For the five+ ask game, can you please do Afo takes Izuku at the end of the first war instead of pushing him away
1 - When Izuku jumped like a devil in the box and tried to grab TomurAFO with Black Whip, TomurAFO nods, says "If you wish so." and grabs him. A few noumus jump on Izuku and he is promptly kidnapped while the heroes can't do anything.
2 - The idea was for AFO to manage to get OFA by outwilling Izuku. After all, the more time passes and the stronger he becomes while Izuku has two broken arms, is feverish, and without medical help ASAP, he will grow weaker and weaker.
3 - It backfires as every time TomurAFO takes a step in the vestige world to put his hands on OFA, Izuku reaches inside TomurAFO's mind and help Tomura emerge.
4 - At some point, Izuku does pass out (though there are now permanent teeth marks on TomurAFO's arms), Tomura has more control and he doesn't want Sensei to puppet him anymore. In the middle of the Tartarus prison break-out, Tomura decides to flee with Midoriya, since he somehow manages to keep AFO at bay. Sadly, the noumus aren't obeying him anymore but somehow, they listened to Midoriya.
5 - Izuku and Tomura go on one hell of a road trip. I will spare you the boring details, such as Tomura adopting a dog, Tomura and Izuku running screaming from a raccoon and Izuku accidentally raising a noumu army.

thoughts on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?
Watched some of the cutscenes on Youtube out of curiosity and it's exactly what anyone familiar with looter shooters was expecting gameplaywise. I leave analysis of that part to others, and will stick strictly to the story and how it pertains to Superman. Spoilers below.
Tumblr media
My biggest complaint from the start was "why isn't there a Superman villain on this lineup? It's set in Metropolis! It advertises a boss fight against him as the big hype moment in trailers!" Guess the reason was because he ends up almost being an afterthought. Despite the game being set in Metropolis, Superman is barely in the game. He shows up about halfway through, kills Wonder Woman and goes back to Brainiac's ship to heal after getting impaled with kryptonite, then comes back so the Squad can kill him. Since none of the Squad has any history with or connection to him, he and they just spout canned one-liners at each other, and when he dies none of them really care.
The deaths of the Leaguers are all underwhelming. Wonder Woman has the best one simply because everyone acknowledges that she was a hero and it sucks she died. Superman comes in second because they don't shit on him or mutilate his corpse, hell it barely even gets acknowledged. GL and Flash get the worst of it. Batman's death scene is a lame ending for the Arkham Batman, something Superman himself lampshades when he confronts the Squad. I'll leave those for others to pick over, mostly because I don't have much to say beyond "they're terrible". The fights themselves and interactions with the Leaguers vary.
Boomerang has a funny feud with Flash that actually builds hype for the fight. Harley and Batman obviously have major history that we've seen unfold on-screen in previous games. Meanwhile Deadshot and King Shark stick out like sore thumbs. Putting aside both the dumbass retcon of this guy being the "real" Deadshot, and how annoying it is that the black sharpshooter villain who pumps Superman full of kryptonite bullets isn't Bloodsport, Deadshot has this feud with GL that is a game creation. The two black supers get paired together because of their race, and it doesn't work at all. There's no comic history there for Rocksteady to lean on to do the heavy lifting for them, and it ends up feeling forced. King Shark is an MCU Drax copy, and while funny, doesn't add anything. Should've been Bizarro or a GL villain in that spot.
youtube
Switching back to Superman, holy fuck is he written terribly here. At first I was pleasantly surprised, in the main game he barely does anything because he resisted Brainiac's reprogramming the longest, which was nice. Sure it's bullshit that he outwilled GL, but fuck it he's been shitted on for so long that I'll take that minor win that he lasted longer than Batman. On-screen we only see him kill WW who will probably get resurrected somehow too, meaning he didn't come off too heinously here unlike his Injustice counterpart. Unfortunately my initial goodwill was shortly soured thereafter when I found out that Superman is the reason everything went to shit.
