The Phantom of the Opera Ugandan Premiere
The Phantom of the Opera will premiere in the capital city of Kampala, Uganda in May 2024 starring Peace Ayikoru and Joy Victoria Geria as Christine, as well as Mukiza and Gilbert Byamugisha as the Phantom.
I'm not seeing a ton of information like further casting, I believe this is associated with or using the performance spaces of Makerere University in Kampala. But the use of the full face mask logo makes me think this is actually the ALW/Hart/Stilgoe version

I wonder how many Gelphie fanfics there are made by musical only fans that make Elphie’s dad homophobic.
I feel like he’s the character that seems the most homophobic in the musical so they’d assume.
Little do they know of the traveling Quadling glassblower so hot that he pulled both of Elphaba’s parents despite not even speaking English very well.

i just realized book nessa's shoes are neither silver or ruby... they are made of silver glass beads. which enhances the refractive effect as there's a lot of emphasis on that esp reflecting red. silver-lined i assume. the musical apparently makes then explicitly glow under red light with elphaba's magic but the effect is not permanent
like if these if they were covered in these
historically, woz was written in 1900, i found an shoe circa 1900 from the netherlands, and other antiques, i don't know if they're wearable. but the style remind me of the one in the movie. yay they did something right? i also see beads all over kind of... i know turtle heart the glassblower won't exist in movie universe but it's cool

on tuesday. I found out an elderly patron at the theatre I work at passed away. his wife told me over the phone and I was so sad because I'd come to really like them both a lot :( she's still going to come see the shows though
