I want to make a request, I hope its okay. I will like to request for Rantaro, Shuichi and Kaede finding out that soon will be their s/o's birthday but they didn't tell them because s/o is used to that their family just doesn't give much importance to their birthday and don't do nothing too special for it

• he's been preparing a very special gift for you for many, many months now and has had the day of your birthday marked down in all his calendars • "of course i remembered your birthday" he chuckles and plants a kiss on the top of your head. "how could i not? out of the 365 days in the year this is my favorite one." • even though you didn't remind him, he knew it was your birthday. i guess he just has his ways as a guy who's pretty savvy at a lot of things ;-) • "you should open up the present i got you babe. i need to see your pretty face light up with excitement" • inside the intricately wrapped box he hands to you there's a scrapbook. inside there are love notes and memorable photos of the two of you that were clearly well thought out. it must've taken him a while! • "wait.. wait.. that's not all, you think i wouldn't spoil you a little on your big day? c'mon baby, i know you know me better than that." he gives you a little wink as he hands you a small gift bag with crinkled paper sticking out at the top • you're pretty overwhelmed with emotion at this point, as the amount of effort that he's put into this is not really what you're used to. he reaches his arm around you to hold you while you dig into the bag. • "i've thought of you every time i've traveled this past year. when i visit new places, i try to find souvenirs that you'd like. so... what do you think?" • you hold up a necklace, bracelet, and a keychain that contain references to an island that he's visited recently • "i hope you love it, you know i just wanna make you happy. i love you. now, where do you wanna go for dinner? i'll take you anywhere, it's my treat." he puts one of his hands on your cheek, his expression soft as he leans his head in to give you a gentle kiss Shuichi Saihara:

• you get a call from your boyfriend shuichi. you pick up the phone and he answers with, "hey y/n, i wanted to take you out today... can we meet in like, an hour? if that's okay with you, of course..." he sounds a little nervous on the phone. "i got it all covered, just stand outside and i'll swing by to take you on an adventure." • at first you think to yourself, "well, shuichi didn't mention my birthday... does he know it's today? or are we just going on a date?" • once you get ready for the day out, your boyfriend waits outside for you just as planned. his entire face lights up when he sees you and he's blushing so hard you can see it through the tinted window of his car 😭 • "oh wow, uhm... you're so ... attractive..." he's stumbling on his words and is struggling to maintain eye contact with you as you get in the passenger side of his car. it's just the two of you and you put some songs on the aux as he drives you • "your outfit," he can barely focus on much else but you. "i... love it. you look super nice..." he gives a light laugh and puts a hand on your leg • when you ask him where you two are going, to which he replies, "oh, you'll see, it's a surprise!" • after driving for a little, you see that he's taken you to an aquarium. it's a really scenic area and you're excited to go on a romantic excursion with your boyfriend

• "wait, um, before we go in, can i show you something? it's actually in my trunk." he opens up the back of his car and it's literally full of gifts. like. you're shocked at the pure volume of gifts he's brought you. • "surprise, love..! happy birthday... i'm sorry if it looked like i forgot, i promise i'd never ever. i stayed up all night wrapping these and making sure i could get things just right..." • you practically yourself into his arms, and he holds you close against his chest. "now, let's go have a good day. you deserve it after all" Kaede Akamatsu:

• you wake up on the morning of your birthday with approximately 50 message pings on your phone. they're all text messages from your girlfriend kaede- • one of the first things you read is "i'm so so sorry if i woke you up, but i needed to let you know that i'm thinking about you on this very special day... happy birthday my angel!" • the rest are all long, extensive messages about how much she loves and appreciates you, and how she's going to make this day memorable for you

• after getting ready for the day, she knocks on your door to come visit. she won't stop reminding you it's your birthday, making sure you feel the love you deserve • it's clear that she's been planning out what she wants to do to surprise you for literal months now • she planned a surprise party at her place that she's about to take you to, one with all your mutual friends that she's planned the events, catering, and activities for • "don't worry hon... i'm sure you'll love what's to come." she gives you a swift wink and kisses your cheek. • when you two arrive at kaede's place, you get surprised by all of your friends and a well decorated living room, kitchen, and hallway • "surprise! i thought i'd plan this out for you so i could make your day extra special... i love you so much, y/n. please never forget how much you mean to me, and to everyone else." • the rest of the day, kaede showers you with a ton of physical affection and makes sure everything goes according to plan. she even baked the cake from scratch and made sure to decorate it in a personable way for you :') • "okay look... i know the cake doesn't look professionally made but it's made with love" she laughs and she gives you a warm hug. the cake is actually really tasty, despite the slightly lopsided look <3

Fake dating to piss off Shuichi's parents

Clown: Thinking about shuichi lamenting to his friends about his parents always needling him about a girlfriend/ getting a different job/ settling down. And he makes the vauge suggestion of considering taking anyone home just to shut them up And (maybe rantaro) goes "haha, I know someone who would make them lose their minds for like…30 dollars and free dinner" And it's Ouma It's always Ouma The first text he ever recieves from ouma is, "Soo…my dearly beloved to be, how bad do you want this to go?" "Absolutely horrid." "Splendid."

