Two costumes, 20 years apart
Left: Return of the King Arwen-inspired dress, 2003 Right: House of the Dragon Rhaenyra screen accurate dress, 2023
Both of these costumes were based on screen-used dresses, using self drafted patterns and my best attempt at recreating what was seen in the filmed media. Both feature neckline trim with beading applied over top, and screen-accurate jewelry, but that's about where the similarities end.
The Return of the King dress was made fairly quickly, over the course of about a month in the fall of 2003, and used a modified stretch velvet dress I already had on hand. The underdress was drafted from scratch, but a t-tunic shape without set-in sleeves was about the height of my pattern drafting skills at the time. I remember carefully figuring out the shape for the lower sleeve, to get the bell to hang right. Just about every bit of it is polyester. Neither the cut, color, nor fabric is accurate to what's in the movie, but I wanted something that had the feel of one of Arwen's dresses, just for the fun of dressing up for the premiere, and it certainly achieved that.
By contrast, the House of the Dragon dress was made over about 8 months, from January to August 2023. The pattern was drafted from my measurements into a 10 panel princess seam dress, with the waist, hip, and skirt measurements being equal in every panel. Both the red overdress and the black underdress (providing opacity and a modesty panel under the back lacing, but otherwise unseen here) are made from 100% silk fabric. The trim at the neckline and the narrower trim along the vertical seamlines are both polyester, but the beads over the neckline trim are garnet rondelles rather than plastic. The screen-accurate earrings were made by me as well, and along with other purchased jewelry and the wig (also styled by me) complete the over all screen accurate look -- as opposed to whatever earrings I threw on in 2003 and the weird hair color I was sporting at the time, lol.
My sewing and general costuming skills have definitely improved in the last 20 years, but it's interesting to see that both of these dresses have a bit of trouble with the neckline not wanting to lay flat. For the Arwen dress, this was because I didn't yet know how to iron trim to curve it before applying it to a round neckline, and I chose bad trim for achieving that, anyway. For Rhaenyra, the problem was that the V neck was cut on the bias and stretched more than I had anticipated, and I didn't realize it until after the trim was all on and the lacing in the back grommetted right through it. I did look closely at fixing that by taking in the top edge of the center front by a fraction, but I had actually attached the trim so well that I couldn't move that seam without damaging the trim.
The other similarity between these two dresses is perhaps the most important of all: people at the event knew who I was dressed as, and I had an absolute blast wearing both costumes. Still, it's fun to look back at the improvement in my skills over the last 20 years.

RESEARCH: INGRID CALAME- TRACING [PART ONE]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Images: LEFT- LA River process photo- people tracing paint splatter | BOTTOM- color pencil on trace Mylar, 88 x 136 inches / 223 x 345 cm, 2005 [x]]
Ingrid Calame is an American artist whose practise involves tracing. Her process involves “go[ing] to specific locations to trace marks, stains and cracks on the ground on to architectural Mylar [polyester-based tracing film]. From these tracings I make drawings and paintings. I clean the original tracings and layer them on top of each other. Once I’ve piled up the tracings, I place several rectangles of drafting Mylar on top of them. This determines the size of the drawings I will eventually make. I then start to trace the layers of rubbings that are beneath the rectangles, with a different colour pencil for each layer, peeling back the layers one by one until I reach the bottom of the pile.” Her work is process driven, as mine was- she has a process, which she fulfils the steps of, and as she states “the final drawings are always a surprise.” (escapeintolife.com, 2022).
She has a team of people to help her trace. As the tracing was the final product in my work (and I did not have access to a team of people), it was important to me to do the tracing myself, especially in the case of the desk tracing, as I had made those marks myself and also I was representing a variety of textures as well as just tracing outlines.
Calame’s works are “ruminations on time, place, and the human presence.” (jamescohan.com, 2022). The practise of tracing these sorts of marks is relevant to these concepts as the act of tracing is the capturing of a moment in time and place, and the subject matter brings into view what is usually dismissed as not noteworthy- even though we, especially people living in urban areas, see these sorts of “urban stains” all the time. This is a way for us to connect to and our environment. It was very useful to know about an established artist who uses a similar process in their practise.

Any thing you've written....
End of the year
Thank you! I still have your other ask about I Just Think I'll Scream, which made me laugh and which I fully intend to respond to with a snippet of the next chapter, so for now I'll share something from another WIP. It's a drafted scene from Rose...Thou Art Sick, but it's written in the wrong verb tense for the fic and its way ahead of where I actually am in the story 😅.
