ultimately tho i find some of the most cringe people on here to be the same ones who engaged in the misogynistic moral panic a few years ago surrounding parents (namely mothers) talking about regretting having children and that this is the fault of the evil childless wenches who decide to not have children and dislike them (who make up the majority of child abusers in these people’s minds and not like. People who claim to love children and constantly want to work with them/be around them). It was insane to see people like ev*lrashida and tr*pcard and fluores*nsitive Going Awf about the evil women who only have children to abuse them and neglect them later in life as if unintended pregnancy and coerced parenthood aren’t things that routinely happen and were especially common… can’t wait for those users to kill themselves fr

So I have a new supervisor - again lol - and it’s someone I know a bit more personally. We went to some of the same MLIS classes, she’s worked with my mom, etc. So I do feel like this could be good.
I sent her an email this morning asking a question I felt might be an odd one with an obvious answer but… just wanted to check. And I felt I could! (My old supe - not the prev but the one before - had just told me to order more, when I mentioned the door counter wasn’t working and I thought it was the batteries but was having a hard time finding them.) I realized this morning that I could order them from the product website which meant I could use the PCard! But it was more expensive than a certain evil website that I had been using bc it was the only place I could find 3.6v batteries - and which we can’t use the PCard so I’d have to ask the FotL for more money.
So I asked if she knew if there was a preference or a workaround I may be unaware of.
Turns out… you just email someone in admin and ask for them. They have them for us already. We just email and ask.
I could have been doing that all along.
Anyway I thanked her and joked about how much easier that was!
And she said “I am realizing the disparity of information people have received” like haha. Ha.
Yeah…. I think we’ve noticed it but not realized HOW MUCH that’s an issue.