Checkers: He shows up in clown makeup pulls up to their driveway in his little clown car honks at then with his clown nose

Beez: oh you know what would be funny if shuichis parents had to take him w them to some kind of event or wtv n to make him not look like a loser they tell him he needs a date

Checkers: RUIN THEIR IMAGE jokes on them they’re the real losers here

Apollo: Kokichi makes little cue cards with all the problematic things he's learnt about Shuichi's parents and idly flashes them at random people to spread the news

Apollo: Sure…People talk about what sort of…Things Shuichi are into considering his boyfriend says that sort of shit but hey…If it's pissing off his parents, he'll let Kokichi to claim to do whatever the fuck he wants He uses the fact he's multilingual to his advantage as well.

Sini: “These young celebrities are in love with me!” “One bad joke is all it takes, trust me” “These people have no humour! That’s humorous on its own, really! So charming” Clown: "Oh they've been sooo welcoming. They only tried to pay me off once?? Twice??"

Checkers: He’s reciting a waffle recipe in Spanish Reading out loud a Russian translation of My Immortal Clown: He's sobbing the entire time like its something emotional Apollo: He comes up with 'pet names' to use during interviews. The interviewers think it's super sweet…Until they see the comments pointing out that Kokichi was just saying random words Checkers: He is passionately defending pineapple on pizza. In Italian Clown: Omg, nicknames ranging from the classic "babe" to "my combusted inflamed refrigerator on wheels " And shuichi has to stutter his way through something equally as bad And yet the faces of pure rage on his parents face lend him strength he didn't know possible Apollo: Interviewer: Aww so sweet Interviewer, reading the comments: Why was he calling Shuichi a soda covered stress toy??? What is wrong with today's youth? [my reply to Apollo's message] that sounds kinky

Clown: I love the thought of this starting out as ouma leading the charge. He's throwing out ideas he hopes shuichi picks up. But as the night goes on the last remaining fucks shuichi gives fly out the window. And he is absolutely going all out. Ouma nearly stumbles in keeping up with the absolutely insanity shuichi has awakened in himself and he may be swooning Sini: HE’S CREATED A BEAUTIFUL MONSTER Apollo: Shuichi's gone from the awkward attempting to flirt back stage to the You're actually sorta cute so I'm going to put effort into this stage in like one night and Kokichi is shook Checkers: Saiharizz but it’s just unhinged insanity Beez: the most effective rizz on kokichi tbh Sini: Shuichi: evil unhinged laughter Kokichi: [heart eyes] “I will make my parents eat their own shit” “….So are you free later-?”

Clown: All it takes is realizing how afraid his parents are of breaking their facade and hes pulling ouma to the corner, absolute giddy realization happening in his anxiety ridden husk of a body as he frantically says "Did you see their faces?? Ouma did you see how mad they were?? Haha! Oh my god! They can't do anything to me. I can do anything" Apollo: Kokichi is internally screaming because holy fuck a cute guy just dragged him into a corner are they gonna kiss? No? Oh well, hearing him realise how he can do anything is just as good Me: this is a fake dating scenario, of course they're going to kiss, just not in a corner, that would be against the point, do it in front of everyone Sini: Kokichi: “I can fix him” Bitch, I did, and that was by making him worse Clown: He may be going mad with power Just a little Will shuichi regret this in the morning? He doesn't CARE. That's future him's problem. He's having FUN Rantaro is lowkey impressed by how fast Shuichi has managed to lose it Sini: Rantaro is dramatic [rolling eyes emoji] He’s fine. Apollo: Rantaro: What the hell Kokichi? Kokichi: It was one cup! Shuichi: [h y p e r]

Sini: “I feel so alive! Why haven’t I tried this before!? This is great! Fuck coffee, this is my life blood!” He’s been deprived Too much You give him a taste of something new and he goes wild

Clown: On one hand, shuichi has never looked happier, on the other, his eyes show a manic energy that is just a wee bit spooky Sini: Kokichi isn’t sure if he should be concerned or aroused Clown: Just one moment, a single moment for shuichi, grinning, tells ouma honestly "thank you for this" and its over for one kokichi ouma Sini: He is on the floor Shuichi is poking him