Context: Sansa is a producer on a show like the Bachelor. Jon is the Bachelor. After a night off with friends, Sansa comes back to the resort where they are filming:
She returns to the resort, buzzing and alone. The lobby is empty except for the night porter, a slim shadow between two columns. The sound of her heels echoes against the pale stone and out through the open veranda, and for a moment Sansa hesitates at the elevator, her fingers floating over the panel, quelling the instinct to float back into the night.
There is something so very final about returning to her hotel room alone.
It's lovely, of course; all muted pink stone and warm wood in elegant, austere lines. It’s a space meant for rejuvenation, or romance, depending on the need. But it’s too quiet now and Sansa knows she won’t sleep, despite the hour.
She flips on the tv and immediately turns it off again. She slides open the door to her balcony, but her room faces a courtyard and what she misses is the sea. Her earrings weigh on her, so she drops them on the nightstand, rubbing the tender lobes. Her fingertips pull away with a smear of blood.
Suddenly, the dress is too tight against her ribs; the polyester coarse against her sensitive skin. A maid has moved the garment bag to a hook in the bathroom, and when Sansa draws the zipper down, she finds silk. A chemise nightgown hangs where the dress had earlier. A smile tugs at her lips.
Arianne, you minx.
Carefully, she peels herself from the dress and hangs it, smoothing her hand once more over the stiff boning, before sliding into the silk negligee. It’s the color of red clay beneath a warm sun, and when her reflection finds her in the broad mirror, she’s transfixed. Alcohol has softened her senses, and made her beautiful beneath the amber light pooling from the sconces behind her. The terracotta of the silk brings out the flush at her chest and her cheeks, complimenting the copper sheen of her hair. She looks younger than she is...a rose in full bloom.
It’s a lovely illusion, but it doesn’t ease the empty, gnawing feeling in the pit of her stomach.
Perhaps a nightcap will.
A decanter of whisky awaits her on a tray in the bedroom, and her smile returns at the note she finds beneath the two rocks glasses.
From my private collection. It tastes better when paired.
XOXO
“With what,” she asks the void, pouring herself two fingers. Her eyes land on the flash drive sitting atop a file folder beside the bed. A sticky note pasted on its front, in Myrcella’s loopy, girlish lettering.
The dailies. Thought you’d want a copy first thing. See notes.
It’s a space meant for romance.
Sansa settles for work.
The dram is delicate and complex. She rolls the liquid over her tongue, and tastes the sea. Cella highlighted several scenes in the camera report in pink highlighter. The finish is clean. Almost austere. She inserts the flash drive, scrolling past the outing to a local market, and the dinner beneath the Dornish stars, to the scenes Myrcella had noted. She takes another sip. Bracing minerality gives way to soft fruit and wet stone. She presses play.
They’re already in the pool. It’s night; their skin glowing golden beneath the lights. Margaery slinks closer, and Jon lets her, dipping his mouth beneath the water. Playing the shark. Sansa will have to ask Arianne for the vintage. It’s like sinking into a rock pool. But with roses. Margaery says something, and it’s a small mercy Sansa doesn’t yet have the sound. She probably can’t afford it anyway. It’s not something you’d pick up at the local liquor store. Jon lurches up and suddenly it’s all rippling back muscles and water gliding down taut skin. It’s rare. Something special.
There’s another shift, and Margaery’s in his lap. Laughing. Kissing. His hand snakes up her bony back, and beneath her tumbling curls. Pulling. Untying. A drop of water. That’s what it needs. To drop the intensity. She closes her laptop, letting it slide across the silk at her thighs, glass forgotten.
It tastes better when paired.
The plastic is cool in her hand and against her ear. The night porter answers promptly. Redirects to his room.
He answers at once. Doesn’t even say hello. Doesn’t even wonder who’s calling.
“Was it enough? Did you get what you needed?”

Based off the Conan Gray song, this is for @summer-writes 200 follower writing challenge!
Tumblr media
Summary: Remus has to control his jealousy for Sirius’ new girlfriend in the wake of a recent heartbreak. Word Count: 968 (sorry... It’s a short song?) Note: This is one of my favorite songs at the moment, and this fic is so angsty I love it. Also I had to rewrite the entire thing because the first draft was done at 1am yesterday and I forgot how to write lol.
