AN: I wanted to write this last year, but didn’t, and then the enablers in the BBE server forced encouraged me. So enjoy this cracky Avengers Tower fic, where nobody dies and everyone lives happily ever after.

“Oki doki, kiddos - what’s so important we’ve brought forward movie night to…” Tony looked at his watch. “... 3 o’clock in the afternoon?”
He looked around the lounge in confusion as Nat, Wanda and Bucky rearranged all the sofas, cushions and beanbags. Flag bunting hung from the ceiling, and the small kitchenette counter was laden with various snacks.
“It’s Eurovision, Tony.” Nat’s tone of voice suggested that that explained it all.
It did not.
“Euro-what now?”
Wanda came up beside him and started to steer him towards one of the seats.
“Just sit down, Stark. It’s about to start. Now where are the others?”
She looked around, auburn hair flying, but relaxed as Clint walked in, a grin on his face, followed by Bruce, Steve, and Sam. Wanda looked around them and smiled as Vision floated through the wall and towards her.
Clint bounded forward, launching himself over the back of the sofa and bouncing down next to Tony.
“Boy, are you in for a treat! This is going to be epic.” He grinned, completely unfazed by the blank looks from the other men.
Sam settled on one of the other couches after a stern glare from Bucky, Steve joining him.
“Umm, could you possibly explain further?”
“If you will allow me…” The dulcet tones of FRIDAY echoed through the room as Nat and Bucky continued to shift and shuffle things around their confused team mates. “The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual event held in mid May every year, where the countries across the European continent all submit a musical act singing an original song. There are two semi-finals and then the final 26 acts star in the Final.”
Steve still looked confused.
“Well, what do the winners get?”
“The winning country gets to host the competition the following year, providing a boost for tourism and culture.”
Bruce settled down on the third couch, somehow having already snagged a bowl of popcorn.
“So the songs are good then?”
Nat snorted derisively.
“Nope. They are camp and cheesy, with ludicrous outfits, smoke machines and lots of pyrotechnics. But that’s the joy of it. And lots of the countries sing in their own language, so you have no idea what the song is actually about.”
Tony’s eyes went wide, nothing any clearer than it was before.
“Then why are we watching?”
As one Nat, Bucky and Wanda turned towards him.
“Because it’s Eurovision.”
“Umm, okay then…” He sunk down into the cushions, not sure it was worth risking the ire of undoubtedly the most dangerous trio in the room. “Can I ask why Thor gets out of this…”
Just then, the building shook, the unmistakable rumbling and light display signifying the bifrost had just hit the roof. “..Scratch that.”
Nat turned on the television and squished in next to Clint. Vision and Wanda snuggled down into the beanbags. Thor burst into the room a few minutes later, placing Mjolnir onto the countertop.
“I haven’t missed it, have I?”
He took the final space next to Bruce, who passed over the bowl of popcorn.
“It’s the flag parade, apparently.”
The blonde god leant forward, arms resting on his knees.
“Ooo. I know this one! That’s Norway. I like them.”
Bruce smiled and elbowed his friend.
“Of course you do, they still treat you like a god.”
Across the room, Steve leant over to Bucky to whisper in his ear.
“Can I ask, if this is a European competition, why are Australia taking part?”
“Because they love how camp it is, and asked if they could join in.”
“I’m going to be confused during this whole thing, aren’t I?”
“Uh-huh…” Bucky threw some M & Ms up in the air, catching them in his mouth.
Back on the central sofa, Nat started to bounce slightly.
“Here we go! Prepare to be amazed…”
For the next 2.5 hrs the team sat, glued to the television, all manner of emotions running through them as they watched the eclectic musical display.
“Am I missing something,” asked Sam. “Why are they singing about Edgar Allen Poe?”
Bucky shrugged. “Why not?”
“Okay..?”
Steve nudged Bucky.
“Buck - what’s she singing?”
“About how her love for her man is driving her crazy, but she doesn’t know if he feels the same.”
“Okay..?”
“My love…”
“Yes, Vis?
“This is an anti-war song, isn’t it?”
“It is, Vis.”
“Okay..?”
“Earth to Sam! Earth to Sam!”
Tony threw a screwed up piece of paper across the room and watched Sam jolt and shake his head as it bounced off.
“What?”
“You seem a bit invested in the Cyprus act there….”
“Fuck off, Tony.”
“Okay..?”
“Nat?”
“Yes, Bruce?”
“I don’t want to be rude, but is there a reason she seems likes she’s dressed like a werewolf?”
“Because it’s Eurovision.”
“Umm…okay..?”
Thor was bouncing in his seat as the Finnish act started.
“This is more like it!”
Bruce peered at the screen, as though the neon pink and green outfits were starting to give him a migraine.
“But…but what’s it about?”
“Going out drinking!”
“Okay..?”
“Errrrm, Buck…What the hell did I just watch?”
Bucky didn’t even turn his head at Steve’s question.
“Croatia.”
That didn’t really help. All Steve knew was that he’d just seen something he couldn’t unsee.
“Okay..?”
The act from the UK finished and Tony stood up, cracking his neck.
“Well, guys. Thanks for that, I think. But now that’s over…”
“Nope!” Nat reached across Clint, who’d fallen asleep between them, slowly drooling on a cushion, to grab hold of Tony’s t-shirt and pull him back down. “Now it’s the half time show while the voting is done, and then it’s the results. And this year, we can vote from outside Europe. Look, there’s an app and everything.”
Tony blinked slowly in disbelief. “When’s it due to finish?”
“About 7pm.”
“What!” At Tony’s shout Clint sat bolt upright, snorted and sucked up a string of drool. “This thing goes on for 4 hours. Like how?”
“BECAUSE IT’S EUROVISION!” Came the chanted reply, this time with Thor joining in.
“Okay..?”
Tony pulled out his phone and opened the app store with a shrug. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
“I got $50 on Finland. Who wants in?”
At 7.05pm Tony sat staring at the screen, mouth wide open as the others groaned and started to pass cash towards Bruce.
“What the fuck just happened?”
Bruce smiled and shrugged.
“It’s Eurovision, Tony.”