Me: sugar rush Shuichi just dips Kokichi and kisses him while showing a middle finger to the camera Clown: Shuichi offers a very nervous peck on the cheek initially and by the end he's dragging ouma halfway over the table to kiss him passionately on the lips in front of his parents

Clown: The aftermath may be less fun But it was so worth it Sini: It’s like a hangover lmao Wtf did he do last night? Clown: He wakes up feeling empty, shakey, strangely shirtless in a bed he doesn't recognize, theres a lingering feeling of impending dread and his phone is buzzing nonstop. Still. He feels so satisfied with himself. He smells like grape soda Sini: He smells like….Him Clown: YES. That and he's blanking on the memory of him toppling over the soda tower at the end of the night Apollo: He sees Kokichi and internally freaks out because What the fuck did we DO? but he then learns when he fell into the soda tower, his shirt got all gross and Kokichi being the everloving boyfriend he is, washed it…Well got someone else to wash it but yeah

Clown: Reality may be creeping up on him in the background but the phones been chucked to the side for now Ouma grins at him and goes "I never got the dinner you promised" and shuichi grins back Apollo: They're fucking dorks. Meanwhile, the Saiharas are attempting damage control, Shuichi's uncle is supportive but also god damn it did it have to go like this and the internet is fucking blowing up Clown: Need Miu to be watching her daily drama channel in the morning with a bowl of cereal and the first thing she sees is ouma's face and she does a spit take Apollo: She starts ringing him but he's not paying attention Clown: Kaito minding his buisness when he sees "Former child actor gone rouge" and it's just shuichi cackling maniacally Apollo: Kokichi is hovering in the background all smug like, dressed in the most horrible outfit despite the stylists trying to make him look nice. Clown: He loves to watch the world BURN From a distance, as shuichi and him take the time to tentatively start to know each other in the aftermath Sini: More so Shuichi causing the world to burn Me: Me: some paparazzi takes photos of them on that dinner they go out on and the relationship gets solidified in the media's eyes Clown: YES. If someone spreads a picture of them at some run of the mill diner in the morning for some breakfast. Hair unbrushed. Ouma still has remains of clown makeup. Shuichis eyeliner is smudged all over. Shuichi is shoving a cinnamon roll into oumas mouth mid rant with the biggest smile on his face.

Apollo: Maki, waking up because her Ouma Sense is going off: Who has that brat gone after this time? Maki knew Shuichi would be getting a fake date for some event. She switches on the tv, sees the bastard of the orphanage she grew up in and just turns it off Shuichi says he wants to introduce Kokichi to his best friends and he and Maki lock eyes. Kokichi: ["*chuckles* I'm in danger." gif]

Clown: She can't be too mad!! Look at shuichis face!! Thats pure joy right there!! Maki begrudgingly accepts and oumas like" sOB I knew you loved me!!! " Apollo: She does hit Kokichi over the back of the head later and then gives him a shovel talk. Shuichi is confused when Maki hands him one of those backpack leash things Clown: Maki, deadpan,"you'll need it." Me: she's a little confused about who needs a leash atm

Clown: I am thinking of the end of the night immeadiately after. Shuichi did not expect to go that far. And as he's calming down. The jitters come back. His phone is a death sentence. He's obsessively waiting for the ringing to start.

Ouma leads him to the bus stop, shuichi drove them there but its just not the time. Ouma wants to live thank you.

Drenched in sweat, and soda, and oumas pockets being stuffed with cake they ride together silently. Shuichi barely even thinks to ask where their going. Reloading his notifications again and again.

Shuichi is hugging his knees. He barely remembers sitting on oumas bed. He's still hugging his knees. "I-" he breaks out into nervous giggles, "I screwed up didn't I?"

And kokichi sighs, it's silent between them before kokichi erupts into laughter. "You were amazing!" He insists, and he's so absolutely giddy. Nearly in awe. It's hard for the doubts to eat at him when ouma looks at him like he hung the moon and the stars. "You were amazing."

And ouma teases him relentlessly, and shuichi is too busy being embarassed to let himself fall into regret. He ultimately falls asleep peacefully in a bed that isn't his and ouma yawns and steps away to sleep on the couch.

