He was dressed like an angel that came from above to bless people with his mere presence for an hour or so.
But you knew better than to believe the innocent smile on his face right now, he IS the definition of wolf in sheep’s clothing.
They all should’ve known better, so you don’t even feel bad for what was about to happen.
The ringtone echoed through the walls of the dorm.
Seonghwa was the one that got the honorable mission of retrieving the food safely.
The food arrived right on time as everyone got as comfortable as possible to watch the very last episode of the drama you both did together on Netflix
It was Yunho’s request, one that nobody thought anything of it because it made sense, right? It was an event worth celebrating for in every ateez member’s mind, the end of a very promising drama, that could lead to a very successful career in the future, for both Yunho and you.
They were elated for this. Everyone promised to watch on their own and wait for the last episode.
They were dying to know if the couple got together or not, even it was obvious it was supposed to be a romance-focused drama. It was engaging, ok? No one can judge them for caring way too much about those fictional characters. (Maybe there was a huge debate about who was right or wrong on the last episode three days ago on their group chat, but that’s normal!)
The last episode ended on a high tension scene, both characters were hurt, and now they were confronting each other, saying things that they didn’t mean and making everything worse than it was before.
Wooyoung came barging in Yunho’s room to hit him with a pillow for being so dumb that same night.
“Why did you hit me??”, it was Yunho’s response.
“You know why”, Wooyoung said and left the room.
Yunho texted you about the incident, first confused and then extremely offended that he got punished for his character’s actions when he found out, but more importantly, because Wooyoung was on YOUR side.
Wooyoung, in fact, was on your side since that traumatizing day, because you weren’t on Yunho’s plan and therefore, you were now replacing Yunho as his favorite.
“It’s time”, Jongho said as he pressed play on the 16th episode.
You exchanged glances with Yunho before the room went dark.
He smiled as he held your hands in his, that same smile you learned meant business.
Up until now, the spiciness of the drama stayed in the first episode for the most part. The rest of the scenes were the perfect mixture of fluff and angst, something the viewers could relate to and then get to know the characters to a deeper level, but now there are only a few knots to tie and some happy endings to show, including yours.
What’s better than a full ending cycle?
Close to the 20-minute mark, you excused yourself to grab some water in the kitchen.
You waited for the chaos, for some screaming and curse words, the absolute drama that only them could pull off, yet there was silence.
Silence in their dorm always means something’s up. It’s a warning sign for trouble. In this situation? You could guess the whole group fell dead on the ground all of a sudden.
The scene you walked into was just as amusing as it was in the first episode.
The 7 of them were still on their seats, mouth agape, eyes wide as the scene kept on going.
Yunho sat there with an easy smile on his face, just as entertained as you were. He was having the time of his life as he watched their expressions change to pure shock.
There wasn’t much revealing than it was already done before, no, that wasn’t the cause of the silent commotion. It was the bold dialogue, to put it lightly. It wasn’t cringe, otherwise all of them would be rolling on their backs laughing right now, it was good, the writing of the drama was excellent in general, something you’d always be thankful for, it made your job easier.
“Damn, that’s hot”, Wooyoung broke the defying silence in the living room.
After that, it was a chain reaction. Mingi laughed, then Hongjoong, who pushed Wooyoung to the ground. Then everyone was laughing.
You laughed so hard, you felt tears pooling in your eyes.
When you managed to find Yunho again, he was laughing on the floor.
The rest 30 minutes of the drama was completely forgotten after that.
"What do you mean that's hot?", Jongho was the first to ask, still flabbergasted on his seat.
"Because it was, come on, every single on of you though the same thing, don't act like you didn't!"
"It kind of was, I mean, the writing is good and it's Yunho, he's a good actor", San said as he shrugged.
"OK, let's stop with whatever conversation is this and finish the episode", Hongjoong said.
And his wish is a command so, that's exactly what happened.
But it was clear that no one was going to forget this drama anytime soon.

ok, let's start with the sweetest part, prelude. ACTUALLY, I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT YOU REPLY SO QUICKLY, GOD, NOT PASSED A FEW HOURS!!!!!! I THOUGHT YOU HAD TOO MANY QUESTIONS SO I DID NOT EXPECT A SO SOON REPLY!!
I’ll remind you once again how much I adore your work (after all, you deserve it!!), and I’ll also say that I specifically shouldn’t talk about posts tagged with the adm, because I’ve read your tumblr and twitter in its entirety several times, I even have a separate album in my gallery with answers that particularly interested me, there are several hundred screenshots there and I don’t regret anything! (sorry if my hyperfixation may be intimidating!!)

