Bio:

Born to one of the largest families in Sylvania, Bear was number four out of a total of nine children. His mother a hunter, father a lumberjack, both occupied for long hours during the day, the children were mostly left to fend for themselves, and this is how Bear learned to be the trouble-maker he is today. The Frazier offspring were not neglected, but life was tough in Sylvania, and adults were expected to work as much as they could to provide for not only their own families, but for the clan entirely. As they grew, and the house filled, the siblings became a unit within themselves, even at a young age, they became self sufficient, only relying on their parents to bring food home in the evenings.

Bear was born a trickster, forever tormenting his siblings, using his slight stature to hide in small spaces, jump scaring, pranking and just completely infuriating every single one of them. The family is close, each member contributing something essential so that the wheels keep spinning. Birdie took care of the cooking, Lynx the laundry, Kitty the bathrooms, and so on. Bear has two roles, provide the entertainment, a self-appointed job, even if it’s not always welcomed--  but more importantly, as he has gotten older, he has joined his mother on some of her hunting adventures. 

On their first trip out, Bear showed instant skill, and the more he hunted, the more this became apparent to the entire clan as a whole. He took after his mother, she was one of the best in the clan. He never missed, not once, his aim impeccable, and with that knowledge known to every person in Sylvania, it was almost written in stone that they would send him to Nova as a part of the first 50 when it all came about. His family are devastated, because as annoying as he might be, he’s part of that spinning wheel, and they fear everything might just crumble in his absence. 

Bear is in two minds about leaving his family, he is used to the hustle and bustle of his cramped house, used to fighting for the bathroom in the morning, used to rooting through his brother’s drawers for clean underwear to wear. He is also excited, even though he’d never admit it, he’s excited that he was chosen, that his talents are being rewarded, he’s excited for change, excited for freedom, excited to be someone other than the seventh Frazier. 

Although the family were upset that Bear was leaving, and he upset to leave them-- they understood the urgency of it all, they feared a second wave more than anything else, and they were happy to contribute to this new life being built, mostly in hope that they would follow him to Nova sooner rather than later. The Frazier’s were quite loyal to their clan, and they had always embedded this into their children, so Bear will have some reservations to others outside of Sylvania.

Difficult might be the best word to describe Bear, because trying to pick just one identifying word was difficult in itself. He is complex, kind, caring and smart on the one hand, but also conniving, roguish and impulsive on the other. Most find him hard to read, and other than people being in awe of his gift, he doesn’t have many friends.

𝓣𝓾𝓬𝓴𝓮𝓭 𝓪𝔀𝓪𝔂 among the southeastern Oregon coast lies the town of Peccati. Despite its picturesque backdrop, Peccati is and has historically been known for anything but. While from the outside the town may appear to be sleepy, quiet, like any other small town in America, anyone even minutely familiar with the area is all too aware that beneath the surface, things are rarely what they appear to be.

Overrun with crime, riddled with booze and drugs, and ruled by three well-known families , Peccati has earned its name and reputation as Civitas Peccati- The City of Sin. In Peccati, Oregon the law is loose, the the nights long, and the trouble plenty for anyone interested in finding it.

CIVITASPECCATIHQS is a 21+ OC RP set in the fictional town of Peccati, Oregon. The town’s history is dark, and the area is known for its near-lawlessness, a haven for those willing to do anything to secure the life they dream of having. Recently, an influx of newcomers has threatened that history. The push to clean up Peccati began slowly, though it has grown exponentially in recent years. Tensions in town are at an all time high, and the question on everyone’s mind- which side might emerge victorious- remains to be answered.

To most, these were just coincidences, but those who already questioned the city’s secrets began to look more careful, and found the evidence clearly pointing towards the Supernatural.

To the WereWolf families of FENRIR’S WOOD everything points to the greatest challenge they’ve had to deal with: protecting their secret from an unseen enemy.

Yet a warning is etched through-out the city.

The sky is quieter, but that doesn’t mean things are going back to normal. Does a place like Wicked’s Rest even have a normal? No, because even though the daily otherworldly blasts have ceased, there’s new problems cropping up. 

