Good time of day so if origins!Wilbur died and became a phantom at say 16, do you think he wouldn't age afterwards. Do you think his little brother who was 8 years younger would be older and more mature one day? I'm just thinking it fits so well with o!Wilbur's social anxiety and overall awkwardness that mans got stuck in a teenage brain and body. Think of the angst, the frustration and feeling of incompetency. The subconscious resentment when his baby brother doesn't turn to him for advice anymore, asks him to participate in shenanigans and not vice versa. His baby brother who now comforts HIM, and not vice versa. Oooh, do you think thats why he gets obsessed with trinkets and books? To feel like he collects things, grows and learns and evolves, to counterpose the feeling of stagnation?

Hiatus

Hey guys. BearMage (mun) here. I got the flu, a really bad case of it. So, I'm taking a few days off replies and starters to get better. I'll still be lingering around liking posts and reblogging memes on here and my main, but - again - replies and starters are on hold for me until I get better.

Ello! Thanks for the request. I probably wont do proper backgrounds on all of these but you mentioned ring lake and I wanted to push myself to not just draw characters in a blank void (That being said I didn’t look at references at all sooo uhm it probably isn’t accurate to what ring lake looked like at all lol). For the sake of idk following lore or whatever lets say my gloomy shading is cause its cloudy or rainy or nighttime idk pick your poison with that .

Also uhm dont mind the fact that there’s two versions i really wanted to draw my phantombur design again since its been a while… And like might as well post both of them if i spent the time redrawing parts of it

Anyway hope you like this! It was fun outside of all the times i wanted to die trying to figure out how backgrounds work, but that parts on me not you lol. Yeah uh hope you enjoy! feel free to ask for changes if ya want im more than happy to fix things if need be -Phil

o!tommy was born to have perfectly fine wings. he was growing healthy until separated from his flock at a young age and taken by hunters. the hunters are obviously not well versed in how to properly take care of a fledgling. as well as the constant mistreatment causes tommy’s wings to grow small.

o!wilbur is an avian that was murdered in a hunter raid while o!phil had his back turned. fortunately, wilbur had phantom genes, however this both turned them quite bloodthirsty.

the hunters know of an elytran that attack hunter camps, and decide to work on a bait using little tommy (still a toddler at the time). phil goes for the bait, however, thankfully wilbur goes to help. tommy is saved!

but his wings are far too tiny for his age. he barely understands basic instincts, which make both wilbur & phil very upset to see. this causes wilbur to be very anxious towards anything happening to tommy, because what happens if more sets back his growth?