Bonus:

Beez: saiou pulling fake proposals in restaurants to get free dessert thats it Hina: Kokichi initiates them Shuichi tries for real and Kokichi thinks he's joking Beez: damn the dessert must look good if shuichis the one proposing for it Ves: they just move on shuuichi thinks they're engaged kokichi thinks he was doing a bit Me: 1) do it AFTER they're married 2) have their actual proposal in privacy, duh. [DRV3 Postgame AU Masterpost]

Sorry it's taking me a bit to answer asks, I read every one and cherish them -! I'd figured I'd doodle a bit in the answers, but then ah. This one changed course from 'whats up with shuichi' to 'actually we're overdue for exposition'.

Oh, backstory?

Since Class 79 is at Hope's Peak For Real in this AU, Danganronpa can't very well be like canon. Our solution: infighting, sabotage, and plenty of Drama! Discussion under the cut.

I'd call it a non-Despair AU; the world's not over, and I'm currently thinking V3 is the only killing game at this point in the timeline, catalyzed by good old-fashioned envy (and, truthfully, indignation that strangers get to live out your fantasy while you and your friends are stuck in the building next door... the nerve!) Our mastermind isn't exactly a master hacker, but she's also not working alone. This Team Danganronpa isn't trying to physically harm anyone, but showing off their collective capacity to coordinate and maintain a takeover like this is bound to catch the administrator's eye. All press is good press, and there's a lot (of investor funding, mostly) riding on stories of TAPP's success, so HPA is incentivized to intervene ASAP. The team did not account for the aftershocks of making their peers virtually kill each other. Rantaro is having memory issues, Miu has to catch her breath (to her chagrin), Kiibo doesn't have a body, Kokichi has his cane... and that's just the beginning.

Whoops.

TAPP is kind of like "what if instead of synthetically pouring all of the talents into just the one dude, we experimented on some charity cases to see if we can just artificially build an Ultimate from the ground-up". The tech in the flashback-lights is definitely at play here, though HPA proper wasn't planning on a full memory wipe/personality override (but kept the theoretical capability in their back pocket in case things went south as Advanced Gaslighting) but uh. A bunch of highschoolers took hold of the controls, which is how you get a bunch of kids that sound like characters. They still are.

In this case, Team DR is like at least 3 at most 10 disgruntled teens in the Reserve Course tired of being overlooked. More looking for mischief than harm, but hey, if they can convince the interlopers being Ultimates isn't worth it and they should leave the school after all this and free up the floorspace? They won't argue. One of the things that strikes me about DR as a series is how its internal logic is less concerned with logistics than matching the emotional weight of what it can be like to be growing up and going through high school, so I'm trying to lean in that direction. I'm not completely sure what all this means for the THH and SDR2 crews, precisely, but we'll cross/burn that bridge when we get to it I guess!

This comic taught me a lot of new tools and techniques, hence it feels to me like it took forever but I am super stubborn and couldn't work on something else until the script in my head was actualized, which turned into 'the whole thing being done'.

There's a lot of easter eggs and little jokes in the first page in particular, should you seek them! Consider this another 'cut' in case you want to try and read the Small Handwriting on Rantaro and Miu's desks for yourself.

First:

I already brought up some of them in the WIP so I'll try not to repeat too much and just link here

Kokichi could join the toast, but doesn't (and yet he still sits with everyone). Kiibo doesn't drink anything at all but does want to be in the toast, so he gets a bluetooth speaker. Surely he will blast some vocaloid shortly.

That's Kaito's notebook Kichi is doodling in; Kaito draws a bunch of stars, and I tried to sort-of-almost emulate the drawing on Kichis whiteboard and also get across that it lacks line confidence (sketch over and over the same lines) and he keeps creasing the paper because post-press it doesn't take much activity for his hands to hurt. Also kinda wanted to imply that Kaito not only knows Ouma has his notebook, but probably gave it to him because he's learned it's inevitable Kichi will tease him and draw in it and at least being upfront about it he won't manage to hurt himself trying to steal it (phantom thief or not!) Kokichi's pride is a little hurt at first, but it becomes another of their small routines they don't acknowledge out loud that nevertheless are a kind of familiar comfort for both of them.

Space debris at terminal velocity is no joke man even a paint chip won't just crack your helmet (which you'd only survive via cartoon logic and presumably-magic duct tape) but easily crack your skull at least. I did a project on it in high school once, I should really look for it tbh

I really did make some actual charts based on data from the character bios comparing things like height, birthdate, etc. vs. victim, killer, or survivor status (tho that is a gantt chart template and not filled in, oop). TL;DR the most interesting one to me is this:

Where basically when you account for how many students across the games are stated to have each blood type and the proportion of those students in a certain role, things are pretty even (AB has so few students its bars arent really representative of a trend, I just included them anyway) the type Os are disproportionately likely to be killers. For the record, there's one confirmed type O victim, and it's Nagito. I have no idea what this means. But if I am blursed with this knowledge, now you are too!

