Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.

Middle child of a middling noble house that is keen on not sticking their nose in petty fights because being the middle ground has always benefited them the most. Neutrality is easy when nobody knows your true opinions.
However, their family are devout Bane worshippers, well established in the Baldurs Gate enclave, probably one of the main parties financing it.
This is a devotion paladin Tav; swearing their oath to Bane in a "swearing to uphold your ideals of gaining personal power and raining tyranny over all who stand in my way." But in a neutral kind of way.
They get taken by the nautaloid, tadpole in their head and story/game starts and boom.
None of the party ask who their oath is to, since they assumed its someone like Tyr or Lathander etc and Tav keeps their mouth shut by nobles worshipping Bane isn't *unheard of* however they're younger than Wyll having been off in their knighthood apprenticeship for a majority of the time theirs and Wylls time in the Gates High society would have overlapped, and don't want to risk it. Especially when they find out that the Absolute plot is ran by The Dead Three.
They can feel their oath SHAKING.
Ketheric dies, they recognised Gortash before he leaves and are like "Oh fuck I'm gonna have to fight my gods Chosen. Wait. Why the fuck did I not know this was going on?? My family bankrolled most of this probably?!?!" The Emperor is mysterious as shit reveals HE has beef with Gortash and Tav is like "shit shit shit". Dame Aylin and Isobel join camp. Arabella leaves ahead of everyone else.
Tav is just having a crisis bc they're gonna have to fight and potentially kill their sworn gods Chosen. And like. They're a Baneite. So it's all cool in the eyes of Bane bc if you can't keep your power you don't deserve it. But Karlach found out about Gortash and Tav is not feeling the vibes with everyone's opinions on the dead 3 and Baneites so they keep their trap shut.
After all Baneites are encouraged to hide their faith if it will lead to persecution. They hit Rivington and in the midst of meeting some Sharrans, finding bombs in Teddy bears and Orin trying to fuck around, a Baneite approaches.
They're disguised of course, but they know Tav, act as if Tav simply left for Paladin business and didn't get taken by their own chosen's secondary cult!
Tav goes alone (ish. The rest of the party watches from a distance with Jaheria and Halsin wildshaping into smaller animals for a better listen.) And basically gets told "the boss man told us to find you bc you pose a threat to him. He's kind of been trying to get us to put tadpoles in our heads. We'll help you kill him and put you in as the new figurehead. Since you've currently upheld Bane better because you're literally an armed uprising and gathering allies and shit. Also he's trying to make us work with Bhaalists. Yeah, even after the first bhaalspawn died. It sucks."
It's all coded language of course, but the party get enough. Tav's been chosen to depose a leader of a group they're in, an enemy faction is a tentative ally and neither side is happy about it. Fix this.
Tav doesn't mention anything. Again baneites hiding their faith and all that.
Then they get to Wyrmsrock. And they're in a hall full of Patriars and THEY are a Patriar technically and the only non-devil one so they have to be group representative and wouldn't you know it, it's Enver fucking Gortash as the new archduke.
Their boss. Their gods Chosen. The holder of one of the netherstones, the guy a sizeable portion of their own enclave wants then to replace. They can literally see Baneites in the room basically telling them with their eyes to kill him NOW.
And shit goes tits up bc Gortash makes reference to Tav being a baneite and saying how it's a shame they were away becoming a paladin since they were always so loyal and would have been a wonderful planner alongside Ketheric and the first Bhaalspawn.
Nobody talks for the rest of the coronation but Tav can FEEL the eyes digging into the side of their head especially when the others look away from away from Steelwatch killing the Patriars in attendance. Then they leave. Nobody talks still. Back at camp shit goes tits up again.
This is the 11th hour TAV why is you being a baneite coming up now!? To which they respond it never really had a good time nor beneficial reason to come up since it's not exactly going to stop them from doing what needs to be done.
The whole camp devises a Tav centric version of the "convince shadowheart with a +10 charisma boost and the power of friendship not to go down the path of a dark god" plan.
howdy ho! hope you're doing well <:D risk of rain hit me like a freight train last month and while i was hunting for content i discovered your voice acting. specifically your mithrix but your void fiend and providence are rly cool too! i also found the "paladin" mod, and as someone who likes playing tanks, it's pretty fun! it even has a couple of custom mithrix lines which i think is super neat. if you want, itd be pretty cool to hear your take on them (if you havent done so already)...!