Remus breathed in the oaken scent of the common room; the fireplace crackling, chill December air softly cooing outside, students working or reading. He was seated in Sirius’ lap, curled up and reading a book. Sirius smiled, running his hand through Remus’ hair as he read over his shoulder. A particularly cold draft crept through the nearby window, sending a shiver through Remus. Sirius chuckled lightly, moving to remove his sweater and place it over Remus’ shoulders.
“Thank you, love,” Remus muttered, turning his head slightly.
“Of course,” Sirius replied, pulling Remus in a kiss.
A short while later Remus stood, “Come to bed, love.” He held his hand out to Sirius.
“Sure, hun.” Sirius stood, giving Remus another kiss. Remus removed the plush sweater, handing it back to Sirius. “Keep it,” Sirius replied, not bothering to look up from his book.
“Sirius it’s yours. I have plenty of my own.” Remus smiled, trying to hide the growing blush on his cheeks. “Thank you.” He began to walk away.
“Besides,” Sirius added with a wink, “It looks better on you than me.
The next morning before breakfast Remus once again tried to return Sirius’ sweater. “Please,” he murmured awkwardly, “I’m sure it was expensive.”
“Nonsense,” Sirius replied with a flick of his hand, “it’s just polyester.”
Begrudgingly, Remus gave in and returned the sweater to his bed.
***
That was months ago. Now Remus sat alone on the couch. Breathing in the cool spring air in the back courtyard, not paying much attention to the other students. The separation had taken a toll on him, and now he mostly kept to himself.
Remus’ attention was drawn away when he heard someone whistle from across the courtyard. The sound came from none other than Sirius, eyeing up a particular Gryffindor girl. Heather.
Heather Chamberlain had an inadvertent habit of capturing the eyes at hearts of any boy in Hogwarts lucky enough to see her. Her blinding smile, bouncy blonde hair, and sky-blue eyes attracted everyone to her like a magnet. And she didn’t even know it.
Sirius was mesmerized by the very sight of her. Remus was silently crushed as he watched Sirius stand, wearing the sweater that Remus once treasured
“Hey,” Sirius spoke smoothly to the girl, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
Remus rolled his eyes, trying to swallow his sadness and ignore them. That was until he heard Heather’s unmistakable giggling echo against the stone walls. He turned, watching Sirius dip her into a long, passionate kiss. Separating, Sirius wrapped his sweater around her, grabbing her hand as the pair walked off into the castle. A chill went through Remus as he ran off, back to the common room.
Remus silently scolded himself. How could I hate her? She’s lovely! An angel of a person. I should be happy for Sirius! Yet he couldn’t shake the anger growing within him. With every rational though came one of hate, one of harm. It’s truly a horrible thing, wishing someone dead when they bring another happiness. And only out of jealousy at that.
Later that night Sirius came into the room for bed, trying his best to avoid Remus as usual.
Remus stood from his bed, heading over to Sirius. “Hey,” he said, a bit more stern than intended.
Sirius turned on his heel, cocking an eyebrow. “Yes?”
“I didn’t know you fancied Heather Chamberlain.”
“Oh,” Sirius blushed slightly. “Didn’t know that I had to keep you updated on my love affairs.”
“You don’t,” Remus murmured looking down at the floor. His courage rushed back into him and he lifted his head back, staring directly into Sirius’ eyes. “Why would you do that to me?”
Sirius was about to question the statement, when Remus continued his thought.
“I mean, why even bother with me? Why kiss me? Why give me the sweater? I’m maybe half as pretty as she is, and you like her more than you ever did me.”
“You’re really yelling at me over a stupid piece of polyester right now, Remus?”
“Yes Sirius! You left me alone and upset, then turned around and have more going on with Heather in what?... two days than you did with me in almost a year!”
“What is this even about, Remus?” Sirius raised his voice a bit too much, taking a cautionary step back. “Why do you even care that much?”
Remus turned a deep red, turning to the floor. “Perhaps I wish I were in her place. Wish your arm were around me, your sweater on me, your kiss on my lips. I wish I were Heather, Sirius.”
“Remus,” Sirius breathed out, carefully stepping towards Remus. He placed his hand on Remus’ cheek, pulling his gaze upward.
A tear fell from Remus’ eye as he looked at Sirius.
“It was stupid, I’m sorry.”
“Pardon?” Remus choked out, trying not to cry.