The code in tsumugis glasses isnt an easter egg bc i was getting tired and frustrated but the pods are roughly (no kiibo shifts things a bit) in class trial configuration, and on the base layer before all the Rest Of The Panel got added you could kind of tell who's who. Not so much anymore, so: Saihara has his hat on, for the record, and Kokichi is on his side while everyone else is on their back. I’ve always been very interested in flower symbolism—maybe it’s in my blood lol 😅 I think I’ve mentioned before that my family’s business is a florist shop and greenhouses. (I’ve never worked there though). I’ll admit that I’m not the best at gardening myself though I do have 3 pet cacti named Rantaro, Harley, and Kel and they’re doing great! 😁😂 I love flowers a lot though and try to incorporate them into a lot of my stories. I think it’s one of my biggest go to motifs besides inclement weather and brothers getting along. 😊

non despair au rantaro amami hcs!!

-rantaro knows, like, 12 different languages

-he's only actually fluent in 3 or 4. those would probably be english, japanese, korean, and spanish

-the rest he knows at a survival level. which is to say if he were dropped into the middle of an area where they only spoke one of those languages, he could get himself some food, get a hotel room, lose a sister, pick up a souvenir, and buy a plane ticket home

-he'll also just switch between languages randomly, especially in his head. he'll start a sentence in one language and go through two more before he finishes his thought

-this happens a lot in class, too

-rantaro will be giving a presentation or answering a question, and he'll switch to another language

-and he only realizes it when his peers start to giggle or when the teacher gently stops him and tells him he’s speaking in another language

-then he just awkwardly laughs and scratches his neck before continuing in his original language

-he loves tally hall (hidden in the sand, the bidding), the neighbourhood (cry baby, softcore, fallen star, reflections), jack stauber (choice, oh klahoma, buttercup), tame impala (lost in yesterday, let it happen, desire be desire go), and harry styles (as it was, kiwi)

-maybe i'll drop my rantaro playlist 👀

-a date to one of these concerts is a MUST

-he somehow always gets awesome tickets by pure chance. maybe the tickets were on discount, maybe he had some connections, or maybe he won them over the radio

-i don't think he's afraid to wear dresses or makeup.

-as shown in the game, he's pretty good at painting nails, so i think he'll wear a little makeup from time to time or vibe in a dress every couple weeks

-they might not be his prefered clothing item, but i think he'd wear one

-rantaro in the strawberry dress >>>

-he also draws from time to time! nothing too fancy, but he'll draw something interesting around him with a ballpoint pen while he waits for a train or something. rantaro's art is actually pretty good

-he has the vibes of someone who likes reading old and dusty books by candlelight or by a window

-i think he really enjoys historical fiction or fantasy books. preferably with a little romance and drama sprinkled in

-speaking of drama, he says he's a peace keeper, but he actually enjoys watch other people's drama unfold

-he also has a habit of accidentally flirting with almost everyone he talks to. rantaro doesn't even know he's flirting, it'll just kinda...happen

-his friends know that he doesn't mean it, but everyone else? nope.

-he's also so smooth. SO smooth and SO clever

-even without him accidentally flirting with people, he gets asked out or gets notes in his locker fairly often, and he feels so bad turning them down. he does his best to let them down slowly

-his relationship with his parents is...tense, to say the least. they still love him very much and they're not abusive or harmful in any way, things are just a little off after losing rantaro's sisters

-back to a lighter note, i think he really enjoys stargazing and can use the stars to guide him

-especially when he travels to other places, he loves seeing the contrasts and similarities between the sky where he is and the sky where his home is

-he probably plays the weirdest instruments

-definitely the guitar and ukulele, but he also probably plays like the dulcimer or something too

-rantaro's also pretty absent minded and spaces out often

-he kinda likes this quality, he thinks it makes him look all cool and mysterious

-his forgetfulness stems from being absent minded

-this makes it fairly difficult to concentrate in class. one minute he'll be listening to the lecture and the next he's neck deep in thought about his next trip

-to help combat this, rantaro has found that doodling on his paper every couple of minutes helps keep him focused

-luckily, his clever nature helps him get good grades, even if he was spacing out for the whole lesson

-he's also a little time blind, too

-rantaro could start a project, then BAM! it's been 6 hours and he hasn't eaten or drank anything

-funnily enough, this only happens when he's inside

-if he's outside, he'll be able to guess the time within 10 minutes of what it actually is

-he can also do this if there's a window open

-i think this a little obvious, but he loves being outside

-he out there reading or working or something for a good handful of hours

-has been known to sleep outside on his patio or dorm balcony for absolutely no reason

-his favorite place is the mountains

-rantaro loves being so high up and watching clouds form and move before his eyes

-and the trails are so pretty, too!

