i GENUINELY wonder if my fics are not good enough, or it's just because i am writing about the "side charachters" and not ghost or könig..

i mean ofc everyone have tastes but the way pepole act on socials and keep out charachters like Rudy and Alejandro makes me wonder if this is a preference or r*cism.

(before you say it, i am not making drama and we can't keep turning around the pot forever)

(also Horangi and Gaz are extremely underrated, fortunately ppl started to include them back after the chaos of September. i understand some people may not like a character or not write for him because they don't want to mess it up. but leaving him out like MANY did isn't okay.)

I am not blaming anyone but genuinely wondering why some charachters get all the attention while we can berly find content for any other character, who are really interesting as well and deserve appreciation.

y'all need to let people do what they love, even if you don't like it, someone enjoys it. And the purpose of a fandom is to recreate and make new stuff out of the actual product.

Although, what is extremely wrong is oversexualizing the charachters, making from them some mentally ill monsters and manicas. You should educate yourself on disorders and similar stuff before writing it, you may think it's ok, but in reality love, you are making a huge mistake.

(I've seen some stuff that was extremely messed up and the people who wrote that really need to touch some grass and urgent therapy. Some stuff shouldn't be posted at all..)

Also, the face models are actual people.. and the comment section under their posts makes me sick.. some of y'all took the digital footprint for granted..

remember they can read, or see anything you'll say. they have family, friends seeing what y'all say about them..

imagine seeing someone say that stuff about your friend or parent..

Also Samuel Roukin and every other actor are beautiful, they are humans and don't have to be a flawless super model.(he is in fact very handsome 🤭)

Look in the mirror darling and remember that the person you are hating on is a human just like you and have feelings.

Hey, I stumbled across your last post addressing the toh blog critiquing fans of belos and how they engage with the show and i'd like to put my 2 cents in as an au creator who has belos featured in my aus.

When I made arofam, I was just goofing around, it was before s2 officially aired and I thought at work one day "oh, belos and this gg kid look like parallels to luz and eda, wouldn't an au swapping them be funny?". I made that au based solely on that, and everything after that was straight up just me trying to work around everything the show was throwing at me and try and adapt it in the au. It became more emotional with time, but it wasn't built on a foundation of trying to make his canon self less bad nor excuse anything he did. (Undoubtedly that goofy au just made me more invested in those characters over time).

Like we didn't even know belos's plans, his abuse of the ggs, his brother, nothing, when I made the au. The show really had to make me work to make belos likable in my au after that.

I say this because it's why it's wrong to always make assumptions about ppl based on what they create or are engaged in. You don't have to like the content yourself, but there's a variety of reasons ppl make aus with philip in a prominent role. Some wanna explore him in unique ways that canon can't, some are intrigued by his backstory and wanna play with that, and some are like me who just woke up one day and thought " Ok, but what if we did a silly with him?".

It would be wrong to categorize everyone into one box, with the same ideals and same opinions. Not everyone will have the same draws but assuming the worst of a fan who likes to play with the main antagonist in noncanon work or personally have different opinions on his execution in the show is extremely judgemental and hurtful because a lot of these fans are just having fun and have very little malicious intent.

If you have criticism of the work and wanna kindly address it to the creator, then sure, they might be allowed to give their opinions on where they were coming from while they're at it in case the work was misinterpreted.

But you can genuinely hurt ppl and creators by throwing them under a " bad person" label without allowing yourself to understand them or their work and why they made the choices they did.

I guess the point I'm making here is, fans engage with the media they like for a number of reasons, if you're going to make accusations on them, at least have clear solid reasons rather then basing it on pure assumptions based on work that might not even really be that deep in the first place or even just the comments of a few fans.

If they're being purposely malicious and awful then sure.

But sometimes it's really not that deep, some ppl just wake up one day and wanna imagine a swap au with belos or wanted a cooler death.

People shouldn't be crucified online for that.

100% agree with you there! I've stated before that this fandom has a tendency to connect a person's morality to the type of media they consume or how they engage with it. It's really unsettling, tbh.

You don't like AUs that redeem Belos? Or make him a goofy uncle? Or make Caleb the evil emperor?

