Apparently, the artist for the Twisted Wonderland manga adaptation will be changing for the Episode of Savanaclaw???
The artist for the Episode of Heartslabyul was one of Yana Toboso’s assistants. The Episode of Savanaclaw will be taken over by another mangaka, Oda Suzuka (who has worked on the manga for Pretty Boys Detective Club, Psychic Detective Yakumo, and the Owarimonogatari TV specials.
It’s certainly a stylistic change from Heartslabyul (Leona’s expression looks more friendly than fierce to me), but I’m looking forward to seeing how Savanaclaw is adapted. The latter is pretty universally considered one of the weaker points in the game’s main story, so I’ll be on the lookout for how the manga tackles its presentation. I’m sure it’ll be a fun ride regardless!
... Now I’m curious if a new artist will take over for each dorm’s episode??? Or maybe the decision to change artists was done now because the previous artist was needed to help with Black Butler/Yana’s other projects.

Break of Dawn: svelata con un trailer la data di debutto del film d’animazione
La pellicola tratta dal manga sci-fi dell’autore di Alice & Zoroku uscirà in Giappone il 21 ottobre.
Diffuso un primo trailer esteso per il film d’animazione basato su “Bokura no Yoake” (Break of Dawn), il manga sci-fi firmato da Tetsuya Imai (Alice & Zoroku), che sbarcherà nei cinema giapponesi a partire dal 21 ottobre.

La pellicola è una produzione targata studio ZERO-G (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It, Tsugumomo). La regia è affidata a Tomoyuki Kurokawa (Dragonar Academy, Psychic Detective Yakumo) e la sceneggiatura è curata da Dai Sato (Super Crooks, Yurei Deco).
Il character design è adattato per l’animazione da Takahiko Yoshida (Cells at Work! Lavori in Corpo, Yowamushi Pedal) e si basa su dei concept realizzati per l’occasione da Pomodorosa (Listeners, Deca-Dence). Per quanto riguarda la colonna sonora, le musiche sono composte da Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya, A te che conosci l’azzurro del cielo - Her Blue Sky).
Siamo nel 2049, in un futuro dove l'umanità è consapevole da alcuni anni che la Terra entrerà inevitabilmente in collisione con una massiccia cometa.
Yuma è un ragazzino che ama tutto ciò che riguarda lo spazio e l'astronomia. Con sua grande sorpresa, un giorno viene in contatto con un essere extraterrestre che prende possesso di Nanako, il nuovo robot per le pulizie comprato dai suoi genitori. L’alieno ha bisogno del suo aiuto e pare essere collegato in qualche modo alla cometa in arrivo.

«Yakumo-kun!»
Chiamò Haruka infastidita dal fatto che lui non stesse minimante cercando di andare al suo passo, dopo esser uscito dall’ufficio di Gotou-san senza darle il tempo di salutare i due poliziotti.
«Ehi! Aspettami!» protestò.
Proprio non accennava a rallentare e lei non aveva certo intenzione di corrergli dietro solo per dargliela vinta. D’altronde, era stata lei ad invitarlo a prendere qualcosa alla caffetteria lì vicino prima di tornare a casa.
«Okay!» sbottò. Testone!
Si arrese, sorridendo. Magari avesse avuto il potere di farsi obbedire da lui…
Aumentò il passo e riuscì finalmente a raggiungerlo. Lo afferrò dalla camicia, sul braccio, per non essere più lasciata indietro.
«Potresti anche ringraziarmi, sai?» attaccò. «”Grazie, Haruka. La tua gentilezza mi tocca il cuore!”»
Haruka vide gli angoli delle labbra di lui alzarsi in un sorrisetto.
«Visto che offro io, non mi merito neanche un “grazie”?» continuò imperterrita, contenta del fatto che era lei – lei – il motivo di quello.
Raramente lui l’assecondava o esprimeva apertamente ciò che sentiva; perciò doveva tirarglielo, ogni volta, a forza.
Yakumo la fissò con la coda dell’occhio per un momento, poi distolse lo sguardo puntandolo nuovamente innanzi.
«Grazie.»
Haruka s’illuminò in un sorriso: «E non ti sembra di aver dimenticato qualcosa?»
«No.»
«Uffa! Quando ti deciderai a chiamarmi per nome?» sbuffò, imbronciandosi. «Ha-ru-ka.» sillabò in modo chiaro. «Non è difficile.»
«Conosco il tuo nome.» si limitò a ribattere lui.
«Be’, non ne sarei così sicura; visto che tu ti limiti a chiamarmi: “lei”, “quella”, “idiota” o, quando sei in vena di darmi un’identità più precisa, “porta guai”.»
Haruka si strinse nelle spalle. In fondo era riuscita già a tirargli fuori un “grazie” e lui non l’aveva allontanata, limitandosi a lasciare che la sua mano stringesse il cotone della camicia senza fare commenti o accennare a bruschi strattoni per liberarsi.
Era un bel passo avanti.
Sorrise.
«Vedrò di accontentarmi.» scrollò le spalle.
Era sicura che prima o poi sarebbe successo. Quel giorno sarebbe arrivato.
Aspetterò.

Would Anyone Mind/Care
If I wrote a very long text post about how the anime for Psychic Detective/Shinrei Tantei Yakumo is the worst adaptation of the source material? I have A Lot of Opinions but I keep throwing them at @fishstock or another friend of mine whose tumblr I don’t know, and neither of these people deserve to be drowned in my raving over a series that barely anyone knows about in the anglosphere. Like, little known enough that there are 3 volumes left to be translated and I’m p sure no one’s gonna do it.
I care so much but I’m 100% sure no one else does and it is very sad.