Reason the JL gets enslaved is because Superman is a fucking idiot who mandates everyone walk into the Skull Ship without planning for betrayal after Brainiac invites them in to negotiate. Sure GL agrees with him, but let's be real Superman is going to get all of the blame and he deserves it based on how he's written here. God, just because Superman is an optimist doesn't mean he's a moron for Christ's sake. This is a guy who can hear all the terrible things happening around the world every time he listens in, there's no way he's naïve. A Superman this goddamn gullible would be killed or enslaved by Lex in their first meeting. Even takes like MAWS where he's a rookie don't have him being this stupid. Rocksteady doesn't get the character at all, and after this game I hope they never touch him again. Why are the video game takes on him this shitty, between Rocksteady and NRS it's like the two of them are competing to see who can dump on him more. Rocksteady originally hired Paul Dini to help them with the script for Asylum and City, and I'm convinced any Superman game appearances needs to hire one of his comic writers because a lot of these adaptions do not get him. They need to hire Waid (he's written for video games before) or PKJ or Williamson to help with the script.
The story here sucks and the kicker is that even when they bring the JL back (don't even pretend you're surprised by that) in later seasons, Rocksteady has still utterly destroyed the Arkhamverse.
Tumblr media
I've seen people say maybe Rocksteady can continue the Arkhamverse with a new Batman game, or star one of the other heroes, and HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT? Batman and Green Lantern at the very least killed fuckloads of people! Batman is directing Brainiac's forces, killing plenty of people personally, while GL was leading massacres and rounding up metas to be transformed into monsters. In the DCAU, which the Arkhamverse heavily leans on, Batman retires in shame after merely pointing a gun at someone in self-defense. Arkham Batman murdered God knows how many innocents, we even hear him kill a guy talking to Lois over the radio. No fucking way could Bruce live with that and keep being Batman, the shame and guilt he should feel would destroy him. Same goes for all of the other Leaguers, especially Superman.
All of this is on Superman's head, the population of Metropolis essentially has been wiped out. Lois survives (somehow), possibly some of the other Daily Planet people do too, but there's no WAY Clark can return to the Daily Planet and resume his normal routine. His actions here are what happened at the end of Superman: TAS, when Darkseid enslaved him, on steroids. Everyone is going to hate and fear him after this, and frankly I feel like Superman would exile himself to space out of shame and guilt. You cannot do a "traditional" Superman game after this, and a prequel is pointless for the same reason people are angry the Arkham games now lead to Batman being brainwashed and getting shot in the head by Harley. Could do a hell of an Elseworld game where Superman is trying to rebuild the wreckage of his life after the JL is disbanded and Earth 2 Lex Luthor becomes the most beloved man on Earth. Make it so Lois and Jimmy are either dead or want nothing to do with him, and he goes to Warworld on a suicide mission to find redemption in death. But a "traditional" follow up also set in Metropolis? Nuh-uh, I don't buy it. The Justice League has to go the way of the Justice Society after fucking up this bad.
Tumblr media
Shame because he and Lois don't have bad designs (Lex and Brainiac on the other hand...). Metropolis itself is gorgeous and there are some fun Easter eggs that I've seen, never would've imagined Bendis' Invisible Mafia getting referenced. But after this shitshow of a game I want nothing more to do with this incarnation of Superman. Give the IP to another studio and let's make a game set in it's own universe like Monolith is doing for WW.

OH BUT I FEEL IT IN MY BONES YALL
Wednesday Addams wouldn't be altogether crazy about Eddie Munson immediately. He's loud and he frolics, and he teases his enemies as if this will outwill them and shows all of his softness in far too many obvious ways. Funny voices, certainly defensive of his children -- but his teeth aren't sharp enough, and he hides his wounds behind his laughter like they're still raw. Something of her Uncle Fester there, perhaps, if she has to make the connection.
But Harrington.
He dresses in bright colors and makes sure to listen to the same boring songs as everyone else around him.
But he has no favorite color, no favorite song.
His sarcasm bites, so much so that he tries to make it playful, and he watches every face that crosses his path, studies their hands. Stares into each dark corner of every bright room, gazes sometimes even at the angles that may be lit now but will be the first to fall into shadows later.
The sickeningly sweet loud boy's favorite boy chooses weapon over protection, action and pain without hesitation once he knows it's time to act.
He does not frolic.
Harrington only watches and protects while others do, mimes care enough to fit in but is the first to fall quiet, still, to remove himself, to stop reading the script once his role has ended. It's immediately clear that he's long lost any interest feigned or otherwise in such foolish pursuits of attention, affection, acceptance.
Past being defensive of those he considers family, it's clear he posseses the true mark of dark and perfect and wildly self-controlled things --
Harrington will kill for his young, for his family.
Split skin, break bone, release his own blood if needed.