Then don't read them. You're not the target audience.

I hope any and all creators with a Belos AU aren't discouraged because some ninny on the net, who thinks they're the arbiter of social justice, got mad because they decided to have fun with a fictional character.

it's just. gosh. for as much as i talk abt bravern being unhinged the fact of the matter is that it is actually SO restrained. ESPECIALLY for something in a medium that is already a little self-indulgent and referential. like for all of bravern himself's clear love for mecha there have been so few explicit references to other shows? and then this ep had so fucking many - ttgl (which - fucking hilarious to use it against a character KONISHI is voicing and then have that DD be fucking useless except for wanting to see some cool fights LSKDJFH) and flcl and symmetrical docking and rider kick and jeeg and gundam and the fuckin uhhhhhhhh exkaiser i think but i dont remember for sure its the same one that showed up in the earlier fight w superbia too. like w the other mecha on the roof framing. and probably about thirty more that i'm for sure missing or not recognizing or forgetting ON TOP OF all the obari posing and punching which have been sneaking into the visuals before this - but it was all for the purpose of having us watch this hype battle and get all excited to make the ending hit THAT much harder. and holding off the first gattai until episode NINE???? the thing we're all expecting to happen at any fucking moment, because there was no way that the souls of isami and bravern could've combined and actually resonated for a true gattai until that point????? like it's ALL in service of the story rather than wow cool robot even tho it IS a pretty damn cool robot. this show makes me feel like i did my homework and i'm acing the test AND I HAVENT EVEN WATCHED THAT MUCH MECHA TBH. LMFAO. all the "who is this show even FOR (eyeroll emoji)" comments back in like ep2 get funnier every week bc bravern knows its audience like the back of its hand and it gets clearer and clearer every week that its execution is fucking razor sharp. this show is SO SUCKING GOOD and I LOVE IT. that was supposed to say fucking good but sucking works too

I was wondering your thoughts about this still to this day, hate on SuperM from fans of the groups (mostly EXO-Ls), that were in SuperM. A reaction channel recently featured a few SuperM videos and the comment section was a g.d. hot mess. I cannot believe almost 5 years later and people (again mostly annoying ass EXO-Ls) are still being petty and childish asf about them. Anything from: they were created for evil (yes evil lmao) purposes by LSM to it was a horrible time for Kai and Baekhyun because they were so overworked and LSM scolded Baekhyun for his opinins so it's odd that some EXO-Ls would like that group to they were created to "take down" BTS because LSM was jealous etc etc and all that bullshit. Sometimes I can't believe I'm part of the idiot species who think like that lmao None of those excuses for hating a group with seven talented and attractive as hell adult men, make any sense. The overworked shit drives me nuts the most because it's once again babying these grown ups who are old enough to make their own decisions and knew juggling multiple groups was going to be tricky but wanted to be part of it. I am so sick of "fans" being angry, upset, defensive or hurt on behalf of these adults. LSM scolded Baekhyun. Okay??? Lmao Like that's between those two and nobody knows the level of the scolding anyway. Baek didn't say "LSM cursed me the fuck out and told me he's gonna kick my dog next time he sees him" scolding can even be done playfully. Idk if that group is done for good but to still be bitter and bitchy about them is mindblowing to me.

Oh, Anon. It's a sport to hate SuperM. A passionate hobby for many. Before I had listened to the group, I was told by quite several people what a "fail" they were, how terrible they were, etc. When I encountered them, I was expecting the worst.

Now, there are legitimate reasons to criticize. A lot of the music is ridiculous, the concepts ridiculous, etc. Like, the entire "Avengers" concept was flawed from the get-go. Peak cringe. But, at the end of the day, it's still a group with 6 of the most talented people in the entire genre. That can't be denied. And for that reason, I do have reason to believe it will return at some point. When you have a diamond, you wear it.

If you're expecting EXO fans to stop making hatred a sport, it will never happen. They are the original army; they're the blueprint for BTS's fans. EXO paved the way for BTS, and so did their fans (ppl are so dumb if they can't see that, but I digress...). They love to be butt hurt and make it everyone else's problem. I'm always grateful that the problem with shawols is that their standards are sky-high, lol. And they rarely waste time on such nonsense.