Introducing a new kind of Harry Potter fest…
Ready to prove how much you love your favorite Silver Trio Slytherins?
Then join us in participating in the first ever fest hosted by The Writing Heirs of Slytherin Discord Server!
Silver Trio Fest is a Harry Potter fanworks fest dedicated to the main Slytherins in the Lightning Era of the Wizarding World!
Fest Information
Originally, the Silver Trio, the Slytherin version of the Golden Trio, referred only to Draco, Pansy, and Blaise. However, with our fest, we decided to include characters such as fan-favorite Theodore Nott as well as Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle.
The premise is simple: Create any fanwork (fic or fanart) you like! However, and this is where the challenge comes in, the main characters of the ship you include in your fanwork must be a Slytherin from the Silver Trio crew!
The Slytherins you can choose from are the following:
Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Theodore Nott, Blaise Zabini, Gregory Goyle, and Vincent Crabbe!

Fest Rules
All genres, tropes, and pairing types (platonic, couples, and polyships) are allowed in this fest.
All levels of writers and artists are welcome too! Even if this is your first fest!
Your main characters and the main ship/pairing in your fanwork can only be Slytherins from the Silver Trio as outlined in our rules doc listed below! No exceptions!
Authors: there is no maximum word count for your work. But we do encourage you to submit a fic that is at least 1,000 words.
Artists: As long as you follow the guidelines above, you may submit any form of fanart you like, including moodboards! However, AI-generated work and commissioned work from other artists may NOT be submitted!
This fest is an Author/Artist Revealed event. Your fanwork will be revealed on the dates listed above. When the fest is over, we will highlight your fanwork on our discord and our tumblr throughout the month of March.
You do not have to be a member of The Writing Heirs of Slytherin Discord to participate in this fest. However, we do recommend joining so that you can be in contact with other Silver Trio Fest participants! It’s also the quickest way to get a hold of the admin team!
Note: Our server has a 21+ age requirement to join, but this fest is open to fic writers and artists of all ages!

So, here’s the thing... I’m equally as incoherent about this AU, so we’ll be fine. If you come up with anything else, just ask. I’ve already told a few people who the copycat is I just want to yell about my kids and all the trauma I’m putting them through (I swear I love them I just also love horror films! so I’m combining my loves)
If I had the time I’d be working on this right now and I wish that was more of a joke than it is