Harrington makes her think of the just-pale-enough twinkle lights that Enid threads around her favorite crypt on her birthday weekend before pulling the absolutely ridiculous fuzzy blindfold off, of how the little lights looked sparkly from a distance until she'd stepped closer -- already drawing together every sharp word about such blasphemy against such a masterpiece of stone and shadow -- and then stopped.
Stared.
Realized with surprise just how lovely it was.
The delicate sparkling only made the depths through the open door darker, the space beyond them fuller of things that maybe should never see the light of day.
Wise perhaps, to hide such things with camouflage.
So it takes time to warm up to Munson.
Harrington she decides immediately is worth broken bones, some bruises. Definitely a little blood.
Clearly Steve is meant to be one of hers.

Whumptober Day 10: Branding/Scarring/Collars
Demon in disguise AU. Frustrated and amused both at Tommy's unwillingness to give up on his faith, Dream sees himself in the zealotry and stubbornness- and decides he’s a far better owner than any God could be. Warnings for heavy religious themes, a whole lotta blasphemy (Dream is literally a demon here, he doesn’t have the kindest view on Christianity or God), imprisonment, restraints, abuse, torture, possessive behaviour, mutilation, body dysmorphia, dehumanisation, some mild body horror, Tommy telling people to kill themselves because he’s Tommy, suicidal ideation, infantilisation, and a whole lotta God complex.
ao3 link
—— “Our- our father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy-“
Tommy screamed as the white-hot touch of hellfire made contact with his skin, cutting off his pathetic prayers to a God that had forsaken both him and Dream.
Tracing the flesh of his shoulder with a mocking gentleness, Dream pressed down hard until he could smell the burning. He moved his finger to the side, pressing another circle into his skin like a brand.
Moving his finger down a little, letting the touch of the fire burn as he did, he dug burning claws into his skin, and dragged a semi-circle across his skin slowly, making sure each inch burnt until it dug deep into the flesh, enough to leave a mark. Screaming devolved into a howling, feral noise, pure agony making a human become a frightened beast, desperate to free themselves. Tommy struggled, pulling at his chains, but he was so weak all he did was delay the inevitable, causing the pain to prolong itself.
Dream let the flames dim down after he was certain he’d left a mark, shifting his hands back to match his human disguise. He didn’t need the form of the priest now, he supposed- he wasn’t leading his oblivious flock astray from the almighty idiot they naïvely worshipped, and he’d already ensnared the one true devotee in chains of gold and thorns- but honestly, he liked it. His true form felt alien to him, a mockery of what he’d once been as an angel before he dared question that he was anything more than a tool. Being human, at least superficially, felt better than the burdens of horns and hooves marking him as forsaken by a cruel God.
Besides, he looked almost like Tommy in this form. Demons didn’t have such quaint concepts as family, but he liked to think of the boy as perhaps as close to that as he could get. It was comforting to imagine himself human enough for that sort of love.
He took a moment to look at the brand forming on Tommy’s skin- messy and wobbly due to his struggles, but recognisably a smiley face, that of the mask Dream wore in his true form and perhaps the only thing he liked about it. It might not have meant anything to Tommy, but it was for when he finally broke that stubborn faith of his, not for now. It marked Tommy as his, staking a claim on such a devout soul brought low, a prized trophy. More than that, it meant he could keep Tommy safe. He might be “evil” by the closed-minded view of God and humanity, but for a demon, he was downright saintly.
“See, look, there we go, all done.” Dream said gently to try and soothe Tommy’s panicked breaths. Attempting to corrupt him subtly hadn’t worked, guiding him and slowly trying to turn him against the Lord, so he’d turned to extremes to make him recant his faith. But extremes didn’t necessarily just mean pain- it meant whatever he needed to tempt him into falling willingly, or at least something approaching that. Such a thing would be easier if he could get Tommy to not hate him, and besides, he liked the human. His faith was misplaced and naïve, and his stubbornness was annoying, but he was as kind as any human, while being far less boringly predictable. He had a spine, at least, enough to outwill a good number of demons.
Until he’d met Tommy, Dream had always had to choose between the cutthroat politics of Hell, where loyalty was a joke and if anyone got the opportunity to screw him over for selfish pleasure and power, they would, or his job of tempting humans, all so easily swayed with sweet words and a calm presence into throwing their souls away, lacking any individuality. Tommy was unique, all of the positives of both with none of the negatives. He was the closest Dream had ever come to having a friend.
