Personal headcanon that Usopp and Nami bought their mothers' recipes with them on the Merry. Neither family was particularly rich but (and I'm basing this on my family) they have a few notecards with recipes lovingly writing down. They're borderline illegible and probably says things like "a pinch of nutmeg," "enough salt," and "measure garlic with your heart". (Bellemere's orange duck recipe is there, and I don't remember Banchina cooking, but maybe she has pie or fudge recipes that Usopp barely remembers anymore).

Sanji loves them and tries to recreate them whenever possible, especially if it seems like some comfort food is needed or if someone just really needs a pick me up. They are treated with upmost care and kept safe to avoid damage.

If Luffy is Brazilian and he grew up in Foosha then it means that Foosha = Brazil and since Shanks and crew spent a lot of time there I like to think he’s familiar with the culture and this is all an excuse to draw Shanks and Yasopp bawling to Evidências because I think they would.