-all in all, a pretty cool guy

Oh, and then we have to deal with the fallout of the bad motive.

So, that First Blood Perk. Obviously the game wasn't going to let that actually be a thing, because it would deprive us of a core feature of the games: the Class Trial.

Honestly, I might have more respect for the game's whole "Rise up against Danganronpa itself!" thing if they had. If they actually let the killer claim the First Blood Perk and walk. Fuck you, no fun Class Trial will be had here!

That would be aggravating. But it would be aggravating in a way that feels truly resonant with the game's ultimate goal of tearing down Danganronpa brick by brick. The game is later going to say that the fandom is part of the problem and appeal to them to become part of the solution. So. Yeah. It does piss you off that we never got to play the fun trial game, doesn't it? Maybe you should think about that.

(Though I still wouldn't want the killer to actually be Kaede, especially with the crime scene clearly showing that she couldn't have done it. I'm not actually that impressed by "Your PC is the Blackened" after we already did "Your PC is the Mastermind" one game ago.)

But no. You knew they were going to cop out. I knew they were going to cop out. Despite insisting repeatedly at the end that they are making an unsatisfying Danganronpa experience on purpose, they are still trying to do that as a satisfying Danganronpa experience so they wouldn't dare deprive us of such an important feature.

So how do they cop out? Is it because the killer themselves don't know they're the killer and thus can't claim the perk? Could it be that the killer wants to weaponize the Killing Game to kill us all, like Hina and Nagito have tried in the past?

Nope. The killer decides she wants to get caught and die so that Shuichi can develop and grow as a character. That's it. That's the reason.

This is how Kodaka, recognizing that what he's about to do is a pretty shitty thing to do to an audience that he's spent time getting hyped for this character, tries to grease the wheels. It's not technically a Fridging because she wanted to die! She chose to sacrifice herself on the altar of Shuichi's growth! She climbed into the refrigerator and slit her own throat! That was her choice! So you can't be mad about it! She had complete agency over the reduction of her character to a footnote in the real protagonist Shuichi's personal journey! I didn't do it! SHE did it!

Whether these are valid reasons that make it Okay, Actually or if they're just overcompensating paper-thin excuses to justify an incredibly mean-spirited prank, that's up to you. I think you know where I fall on that dichotomy.

What's especially weird about the First Blood Perk is that it makes sense in retrospect. Trying to cancel the Class Trial makes perfect sense as something Tsumugi might do to conceal her own involvement in Rantaro's death and role as the true culprit. But it was offered well before any plans for killing were ever even a teensy-tiny thought in the back of anyone's minds.

So either Tsumugi is secretly an omniscient 4-D chess predictive grandmaster who knows every single thought that will ever pass through the minds of every single person in every single second of every single day only pretending to be an incompetent hack, or this was pure serendipitous coincidence. Something that seems complex and compelling but is actually a hollow, vacuous shell devoid of any real meaning.

Which is true? Eh, whichever you want to be true. The game's actually proud of itself for never committing to its own story, so there is no actual truth behind anything that happens. Even the reality show stuff ends on "But what if THAT was another lie and the REAL REAL real plot has never been revealed!? I'M SO CLEVER."

"This seems meaningful but actually it doesn't really fit quite right and in fact it might just be clever-sounding nonsense the more I think about it" is basically V3 in a nutshell.

Just as a reminder, Kokichi is strong enough that he can covertly drag/carry all the stuff in his room without anyone noticing. This includes but not limited to Rantaro's wax sculpture, dozens of boxes filled with paper, the rubber tube and, probably the craziest of all, the freaking stairs to the stage for Himiko's magic show that had the secret compartment (honestly not sure how he fit that through the door). Also in his fight with Kaito, notably nobody thought it was odd that Kokichi's punches were knocking Kaito to the ground, Maki even is impressed (or maybe just surprised) at Kokichi's strength to which Kokichi respond that of course he pretended to be weak and unable to fight. Also besides that man was able to do an hour of running around when Kirumi chased him in chapter 2 without breaking a sweat.

I was basing my comment on not being able to throw a fully grown hiyoko on two things because you are correct

him showing struggling and regret for volunteering to lift the iron cage(the the fact he can lift it at all even with shuichis help definitely shows hes strong), and the fact its really hard to throw someone double your height

[Grimwall Factory - Zetsubou HQ, 1 hour later.]

Thank goodness it's not a long drive.