“It was to make you jealous. Sure she’s gorgeous and all, but I love you, and only you. I didn’t know how to talk to you, I wasn’t even sure you’d take me back. So I figured I’d get your attention another way.” He paused for a moment, allowing Remus to take in the words. “And as you can see it worked,” he chuckled, earning a cheeky eye roll from Remus.
“You still love me?” Remus asked, trying to make sure he understood correctly.
“Yes, Remus. I love you.”
“I love you Sirius.”
Their lips collided as Sirius pulled Remus towards him. Sirius’ hands cupped Remus’ tear-stained cheeks as they moved in harmony: lost lovers making up for months of sorrow.
They separated, gazing into each other’s eyes. The love was rekindled, the hope renewed, the blind adoration suffocating all other thoughts and woes between them. They had each other back again, and that’s all that mattered.

I've seen some of your post on the bullshit heartbeat bill in your state and I'm just wondering how you're dealing.
I have stared at this ask for a while, wondering whether or not I wanted to get in depth into this conversation. But I do have a lot to say on the matter. A while back I drafted a blog post that I toyed with sharing, but ultimately held off. Until now.
There’s…a lot to be covered.
First, thank you for sparking me to put this out there. I feel as though it’s important enough to say what I have to say on this. And though this platform is usually used for fandom stuff (I use other platforms for my political stuff), I’m not afraid to get real now and again.
Second, let me state that I have a background in medicine and a family heavily involved and working in politics…so I know how this goes.
I’m going to pre-empt this by saying that I am not going to argue with anyone who is pro-life who reads and disagrees. If you agree, great. If you disagree, there is no point in trying to fight me…because we will never see eye to eye.
This is strictly an argument based on why I’m against politics and religion in medicine. I am not looking for a debate here. There is no debate to be had. If you can’t look at things without religion, or if you can’t understand scientific/medical facts it’s a moot point.
It’s a long one. Saddle up.
Religion vs. Medicine:
Christianity should have no place in medicine (the bible condemns polyester blends, playing with pigskin, gambling, and divorce, but Christians still shop til they drop, support football, play the lottery, and divorce their spouses). Yet we get lawmakers constantly using the bible as a talking point (”Thank God” and “As God intended”) for this argument and ignoring testimony from physicians with degrees in science.
Men (with the exception of those whose sperm fertilized an egg in a consensual act) should have no say in what happens inside of a uterus that does not belong to them (and even then, it should be a discussion between those two people and their doctor, not a government made up of religious zealot white women and white-boys without uteri).
The government should not infringe upon individual rights of medical privacy via HIPAA.
Basically:
If you can not argue without the basis of religion (or you keep using “God” or The Bible as your baseline) or if you are not someone who has a uterus or in the medical profession or a woke dude/lady, you have no fucking say.
If you are a Christian forcing your beliefs upon the population based upon a magical book that has absolutely no proof, you have no fucking say. (see Separation of Church and State).
If you are a politician forcing your agenda upon every person with a uterus based upon something you can absolutely never experience, you have no fucking say.
If you do not have a background in science and you’re basing your opinions upon a movie (”Unplanned”) that is nothing more than political propaganda (and a pro-life “advocate” who saw dollar signs and a means to fame) then you have no fucking say (and yes, I’ve seen the film, which was nothing more than a religious backed, over-dramatized flick poorly representing abortions and relied heavily upon cheap emotional manipulation and inaccurate CGI). As someone who has seen medical procedures…it was exaggerated in the film. It is absolutely not a representation of safe and legal abortions. It also does not address the confidentiality between patient/doctor (See HIPAA and the testimony of physicians in this matter).
The fact of the matter is that people who are informed, intelligent, and know about the subject in depth are against these abortion bans, because they know it’s extreme and infringes upon basic rights. This includes women, our allies, and in some cases…people who are religiouswho stand with the pro-choice movement (I see you all, too, don’t doubt that…this is not a reflection upon men and Christians in general. This is about the extremists).
If you fall into the extreme religious or non-medical community category or you are a politician with no medical training and you’re writing bills and arguing against basic human rights…you can shut the fuck up.
***
For the sake of facts, let’s break it down:
-Sexual education can be informative, and the preventatives used to prevent pregnancy can fail. Condoms break. The pill can fail (and let’s not even get into the horrible side effects that contraceptives have on women. Let’s talk about the fact that there was actually a birth control for men that companies tried to put on the market, but the side effects were too ‘dangerous’. Sure, like high blood pressure and hormonal imbalances are something women look forward to). But yeah, let’s put all the responsibility on the woman.