1. my wife doesn’t have a tumblr, but her suggestion interested me and can be seen in the first two screenshots(the translation sounds like: “after the release of “red hour” I have an assumption that andrey is more... athletic than misha. either this is because of ferry’s drawing style, or he really has such wide shoulders")so now we are interested to know about the physique of your characters!! maybe some of them are thin, or vice versa, a little overweight. and what about physical training? did you have any headcanons for this??? ( by the way, when I ask about “characters” I mean not only misha and andrey, but also europe and maya, because they are also worthy of attention <зз)
2. what about the abbreviation "dyusha" for andrey? in russian it is... not used very often, but still, it sounds very cute. so it would be interesting to know how you would feel about this? 3. I also want to hear about the names of the characters!! how did you choose them? I mean........ how did it happen that from ☺europa☺ you switched to 👹MiKhAiL👹?? (I'M SO SORRY, BUT MISHA'S FULL NAME SOUNDS SOMETHING THREATENING. MY UNCLE'S DOG HAS THE SAME NAME EHE- *ᕕ(ಥ▽ಥ)ᕗ*)
4. and lastly, let's return to my wife for another moment. she suggested that andrey was now also in a time loop. what do you say about that? and also in enigma, she noticed that misha seemed to be addressing the second person in the lines: "and if you wanted to be anything more than just free" and "you’ve seen a hundred lies I see that all the time". is this second person a viewer? or maybe one of the previously mentioned characters??

initially it was planned to attach two sketches, but andrey turned out TOO bad, I’m ashamed to show him. someday I'll redraw it into something normal.... maybe. but! okay im gonna try and answer everything here in a coherent way so sorry if nothing makes sense
im just fine with lotes of questions :) answering asks and responding to comments is one of my favorite things ever and i brings a verry big smile to my face
on andrei: i consider him to be a skinny little gut but not exactly unathletic, and in addition i think he would have basic combat training and probably be good with firearms. misha is probably a very average bodytype, nothing special, not particularly athletic.
i do not speak russian (though ferry has recently encouraged me to learn so maybe in like four years ill be able to form a sentence) so i dont know anything about the short forms so you can do whatever you want. if you coin it and peoples tart calling him that i will not stop it from happening
i do not name my characters, i usually let me friends name them (i think that the only one i named was europa and his partner). going forward maybe ill try to make it more cohesive
the time loop idea im seeing thrown around alot is really cool and while i havent particularly wrote any of my songs about that in general i see it fitting into the loose narrative i have going on. also in enigma misha is definitely talking to andrei whenever he says the word "you" but it could also be to the listener because the entire theme of enigma is 4th wall breaking and meta shenanigans like that

