❝ at first he didn't want anything serious, he actually didn't plan on asking you out at all, it was more an impulse he had on a moment of weakness.

❝ he's really soft when he has a crush. he leans closer to you as if there's some unknown force pulling him towards you, your scent feels stronger and more noteworthy than anyone's. his eyes force him to look at you as much as possible, memorizing every feature in every angle as if he could ever forget any. you were too pretty to forget, his mind took a screenshot of you a long time ago anyways.

❝ he has incredibly rough fingertips. it's like if time sharpened them like knife blades. he can give you back scratches without using his nails, which is concerning, but you never said anything about it. his hands are big and warm and they dont wrap perfectly around yours, it's more like he's holding a really small cup of tea. his palms are always warm and sometimes sweaty, they wrap completely around your hand and warm you up immediately. they're also incredibly veiny and defined, it's almost as if they were sculpted from a block of concrete.

❝ he is initially very cold and awkward about physical touch, mostly cause he doesn't want to get attached to you, but how couldn't he!? you were so perfect, so comforting. he loves when your hand brushes against his cold cheekbone, he leans immediately in the touch and sighs in relief almost as if he was denied oxygen. he likes hugging you from behind and sinking his face in your shoulder, forgetting all his problems for at least some seconds. minutes.

❝ not the biggest fan of pet names, he likes your name better. he likes saying it, he likes how the letters dance briefly on his tongue. he also likes it better when you call him by his name, the way it comes out of your sweet lips is just different. it's as if everyone else mispronounced his name his whole life, even himself.

fun fact; both his nicknames are based on flowers, specifically the meanings behind the yellow varieties.

yellow zinnias represent the sun, with all the warmth and happiness it brings. it's also a symbol of remembrance and honoring those you hold dear, never forgetting them

the yellow hellebore flower represents peace, serenity, and tranquility, yet in some cases, it can also represent stress, scandal and anxiety. additionally, it's commonly believed by more superstitious people that it can ward off evil spirits

i thought it was a neat way to give him some unique names, flower symbolism is super interesting to me
