucking dumb & scared of floorplans, roofs and terrain painting. But decorating? Anytime, please!!

15. Are you a CC creator?

17. What’s your favorite game?

Ummm... Bloodborne & The Forest & Alien: Isolation?? But if we're talking about Sims, then it's TS2! The townies are the best although I didn't really grew up on The Sims in the way most simmers did, I played TS2 with my older sister all the time and this game has such amazing humor (although yeah it's pretty crude and mature BUT THAT'S SO COOL WWAAAAAAH) and personality, It's super good!

18. Do you have any sims merch?

DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW MUCH DELIVERY TO GERMANY COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although I want to have the merch maybe like?? Plumbob headphones or like headband? That would be so cool!

NO. I wanted to be simtuber for some time, but I'm too scared of hate that comes with particiapating in youtube community, so NEVER THANK YOU!

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing?

I have no idea, I'm sorry. And I don't really have my much older sims or screenshots or save files? But I think I started being more risky and using much more CC and using heavy alpha CC which I adore! Also, my sims started to become more and more gorey and dark-themed. Like- I feel like my sims were less horror-like few years before, they were casual occults. GOD I HOPE ONE DAY WE CAN HAVE TRUE BODY HORROR (MORE EYES PLEASE!!!!!!!! I WANT MY SIMS TO HAVE EYEBALLS EVERYWHERE ON THEIR BODY AND I WANT THEM INSECTS GROWING UNDER THEIR SKIN PLLLLSSS!), like imagine having open lungs. more than two hangs or other body parts?? OR BLOODY DEER ANTLERS OR- sorry im fucking unhinged and maybe one day I'd get my lazy ass and create it all myself BECAUSE I CLEARLY NEED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a secret. There's nothing and I was banned for piracy while sharing sims (no CC ones btw, and they were fucking normal like USUAL sims) TWICE. So nope!

You- First of all, as I remember, you were the first creator with whom my journey with CC began and even then, you had a superior quality CC, and it was and still is the best CC content ever! I know I've said it a million times before, but! I came here in March, I believe! So like... 3 months? And my god I never felt this accepted in any community before, although begging was very scary and still is a bit, but the more I shared my OCs, edits and screenshots with you, the more accepted and loved I felt and my god, this is such an amazing feeling when you see how everyone share their amazing creativity and love for franchise and just- It's truly amazing to see everyone's amazing creativity and I still can't believe how different everyone's sims and game is! IT'S JUST SO COOL! I love seeing such different and unique visions being connected by the one game.

24. How do you edit your pictures?

OOOH It's a lot! First of all, I have pretty heavy and detailed reshade (but my PC is very much okay with this, so don't worry), I have a couple of favorite presets that make the game look SO MUCH DIFFERENT AHH! But keep in mind that I change a lot of settings and have my MXAO's set differently. The ultimate favorite of mine is Softee preset by Lustrousims! Its truly amazing and I use it every time. What I love about it is colour scheme and the way it DOES work with POC sims which is AMAZING! So for gameplay or build (which i have like... three, maybe?) or cas posts I don't really edit anything, maybe use a couple of color ajustments + dust + light leaks + resolution enchance + blur background a bit or make some details pop, but that's all!

But when It comes to my edits.... I do use blender, so you can see a few of my renders here. I edit them and in-game pictures either in GIMP or Photoshop (I pirate it too btw) for psd actions or if i'm editing while at work or while going somewhere - i use mobile editing apps such as Photoshop Express & Lightroom, Glitch Lab, Polarr, Vaporgram! Sometimes mobile apps are more useful for specific things than GIMP or Photoshop on PC lmaooo, so yeah.

Thirdly, I enchance resolution on PC by Topaz AI and on mobile with Remini, which is super useful because it does add details and really unblur pics.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far?

OKAY SO. Please keep in mind that my opinion may be weird, but that's because I never paid a single euro for The Sims 4, I KNOW most of TS4 packs and content in general is super overpriced and bad if you keep in mind how much you paid for it, but I haven't, I have it all for free, so I just mostly enjoy everything when I truly explore or play it. I do still shame EA tho lmaoo.

Expansions: Get to Work (mainly because of aliens and active careers), Cottage Living (HAVE YOU SEEN THE CUTEST COWS??HAVE YOU SEEN THEM??), Cats & Dogs, Growing Together, Island Living.