Jesus...Look at this place...if it doesn't scream "evil lair" I don't know what does.

I guess now would be a good a time as any to let you know that the institute itself goes deep into the ground, and there's no other buildings within a few miles of this place in case of an accident.

Effectively, it's a lot bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.

Of course it is...

Now...I trust the two of you can come up with some sort of plan to get us inside and rescue the captives?

This is probably as far as we can go with the car. If we get any closer, Zetsubou might spot us, even if their communications are down. If they spot an FF car within the vicinity, be it only one, they'll be on us in seconds flat.

*Rantaro and Makoto hold onto their seats as Kuripa turns and starts driving through the forest surrounding the factory. He goes slowly as to not upset their tummies and to not alert their enemies.

Well, this is certainly a lot comfier than the LAST time we drove through a forest.

What happened last time?

We were in a car chase by the Kisaragi Foundation. When we were on the run, we stole some things, including a car from Midori Yamaguchi's grandparents.

We intended to give it back, but they called the Kisaragi Foundation up and they gave us a run for their money. No thanks to Kuripa being so trigger happy...

ExCUSE me! I wasn't the one driving! I can drive a car without turning the "Go Forward" pedal into the "Self-Destruct" pedal!

Alright, shush! We don't know how well they can hear us out here!

Speaking of which, do you by chance have a Plan B, Kuripa? We might need a backup in case things go south.

Well, it's like Boss said. We won't know what to expect from this base until we actually get inside.

*When he is deep enough in the forest, Kuripa parks and turns the engine off.

So no, I don't have a backup. Yet. But I DO have a plan to get us inside the factory from here.

Firstly, as Nagito and you mentioned, even though Uchui got captured, he was still able to fungle Zetsubou's security system.

Plus, with Shirogane moving her plan forward quickly now that he's been rumbled, she has too many things to focus on. The Hope Project, interrogating Uchui, looking for the Survivors who are still in the base and trying to get the system up and running again...There's too many things on her priority list.

So, while she's distracted with all of that, we'll park here, make our way to the base on foot, sneak in behind them and enter the base through the fire escape or something.

THAT'S your plan!? Just drive around, park, hope they don't spot us and walk in the door!?

Don't worry Rantaro...You might have overheard me say this before but...

Kuripa's plans are always incredibly one track and crazy on paper...But they have a tendency to always work in the end.

Big shoutout to my silly lil friends on the Persona 5 Giant/Tiny server for giving me the courage to upload these headcanons! If you like g/t I’d recommend joining :D the person who has the link is @andtheyreonfire AKA Waffle!😊

So I really liked the idea of Persona 5 G/T and I actually have a lot of headcanons for Danganronpa too! I’m gonna share the ones I have for V3 in this post as a change of pace from my art content.

(Also, none of this is canon to any story. I’m also not basing it off of canon besides their personalities so! Please keep this in mind💪)

🖤Shuichi Saihara - He could go both ways! If he was a tiny, he’d definitely be super respectful and quiet. Almost to a point where you’d get nervous if you couldn’t hear him and you’d think you accidentally stepped on him by mistake. If he was a giant, he’d take very good care of tinies. He’d even put them on his hat so they could stay with him.

🩷Kaede Akamatsu - She’d be the cutest tiny or the gentlest giant. She’s so lovable as a tiny that Shuichi constantly fawns over her whenever she does something. She has one of those mini pianos (like from Spongebob hehehe) that she plays whenever possible. As a giant, she’d protect any borrowers from whatever they needed. She’d cuddle with them too to make them feel better after a long day.

💚Rantaro Amami - He’s 100% a giant, no questions asked. He’s so friendly to tinies and he protects them from everything. If you sit on his head, his hair smells like coconut or strawberry shampoo. He’ll cook lunch and feed you by hand until you’re full. His voice is loud and deep, but it’s not scary; rather, it’s very comforting. He’s super gentle when handling you, and he seems like the type to slip you into his pocket to keep you warm. I have so much to talk about regarding giant Rantaro pls someone ask PLEASE /J

💜Kokichi Oma - A very mischievous and chaotic tiny for sure. There’s an assignment due tomorrow? You’ll wake up to find mini handprints all over your paper. You’re asleep? He’ll take the opportunity to draw on your face. Little things here and there will “vanish”. If you pick him up by the back of his shirt he’ll taunt you as you reprimand him.