Perhaps the two of them were caught somewhere between angel, demon and man. Perhaps the two of them were the only ones who could ever understand each other.
Tommy, pale and feverish-looking, still managed to give him an intense glare, fire still burning bright in his eyes even as he struggled to keep them open. “The Lord will forgive you for this. But I sure as fuck won’t.”
Dream sighed, conjuring a roll of bandages. “You’ve never met that bastard. Stop talking about things you have no knowledge of.”
“I’ve read the Bible, dumbass. It’s more fuckin’ trustworthy than a devil. You’re just pissed Daddy kicked you out, aren’t you? You big ba-“
“Shut up.” Dream growled, infernal fire mixing into his practised human tone. His fangs broke through his gums, claws digging out of his nail bed, as all he could think of was blind wrath. The humiliation and pain of being cast from Heaven, tarred and slurred as a great evil simply for taking on a name, an identity, a will, bubbled up in him, and even as he glared, approaching what now to him was just prey like a cat did a mouse, burning sulphur tears pricked at his eyes, anger and agony mixing into one.
The insolent boy yelped, opening his mouth to speak, but as Dream’s spine extended, tearing open the skin on his back, he smacked his face with his bony, half-formed tail, slashing a line across from one side of his face to the other, a diagonal, deep gouge from his jaw to his brow. Even in his anger, he took care to not dig too deep, break through something unfixable. Something approaching tough love still remained in his bestial mind, as twisted and unrecognisable as it was to any human.
As quickly as the pure rage took him over, it abated, and he was staring, horrified, at Tommy weakly sobbing. His eyes were no longer filled with hate, but pure fear and terror. Dream couldn’t feel guilt; it was an emotion that was worthless for temptation and sin, but he imagined the sinking feeling in his gut was as close as possible as he could get to it.
“Shit, shit, shit. Okay, uh, stay still.” It was a pointless thing to say- the chains keeping Tommy trapped weren’t something a human could break through, forged in the fires of Hell themselves. There was enough slack to allow him free roam of the space between worlds he was kept in, and the iron collar around his neck wasn’t too heavy, Dream wasn’t cruel, but they were tight and strong. “I- I, I shouldn’t have- just, let me fix it, m’kay?”
He shifted back into the form of the priest, his features dissipating easier than they appeared, before he ran a gentle hand across Tommy’s wound, sewing it shut with dark energy, leaving a crackling, pitch-black scar. Tommy hissed in agony, weakly lifting his hand to the crack and flinching away on touch, his fingertips darkened from the contact.
“W-wha’ did you do to me?” His voice was weak, wavering. It sounded both wrong, painfully unTommylike, and also satisfying. He was so close. So close to saving Tommy from the same fate he befell, wasting his life on a God who neglected him.
And yet, Lucifer was the evil one.
“I made things better!” Dream grinned, despite the fact he didn’t feel exactly happy. “See, look, what did your God do? Nothing! And I helped you. Am I so bad, huh? Or do you think maybe that stupid book of yours might be wrong?”
“You fucking branded me.”
Dream blinked. “Yes? I mean, I know it hurts, but it’s far better that people know you’re mine. There’s a lot of demons far worse than I am, y’know.”
“Oh, so you fucking own me? Yeah, you’re such good guys. Kill yourself; it’s the only way the Lord will ever forgive you.” Even with his eyes half-closed from exhaustion and blood loss, his glare was sharper than any blade. He really did seem more demon than human sometimes.
“Of course I do. You’re part of my flock, right?” Tommy never seemed to mind that before he knew he was a demon. Dream didn’t really get how it was a big deal. “Everyone else belongs to me. Once they die, their soul will be mine to do with as I please. It’s better than letting them suffer and die for some cruel tyrant of a God, right?”
Tommy laughed, with no humour in his voice. “Well, go fuck yourself, because I’m not going to be- be your fucking property in the next life. I’ve already had enough of it in this. I’d rather fucking kill myself.”
“That’s a sin, y’know? So go ahead.”
“I-“ Tommy pouted, clearly frustrated he couldn’t find an answer. “Fucking die.”
Dream burst into wheezing laughter at the sight. Tommy looked ridiculous, small and curled up in the corner with such a childish expression, a scar across one of his eyes and a crude smiley-faced brand on his shoulder, in oversized green pyjamas that fit awkwardly on him, his hair wild, and the shackles and collar holding him sticking out like a sore thumb against his pallid skin.