And I'm with you. I give zero shits if Baekhyun gets scolded at work. Who hasn't been scolded at work? I scold and get scolded, lol. That's work. Unfortunately, a lot of the people drawn to the kpop "stan" thing are people who aren't familiar with having an ambitious and demanding career. For us that are chasing something, you do work hard and overstretch yourself and get scolded and fail and try again. Lots of things happen if you're chasing a dream. What I hate is the "overwork" thing you bring up because it's just very clear these people don't know what it's like to go after your dreams and start succeeding. And they don't understand what a lot of people's lives are like. Only slept a few hours and went to work? Yep, that happens. Working all day and hustling a side business at night or studying or something else? Yep, that happens. Traveling for work so much you forget where you are or what your hotel room number is? Yes.. SIDE POINT: Some of you all really need to stop thinking that individual IG likes mean much these days. We've long-since graduated BEYOND all of that by now lol. Regarding the anon saying Ms. singer couldn't say that she's dating him yet. It was on a TT live. She was kinda annoyed that ppl only ask about Colby or Ava, her sister. OH GOD okay i think i have talked about this a little every now and then but i'll stick that specific post i drafted under a cut though because it is 2 o'clock on a tuesday

basically it's like... okay for example. last week a tiktok trended essentially talking about how people made up steve's relationship with his parents being neglectful or abusive (which is true) but the tone being used in the comment section was like inSANE and something i've seen in many different contexts from many different sources it just all highlighted it horribly for a moment there though. but this isn't about that specific tiktok iderc about it. but like people were acting like it was soooo funny so hilarious we love it haha but i eat it up tbh haha i love it when he's abused haha ... ??? like how are people seemingly en masse actually incredibly aware of and able to identify something like that and instead of taking the time to be like actually .. maybe this is weird in a lot of contexts 🤔 they instead just go haha i love it though. like i don't even know... how brains can work like this what is stopping you from attempting to access a voice to your OWN OPINION.. weird. but not the point

but then when ppl say it's so "weird" this happens he's not abused that's such a stupid sob story i . can't handle it even MORE. they can see the core of it but lost the compassion to blanket it like why the Fuck do you think it's an appropriate thing to say "how dare people want to relate to a fictional character experiencing things they have" why would you assume every single person is, Like You, happily CONSUMING and eating something like this down to the bone without any care in the world. that abuse victims do not deserve a small amount of comfort or catharsis that people who aren't victims aren't allowed to feel compassion for it that being abused does not make you Used Up and you are able to not only survive but thrive and you as a human being are afforded the RIGHT of happiness + safety. that things like these cannot possibly be the necessary balancing act it's always just literally black and white WHY IS THE WORLD so dark and cold. Maybe because my blinds are closed. that's a metaphor. UGH it just all drives me crazy. i think we know this though.

anyway basically i don't think exploitation is content and if the only thing you're doing WITH your content is tropeifying serious things like abuse (but this extends into things like disability or mental health or lgbt identity etc) then you're being a dickhead and dressing it up in a very... juvenile way. also i think it's ironic people will go on and on about "complex relationships" and then not actually make them complex because it's just an excuse to paint steve as a poor broken boy who needs to be Saved (by eddie or whatever the fuck honestly it happens with robin too) and as an abuse victim i think it. sucks. even though i do relate to steve and some depictions of it have been ... nice? well-portrayed and nonexploitive. i think it's an interesting read of his character and comes from a solid basis but i will always welcome narrative diversity over the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. mwah.

I feel like this has been said plenty of times before, but I'm going to say it again...

The whole conversation about whether or not Mike deserves Will because "Mike treats him like crap. Also, what about El?" or whether or not the Duffers will bury their gays, is so exhausting.

