One thing that has happened recently with sonic that I adore is when Sonic does things real hedgehogs do.

Curling up when nervous where only his face is visible. (Obviously sonic is brave by nature so you would hardly ever get this. But still cute.)

My hedgehog, Thistle, sleeps like this. Half curled up.

Hedgehogs are nocturnal and can not see well at all during the day or in bright rooms. If I turn on a light my hedgehogs freeze in place and just stand there like a deer in headlights.

But hedgehogs do navigate their surroundings very well in the dark thanks to their amazing sense of smell and hearing! Even if a hedgehog is blind they can get around surprisingly well! So sonic using his ears to listen for danger is very accurate hedgehog behavior.

And finally, sonic constantly face planting is also very accurate for hedgehogs. Hedgehogs have terrible depth perception and sense of height. If you have a pet hedgehog you should always be around them and watch them carefully so they don’t walk off high ledges or fall off of tables or beds. They will also just run right into walls. While their quills are amazing for absorbing the shock of falls if they land on their face or belly it could be fatal or lead to severe injuries. Thankfully, Sonic is very sturdy.

So, I keep seeing Bdubs' clock addiction get sourced back to 3rd Life, and while he certainly has made it a more exaggerated part of his character since then, that's not when it started.

I've been casually poking through some older content, mostly old ctms, and I was surprised to see this in the Kaizo Caverns series OOGE did in 2012 a whole decade ago. (Episode link).

I'm extremely, and I really cannot stress this enough, extremely new to hermitcraft and I'm sure this clip has been brought up before. But, I'm really curious, does anyone have a source for when the clock thing became a known fact about Bdubs? Google has just brought be back to 3rd life haha.

I actually have one other question for those who are familiar with the mindcrack era, I'm interested in knowing when "Bdubs" became his default nickname. I've noticed it was used in text posts about him from way back, but even then it looked like Boo (or B00) was the preferred shorthand, and I haven't seen anyone around then actually verbally call him Bdubs. Mostly just Bdoubleo or the occasional use of his first name.

Sorry for the wordy post, I'm just very curious about all the little things and I unfortunately do not have the time to watch a years worth of 10-12yo minecraft content haha.

Anyway, imagine if you will, a delighted Rarity wearing a shirt that says “she’s my sweet potato” and a flustered Twilight wearing a shirt that says “yes I yam”

hi just thought everyone would want to know. I think I just made the all time best potatoes anyone has ever made ever. just wanted to share

#boil some russet potatoes in salt water until they’re fork soft #meanwhile heat olive oil in skillet and cook minced garlic and crushed coriander until fragrant #add chili paste to that #smash potatoes until chunky. add olive oil mix #taste. add more olive oil and salt and black pepper. stir stir stir. add some lemon zest and a few squeezes of lime juice #stir more. taste. add a shit ton of this specific seasoning blend from where I work #which consists of garlic powder salt and like. Rosemary basil and I don’t rmemeber what else. think like Italian seasoning #but heavy on the garlic and also it has red pepper flakes in it #taste. adjust seasoning levels as needed. taste a little more bc oh my god #put away for dinner tomorrow but taste a couple more times before you stick it in the fridge bc Oh My God #I don’t even LIKE potatoes very much. like they’re fine but Holy Shit

Don't cry. Chop about 2lbs of sweet potatoes (3 or 4 depending on size) into 3/4 inch pieces (about 2cm), add garlic powder, salt, onion powder, pepper, thyme, basil, and paprika (preferably Hungarian paprika) to taste (or just a tsp of each if you need a measurement) and about a capful of olive oil. Mix until spices and oil cover all sweet potatoes. Place potatoes on a tinfoil lined baking sheet in a single layer and bake at 450F for 25 minutes (Google says that's 232C) until sweet potatoes are tender and have begun to brown. Okay?

#You can peel them if you want but I just scrub them real good #Cooking #Food #I did not like sweet potatoes until I tried this recipe #You can use cooking spray if you want but if you've coated the sweet potatoes properly the olive oil will prevent sticking #The foil is mostly so you don't have to wash your baking sheet