Bad omens. Packs of hellhounds are emerging from the woodwork, in numbers far greater than any ranger or slayer can handle alone. Hunters are having to band together to cull these hoofed beasts, and the sudden appearance of so many at once has only ever been a warning of a looming supernatural threat. They’re not the only demonic creatures having a population boom, however—cacodaemons are also arriving on the scene, now only adding to the chaotic confusion that occurs when loved ones start behaving irrationally. Deogen has been straying from its usual haunt around the Wishing Well in Nightfall Grove, and the risk of getting lost in its fog and never making it back out is higher than ever. One thing remains a mystery: where have all the missing people gone?

All of these omens have to be leading to something, don’t they? In this case, there’s reason to suspect they’re harbingers of the enormous, monolithic leg that erupted from the ground, smack in the middle of Wormwoods. Yes, leg. It’s somewhat avian in appearance (or perhaps lizard-like?), being scaled and sporting four long, clawed toes that are so gnarled they almost resemble the branches of a gargantuan, barren tree. Aside from its initial, violent ejection from the ground, the leg has been mostly still. The crowd gathering around it has been anything but, though. Birdwatchers are flocking in from all over the state and beyond to see the leg, adding it to their life list and then checking it off. Wicked’s Rest has, naturally, monetized the leg by setting up a barrier, and charging each person $100 to touch the leg (this, they claim, will help Worm Row’s reputation). Additionally, it has created quite the divide in town: some people want to try and cut it down, to destroy it. Others want to protect it, though it seems like a mixed bag of folks either being terrified of upsetting something powerful, or believing it to be the manifestation of a god that will raise them all from perdition and cleanse the town of evil.

It’s as of yet unclear where the truth lies. But as bad omens continue to pour into the town, there’s little reason to suspect the leg is anything good, and it may in fact be only a preview of things to come.

WHAT ELSE? WELL...

Pieces of rock that look like they came from the Abnormality are jutting out of the ground in the area around the leg. They don’t seem to be encasing anyone like before, but their presence has some people concerned.

The leg has attracted all sorts of birds to perch, from aravo to valravne, and everything in between. This only further entices birdwatchers. There also seems to be a significant presence of various demonic and specter-like entities in the area.

The skyquakes have gotten less frequent, a fact celebrated by pretty much everyone in town. Now they hit about once a week, sometimes less, but the droning does last longer than it did before. The longest one recorded so far was a full three minute stretch, rather than the multiple short bursts. The source remains unknown.

There are dozens of bounties posted in The 3 Daggers for packs of hellhounds (and possibly some black dog variants), all listing different locations where the creatures have been sighted. It’s a good way for hunters to make some extra cash!

Two large sinkholes have opened up in Worm Row and Gatlin Fields. The latter seems to have compromised the structural integrity of the Allgood Death Pit, and has deepened the already-sizable mass grave, spilling remains down into the earth. It has helped with the smell, but no one knows how far down the pit now goes, and most aren’t very keen on going down there to find out.

The sinkhole in Worm Row has claimed a couple blocks worth of apartments that sit very near the Flat itself, and aside from the rubble that still clings to its crumbling edges, seems as deep and dark as the sinkhole in the fields. It’s unclear if the influx of demonic creatures in the town are coming from these sinkholes, but that wouldn’t be a bad guess.

On April 8, there will be a full solar eclipse that will be visible to all in town. Aside from looking awesome, this phenomenon is going to have some far-reaching effects. Supernatural creatures that have an affinity with the sun are going to be feeling especially drained of energy after this eclipse, perhaps even for days or weeks. Conversely, those empowered by the moon will be feeling a little extra pep in their step! Hopefully they can control it. While the eclipse is happening, even those who don’t normally see ghosts or have any connection to the supernatural might be able to peer into another world. Surely no emotional or mental harm can come of that within 4 minutes. 

Believers in the supernatural have been warning others to stay inside when the fog rolls in. It’s hard to tell if it’s normal fog, or if it’s Deogen… and really, it isn’t worth the risk of finding out. This has been especially challenging with the increase of stormy and foggy, wet weather. 