First off, they are all complex characters who are (may I remind you) 15 YEARS OLD. Who doesn't say and do stupid things at 15?! We haven't even really seen the full extent of things Mike has been going through personally and there are so many good analyses out there that provide possible explanations as to why Mike in specific may have done/said the things he has. Not excusing them, but OMG character development is a thing. S4 was not the last season. Did we forget? I know not everybody keeps up with ST news, but if you did even a little bit of research you would see the Duffers say things like "We don't want to be like GOT" and "Mike (a main character) dying would be too depressing". Not only that but you would see David talk about how the ending is beautiful and Noah comment on how amazingly well Wills arc is handled.

And let's bffr for a moment; Do you really think any of them dying (in this case, Will) would be considered a beautiful ending? NO. Not only would it be sad af for the other characters, but for the audience as well. They all deserve happiness. And deaths in cases like this solve NOTHING. Idc how bittersweet and purposeful they're written to be. Idc if Byler becomes canon, Vecna is defeated, and Will dies 'happily' after an injury or something while he's surrounded by love and holds the knowledge that he protected those he cares for; it's still too depressing. Think about the party (Will's best friends) and family who has seen the horrors he has gone through. There's El (his sister who has been through a lot herself), Jonathan (his brother who has helped raise him), Joyce (his mom who has fought tooth and nail for her kids), Hopper (his stepdad who's been there through it all), and let's not forget Mike (his bestest friend AND true love). What are they gonna do? Would the Duffers just play it off like "Everything happens for a reason so everybody's gonna move on because it was for the greater good". Like STFU. Even when Noah and Millie were joking about killing off characters, the Duffers basically told them "no". And let's bffr for another moment; Do you really think Noah would allow them to let Will die? Yes, Noah is just an actor so he doesn't have a huge say, but my point stands. Noah has expressed how much Will means to him numerous times and I know Noah is dramatic at heart (we love him for that) and would nail a scene like that but I'm pretty sure he would not enjoy that ending and say good things about it. Not only this, but Noah has said he wants to see Will ACTUALLY be happy as well, not just have a glimpse of it.

Stranger Things is NOT all these other shows and if they pulled the same things these other shows did it would go against the whole meaning of Stranger Things. The Duffers would literally ruin their careers.

I understand being skeptical because unfortunately things like this do happen, but this conversation is old and tired. Ppl on this app have provided reasonings and evidence over and over as to why this still shouldn't be a huge concern. If you choose to not trust the Duffers or listen to anyone's points and be negative, then fine, but do us all a favor and keep it to yourself because I am tired of seeing it.

no that totally makes sense! i would say most authors on here will write for ot13 but they definitely write more for their bias than any other member. i feel the same way, for me it's easier to write for jun than for other members (and also i love him lol) so my writing ends up being like 90% jun and 10% other members. which is completely fine! at the end of the day it's your blog and your writing, and you should write for whoever you feel comfortable writing for and whoever gives you the most motivation. there are hundreds of writers on this site so if one writer only writes for a couple of members, it doesn't mean the other members won't get written :) nobody says you're required to write certain things or for certain members!

if you intentionally leave out one member but write for all the rest (i've seen writers who write ot12 and exclude jun because they aren't attracted to him), you might get some side eyes but again that is your choice. i personally wouldn't say a hard no to any members and i'll give them all my best shot, but that's my blog, and your blog is up to you.

as for things you'd need to know, i'd say the number one thing is interact with people! the best way to get interaction on your own work is to reblog and comment on other fics. as i'm sure you've heard me say before, reblogs are the most important feature on this site! it basically boils down to, treat others how you would want to be treated by reblogging their works and leaving feedback, even if it's just a simple "i really loved this!!!". it makes you stand out in our notifs and if you're also a writer it might even get you a new mutual.

other tips off the top of my head:

have a masterlist post (helps people find all your fics in one place) and have a guidelines post (makes it clear what you're comfy with)

DO NOT PLAGIARIZE AND DO NOT STEAL ANYONE ELSE'S WRITING (this one is in caps bc super super important!!! you can take ideas or inspiration from someone else but you cannot take their words or their writing. you'd think this one would be obvious but plagiarism happens a lot more than you'd think)

if you're inspired by someone else, tag them in your fic! it shows respect to the original author, and you should tag them whether it was from a fic you read or if they helped you brainstorm ideas. it doesn't have to be a super long thing, just a little "inspired by @onlyhuis's fic!!" is more than enough, but it goes a long way :)

like i said, you can write for whoever you want, whenever you want! when ppl start interacting you it's gonna be stressful because you want to make them happy and put out new fics often, but just remember that it's your blog and you get the final say on everything. don't put pressure on yourself to write constantly because you will get burned out and i promise it will not be fun!

