as someone who has suffered from chronic depression since they were a child, Bo Burnham's Inside made me feel so many things -- and inspired some simple sketches!
it’s been nearly three years since Inside came out an I have not stopped thinking about it. Just the fact that Bo came back at one of the most stressful terrible times to give us a piece of completely raw human emotion kills me. every time I watch Inside (especially the outtakes) I cry, it’s just so real an vulnerable. It speaks volumes about our society and culture, just the way we interact with other, ourselves and media. Its gorgeous! The cinematography and lighting make me scream and he did it all himself!!!!!!!!!! It’s amazing! And then he just went away again. I’m not sure if he knows how much it impacted people (he probably does), but he just went back to being normal. It’s crazy and I hope he is well. ok gonna go keep thinking about this. Also I didn’t proofread this so sorry if it’s bad/strange.
Hey hey ummm I just wanna say I really love comedy. I love comedians. I love Bo Burham and John Mulaney and Taylor Tomlinson and Mitch Hedberg. I love comedy. Please talk to me.
Love this, and Bo and Weird Al actually know each other well! 👀
If you'd like to learn more, check out my article about them here. Two of my favorites, and I would love to see them collaborate on something in the future! ✌🏼🐔
he's really happy / he's thrilled to be alive / his name is al yankovic in 1985 🎵
It's the PREMIERE of Demetri Martin's new comedy special Demetri Deconstructed today—woo-hoo! 🙌
Yes, it's Demetri's first special since I last saw him perform right before the pandemic (February 2020).
I'm SUPER excited to see if any of his jokes from that show in Atlantic City made it into the final product—I remember there was one about damning cabinet doors that was particularly hysterical!
Because of Demetri releasing a new special (seriously...his last one was in 2018, so it's been awhile lol), I am going to FINALLY post an article I half-wrote back in December:
10 Fun Facts about Demetri Martin!
And maybe I'll finally do my Demetri and Bo Burnham piece this month...we'll see.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the new Demetri Martin Netflix special, and keep it here for more comedy fun! ✌🏼🐔
Good morning! It's the PREMIERE of Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show TONIGHT! 🙌
I've been busy with my new job and packing (moving to my new home on Sunday—woo-hoo!), but I couldn't miss this one...I mean, I was at one of the performances he filmed back in 2022 haha
And we may finally learn WHY Bo was wearing that ski mask at the Emmys! 🤯
Anyway, here is a roundup of all the media I've found pertaining to the show and Jerrod:
Not me finding an old art project and actually deciding to finish it! (I forgot to take a before pic but this is today’s progress - it didn’t have the all eyes on me drawing or the writing on the other page)
It was slightly close before (That first sip feeling.), but there's no mistaking the similarity in wording this time around!
Damn companies always trying to rip off Bo 😭
If you'd like to see more interactions between Bo and advertising, be sure to check out my article on the topic (and, yes, I'm definitely going to add this new one lol) ✌🏼🐔
Hey, everyone! I've been super busy with my new job, but I wanted to make sure you are all aware of the newest Bo Burnham content:
Jerrod Carmichael's Reality Show!
Yes, that's Bo with a bag on his head (as well as the infamous ski mask from the Emmys two years ago)—the voice modulation makes it even more obvious after AEOM.
I'm especially excited about this show because I saw Jerrod filming it at City Winery when I saw him perform after seeing KATE for the first time (busy night for me haha)!
If you'd like to learn more about Jerrod's fur coats and the amazing Emmys award ceremony, you can check out my article (and many others about his clothing or lack thereof).
And don't forget to watch Reality Show when it premieres later this month! ✌🏼🐔