If you wanna send me the lines I'll happily do them! I cant seem to find them myself

Link to my first post here.
I have two I would like to introduce but tumblr's text limit is forcing me to do two seperate posts, and this is the second one. This post is dedicated to my OC, Willow Hvithrafn, she is in her late 20s and is a white high half elf with dove white hair and hazel eyes with gold flecks. I am still debating if she will have freckles/sunspots.
I have NOT published ANY chapters of Tender For You so all of this information will contain spoilers!
What is their:
Favorite weapon?
Willow has a Starlight Glaive (akin to the Moonlight Glaive) that she saved her own money since she was a child to have made specially by a local high elf. The high elf was a priestess of Lathander and wanted to create the Sunlight Glaive for Willow, but Willow is half Moon Elf and felt more connected to the stars.
Style of combat?
Willow is a Vengeance Oath Paladin and loves any situation in which she can smite an opponent with her Starlight Glaive.
Most prized possession?
Her Starlight Glaive is her most prized possession for sure. Her second would be a little gem she found when she was out scouting with Geraldus (she gave him one as well).
Deepest desire?
I think she has two. The first being she wants nothing more than to help keep balance in the world and to protect those who cannot protect themselves. She also wishes for a very long and happy life with Geraldus once she accepts her feelings towards him.
Guilty pleasure?
Even if she's had enough food, she loves when Geraldus comes up to her lookout and shares berries with her he foraged. She is a glutton not for food, but for any amount of interaction and attention from Geraldus.
Best-kept secret?
Willow has largely convinced the mass majority of those around her that she is an eternally crabby, heartless, uncaring creature despite having joining the Harpers for the greater good. There are only a handful of people who see through this, and even less who give her any effort of friendship.
Greatest strength?
Her greatest strength is her righteousness/sense of justice. If there is any enemy she is focused wholly on eliminating them- unless Geraldus is in direct way of harm.
Fatal flaw?
This is a great question to ask right after the above because Geraldus is her biggest weakness. She had no idea she could ever want or love someone and when out together she is always too focused on his safety, which creates weaknesses in her group's formation and puts not only her life at risk but everyone else's as well.
Favorite scent?
Willow loves the scent of the pine forests and rain, which remind her of Geraldus. His musk is also a scent she loves.
Favorite spell/cantrip?
She actually hates using magic aside from her Smiting spells.
Pet peeve?
Other people just existing. She wants to protect the world, but finds the world wholly obnoxious and frustrating to exist in.
Bad habit?
Willow is quick to anger and quick to run away from any confrontation or problem outside of direct combat (ie with teammates, friends, family, etc)
Hidden talent?
One night she and Geraldus discover she is quite good at playing the Lute.
Leisure activity?
Willow loves laying at her lookout with Geraldus, watching the sun set and subsequently watching the stars twinkle and move across the night sky.
Favorite drink?
She isn't much of a drinker of anything aside from water- she isn't a fan of hangovers or the dryness in your mouth alcohol leaves.
Comfort food?
She isn't enough of a fan of food to really have a comfort food, but she really enjoys eating beef.
Favorite person(s)?
Willow dislikes everyone by default. Her two favorite people are Geraldus and the Dragonborn Paladin she befriends, Kava.
Favored display of affection?
She is not a very sexual or open person. Most of the time when she shows affection it is in the form of hooking her pinky with Gerladus' pinky or just holding his hand.
Fondest childhood memory?
Willow's childhood holds very little she would want to even remember, but there is too much pain linked with her past for her to consider anything as "fond" or positive.
Anything else you’d like to share?
Willow will only ever let Geraldus all the way in to her heart. He will be the only one to ever see her for who she truly is underneath all the fear and hurt, and he loves her as she is. Once they get together he will be the single most important thing in her life, even being a Harper comes second to being Geraldus' protector and lover.
(Have I sent you a question today? I don't think I have, but if I did: oh well, have another)
I'm curious about the Old Magic in The Romance of the Demigods. What can it do?