🩵Tsumugi Shirogane - Could go either way! I could see her absolutely fangirling over tinies and going, “you must be a borrower like in The Secret World of Arietty!” She ADORES tinies and sews little clothes for them to wear. If she was a tiny herself, she’d probably go into dollhouses and borrow the clothes from them. Maybe she’d even modify them for herself :))

🩶Kirumi Tojo - She’d probably be either or, it really depends. She’d tidy up your room as a tiny and leave lil notes around, specifying exactly what it was she cleaned. She’d help you cook like Remy from Ratatouille by sitting on your head. If she was a giant, she’d take such good care of tinies. She’d make them feel comfortable for sure.

🧡Korekiyo Shinguji - I can’t really see him as anything other than tiny. He’ll be reading books in his lab. He’d admire his classmates from afar, envious of humanity but still liking to see their behavior. He likes to sneak up on people and listen to them to continue his research. He’s on the dining room table and salt is nearby? He’ll conduct a mini seance and scare the living daylights out of Kaito.

💖Miu Iruma - She’s definitely a tiny herself. She borrows dozens of scrap metal parts and objects to create her gadgets. Kiibo holds her up to the others so she can present her latest ideas. She flies around on her lil hovercraft around campus.

💛Angie Yonaga - Tiny lil painter in your pocket kinda person. She’ll doodle all over your hand during class for sure. She loves leaving little handprints on your papers too.

❤️Maki Harukawa - A very angry tiny with all this rage, but she can’t even reach where she’s trying to get to. She’s super skilled at parkour and navigating the giant world. She’s borrowed countless weapons like toothpicks and staples to use against others. If you pick her up, she’ll try to escape any way she can. She’ll retreat to her lil borrower home at night and go out searching for things in the morning.

💙Ryoma Hoshi - Not gonna lie, I don’t really have much for Ryoma, but I feel like he’d be a tiny. He could probably ride around on his cat across campus (granted he has the cat in the first place LMAO)

🤎Gonta Gokuhara - Pretty obvious, but definitely a giant. He’s got plenty of experience with bugs and other forest creatures to know how to properly handle tinies.

🤍Kiibo - He’d be a super awkward giant for sure, but in the cutest way possible. He’s super careful with them and always does his best to make sure tinies are ok.

💜Kaito Momota - Definitely giant, he has the energy of one. He’ll find Maki and Shuichi and take them to do training with him in his room on the desk. He often forgets to be careful with tinies and tends to grab them roughly, though he always apologizes.

💚Tenko Chabashira - A giant for sure, she loves tinies/borrowers. She’s super fond of female borrowers and has little rest stations set up in her room for them. She especially adores Himiko and gushes over her any chance she gets because of how cute she is.

❤️Himiko Yumeno - She’s probably a tiny. She’ll do little magic tricks and everyone will love them. She’s got her own custom deck of miniature cards and her little staff was created from a toothpick.

More Kokichi and Miu! I know K1-B0 is winning the poll but this made sense to me as a kind of preamble to that bit of exposition. Something about pieces of the people you've cared about staying with you.

So. Does Miu have a tattoo?

She's currently drawing it on with a marker every morning. Helps keep up morale while she focuses on building an entire android body from scratch. The machining on the parts alone is a pain in the ass, no matter how well you've mapped out the mechanisms. Hard to prototype with mostly-custom parts and very little patience.

An incomplete list of Kokichi's Room details under the cut:

This was during the game, for the record; his HPA room is also a mess, but it is a different kind of mess

The minimization of floorspace with wrappers and crumpled papers, despite his having a wastebasket, because they make noise when stepped on and it will be that much harder to try to kill him in his sleep

His contact case on the side table

Put up a drawing to hide his initial notes on the wall; he didn't fully realize they might be able to see him even in his room for a bit and then couldn't stop thinking about it

Books for Research Purposes and stray pencils, since even though he has a desk he usually lays on the floor to Scheme

Key stays in the desk drawer with miscellaneous junk he picks up around the school; he picks his lock open to keep tabs on whether or not anyone else has tried the same thing from the sound of the tumblers. this is why he's noticed miu's lock starting to fatigue

Tendency to Stack Things on Other Things (boxes, cup-stain on those boxes from setting drinks there while he draws on the floor, totes of miscellaneous items that make the room harder for not-him to navigate, beginnings of a Laundry Chair)

Probably sleeps in that chair more than the actual bed-he-does-not-make, thus it also being where he hoards soda from the cafeteria (it's right in front of the whiteboard, which isn't in frame but is there)

The horsehead goes under his pillow when he isn't there (unless he's presenting his room to be found after his possible death, of course, in which case adjacent his 'this-is-not-a-will' he also makes his bed)

Hides his monopad and a flashlight (flashback-light? unclear) in/next to the frame of his bed. Also snacks.

THOUGH the pattern has continued! In the form of Kaito's jacket, which he wears occasionally.
