Prompt-based fandom events are when you really learn everyone’s colors like you’ll find the people who take the prompt “death” and come up with some smarmy ship-art of character A and character B walking over dead leaves while wearing scarves and drinking hot cider and then you’ll find the people who take the prompt “sunshine” and write how a bright glint of sunshine reflected off the barrel of a gun is the absolute last thing character A sees before taking a bullet to the chest

you can lead a content creator to water but you sure as fuck can’t make him drink

Would you mind sharing more about Dazatsu DDLC?

(Referring to this post) I don't mind at all!

Atsushi is just an ordinary highschool student. Every morning he walks to school with his friend Dazai, sits through his classes and heads to the Literature club.

His poems seem so clunky next to Chuuya and Kunikida, who seem to be born to create poetry. All Atsushi's poems always end up being about a white tiger.

Despite his passionate talks of death, all Dazai's poems are always about the beauty of a sunset.

Life is peaceful, so peaceful that Atsushi doesn't want to question much. Even when things don't make sense. Even if something is wrong.

Even if something is clearly missing.

So I drew BSD x DDLC doodles before, and want to eventually write it out! Basic premise is the ADA and some Port Mafia members get trapped in an ability space (kinda like Poe's ability), but it's a time loop where they are under the illusion that they are highschool students. Every time one of them dies (usually one who has the most suspicions), the loop resets, and that person is erased from everyone's memory.

Until there's no one left.

Well... that's what is supposed to happen. But then, Atsushi remembers a certain bandaged man he should've forgotten, and the illusion starts to break apart.

That's the gist of it! It's kiiind of a crossover, but I guess saying 'its based on DDLC' is more accurate xD

(Referring to this post) OH BOY

An 18 year old executive of the Port Mafia Dazai suddenly appears at the Agency. No one knows how or why, considering their Dazai is right there, and he more than anyone insists that they can't let this guy just roam around.

And yeah, now there's two Dazais at the Agency office, and one of them has to be monitored at all times. And of course who else would be at Dazai babysitting job but Atsushi.

And so we have Mafia Dazai, trying to gather information about this world and time, observing his other self and trying to understand what would make him work in some Detective Agency.

We have Atsushi, who treats Mafia Dazai more like a person and not some bomb who's about to go off at any second, and Mafia Dazai instantly clocks on that he has a very obvious crush on older Dazai. Which he isn't above exploiting.

And we have current Dazai, who, faced with his past self, is very unhappy that everyone else gets to see him like this. And he only gets more and more unhappy when that brat is trying to flirt with Atsushi, but only because he knows he wants to use him. Not because he's jealous and was planning on ignoring his feelings forever and now someone else is hitting on Atsushi and its not just anyone else its literally HIM and he isn't supposed to be here go bother your own Atsushi-

So yeah its called 'nightmare' because usually my writing isn't all that angsty, but in this one literally everyone is uncertain and conflicted of their feelings and its one huge mess and I feel like even my tendencies to make things more silly won't save these boys from emotional damage

Also for this one I even stated doodling potential covers but sure I like these lol

How do artists do it? How do they make just one singular drawing. How do they put everything in just one piece? How do they settle on one singular thing to capture, and it satisfies them? How do they settle on just... one still frame, and feel like it's enough?