Can anyone use it, given they possess the knowledge, or is it a gift you're born with? Or maybe it's bestowed upon you?
Hi Sam! Happy WBW! Thank you for the thoughtful question! 😄💜 I am VERY excited to explain it because it's a pretty important (and, I think, interesting?) part of the story.
So in-universe, what is meant by "Old Magic" is essentially any magic that is "of the Earth", or in other words, comes directly from a human invoking Fae magic (via the traditional means . more on that in a second. god this sounds so...).
To make it quick to understand, the domain of Old Magic can generally be thought of as elemental magic--especially as the elements relate to natural phenomena (natural disasters, the weather, plant growth, etc).
The Fae are the only creatures who are known to have native magic. Before and for a time after the arrival of the Sonnelic faith to Brennenhaugh many centuries ago, when Man and Fae intermingled far more frequently, it was incredibly commonplace for Fae to lend their magic to humans in return for... a number of possible things: amusement, further human devotion to the two Fae-gods, The Bit, a future favor, renown... things of that sort. But mostly that second thing. Usually.
And humans, for their part, used Fae magic for any number of purposes: a more fruitful harvest, to ease the winds or the sea for a voyage, to burn down the house of someone who insulted your mother, to call or halt the rains.
Maybe humans were more trustworthy, back then.
Fae magic is bestowed via the Fae's Name--inscribing a portion of the Name in Fae Script/sigil on the human's body allows the human to channel the Fae's magic, the intensity/power commensurate with the portion of the Name inscribed on the human's body.
It's something of a risk for a Fae to allow a human to channel their magic. There are old romantic stories of Fae and humans falling in love, and the human being entrusted with the Fae's full name, but those are fables--no Fae would do such a dangerous thing. Especially... times being what they are...
(putting the rest under the cut by god this got so long SORRY!)
A couple of Things about the Fae magic:
-It is theoretically possible for a human to inscribe a portion of a Fae's Name onto their own body, and so channel the Fae's magic without the Fae's permission. Typically, this is a very bad idea, because pissing off a magical creature who could burn your whole town to ashes is not, like, wise. But it's theoretically possible!
-The extent to which a Name must be "inscribed" in order to be effective is... flexible. In the old days, it was most common to use paint, or coal dust, or blood, or ink. Though lightly scratching with a nail or tracing with a finger may be effective to a minor degree, in a pinch.
-Related: the channel remains "open" for as long as the sigil remains on the human's body. The most efficient and long-lasting method is, of course, a tattoo of the Fae's Name. Nobody does this. Doing this without permission is a great way to get one's limb taken off by a jilted Fae.
The way all of this interacts with Kesh is........ part of the fun of the story! Lol!
As the Church of the Sonnelic Host expanded in reach, influence, and power, more and more regions have become wary of or hostile towards Fae and Fae magic--what's commonly known as the "Old Way". The Old Way further maintains that the relationship between Man and Fae (and Man and Earth, more importantly) should be a reciprocal one. The Sonnelic thought holds that Man has a holy duty and right to maintain dominion over all that the Earth has to offer, including magic, for this is the purpose of the Earth.
But that's a whole 'nother story!
Anyways, to the end of establishing dominion over the Fae, the Paladins of the Host have concocted a way to utilize Fae magic without the risk and responsibility of channeling via Name. They do this by crafting weapons and talismans infused with Fae blood.
Thank you again for the question! I'm not sure if any of that made sense and I am not proofreading this response at all! 🤠 This turned out so much longer than I intended... LOL. Anyways!
The OC this askblog centers around is aroace, goes by he/him pronouns, and suffers from ASPD, PTSD, and an unidentified dissociative disorder.
People who demonize any mental disorder fuck off. Most asks will be answered in-character, and some may contain doodles.
Do not ask about his species, all you need to know is he's the same species as the Paladin from the relevant Risk of Rain 2 mod. Art will be tagged with Risk of Rain-related tags for that reason.
Yes, Jonnus is located on Petrichor V — he banished himself from his native planet, Sacriterra, on his own. I may not publicly answer questions about why, but you can probably dig through my message history on the official Risk of Rain discord for it.