if people send things that make you uncomfy, don't be afraid to delete (or block) them. it's your blog and your boundaries so don't feel guilty for standing up for yourself. also, ignore answer hate asks because they're just looking for attention so don't give it to them

trigger things properly! this is the little section before the fic that says "warnings". don't censor any words (using punctuation like bl00d or d3ath instead of typing blood or death) because it defeats the purpose of ppl who have those keywords filtered, so type out the whole word uncensored. this is a courtesy for people so they can choose to avoid content that may be harmful to them. (this also counts towards visual works, a lot of ppl use tags like "tw flashing" on gifsets)

speaking of tags, when you post be sure to put tags on it! it's the section at the bottom of your post with all the #'s. if you click on any of my fics you can see that i use tags like "jun smut", "seventeen scenarios", etc. these tags help people find what they want to read (but only tag relevant things; don't put "mingyu smut" on a jeonghan fic unless mingyu is actually in the fic). if you aren't sure which tags to use or how to format things, feel free to look at other fics for examples. if you read a lot of fics you might see there's a pretty standard way of doing it

the tags i use like "june.txt" and "june writes" are organizational tags. when you click on, for example, my "june writes" tag, the results are only my fics that have that tag. it basically organizes things into categories (which imo is the best part of tumblr) and it makes it easier to find different types of posts. it also allows people to filter those tags so posts with that tag don't show up (for example, i require minors on my blog to block the tag "minors dni" so that nothing nsfw is shown to them)

again like i said, don't be shy! make friends, join networks, send asks to people, reblog fics, etc etc. interacting with others is the #1 way to make writer friends :)

just a general tumblr tip: no one can see how many followers you have except you, so don't try to make it a competition of who has the most. it's what makes tumblr different from tw*tter and insta and it makes the social media experience a lot more casual because there's no influencers here. it's like a diary where you scream into the void and sometimes ppl scream back. a lot of writers do milestone events (i recently had one for hitting 1k followers) but you aren't required to do those either

if you have any questions about tags, filtering keywords, and other tumblr stuff like that, don't be afraid to ask! any tumblr veteran is more than willing to help break down our weird system to new bloggers

be proud of your work! even if it doesn't get many notes or feedback it doesn't mean you're a bad writer. writing should be fun and something you can enjoy doing, so don't make it seem like a chore by focusing too hard on numbers

I get the point of the strike but the whole thing felt super disorganized and I have seen so many accounts take it as an opportunity to harass people, call people slurs, etc. just because they weren’t constantly reblogging activism posts. And I also get the point of sharing posts about Palestine but really, if you’re posting anything during a strike, it’s not a strike. Strikes work, but they have to be well organized to reach an audience big enough to make an impact.

Plus, the whole purpose of the strike was really overshadowed by the awful comments I’ve seen from the accounts berating people for not adhering to the “rules” (some of which, I didn’t even know about until the day before the strike ended)

Anyone who took this as an opportunity to harass and verbally attack others on this platform has absolutely lost the point of the cause. Why on earth would you think that berating people would make them see your point of view? What are you doing beyond reposting images on a single social media platform?? You all are making this into a trend of performative activism instead of trying to make any type of real change

hi! i think ppl (including myself) heard about the strike late so it has been a bit all over the shop and i'm sure many didn't even hear about it at all. i didn't see it mentioned on any other social media, so i'm not sure if it was just a tumblr thing? (correct me if i'm wrong) but i do agree with u to an extent. i think a lot of people may have viewed it as a strike against posting anything NOT palestine related which is why people were still active but obviously i can't speak for others on this matter

i haven't seen anybody using slurs etc, this is not me saying it didn't happen bc i don't doubt it... this is tumblr after all.. we should be educating each other and not insulting each other surely?