-Women are raped, and given the trauma that occurs…they should not have to PROVE they were raped in order to receive medical treatment…including abortion. It’s horrific enough as it is, and there is NO wrong way to deal with the trauma. They shouldn’t have an additional stigma to be treated medically.
-Women who tend to make the choice to have an abortion have looked at their options and have made an informed CHOICE (that’s what this is about). And it’s not always at the 6-8 week mark, because hey…there are things such as irregular periods. Cis-men hating on women, let’s talk about women’s reproduction for a minute. Have you ever spent 7 days bleeding out of an orifice of your body? Have you ever shed the lining of an internal organ? Have you ever had blood clots inside of your body that feel like fucking death? Have you ever had your panties soaked in blood? Have you ever gotten stressed and missed a period or had medical issues that caused you to have irregular cycles? No? Okay, so how about the stressors of pregnancy? How about the changes a woman’s body goes through? How about the emotional and physical toll it takes? Truth is, hetero-normal men who are so deep-set in their beliefs will NEVER view women as equal. Reality is…we women areintelligent enough to make our own decisions.
-An embryo at 6-8 weeks is not viable. The so called “heartbeat” is an electrical activity in a group of cells that is at maximum a few inches long. There is no heartbeat, because there IS no heart. It hasn’t formed. There is not a cardiovascular system. It’s a vibration in a cell. It is ONLY active because of the woman. At this point it is NOT a child. I see pro-life/pro-birth people going, “but…but SCIENCE…Life at conception!” without understanding the depth of their actual words. The medical community knows their shit. And people can challenge them all they want with their opinions upon when life is sentient, but the truth is that there is no brain activity this early because IT IS NOT A HUMAN. It is an embryo, which can not exist without the mother’s body. Yet politicians use the term “heartbeat” because they know there are uneducated people out there who will eat it up and back them.
-Abortion is situational, and trying to force a law upon women based upon the preconceived notion that ALL women are using it as a form of birth control is ignorant, ill-informed, and extremely sanctimonious. There are numerous reasons for abortion, and none of them are the government’s fucking business.
Why religion and politics is a slippery slope in medicine:
Using a religious bias in a political war is against everything in the judiciary and legislative branch, and it is a slippery slope that is dangerous to patient care. When we start listening to “Gods” and evangelical people over actual physicians there is a huge problem. Ask yourself this question: if you were dying and a surgery could save your life…would you call a priest to perform the procedure? Or a licensed physician? If you choose a priest, enjoy seeing your version of the afterlife, because you’re going to die.
Abby Johnson (”Unplanned) is not a doctor. She is someone who “found God” and is using that to exploit the situation with her own views as a claim to fame. She ran a Planned Parenthood (in her own words). ONE chapter, which means it’s a FRACTION of the actual unit. She does not have a PHD. Her accusations against physicians are bullshit and is frankly an insult to actual doctors who perform safe medical procedures every day.
Politicians have no knowledge of medical protocols and treatments (and in a lot of cases know an embarrassingly low amount about women’s reproductive organs). And in many cases it is old white men (and religious white women) dictating what a woman can do with her body. If you think that’s okay, you’re part of the problem.
Religious zealots hold fast to beliefs written in a fairytale rather than learn the scientific facts associated with the base of their argument. They can’t grasp the concept that an organism can be created in a petrie dish with a “beating heart”, because of muscle contractions, not because it’s “alive” or “sentient”. They would rather blindly follow a God that may or may not exist rather than listen to educated physicians who know the topic.
Rapid fire question: if an unconscious woman and a frozen embryo were in a burning building and you could only save one of them, which one would you choose? Something that is not aware and is only a potential for life? Or the actual living breathing human?
This shit is not about “saving babies”. Politicians couldn’t give a shit about babies after they are born. It’s about controlling women/trans-folk and telling people what they can do with their body (it’s funny how Republican politicans haven’t outlawed smoking or drinking, because hey…that kills you! “AnD wE aRE PRo-LiFE!”).
Anyone who can’t see that all these abortion laws are just plays for politicians to pursue their own political pursuits is an idiot.
