a needed disclaimer is that I made zero edits to peoples work (other than a few grammar things) so the only panel that are my thoughts (Cemetery) is page one!

my full piece for @empires-rainbow-zine! i’m SO happy with how this one turned out. i feel like i really accomplished a lot with my art in 2023 and became so much more comfortable with backgrounds and rendering, and this one in particular stands out to me as one of my best pieces of the year :]

OK I WENT AND SCANNED THE ZINE I MADE AND... here are most of the pages - so every middle "spread" has one left and right page on the back of it and then a bigger pic once its unfolded, but didnt include every side for every larger spread.

this basically explores a bit of folke and adrian's relationship - adrian, the Creature, ends up finding folke's brother's recently deceased corpse and imitates his appearence, the only real way for a basilisk in their world to learn to shapeshift into something.

So their relationship is a bit complicated. but also, it ends up eventually settling into something that isnt only full of bitterness...

I'm thinking of making a zine about robotfuckers, alien fuckers, monsterfuckers, you name it. I'd be taking submissions people send in about how they found out they liked these, what they like about them, their favorite characters, how they relate to it and such things of that nature. I'd be making collages for each submission revolving around its unique story. Could be a poem, a 1st person account, any form of text.

This will only be possible with your submissions. I want to make more content for the community and to let people be seen and heard, please consider giving the project a look :)

Summary of art for 2023! I thought I did nothing this year but look at that!

Honestly I had more art than I anticipated, considering it felt like half the art I did this year was commissions. Which is impressive for someone who doesn't advertise that my commissions are open lol Working on another animation, joined a couple more zines this year, made lots of small sprites for desktop ghosts... Not a shabby year ✨

Who I am/What this blog is for

Hi! I'm Cemetery and I have recently gotten a bad hyperfixation on zines due to a school project! This has led to me deciding to make zines! For my first zine (titled "Spectrums of Lesbianism" at least for now) I gathered some people I know to contribute but these zines won't always be just me compiling other people's ideas and adding in some of my own. I am a sociology major with a gender studies minor so I love to read theory and sometimes spout off my own ideas. Do not expect a consistent turnout because I am getting close to graduating and I do have other things I have to do like a "real" part-time job and gig work as a drag queen. All in all, I am really making zines about queerness and whatever I want because I will find a way to make things queer. Contributors will be linked/tagged when they want, and because it needs to be said, when its not explicitly by me (Cemetery) it's not my ideas or experiencesand that of the author/artist.

I hope everyone enjoys my zines!