i completely understand your stance re people coming across as performative, however reposting images is still a way of spreading a message and the more people that do it, the better. some are not in a position to donate or go to protests so what else do you ask that they do to spread the word?

the proof is in the pudding and i hope that people continue to post as opposed to posting when their mutuals are so they look like they care! some posts i have raised an eyebrow to but like i said, we'll see!

religion talk below, specifically about my time studying islam.

sorry, i'm having a feeling. it's really long. _(:‚‹」∠)_

man, sometimes i get sad thinking about how happy i was as a hijabi...i felt beautiful and free in khimars and jilbabs, but the homophobia in all the groups i intermingled with and on the site of a local masjid i got in touch with, was hard to see. a woman from one messaged me about joining a hijabi group who do outings and stuff, but i never got a response back when i said that i'd love to. i think it was bc she found my fb and thought i wasn't good enough or something like that. i was heartbroken over it.

i really struggled not having any muslim friends to study with and learn from. community is always so so important especially when starting out. it's so incredibly isolating and confusing. in my case, i was also getting verbally attacked by my mom at all times for even entertaining the idea of converting. she hates the religion, she thinks fundie christianity is the only way, she hates seeing me covered up and "hiding my beauty", she's embarrassed to be seen in public with me, etc etc. she cried once in the car bc she assumed i thought i was ugly bc i was dressing in modest clothing, when in reality, it was the complete opposite. i tried to explain my feelings a million times, but she just never listened. the stares and laughs from ppl in public was also rough. i've gotten islamophobic things shouted at me in the street, and on several occasions had pictures/videos secretly and not so secretly taken.

the pressure i saw being put on hijabis online is insane. men and other hijabis constantly commenting on how you're not a "real" muslim bc "x, y, and z." i'm assuming it could be like that in physical muslim spaces as well, but again, i wasn't even given a chance to experience them. i saw maybe 5 queer muslims while consuming hijabi content, and they were bullied relentlessly. so much in fact, that it made me terrified at the thought of any other muslim finding out i'm not straight.

i struggled with the strict regimens and rules, like praying 5 times a day, but i was happy with myself for doing 1 or 2 bc of mental and chronic illnesses. i thought it was good enough for god bc he knows my heart and my struggles, but the community online said otherwise. i struggled with not being able to embrace the gothic subculture and horror bc it was seen as satanic and again, made me a "bad" muslim. sometimes i wanted to be a hijabi, and other times i wanted to do full immodest goth looks, wig and all. it was like a constant pull on my heart, allah or my worldly love for the creepy and macabre. it was always made clear by others i had to choose, and i absolutely couldn't switch between them when i felt like it. i wouldnt stop praying, or saying bismillah before eating, or abstaining from non halal foods, etc, but the immodesty and goth in me would be rejected as kafir.

i don't know how i feel about god as a being. i don't know if he exists, i really don't know what i truly believe. but it felt nice to believe in those moments when i was alone, and no one was there to comment on how i was doing everything wrong...the days where i was out in the sun in full jilbab, sweaty, but smiling, feeling content and like my life had a purpose, a defined path.

today i feel kind of empty and hopeless. i miss parts of islam, but it's meant to be practiced as a whole (they say), not in pieces...and not by ppl like me.

Unpopular BL opinions: MaxTul

Personally, I like them as far as the fmv edits are concerned. It's not so much that I don't like their shows, which I've only watched (and heard of) TWM and MOD, but that I don't understand the hype people have over them or their shows. you could say it's the same with OffGun for me. I like them as actors and as a pair and while the writing of these shows isn't special it's serviceable. I don't follow actors IRL. I don't care enough, nor is it any of my business. I got into both these shows after watching the fmvs and the comments about them being the best and the shows being amazing (it might just have to do with the time ig) but like, yeah they are good but really all they are is better than most others. If you get what I'm saying. I'd love to have seen them in something with a little more budget so I could judge better but now that Tul has retired I don't think I will.

I don't get this 'Kings of Chemistry' status they have and hold coz lbr 2022 gave us so much. And maybe my opinion of them is colored by those shows. Just a little bit.

