Here's the blue eye samurai fic teaser for chapter one because i said so. (Also because of the poll.)

WARNING: Chapter contains mentions of the following.

Rain poured down the dark, stormy sky creating an intense atmosphere. Two boys were running, water cascading down their features as they tried to get away from the children that relentlessly hurt them. They were only hurt because they were different. No one saw them as human.

Both the boys wore white origami glasses to try to cover their faces, but it didn’t work. The boy with black hair held the other boy’s hand, leading him to hide behind a building. Both were unaware of the footprints they made in the mud, but they had no time to care. The black haired boy pulled the other down to crouch next to him, and held him close as if to protect him.

The other boy, who had h/c hair, clung to the top part of the black haired boy’s blue kimono. The h/c haired boy whipped his head to where they had both come from to hide, listening in for any footsteps. He pulled the black haired boy up when he heard the children coming for them. The two ran once more, not looking back.

They continued to run, passing through a forest path and the children getting closer to them. The black haired boy looked back slightly, but the h/c boy stopped running and stumbled slightly. The two had reached a cliffside. At the end of that cliffside was a relentless sea, waves crashing that could tear anyone apart if they were to fall in.

The two stared out to the sea horizon, hand in hand until the leader of the children spoke. The h/c boy hid behind the black haired boy as they both turned around.

“You wanna go?”

The group of kids got closer, and the boy with a hair bun continued to speak. The h/c haired boy closed his eyes, not wanting to face the children and the black haired boy held him close.

“Go ahead.”

The boy with the hair bun’s mouth turned into a smirk, showing his teeth. The boy with h/c hair let out a shuttered breath, trying to plan something to get him and his friend out of this mess.

“Just jump.”

With that the children took a step closer, causing the black haired boy and the h/c haired boy to take a step back. They both glanced back down to the roaring sea, contemplating the height if they were to fall. The boy with h/c hair kept his gaze down at the sea, while the black haired boy pushed his paper glasses up his face. He gently squeezed the h/c boy’s hand, assuring him that everything will be okay. Another one of the children spoke, holding out his wooden katana.

“You think you can fight us?”

The h/c haired boy perked up when the child said this. Fight? The h/c boy looked to his friend. Those blue eyes that he could barely see were stained with a protective glow. He was doing this for him, and all the h/c boy was doing was cowering in fear.

This was not the same boy that wandered far and wide just to find the blue-eyed boy in Kohama. This was not the same boy who lived in a brothel for the first five years of his life. He needed to change that, right now. So before the kid with the wooden katana spoke again, the h/c boy turned to face the children and their smug faces which fueled the growing rage in his heart.

“Two orphans?”

The boy with h/c hair widened his eyes behind the paper classes. That cruel reminder. The boy with the hair bun took this as his cue to walk up to the two of them.

“I know what you both are.”

The both of them were seemingly confused by this statement. What was meant by that? What insult would they have to endure? The boy with the hair bun turned his head slightly, referring to the boy with black hair.

“Your whore mother killed herself because your father is a white devil.”

The boy with the hair bun then turned his head to the h/c haired boy who was still hiding behind the black haired boy. He watched the leader get closer.

“And you. You ran away because your father is no different, a devil from another land.”

The children behind the lead boy all laughed. The h/c haired boy gripped the black haired boy’s kimono tighter, being reminded of his cruel past. The black haired boy clenched his fists, and lunged at the group. The h/c haired boy’s eyes widened at the sudden action of his friend.

The black haired boy had tackled the boy with the bun in his hair to the muddy floor. The h/c haired boy panicked, not sure if he should intervene or not. The black haired boy was then picked up and tossed into one of the other kid’s arms being redacted of movement. The boy with h/c hair finally made up his mind and punched the boy with the wooden katana as they were about to strike his friend.

He and his black haired friend started to fight back, trying to land a hit or two. It was futile as they were brought to their knees on the muddy floor and punched in the face, their paper glasses falling off their eyes to reveal what they truly were to the group. The two of them sat up from and looked up at the boy with the hair bun, anger filling both. The boy with the hair bun gazed down at both of them with disgust.

“Told you. Round eyes.”

The boy with the hair bun then walked closer, tilting his head slightly to get a better look at the two boys’ eyes. One with blue eyes and the other with e/c eyes.

“Like a dog.”

The children started to chuckle at the statement. The blue-eyed boy scowled and the boy with e/c eyes got closer to his friend. The two kicked the boy with the hair bun in his legs, causing him to fall to the floor next to a rock. Enraged by their actions, the boy with the hair bun picked up the rock he fell next to, holding it over his head as he stood up.

Both the boy with e/c eyes and the boy with blue eyes stared on in panic. The boy with blue eyes gripped his friend’s s/t hand, preparing for the impact of the rock. A rumbling from the sky stopped everyone’s movements. The children stared at the sky as a blue and e/c light started coming closer.

It soared overhead and landed not too fair from the group, a mix of blue and e/c dust in the air. There was a trail in the ground, steaming and tinted a blue and e/c color. The children started to disperse, unsure what had happened and the impact startling them. The last to leave was the boy with the hair bun, panting and limping away from the two boys.

The blue-eyed boy got up, taking the hand of the e/c eyed boy and led him behind a rock. He held the e/c eyed boy close as the two coughed. Their bodies ached with bruises from the fight. The two stayed huddled together, the boy with blue eyes protecting his friend that he held in his arms.

Other notes: Y/n is incredibly clingy to Mizu and will do anything she says or asks. He comes from a seemingly similar background that Mizu has, but was raised by Madame Kaji. While in Madame Kaji's care, Y/n learned how to play the shamisen and the koto. Y/n played all the time in the brothel, and all the workers loved hearing the boy play. Y/n then left to find Mizu and befriended her. Ever since he found her, he has been stuck by her side forever and had always tried to protect her. Y/n is 2nd best next to Mizu, but the both are undefeatable as it seems. Y/n wears similair clothing like Mizu does, but the coloring is e/c. He also wears a large hat and orange glasses to cover his eye color. Y/n caries an e/c sword just like Mizu does, but his sword has flower petals engraved in it instead.