Game packs: Vampires (OBVIOUSLY!), Strangerville, Realm of Magic, Werewolves

Stuff packs: PARANORMAL, Vintage Glamour, Movie Hangout Nifty Knitting, Tiny Living, Laundry Day!

26. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?

Okay, sooooooo......

Expansion: music groups & choirs & opera pack that will bring more ACTIVE careers for musicians, more music instruments, PLEASE GIVE ME OPERA AND BALLET THEATERS (... my russian side truly wants to have it, like pls), tours and trip-hop as in-game genre! Also, It would be amazing if they'll add something like church choirs or something like that.

Game pack: FAIRIES. And bigfoot. Please. I want to have those in my game so bad! Also, I think it would be amazing if we'd another pack where we'll get the whole funeral system, like funerals and graveyards! I WANT TO HAVE THOSE SO BAD. And I want this pack to have maybe mortician career. maybe even an active one? As well as active funerals, more coffins with cross-pack compability so that vampires can sleep in them too. Also! You know this message your sim sometimes get about their very far relative passing away and giving them money? I want it expanded & it's a great ability to add an option for a sim to own a multiple homes and apartments, like having their own and the house that was passed for them by a grand-someone.

Stuff packs: something for toddlers and infants, maybe including functional strollers & new interactive toys (like a mini piano or a book that can sing them songs) and more clothes and bb objests. I think we need more gameplay for toddlers and infants! And also, maybe a separate stuff pack for kids? ALSO WE FUCKING NEED THE SPOOKY STUFF REFRESH!

Dawn Of The Simfected Set-Up

Meet Charles, a nightshift dock worker, a loner that likes to curl up with a good book and avoid social interactions. When the neighbours start to get a bit bitey, Charles manages to avoid becoming a Sim-burger and finds himself in charge of a small group trying to make it to tomorrow and not only survive but thrive. Or do they? Try the challenge and see.

To begin:

When selecting a new game, select the story option where you answer questions to create a Sim. Select young adult and then just click randomly on the answers. Don't change too much about the Sim created. You can also use https://perchance.org/random-sim-generator. Best is to start with a male Sim.

Your Sims will have to be tested for the virus on a regular basis. The test is simple, just roll the dice and if you get even numbers, your Sim is safe. Uneven number means your Sim is infected so roll again and if you roll even numbers, they stay alive. Uneven numbers means your Sim didn't make it. If your Sims rolls clean or survive, they are immune for two rolls. When your Sim “dies” because of a roll, you can either have them die for real and have Grim come get them or change them into a zombie and move them out.

Start in Spring in San Myshuno in 17 Culpepper House in the spice market. Set life span to long and seasons to max, turn off the celebrity system, turn on the basic living system in lot challenges and you're only allowed to have the cheapest of the cheap furniture. Open the calendar and go to the first day of autumn. Create a holiday called "supply run" and choose fighting as a tradition(this holiday can be deleted once done). After a few days in game, go to the first day spring and create a holiday called "The Beginning" so your Sims can always celebrate this day. Set funds to $500.

Go to Strangerville to the Sigworth household. Give Jess the pack items(by pressing shift on Jess and going to pack cheats), put her in a hazmat suite and open all the doors to the motherplant at the secret lab to activate the Strangeville storie. When she returns to her lot, zombie proof it the way you'd think someone with a military background and in a hurry would do. Give her ammo, a weapon and a radio from the zombie mod and listen to the broadcast to activate the zombie event. Do one event every day for 3 days.

Supernaturals are "infected" so they can't be added to your household.

World Setup:

Rooftop lot in the City: should be on one of the roofs with a campfire, generator, water tower, tents, washing line and tub. This lot will have water and power but the simple living trait.

In the spice district create a clinic lot with a army feel to it on one of the ground lots in the spice district.

Create a groceries store in the city.

Build a vet clinic that doubles as a hospital. Willow Creek, Newcrest, Windenburg, Evergreen, Mt. Komberi, Tartosa and San Sequoia are all available.

Build a "trader" post on the bar lots in Henford, Brindelton, Chestnut and Sulani.

Build a military base in Oasis Springs with family housing

Build a science facility in Strangerville with family housing

In Henford, Brindleton and Chestnut on the largest lot build a town (think Hilltop from The Walking Dead). Make it a rental property so many Sims can live in your town.