So the MaxTul shows I watched were Manner of Death and Together with Me. The latter I didn't finish because it was awful. Lol sorry to the fans but the show was boring and poorly made I think I only made it 2 episodes. Manner of Death had an interesting story but was so sloooooooooooow and the direction was awful and the editing was bad and the acting was hella mid. The show needed a better director, and a better budget and it woulda been a better show. The story was 100% there.

I think that's my biggest issue with Max and Tul is they're pretty mid actors to me? I think Tul is a better actor, so it woulda been cool to see him in a series against a better actor than Max (who's like, very average imo). I think they earned the Kings of Chemistry b/c during their era there was a lot of bad or mid chemistry with super chaste or outright dead fish kissing.

I'll hand it to Max and Tul, they can kiss. They def give it their all. They go for broke. But their body of work is from an era that's really rough quality wise and I think a lot of ppl forgive the lack of quality of a show b/c they specifically like the actors of said show. T

I've said before I don't vibe with a lot of GMMTV's shows b/c to be frank, they low-key suck lol they're low budget, and have sound issues, and acting issues, and lighting issues, and editing issues the list goes on and on. They purposely set a majority of them in university to cut down on costs and their stories tend to be boring (to me!!!). hey're the salt-less potato salad of BL shows imo

They rely on the audience's parasocial relationships with their "acting pairs" to carry the show like let's be real, Ohm and Nanon could star in the most basic, poorly produced university BL GMMTV's ever done and fans would still flock to it b/c they wanna see Ohm and Nanon acting together again especially as a couple.

I don't vibe with that personally, I don't give a fuck about acting pairs which is why I shall forever push Apo and Bible in a series together b/c they have amazing chemistry together and they're both solid actors. They would be dope as like rival assassins with contrasting methods who fall in love after being forced to work together (like Hobbs and Shaw but Thai and Gay)!!!

(sidenote not hating on anyone who does like a specific acting pair y'all live your life, live your truth, I support you)

Anyway Max and Tul are like, okay I think both are kinda mid actors in the two series I saw them in both of which I didn't really vibe with but they can smooch so kudos to them hope Tul enjoys retirement legit

Brain has been dumb and was in a bad mood and doubting if I actually like Mike or not so I haven't replied to his texts at all since Saturday. He's at work tomorrow tho so I have to actually text him back and apologize for not replying. How do I say 'brain was being dumb sorry'? 'I have depression and it makes my brain be dumb'...?

Also still wavering back and forth but like I want to at least go on our second date. Which isn't till right before I go on vacation 🤦‍♀️ bc I was like ok we don't have any days off in common for the next 2 weeks let's just pick a day on that available week, then! Instead of going hm could I switch one of my shifts or vice versa?

Anyway I'm going back and forth on the subject bc... I just worry it's like I'm pretending to be someone who could date?? I was having fun with him shadowing me when he was off the clock and I was working and yknow hugs and leaning against and holding hands etc but my boss warned me we should turn it down a bit bc store leadership could have an issue, and it kinda burst the bubble and now I'm like. Ok but is that really *ME* though? Am I being myself around him or am I just being my idea of what someone in a relationship does? Am I putting on a persona? Just like with my customer service persona, it's made from myself but it's not 100% me. And real me dislikes but appreciates someone wanting to text me at least once a day every day to say good morning or whatever updates or comments, and yes I can both appreciate the intention and what it means for a relationship while still being someone who does not like that, and idk what it is but probably bc I feel like there's an expectation to reply, and yes there is because that's how relationships work- not every single message has to be replied to I'm sure, but still. I'm not sure I have the spoons for this, it's socializing, which I don't enjoy even tho I like people and spending time with friends etc.. also we are planning to go to a zoo to see animals and maybe bikeride a bit for the date but eventually people want to do a date at a reastaurant and. the idea of a sit-down date like that makes me squirm uncomfortably. I don't like eye contact outside of brief stuff for specific purposes like talking to the shift lead guy abt a request. It's too intimate, and I dislike it. But other ppl who are not autistic enjoy or expect eye contact ugh ugh ugh!

I'm kinda ok with hand-holding/touching hands (it's nice of I don't think abt it too much, and he does have nice hands to hold idk how else to put that ok).

