ok ok so my professor came up to me before class a few weeks ago and i was a little worried when she brought up the short writing assignment I did the day before on Unpacking but after I confirmed that I wrote it she smiled and told me how a guest lecturer was going to take up that exact game as part of their lectures on LGBTQ+ videogames and I shit you not I was so excited.

SO flash forward to now and that guest prof just finished their intro lecture, mentioning how their next one will actually focus on the game. After the lecture I walk up to them in all my youtuber merch glory, introduce myself, mention the writing assignment (which apparently the guest prof already knew about bc my prof told them??? crazy) and the prof asks me what I think about the game, and I think they were kinda hinting about the ex-boyfriend's room and how they were going to discuss the story implications of it???

but apparently I was one step ahead of them and told the prof about how I was inspired from a "streamer I watched" (cough RTGame cough) and how I've found that level 100% more enjoyable when I stopped giving a shit and just messed with the boyfriend's shit, inconveniencing him however possible and guys. GUYS.

the way the professor's eyes LIT UP dude, they even giggled when I told them about folding the boyfriend's fancy suits and placing his coffee shit on the highest shelf, and they told me that they were going to open their game just to replay that level and try what I did and man. MAN.

this lecturer has no involvement with my actual grade, but I definitely feel like I just got an A+ in making that prof's DAY.

The Security Breach Show is basically one giant role play just via vr (which is rather cool).

They are, and I hope all the people participating in them are having fun.

All the Shows are a big silly fanfic basically! With surprising amount of very serious lore! (and a not so surprising amount of angst, lol)

And they post so often too! Like daily (not sure if all the shows do so, but the ones I know do), which is a lot if we think about it. Which of course may lead to plotlines not being satisfactory enough. But we always do have to remember, that these people are doing this for fun! And are spending so much of their personal time working on their roleplay chanels, that I don't know how they might manage. Let's not forget that they also have their own personal lives aswell.

Like, maybe this is also a job for some of them, but they still started the chanel to have fun! So we should all aim to express our opinions in a respectful manner. And enjoy the ride they take us on, hovewer bumpy that may be.

sometimes I wish you could post an opinion on a fandom blog without inviting a whole witch hunt or being accused of causing drama but alas

#I've not done anything and i won't do anything #it's just something that's annoying?? that you can't say anything without someone doing a bad faith interpretation of it #or projecting it on themselves or getting offended on behalf of a fictional character #the few times i saw someone actually say something slightly controversial all hell broke loose every time #like great that you're passionate but not everything is about you #not everything needs your opinion - especially if you can only give it like a lecture #not everything has malicious intentions #people disagreeing with you have a right to their opinions as well - as long as you respect theirs they should respect yours #the thing is - i don't think I've ever been in a fandom that didn't have to deal with like ship wars or someone doing hate campaigns #of a character or ship - i guess that's just the way it is??#but here it feels especially tiring because people don't usually disagree on ships #people are literally fighting and hating each other mainly over the same two characters!!! and their different interpretations of them #people disagree over what the right and moral way is to portray and ship those characters #and it creates so much tension because you can't associate with those people because they're doing it wrong #and are acting fucking awful about it #but those people are very exclusionary and if you don't agree with all of their points they don't want to talk to you either #you just float along hoping that you'll find some people who have a similar interpretation and will actually talk to you #it's so weird??? it's so isolating too??#and it feels like you entered a political landscape in your online fandom space #i will probably delete this and I'm not even sure my thoughts make sense #my thoughts spiralled a bit from thinking how some fan interpretations annoy me into disliking a character hahaha

What jobs do you think Max and Chloe got after the storm?

I headcanon that the girls do side gigs for awhile while they figure out what they want from life.

Chloe does everything from mowing lawns to helping first-timers dye their hair. She'll do anything for money as long as she gets fair pay.

Max is a little more selective on what she does, but she still has a wide variety of jobs. Sometimes she helps people bake stuff for the local bake sale and others she's walking three poodles around a park. It really depends of the day.

Eventually they decide to commit to an occupation for the rest of their twenties. Chloe works as a part time mechanic and part time tattoo artist while Max is a freelance photographer.

Though in her early thirties, Chloe decides to go to collage to become a child therapist for kids and teens going through difficult times. At about the same time Max's photos are really starting to get attention and she's offered a teaching role at a local university. She takes it as she wants to be a good teacher. One students can rely on and trust. Unlike the man who gave her enough trauma to pay her therapists rent a hundred times over.

what if you were a girl trying to change her major and you wanted to take a class but your schedule from hell said no. and you were also on the verge of a mental breakdown

#i want. to change my major #but I don't know how much I will like this new major and I am hesitant to just jump right in and start it #so I was like ah I should take a class from the new major along with my old major classes #so if I like my current/old major I can keep going with it #and if I like the new major then I actually know #that way I'm not going in blind and risking hating it especially this new major I'm trying is a difficult major #but the only way to take this specific class is to drop the class with my favorite teacher in it :(#i don't even know. if I like my major or not. Like maybe I just do. Idk I'm like. It's okay but I'm not passionate about it #I don't know what the fuck I wanna do #i could take this other class at 9am that's super gross I guess #but then that leaves me with a single hour lecture in the middle of the afternoon on Thursday #and I know me. there's a very high chance I will just skip it and sleep in #Or I could just continue with my current classes #But then either I A. Do the sample next semester which is bad bc if I already hate my major I don't wanna keep doing it next semester #Or B. I immediately switch my major and go in blind which I don't wanna do either in case I hate that too!#Also issue with the 9am class: it's a lot of calc and physics and I don't.