All towns are destroyed. It's the apocalypse, seed your worlds accordingly.

This challenge is ever evolving. I'm trying to use every world, every pack and use every bit of what Sims 4 has to offer.

Townie Makeovers: Don Lothario

I really didn't get how the EA version of this man ever got to be the ladies' man. So I gave him a lot of genetic tweaking to make him look attractive somehow. I'm not really sure if I'm happy with him yet as I'm really having a hard time with male sims. Help.

As previously mentioned, I moved out Don Lothario from the Calientes and got him his own little bachelor pad. Interestingly, he has no friends in the game and knows absolutely no one else aside from the Calientes. I'm thinking he should at least be acquainted with the Roomies and Johnny Zest at the very least?

I still have one household left to makeover in Oasis Springs and some stragglers and I'm done with base game makeovers.

How to Have Better Weddings without the New Game Pack - Part 1

By now, we all know the wedding game pack is broken. So if you're like me who's holding off on purchasing the game pack until it's fixed or until modders find a way to fix the game bugs, here is a list of custom content/mods for better weddings so we can still have our dream weddings in game.

Essential

The base game patch to add a new wedding venue is not available for wedding events, apparently.

Wedding Venue Bugfix by @lotharihoe - also makes the wedding arch required for weddings (because you can't get married without one!)

Gameplay

sitatweddings by bienchen - The most annoying thing about sims is that they don't sit and watch the ceremony. This might be obsolete for those with the new GP and I'm not sure if this will be maintained in the future as well.

Various Seating Fixes/Additions - also another seating fix from Mod The Sims. The updated version is in the comments and should still work for the latest patch.

Longer Parties & More Guests - This mod allows your parties to last up to 24 hours and gives you the ability to invite up to 200 guests. Please note that you can still end parties as early as you like by clicking on the event timer.

Better Community by Kawaii Stacie - This mod is good for making lots more full/diverse and for storytelling. You will be able to spawn more sims on your lots and pick which sims that spawn.

Cute Romance by @thepancake1s-mods - Adds the following interactions: Slow dancing and Dip kiss (used in the photo above)

Have First Dance at Wedding by SHEnanigans - adds a first dance requirement to the base game wedding event.

Resorts & Hotels Mod by Kawaii Stacie - adds resorts and hotels you can use for honeymoons (requires Vintage Glamour for some interactions)

Memorable Events Mod by Kawaii Stacie - Adds lots of cute events to the game that are not just wedding focused like:

Bachelor(ette) Party - This event lets your sims have their last night of freedom. Let them party with their friends and don't forget to tip the strippers!

Romantic Date - This event was created so that you can plan out your dates on the calendar!

Honeymoon - This event allows you to go on a honeymoon with your lover! You can invite friends and family! You can hire someone to watch your children if you bring them along, cook your food, and clean up after you.

Housewarming Party - This event lets you have the welcome wagon again except its people you actually know and instead of fruitcake or that island juice they will give you some household items on their way out!

Meet my Partner* - This event lets you meet your bf/gf or spouse...to your friends and family! Everyone will have different reactions to the news!

Moving Out* - This event allows you to break the news about your departure! Not everyone is going to be happy so expect things to get emotional!

Pregnancy Announcement* - This event allows you to announce your pregnancy to friends, family, and even your spouse... if you didn't tell him already.

Romantic Proposal - This event allows you to plan out your proposal! Hopefully, with all this effort you don't get rejected. Oh! You can invite friends and family to witness it if you like.

What religion are they, and if they have one, how do they practice?

They are currently non-religious. However, they were raised as "Worshippers of the Watcher," courtesy of their father (and, to a lesser extent, their mother.) They became disillusioned with the Watcherians when they were teens, for a number of reasons. There are many sects of Watcherians, some very analogous to real-world religions (particularly the Abrahamic religions), and others not. (The one Caleb and Lilith were raised in is probably most analogous to Evangelical Christianity in practice.) They do agree on two big things, however: One, it's super-duper important to praise and please The Watcher (the player, for non-Simmers out there), who was both kind and cruel, loving and wrathful at the same time, and two, Occult Sims are inherently bad because they represent the Watcher's Shadow/Dark Side. And so even if they hadn't left the Watcherians before becoming vampires, they'd be personas-non-gratas there now. The Watcherians were very influential in Willow Creek at the time they lived there. In some Sim Worlds, asking what church/temple/whatever someone attends is a very rude question unless you know them well; not so in Willow Creek. And was not uncommon to be asked by a complete stranger about their thoughts on the Watcher, or to hear someone praise the Watcher, or lament that public schools did not have organized (Watcherian) prayer sessions.

