Hi, everyone! Happy Fourth of July weekend! 🎇

Since many Americans have a long holiday weekend (mine is 4 days off—woo-hoo!), I wanted to post something substantial for those looking for a good comedy read.

And what a read it is! In my longest interview yet, I chatted with Jordan Cooper, who has been providing fascinating archival materials on Reddit for fans of one of my favorite sketch comedy troupes—The Whitest Kids U' Know!

Jordan has known the five guys (Sam, Timmy, Darren, Zach, and Trevor) for more than two decades, and he is a fountain of knowledge on the aughts underground NYC comedy scene at such venues as Pianos and UCB. He's also seen or interacted with like every major comic, including Anthony Jeselnik, Maria Bamford, Kristen Schaal, and John Mulaney for starters.

Apart from his stint as the tech guy for WKUK shows, Jordan has had his own successful career in singing and songwriting AND he acts as a background extra in a number of TV shows and films. Plus, he has a fantastic deep-dive TMBG podcast. So freaking cool! 🤯

Astrology of Classical Music : Composers & Pianists

Hello Music and Astrology lovers !

My astrological observations about the following composers and pianists from classical repertoire:

Composers: Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven, Bach

Present pianists: Richard Clayderman, Lang Lang, HJ Lim, Lola Astanova.

This list is based on some of my favorite composers and pianists from the classical repertoire. Of course, if other classical pianists are added, it may change or confirm certain astrological features.

The same way, musicians from other styles (jazz, rock, pop, etc.) may have different planetary traits.

Below are listed the frequent astrological features present in at least half of these musicians.

In bold is a predominant aspect that appears in most of these charts and that I consider to be important.

Neptune: gives musical inspiration and sensitivity

-Sun/Moon aspecting Neptune or in Pisces

-Venus/Mercury aspecting Neptune, in Pisces or 12H

-Dominant Neptune (angular or strongly aspected)

Saturn: gives discipline and perseverance

-Sun/Moon aspecting Saturn or in Capricorn

-Venus/Mercury aspecting Saturn, or in Capricorn

Mars: gives energy and passion

-Saturnian Mars (Mars aspecting Saturn or in Capricorn), Plutonian Mars (Mars aspecting Pluto, in Scorpio or 8H)

For some mysterious reasons, Mars is often Saturnian AND Plutonian within the same chart... must give strength and passion to the composition and interpretation!

-Mars in Cardinal sign, in Air sign

Venus: defines our sense of aesthetic

-Plutonian Venus (aspecting Pluto, especially conjunction/trine, or in Scorpio)

-Mercurian Venus (conjunct Mercury, in 3H or 6H)

-Venus in Water signs

Jupiter: leads to social recognition and notoriety

-Jupiter aspecting Sun (Moon), especially conjunction/trine/opposition

-Jupiter in Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), in Air sign

Uranus: gives uniqueness and inventivity

-Uranus-Mercury aspect

-Dominant Uranus (angular or strongly aspected)

Sun: defines our identity, how we express ourselves to the world

-Sun-Mars aspect (square/opposition/trine/sextile)

-Sun conjunct Venus

-Sun-Moon aspect

Mercury: colors our expression through music

-Mercury in Air sign

-Mercury aspecting Mars

-Mercury aspecting Moon

Lunar Nodes: represent our evolution axis, from our natural capacities (South Node) to qualities we are going to develop (North Node)

-Martian, Lunar, Saturnian, or Neptunian Nodes (aspecting Mars, Moon, Saturn or Neptune, or in their corresponding signs)

-Lunar Nodes in Cancer/Capricorn axis, in Earth/Water axis (Taurus/Scorpio, 2H-8H, Virgo/Pisces, 6H-12H, Cancer/Capricorn, 4H-10H)

Additional observations:

Inner planets, Jupiter and Lunar Nodes in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) or houses (1H, 4H, 7H, 10H)

Majority of planets, especially personal planets, below horizon

Child labor in the entertainment industry is obviously bad, but MAN watching old movies and seeing someone who was clearly in vaudeville acts as a child pull out the most spectacular talent you've ever seen is something we just don't have an equivalent for anymore
