Second take: No Country for Old Men (dir. Joel & Ethan Coen, 2007)
This film is one of the most frequently popping-up titles in the slew of podcasts I listen to. It's a great watch, especially when it's a slightly-frantic COVID watch (which made me realize that this post is late by eight months), but it's not my favorite film among the big US titles of 2007: it's Michael Clayton, which I think should have received all the big Oscars that year. Here, Brolin is fantastic, and he should've taken Depp's spot in the Best Actor line-up. As is Jones, who, for some reason, was nominated in the same year for the film where he's overshadowed by Sarandon, who hasn't received any nomination since 1995 and should have.

personally love the interaction in the start of s4 where steve goes “ugh, you know i don’t do double vhs.” when robin suggests doctor zhivago. like ugh robin!!!! we’ve talked about this before!!! steve has a limited attention span and if robin puts on something too long, he will start shooting her with rubber bands

Capaldi era doctor who being overlooked is genuinely tragic cause if the people that dropped it when Smith left just watched it for a few more episodes they'd suddenly find themselves three seasons later staring at their screen like this

Don't we all just wanna see Crowl E and AzEVAphale holding hands at the end?
And M-Oriel for good measure, can't leave them out ~
Good Omens Study Club movie poster art!
At first I thought making this crossover would be very hard, but turns out it was super fun! Especially putting in all the easter eggs.

We were robbed of a Hueso Jr. episode because good god I need he and Leo to interact.
I can just imagine an episode where a very busy Hueso has no choice but to ask Leo to babysit, and Leo’s like heck yeah I’d rock at that.
And of course Hueso is constantly like oh god what if something goes wrong that’s PEPINO he left with his CHILD.
So continuously throughout the episode he imagines the worst case scenarios for what could possibly be happening.
Every time Hueso imagines another catastrophic scenario the scene cuts back to Leo and Hueso Jr just calmly watching a movie or playing a game or something else equally as innocuous.
Eventually the worry gets to Hueso so much that he cuts his business short and races back home to see -
A peacefully sleeping Hueso Jr smiling as he lays snuggled up next to a shockingly quiet Leonardo.
He’s pleasantly surprised, and agrees to ask for Leo again next time he needs a babysitter.
Or, as it seems he may need to, when Hueso Jr. wants Leo to visit.
