I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them

ngl something that has been bugging me lately is the unspoken expectation that we, as roleplayers, must divide our energy and free time equally amongst everyone we interact with. this is just not realistic to expect of people. people are going to have favored rp partners. its completely normal and healthy for people to spend more energy and time on people they have fostered a close ooc relationship with. its super weird to shame people for consistently interacting with their friends on this hellsite. i know it can suck feeling like youre being left out of an experience, but trust me, you cannot artificially recreate that. not only does it take chemistry that sometimes people do not have ooc (doesnt mean we dont get along or arent compatible, just some people are *more* compatible with us) but it also takes work. time. the people we roleplay with on a consistent basis are often our best friends whom we talk to on a weekly if not daily basis. its something that is fostered through mutual understanding, expectations, preferences, and taste. like. its okay to have friends guys, its okay to put priority on your friends and favorite rp partners. it doesnt mean youre in a clique or 'neglecting' your other rp partners. and honestly reacting with jealousy and anonymous hostility towards people who are just trying to roleplay with eachother is super shady and petty behavior. such an 'FOMO' attitude will not earn you any level of friendship with anyone if you come at people with the expectation that their time and energy is some kind of thing you are entitled to, and not something that is at a premium for most people.

he’s a fucking racist and abusive asshole of a man. yes he was abused, but that gives us the reason for his actions, it does not fucking excuse it. y’all do triple backflips through flaming hoops to defend this man while demonizing female characters (mainly nancy) for literally being teenagers. nancy called a relationship bullshit bc she was drunk and in agony over losing a friend and having everyone act like it never happened. she pointed a gun at steve to scare him off because a fucking demogorgon was coming and he didn’t know. she takes up arms to defend the kids from so many different threats while also dealing with her own fucking issues. billy threw lucas against a wall and threatened to break him just bc he was black and hanging around max. yes, he definitely could’ve used a support system like jonathan had, but he never fucking tried to make one. he and max could’ve tried to bond together under the abuse of neil. he could’ve talked to somebody - anybody - but he chose not to and instead lash out and take his rage out on anyone and everyone. did the narrative treat him weirdly? yes, i think so. but that doesn’t make him into this uwu soft boy y’all want him to be so desperately. like, this is the man who wanted to beat on kids and literally tried to bash steve’s face in with his fists. he intimidates and pushes around anyone he can, namely max and lucas. the duffer brothers and caleb confirmed his actions were racially motivated towards lucas. i’m not saying he deserved to die, nor am i ignoring the obvious trauma he went through, but i’m not using it to justify his actions and make excuses for his shitty behavior.

idc how y’all headcanon him but it’s fucking weird how much y’all wanna change about him to make him into ur sad boy of the month. anyways, rant fucking over with.

i dont really care if something has bad writing like. im aware of that going in and if it does what it sets out to do then--as far as the general writing quality goes--its whatever to me, mostly, cause any other critique or gripe i have of it can rest on top of "but at least its hitting its own target (or doing its best to)" overall i tend to have an attitude of "everyone starts somewhere" and "even bad writing can be entertaining" and "art is art, creation is creation, etc" so like. even if i won't call bad writing good, im like. idc it can just Exist yknow.

what Really irritates me is when bad writing acts like its good with zero self awareness. when they have lost the plot of their own plot (if they ever had it to begin with). when bad writing acts like its reinventing the wheel or the best thing since sliced bread when it is in fact just a really shitty wheel and a stale loaf. and all my other critiques and gripes can thus boil down to "what are you even doing!! where are you going!!!" bonus irritation points whenever a fan(base) refuses to acknowledge all this as well.

It’s kind of hard to not know of their origins when they just look so different. It’s very clear that they’re of either clotern or Highpeak descent, but considering that the Patchy Twins are foundlings, nobody really cares enough to dig into it.

They’re definitely not of Mightmire descent, but they are mirefolk, paws-down. And anyone who says otherwise will surely regret it.

Israel has now bombed the last hospital in Gaza. You read that right. The last (meaning not the first or second) Hospital in Gaza. 500 are dead. 1200 children have died in one week. 6000 bombs dropped on innocents in, what? One week? And the world watches. Or worse, turns a blind eye. Or even worse, looking, and seeing, and applauding the genocide.

Hi!! Dear friends, I need your help. Could you drop in the comments any queer book/movie titles you can think of? It can be any genres, fiction, nonfiction, educational literature etc

We're making a bibliography at the library I work at for pride, and tho I have already researched and gathered a lot of titles, I want to put as many as possible, so I thought of asking here

one realization i’ve had is that a lot of the models for masculinity and/or manhood that i kind of gravitated to when i was younger were not the most typically masculine. it’s weird having things in common with other transmascs but also very clearly going for different things. like i feel a kinship with you but sometimes i think we’re not quite the same. also been a reminder of like what kid me was actually going for when i dressed and acted The Way i Did in middle school