I'm caught on the whole it's like playing a role thing, bc I am p sure I am doing that bc *it's what I do* and i just worry I'll get tired of it and idk. And then like do we actually work as a couple, do I like him like that. Idk. Am I even cut out for romantic relationships at all. How do I even start to go into 'I'm autistic and adhd, I have anxiety and depression and crohns disease, and I'm also ace as well as pan and nb. And at least grey-aromantic.

Also just. He has queer friends, he asked me abt my pronoun pin and when I indicated no one ever uses they for me despite my liking it as a pronoun, has found ways to in text or out loud, refer to me as 'they' smoothly.

But also he expects to pay for stuff on dates, get my chair for me or a door for me let me go first out a door etc etc. Like. I'm not girl Lite tm! I will present and feel masc sometimes and idk if he knows that, either, like what if I want to look like a guy, will he be uncomfortable going on a date w someone who looks like a guy?

And what made him want to ask me out on the first place anyway?! I don't think I've really spoken to him at all before, so like is it my newly red/pink hair? Is it that I'm dressing more feminine now that it's warm/hot out? (I like floral prints and fun colors! And masc stuff appropriate for work is way too warm in the summer!) Does he get that I'm not a woman, regardless of how I look or sound?

i won't go too in depth with what happened in book 4 bc. well. some ppl here wanna experience mean jamil without having seen his ob. so. continuing on, i think he would only be openly mean around those who were there for his ob. aka kalim, azul, tweels, yuu, n grim. so to others he'd be courteous and kind all the time, but to those people he would have a mean streak- i wouldn't say he'd be mean 100% of the time, it's more like. 40:50 with the 40 him being mean jamil and the 50 him being kind jamil.

nah but now i'm just thinking about him randomly being lowkey mean to yuu aka us the player in a teasing way-

you're walking down the hallway when suddenly you feel yourself trip. you stumble; thankfully your balance doesn't fail you this time and you're able to stay upright. you look back to see jamil, straight-faced as he retracted his foot from where he tripped you. on purpose.

"jamil, you-"

"what're you gonna do, prefect?" jamil's expression doesn't budge but there's unadulterated glee in his eyes as he inches closer to you. "cry about it?"

"come on!" you shove him in the shoulder, though he doesn't budge. "i help you get through your overblot and this is how you repay me?"

"what? would you rather i be fake-nice to you again?" jamil lets a chuckle slip. "c'mon, you're going in the wrong direction if you want to get to the lab supply closet quickly."

"wh- how did you know i was heading there?" you stumble as you try catching up to him– seriously why was he walking so fast??

"lab coat, safety glasses, a list in your hands," jamil rattled off and you feel almost embarrassed for asking. "plus, you're air-headed enough to not notice me standing right next to the door as you went out. is kalim seriously rubbing off on you?"

"shut up," you grumble, and jamil abruptly stops, causing you to bump right into him. "why'd you stop suddenly?"

"it's 'cause we're here, idiot," there's a smirk on his face that you just want to kiss off smack. "seriously, you've been here for a few months, have some self-awareness."

"great seven, if you make one more comment..." you warn as you grab the materials that crewel instructed you to get.

"where's my thank you, prefect?" jamil leaned into your space as you turned around to leave. "are you brutish enough not to thank someone that's aided you?"

"i swear, you're almost as insufferable as grim," you hiss, not backing down from his taunt.

you move closer instead, in a fit of spontaneity and grab his hoodie, pulling him to face you. you quickly press your lips against his cheek before you could second guess yourself.

"is that good enough for you, viper-san?" a spark of delight shoots through you seeing jamil's shocked expression, jaw slack and eyes wide. "i have to get back to class now, so see you later." you dance out of his grasp before he could hold on to you. there's a smile on your face; one of victory at having stunned the jamil viper himself.

what you missed was the way a blush starts to mantle tan skin, the heat a subtle reminder that jamil didn't dislike you at all. he tugged at his hood, using it to cover the blush that he can't possibly get rid off for a while, a soft groan leaving his lips. you always were full of surprises.