Under a cut because I’m so excited about this concept and this is gonna be long thank you for asking even these I will try to make sense 💜
If this gets written, the party where the Cozy Trio were attacked would be like... the prologue, so to speak? It would be partially described, or at least the scene that Trudy, Voight, and Al find would be described. I have to start right off the bat with Mouse covered in blood and suffering and protecting two kids - for reference, he was 17, while Jay and Hailey were 15, and the attack happened at his party he held while Thelma and Gregory were at a fundraiser and therefore not home. He absolutely feels partially responsible for everything that happened that night, because if it wasn’t for him, that many people wouldn’t have been in one spot for Knox and Disco Bob to easily find, and there would have been less carnage, at least, if not none at all.
So the way they’re found - locked in a bathroom with no windows so there’s only one entrance to guard, Jay bleeding from a few knife wounds (alive but clinging to it), Hailey scared and sitting on the tile floor next to him with less serious injuries but still plenty of blood on her hands and clothes, Mouse with a dirty cop’s gun raised and ready to fire at the door while he’s shaking too much to actually pull the trigger (again, because he already shot Knox to save Jay less than an hour ago). That would be described in the prologue, as an introduction to this universe and what, exactly, readers would be getting into. Just these absolutely terrified kids who survived something horrible and have to somehow move forward from that. The rest of the party and that attack might be described in flashbacks, later? Like when the copycat starts killing and the similarities are obvious to the Cozy Trio and the people who worked the original case? Things that would tie back a little bit more organically than just dropping all of it at the beginning.
The original killers get unmasked kind of anticlimactically? There’s not a lot of mystery in the original case, in a way. Knox is a college kid who crashed the party and no one there actually knew very well. At most he helped them get alcohol, but it’s the Gerwitz house so there was probably more just whatever they had laying around - wine, fancy expensive beer, top shelf liquors, stuff like that. And then Bob conveniently shows up shortly after the first kill, in uniform, claiming that a neighbor complained about the noise. They’re both people who are not supposed to be there, people who stand out in the small crowd of the party, so when the attacks continue throughout the night, there’s a moment of “wait, where are those guys we don’t know???” that kind of gives them away.
The copycat killings and attacks are the mystery, and therefore the focus of the fic, if it ends up happening. There are four attacks made by the copycat that lead up to their reveal:
an attack on a teen Halloween party, which alerts the team to what’s happening and sets them on the case and sets up the three red herrings
an attack on Jay, which clears [red herring 2] of suspicion
an attack on Mouse, which clears [red herring 1] and [red herring 3]
an attack on Hailey, where the real copycat(s) is/are revealed and taken down
This is like... over planned. Maybe I’ll write it for Halloween this year or something 😅 we’ll see. But until then I will happily babble about it and go on and on about all my plans (with the red herrings and copycat(s) redacted most likely) so as soon as you have more coherent questions, or if anyone has any questions (coherent or otherwise), absolutely feel free to send them!

the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
you've made this hard for me by excluding those two... rei is one of those characters who is "unpopular" as in, ime, actually disliked rather than just ignored, and the target of a lot of unfair assessments by virtue of being an abused spouse; spinner is a character who is "unpopular" as in ignored, which is also puzzling because he's one of the few characters who actually sustains an emotional arc throughout the last half of the series, which is gay enough that people would go crazy over if he was drawn to be conventionally attractive. if he wasn't off-limits i would put in a strong argument for spinner... u_u
i don't think there are other, more important characters whose popularity are disproportionate to their screentime/role in the story, and i don't really like most random side characters anymore (rip dabistits jirou fan 2017-2019). imo bnha is one of those stories where you have more characters who are disproportionately popular for doing nothing than characters who are disproportionately unpopular (because 80% of the cast does nothing fr). but okay. in order to not be a copout i will still answer:
himiko. HEAR ME OUT, yes, she gets a lot of merch and made a strong showing early on the series. (take the following with a grain of salt because i only interact with 5 people in the fandom,) but i think himiko has recently been less favored in comparison to the other villains. dabi has a lot of haters but also diehard fans, and i think even normie bnha readers have come around to tomura. himiko hasn't really kept up with the growth of that diehard fanbase or general popularity, despite originally being one of the "villain trio." her motives aren't given the same depth as other characters, and there's usually very little focus on her as her own character. maybe people like her as part of the lov, as the "little sister," or worse as part of a ship with some adult, but rarely for herself. she's one of the few fleshed out female characters in the series, and people don't even take advantage of that.
it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...
there's so many possibilities the fandom sleeps on but lets just say spinaraki. i think it deserves to have people making genuinely unhinged posts about them and moodboards and quotes about walking with your lover into hell or whatever. there should be amvs set to i'll follow you into the dark by death cab for cutie. there should be artists devoted to them and fixating on just This One Ship. the amount of canon backing they have is unreal but everyone would rather draw two cute guys who canonically hate each other or something.