So, how did they practice? Well, they read and studied the Watcherian Holy Book. Their father would often drill them on passages; they were encouraged to memorize it, cover-to-cover. (Depending on whom you asked, that was either in case "Heathens" took over Simlandia and forbade religion, or because the Watcher or some agent thereof would quiz them on it as part of their judgment for the afterlife.) They prayed several times daily. They had a "Sinner's Prayer," basically about how awful they were for literally just existing and how they needed the Watcher's forgiveness, guidance, and wisdom. They had prayers in which they begged the Watcher to forgive them for their transgressions. They had a Simlish version of "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" that they prayed each night before bed. They had the Watcher's Prayer, believed to have been handed down from The Watcher themselves. They prayed before meals, thanking the Watcher for providing food for them. (When they ate together as a family, meals could not start until this prayer was said.) They attended Sunday School (or an analog of it) and Youth Group, and Watcherian Book Study; they were almost always at some religious event or another. And their pastor visited frequently with his wife (whom Caleb noted never really seemed happy), because he was good friends with their dad. (For his part, he wasn't happy they left, and even considered them to be troublemakers, but he did help them organize a funeral service for Edward and Artesia when they died in that car accident.) They attended worship each week, no matter what. Even when the roads were bad in the winter, or when one of them was sick with the llama flu. And it didn't matter what else was going on, events at their church/temple/whatever thing came first. Lilith was always advised to cover up, so as not to cause men and boys (even her own father and her own twin brother) to think "bad" woohoo-related thoughts about her and therefore "stumble" and sin. Some Watcherian women even went so far as veiling themselves, either once they reached puberty, or after marriage, though it wasn't a common practice in their particular sect. (Most women in their group wore big, fancy hats to worship service, including Artesia.) Both Caleb and Lilith were told to wait for marriage (to a member of the opposite sex) to even think about woohoo, or else they'd no longer be worthy of love (and the Watcher would punish them for all eternity), although it may have been more emphasized for Lilith. They were also forbidden from reading or watching certain secular media, like Henry Puffer. Edward never went as far as burning books, but book-burnings were not unheard of in their sect. Their particular sect didn't declare any food (apart from Mermadic Kelp, the unpalatable-to-non-vampires-anyway Blood Fruit, or the Forbidden Fruit of the PlantSim) to be off-limits, but other Watcherian sects forbade pork and shellfish, and even blood transfusions. And if someone died, they were not to plead with the Grim Reaper or hand him a Death Flower in exchange for that Sim's life, but to accept it and even to be happy for them because they were going to meet the Watcher and (if the Watcher judged them worthy) spend all eternity with Him/Her/It/Them. (There wasn't agreement on what pronouns the Watcher used, and as to how many there were, the general answer was that the Watcher had many different aspects, but there was ultimately only one Watcher.)

TS4 FUNDIE FAMILY CHALLENGE

inspiration

this is an edited version of @quiverfullsims duggar family challenge. this is inspired by quiverfull, IBLP (institute of basic life principles), fundamentalist christian’s, the duggar family, the bate’s family, and much more. for more information on this topic, i recommend watching ‘shiny happy people’ a documentary on amazon prime video and ‘fundie fridays’ a youtube channel that discusses different aspects of christian fundamentalism, american conservative politics, pop culture, and gay stuff. jen (the creator of fundie fridays) was also featured on the shiny happy people documentary.

all these rules mainly apply to the first generation. it is your choice if you want the children to continue these rules, only follow some or completely abandon them.

starting out

1. begin with a young adult man and woman. their names are up to you but all children will share their first initial with their father. i recommend making the man be a politician (just like jim bob)

2. unlimited money for the first generation’s house. they may start out with 20,000 simoleons and (optional) can be given 1,000 x each child born