He didn’t get why they offended Tommy so much. Humans existed to be property, either of Heaven or Hell, and out of them, at least Hell was fun. Sometimes. The collar was just saying the quiet part out loud, and Dream had thought humans liked honesty. Maybe that was another thing demon-like with him, but he doubted it. Most of the time, he was painfully honest.
Honestly, though, Dream didn’t care that much. He liked Tommy like this. Like how he was, innocent and stupid, when he was created to serve. Tommy was close enough to an angel in his loyalty and ridiculous zealotry; he almost was like Dream back then, a tool, an object, miserable. But unlike Dream, he could be saved from being cast aside cruelly. No, he could willingly fall, and he could be treated kindly, not having to be stuck within two worlds. He’d always have someone close to family, something no demon or angel was able to have. It might have been a gilded cage, but so was Heaven, and at least Dream actually gave a shit about him as anything more than a mindless follower and an ego boost.
Perhaps, to a naïve human, that might still seem cruel. But one day, Tommy would thank him. One day, Tommy would see that they were the same, with their own chains, collars, and brands, and Dream was just showing him that in the kindest way possible.
One day, Tommy would realise he was the closest thing to a loving God he foolishly believed in.

Speaking of Munakata, do you feel like he's a biiit too "shoot first, ask questions later" for his job?
Tumblr media
Oh, I do.... I even asked during one of meetings to take Monaca lightly and not force ensure a kill order, but....I was not only outnumbered in the vote, but outwilled by everyone else not feeling the same way...
Tumblr media
It was a bit foolish to think I could sway everyone else's mind with that, but even still... Kyosuke's power and sway holds more weight than I ever could...
Tumblr media
Which concerns me even more about this trial-
*Creak*
Tumblr media
Hmm?

Miaya. I need to speak with you.

Ah, Kyosuke. *She faces her picture face down on her desk, and closes off the Foundation tab* Can I help you with something?

I have just ascended thanks to being dubbed 'daddy anon'. 😂 Still related to Father's Day, but we're going to focus on Omar and Morgan. How would they react to being asked for a hug and then the person that they're hugging then bursting into tears and then admitting that their own dad didn't/wouldn't do anything like this for them?
Go forth and revel in your new title! ouob
Honestly Omar has already dealt with that when it came to Ben? And yes, Ben did break down the first time he was hugged, like really hugged (not the 'hey good job' one-armed one or the friendly back-pat one, but the kind you feel to your bones) by someone he, at that time, didn't really want to admit he was beginning to see as a father figure (didn't you hear? he don't need one) Omar was understandably very alarmed initially and thought he'd either overstepped a boundary (this was a hug that happened on instinct, likely deep relief after Ben managed to get back safely from a mission that went sideways) or reminded Ben of something bad and he immediately let go, and almost immediately resumes it again when it's clear that Ben is having A Moment and needs the comfort (He's getting off the high of his El-Ahrairah mode of being all scrapped up and HA OUTWILLED THEM AGAIN GET WRECKED FUCKOS except it's also hiding real fucking fear that oh shit this is how I die and OP's Dad Concern for him lets him be concerned about himself too for the first time in a long while and it's. It's okay to be scared? It's okay to want and be given comfort? It's okay to be cared for by A Dad?) badly. He makes sure Ben is given some privacy from the others and doesn't let go until Ben can form words again to let him know it's OK. Ben doesn't tell OP outright that he doesn't even know what that felt like until now, but Ben doesn't really need to verbalise it. OP has been around enough affection-starved kids to know what that's like. Just asks Ben if it's something Ben is OK with in the future, and the way Ben clings to him is all the answer he needs.
Megs would likely do the same, though he'd be a little more awkward about it. Because if you're looking to him as a Good Dad, that speaks a lot about how fucking shit your life must have been. Also with the addendum of where is your old man, would you like me to have a talk with him, would you like to kill him, because I can do both pro bono.

“This isn’t right.” He dips his head, and Leopardstar meets his forehead.
“I’m sorry, Stonefur, I am. RiverClan is just…” Outnumbered. Outwilled. Outdone. Really, it’s the ultimate trick. If Leopardstar had the power to stop him, she would. The whole Clan knows that she has nothing.