A Note about Georgia’s Abortion Law/Kemp
In my state, there was talks that Kemp was overheard saying that even if he wanted to veto the bill he couldn’t due to “his campaign promises”. Which is absolute bullshit, because given the polls…he knew that a majority of the people in his state are against it. This bill was co-sponsored by three men and three women who are basing it heavily upon religious purposes (if you don’t believe me, look up Ed Setzler, he’s been quoted several times leaning on religious propaganda for this bill). It was then voted through by a bunch of old white men.
Tumblr media
Convenient how they threw the one token woman up front (but honestly, fuck her…because she should know better). The fact of the matter is that those who voted on this are a bunch of “good ole boys” with religious principles trying to bypass the fact that there is a separation of church and state. This bill has had numerous polls conducted to the constituents, and while they were divided…the PRO-CHOICE voice won every single poll. Put this up for a vote and I guarantee this would not become a law.
Kemp waited weeks to sign this (unlike the governor of Alabama).
Why?
Because he knew that most of his constituents were against this (given the polls that were conducted), but due to political pressure he couldn’t veto for fear that he’d lose the religious/deeply rooted republican votes. Even Kemp seemed to realize that this is against the moral rights of his citizens. But he doesn’t give a shit. Because as long as his pockets are lined with money and he can ignore his constituents, it’s all gravy for him.
To take this a step further, this asshole is the man who pointed a gun at a kid jokingly in an age where school shootings are rampant, as a joke…for political purposes. Cuz, ya know…violence is funny.
Tumblr media
He’s “pro-life” but he shoots things.
This man is sponsored by the National Hunting and Fishing association, who supports killing living breathing things with a heartbeat for sport or “because it tastes good”.
I challenge anyone who is so “pro-heartbeat” to never shoot their guns again to kill something. Because hey, life is so precious to you, right? You value heartbeats so effing much, stop killing living breathing things. Nut up or shut up.
Actually, no, don’t nut up. That’s the reason for unplanned pregnancies in the first place. Just shut up.
…that will never happen. And you want to know why?
Because this is not about life. They don’t give a shit about “life”. This is about power. This is about control.
If you can’t see that an entire gender is being used for political gain then you need to wake the fuck up.
I’ll end this by saying that, yes, there might be some common ground that can be found here. In the people out there fighting every day for their rights. In the allies we have coming out of the woodworks. In the physicians who fought like hell for us in court.
I’m not an unreasonable person. I do believe in sensible laws. These bans are not sensible. They’re a power play. And that’s fucked up. And as much as I’d love to pack up and leave, I don’t have that option. A lot of people don’t (and in fact, I think the “Boycott GA” movement is so fucking stupid, because that doesn’t hurt the people in power. It hurts the PEOPLE).
So if you’re pissed off, remember this at the polls. Know who your reps are. And if they are for this bullshit, vote their asses out.
Flip their fucking seats.
I’m tired, you guys. Let’s get our rights back. Let’s take our state back.

Mylar mirrors can be prepared from the metalized Mylar roll stock - silver Mylar is made by a deposition of aluminum onto 1 side of the Mylar. There are many types of plastic film is in utilization today. They are manufactured in an assortment of styles and finishes.33° C to over 148. They make a great reflective exterior - not a true mirror in any sense - just a cool gleaming exterior. Advise spray bonding agent for growing to flat surface. It is appropriate for coil winding interleaving and insulation, and cryogenic window applications. The various kinds of finishes on Mylar sheets that are done are Clear, White, Low, and Moderate to High Haze, Black. Mylar is occasionally misspelled as "miler".0005" or 12 um to . Because of its inherent physical properties which are very useful, it's the preferred choice for a good performance plastic sheet. This film is anti-static and accepts ink or lead, erases austerely and provides brilliant dimensional constancy. Mylar polyester sheets and films are static to water and act as a dampness barrier in addition to being impervious by oil, grease and nearly all aromatics. Mylar Film is supremely matched for a large variety of uses which may include casing, printing air layer fabric manufacturers of stuff, die-cutting, defensive overlay, barrier shield, clothing and other trade applications. There are a plenty of Mylar sheets available in the market today, such as Plain, Anti-static, Adhesion treated, Metalized and Barrier coated.014" or 350 um.Plastic Film is a broad term for any polymer substance that is cast, extruded or calendared into a broad slender film like material. The thickness of a Mylar sheet differs from . Mylar is a polyester based film with a non-glossy semi-transparent drawing exterior on 1 side.88° C, and given that Mylar polyester has no plasticizers, it is obvious that it won’t become fragile or golden with time under any sort of conditions. Extensively used in trade, drafting and architectural usages.