3. i recommend setting the lifespan to long so it’s not extremely stressful

appearance

(based on the rules of IBLP, what the duggar’s follow)

general-

no tattoos, facial + body piercings (other than ear piercings for girls), and unnatural hair colors

men-

men must have short hair and masculine clothes. their shirts cannot be tank tops and their pants must be at least knee-length. no ear piercings

women-

women must have long hair and wear feminine clothing. no pants, all skirts and dresses must be at least ankle length. no text can be printed on their dresses. their shirts cannot be a tank top or show midriff or cleavage. no makeup, nail polish, and high heels. no slits in skirts, no patterned stockings. basically, nothing that draws attention away from their face.

jobs and skills

- only men can have jobs. these jobs must be traditionally masculine (no flight attendants, nurses, women-dominated fields.) all children who are male that follow the fundie + IBLP ideology should become politicians (this is because IBLP’s goal was to create a lot of children and have them go into politics to further spread their ideas)

- for women, it is your decision but you can allow them to have “side hustles” such as fishing, gardening, candle-making, etc. also your choice but you can allow unmarried women to have freelance or babysitting gigs

- men must do all the repairs. women must do all the cooking, cleaning and child care. no babysitters, maids, cooks, etc. are allowed on normal occasions.

- (optional) all children must practice their chosen instrument every school day and max out that instruments skill. this also includes singing

- children should practice trade work. of course, these should be seperated based on traditional gender roles (ex. painting for women, woodworking for men)

school

(modded)

there are two ways to homeschool your kids with mods,

1. using adeepindigo’s education overhaul mod you can enroll your children in virtual school. pros are, this allows them to get grades, electives, tasks, etc. while being at home. cons are, you have to regulate what your sims are doing on their computers since going on the internet would expose them to too many secular ideas.

2. using MC command center by deaderpool you can have the option to unenroll your children from school (MC command center -> MC career -> children can quit school -> set to true.) instead of school they can build their skills in the traditional school hours. you can pretend this is homeschooling. pros are, you don’t have to regulate what your children are doing on the computers and get a more realistic experience. you can have the mother teach the children like the duggar’s instead of an online program. cons are, they don’t get official grades, electives, tasks etc.

(mod-free)

- since homeschooling is not an official part of the sims 4, you can just send your children to public school and pretend it’s a private christian school. if you have the get together pack, you can create a club with other children at the school and make it the christian club.

relationships

- no dating, only courting. courting is a form of dating but with the end goal of marriage.

- courting rules are: the boy must ask the girls father for permission before they begin courting. i would do this by just having a dinner with the potential “courter” (not sure of the name haha) and spinning a die to see if the father approves or not (ex. evens are yes, odds are no.) the courters must never be alone together. there should always be a chaperone, this can be literally anyone just a person to keep them accountable. courters can go on dates with eachother but a chaperone must be present. no texting between the courters. your sim can decide if they want to marry who they’re courting with.

- no kissing, woohooing, front hugging (only side hugs), hand holding, and any romantic physical touch before marriage.

- while married, only try for baby woohoo is allowed (this obviously is excluded if you have risky woohoo on in MCCC)

- (optional) daughters should have two cooking skill points and sons should have two skill points in handiness before getting married.

- a starter home for married couples will be gifted by their father

- no divorcing or eloping

buddy system

the mother will take care of the babies until they become infants. then the care of them will be passed on to whoever is in line to become a buddy. an older buddy is a female child or teen. each older buddy can have up to 3 younger buddies. these older buddies are in charge of taking care of their younger buddies (ex. feeding them, playing with them, putting them to sleep, potty training them, etc.)

misc. rules

- TVs, radios, and tablets are not allowed. computers are allowed for the virtual school aspect (if you’re using the education overhaul mod) but they cannot use the computer for any interactions other than schooling. otherwise, computers are not allowed for unmarried men and all women. married men may have computers and you can lock it for everyone but them.

- the children’s bedrooms should be seperated based on gender (a girls room and a boys room)

- NO to: dancing, alcohol, drugs, romance novels, social media before being engaged, halloween, “revealing” swimsuits, helping unwed mothers, and beaches for unmarried men

- i recommend adding a “prayer room” to the house and having each family member pray at least once a day or every other day (it can become difficult with so many household members)

^^^ use the MCCC mod to have more than 8 sims in a household. 🚨DO NOT GO INTO CAS WITH MORE THAN 8 SIMS BECAUSE THE EXTRA SIMS WILL BE DELETED🚨 if you don’t have the mod you can always move out extra sims into a “second house” with an adult chaperone
