This is about the art trademark thing. I’ve literally been sitting here for eons just staring at your art trying to think of how to put it into words but I think I figured it out.

Idk if this makes sense but it gives me book vibes. Like if a full novel (fiction or otherwise) had pictures that’s what they’d look like. Or like, while this may or may not be true, it looks like the art style of someone who read a LOT of books growing up lol.

Like I dunno just that certain feeling you get (or maybe just me) when you’re reading a book. I feel that same energy looking at your art, idk how to explain it any better.

But it’s very nice and kind of makes me feel a little nostalgic too.

I’ve actually been experimenting with style and texture, so the book vibes you’re getting are probably due to the paper texture I’ve been adding to my work recently lol, that and the occasional fade I add at the edges. Also you got me right there, I was definitely a serial reader growing up, should probably get back into actual books, but these days I mostly consume comics, Tillie Walden, James Tynion IV and Jen Wang are some of my favs in comics right now (that has nothing to do with any of this i just really love comics, everyone go read the Sonic IDW comics too if you already aren’t).

But thanks again!! I’ve taken a LOT of inspiration from 90′s and 00′s animation in my art so it’s nice that the nostalgia is possibly coming through in that way too.