Some people have been blaming the new sinkholes on the local cryptid known as the Moleman. A figure matching his description has been reported lurking in the nearby alleyways of Worm Row, but that can't be true, right? Either way, it’s probably safest to keep your distance.

The authorities mostly disapprove of the monetization of the leg because no one knows anything about it, and it might be dangerous. That hasn’t stopped people from paying to touch it and others from just climbing over the barriers. If you can get close enough to get a scraping of… whatever the leg is made out of, there’s some speculation of it being a helpful ingredient for alchemical amplification of objects—it does seem to trend towards negative effects, however.

Three ages ago, the Cataclysm broke our world; the Old Gods broke free of the Abyss and spread the Blight across the continent of Taravell. All these years later, the Old Gods are a distant memory, and the Blight is nothing more than a story meant to frighten children. Conflict brews on all sides in the Queendom of Lysara; the neighboring Kingdom of Iskaldrik has fallen to an old enemy that vanished long ago. Over the next few months, refugees will begin pouring into Lysara's borders. To the south, the fanatical nation of Astoria has declared war on all witches - burning them at the stake or cleaving them from their magic entirely. In Lysara, there is hope; an unbroken line of women has ruled the Queendom for three thousand years.

*The Queendom is a plot-heavy skeleton roleplay with troupe-based events. Several skeletons will travel through the realm with writing prompts to help guide muns throughout the event.

hello,  folks!  here  are  some  news  updates  for  our  current  themis  team  and  also  potential  applicants! we  will  be  having  our  first  activity  check  today  at  11:59  PM  PST.  if  you  have  not  fulfilled  our  activity  requirements,  which  is  currently  two  (2)  thread  responses  per  muse  to  two  (2)  different  characters  per  week  on  tumblr,  your  role  will  be  at  risk. for  our  opening  event,  tumblr  replies  to  in-character  intros  account  towards  activity.  in  the  case  a  player  is  unable  to  meet  the  activity  requirements  on  time,  please  contact  us  by  sending  an  ask  or  dming  the  main  blog  before  the  activity  check. shifting  gears,  we  are  loving  all  the  amazing  writing  for  our  first  event!  while  (𝑑𝑖𝑠)𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛  will  be  officially  coming  to  a  close  on  the  29th,  any  starters  which  take  place  during  this  event  can  be  carried  over  and  continued  even  after  the  event  closes  in  real  time.  so  don't  worry  if  you  believe  you  will  not  be  able  to  finish  a  side  story  in-time!  we  suggest  to  start  it  during  the  event,  as  some  side  stories  will  be  unavailable  after  the  29th. there  will  also  be  a  TTRPG  (table  top  roleplaying  game)  interactive  event  on  our  discord  this  week  related  to  the  events  of  act  i,  chapter  i.  we  cannot  wait  to  see  how  this  goes!! furthermore,  as  players  interact  with  each  other  as  well  as  the  environment,  new  features  may  be  unlocked.  we  recommend  that  our  themis  team  has  their  submit  open...  especially  if  they  are  responding  to  every  in-character  story  beat  intro!  ;)  to  help  with  the  last  legs  of  the  event,  there  will  be  a  lore  drop  coming  soon  to  a  fhq  main  near  you!

Happy (almost) October, everyone! As your admins are feeling super inspired this Halloween season, we're giving you not one, but two Halloween events — spanning across the month of October. Our first event will be a canon Halloween event, as we traditionally do events. Tensions will be heavy — we don't recommend missing out on this one. ;) Our second event, inspired by all the mystery and superstition that comes with the date, we'll be wrapping it all up with our very first AU event. More details to come! AS FOR NOW... We're kicking off our Halloween event pre-game. Members, please check for instructions below. (And if you're not yet a member, this is the perfect time to join in time for the event!)

— IC, the event will be on October 31st. But since OOC we'll be starting it early to give us plenty of time to write things out, you may all consider that October 31st is only a couple days away.