VIVANT EPISODE 5
WHAT THE HACYUASL HELL (AGAIN)
(so good!!!)
First, first!!
The moment where Doram and Nozaki try to get Nogi's Face ID at the restaurant was adorably funny.
Also: The Nozaki-Doram-Genghis teamup later? Love it.
Onto the next stuff in this episode (there's so much. I'm only just touching upon some things)
Nozaki being written and treated as a very competent state agent makes me happy. He's not hyper-competent, he has "fun", he's not hyper-serious all the time (that shit-eating-"You won't believe the plan I've cooked up heheheheh"-grin he has is golden--he's smart. He'll mess with people if he needs to and shares only the necessary info he has with those he trusts (at the moment). He also revels in messing with people haha. Plus he uses his jovial nature to get on others' good side, but he's sincere when he means it. I'm positive that prior to all this he truly has taken an interest in Nogi and is going to treat him the same way, but with more subtly poking to figure out what's going on
I love Nozaki (and I truly believe that in light of the reveal this week, he found Nogi endearing, was maybe falling for him or just wanting him to be ok idk, and now has to suspect him and truly learn who he is) but now I'm genuinely worried we will lose someone in the main cast by the finale.
(I have become a Nozaki oshi.)
A theory that had been floated about on twitter by multiple viewers in the VIVANT theories tag actually came to be. Multiple people pointed out that when Nogi was waiting outside the Balka International Bank, he was holding what looked like Ali's phone and something else. At first some wondered if it was a portable charger, but were curious when the switch happened. That was all revealed this week and I can't believe how much theorists were on the point trying to figure out what happened.
Nozaki's true past being discovered was more than I expected though. Amnesia, being sucked into the grim world of human trafficking...is this how Nogi F (or B through E) was born?
Finally: I can't tell if Sam was bad or if the CIA was trying to get Ali as an intelligence asset, BUT NOOOO SAM!!!!! NOGI F HOW THE HELL COULD YOU?! I LIKED OUR LUPIN IIIrd FANBOY CIA AGENT.
(that said, this means he met Sam at the Rongaly Military School then?!)
Jamine being some sort of "miracle child"?! Is Sakurai, Nogi's handler? Who's the head of BEPPAN?!
Now we find out that the character with Nino is Nogi's dad?! That he survived?! Nino is some kind of adopted son?! Or did his wife survive and they had another child?! Ali said he didn't meet her, but had seen the photos...but...still
The amount of silent screaming I was doing during the "execution" scene was obscene. I don't think I could've handled another episode 4 type ending. (That said, I think both Nogi F and Kurosue were willing to go all the way and cut the wires if Ali hadn't cooperated)
And I can't be the only one who is having a hard time telling Nogi A from Nogi F. I feel during the "executions", the apology was delivered by Nogi A. I think that in intense moments like the "executions" they both flip between each other, or even that the true Nogi is the one present. Not one or the other.
Nozaki slowly closing in on the TENT-BEPPAN stuff is wonderful to watch. The fact that Nogi Suguru was an officer with the National Police (and not the Prefectural Police) was surprising. Why did he quit? Why go to Balka? Nozaki being with a federal agency will easily be able to access this information now. What he does with the info he does learn will be interesting because at the moment, with the information viewers have from episode 5, it's that Nogi's father left the NPA(?), went to Balka with his wife and son, something happened, his son was kidnapped and trafficked, he changed his name and somehow he created a terrorist group based in Central Asia using his family's crest as its own symbol? I'm curious how the NPA officer-to-mystery-organization-leader thing happened.
(help this wink after he says "We're Public Security.". helppp!!)
Masato Sakai is a wonderfully talented actor. Episode 5 was an absolute treat of his talents. (Can he get more menacing roles in the future???)
I'm also noticing NogI F's actions and interrogation methods are reminding of an older Masato Sakai drama from 2010 where he led a "double life" (it's nothing like this level) called JOKER: Yurusarezaru Sousakan. In it, by day he's a law-abiding officer of the law and at night he's a bit of a vigilante ala "You have failed this city". There's more to it, but that's all I remember. I couldn't help but feel that as a much more mature actor, Sakai dipped into that a bit.
Speaking of Nogi F, while I understand that what we know of BEPPAN's mission is apparently for the sake of saving the country from a potential attack, it's currently at the "Cool motive, still murder" stage and deeply morally grey. I'd like to know how he came to be paired with Kurosue and if he knows about Nogi F.
Which, from what the lady at the orphanage mentioned, it sounds like Nogi F (or B, C, D or E) have been around since he was a small child....
Anyway. I'm watching Episode 6 after dinner or shortly. Idk. T_T)

YESS oh hell yeah jack is one of my 5ds favs let's GOOOO
favorite thing about them: ok im not done watching all of the ygos but Jack is really one of my favorite ygo rivals, if not my top favorite (it's a close match, I also love chazz and shark...) I just... love that he's this rival character who Does move from being a pompous class traitor cunt to this Still Kind of Cunty But Very Openly Loves His Friends So Much guy (i mean. they did fuck his character up a little bit especially in the absolute final stretch but.i take what i can get.) I love the duel against Fake!Jack, this concept that a ygo rival has to fight a personified physical embodiment of all his worse traits and outwardly proclaims that he Cares About His Loved Ones RULES!!!! hes also hilarious and i love his Resonators--little freaks!!
least favorite thing about them: the aforementioned way they Fucked Up His Character in the second half of the show, just that way they made him Weird About Women and dismissive of Carly ESPECIALLY IN LIKE THE LAST 2-3 EPISODES?!?! :( Like the Carly thing sucks in general but that ship's been sailed. There were definitely better ways they could have 'reset' Jack's character in the second half...sigh. At least there's the aforementioned Fake!Jack duel which rocks hard...and his Arc Cradle duel which is. My Favorite :,)
favorite line: god everything out of dub jack's mouth is so fucking funny. "Like in the dirt." "I'll serve them up a barrelfull of Jack Attack!!" HE'S JUST A BIG DOOFUS. IT'S SO GOOD.
brOTP: his dynamic with yusei and crow is soooo so good ;__; they are BROTHERS!!!!!!!!! i think about his relationship with yusei a lot especially...... like they love each other but also jack fucked things over real bad but he's trying to be better. despite how much they screwed up jack's character in the last like. three episodes. the last 5ds duel with him and yusei does make me cry. it's just a real good duel.
OTP: gotta be that scoopshipping sorry tails if this looks straight to the viewers <3 there is nothing better or funnier than this Mr. Cool Toughguy and his Cringefail Loser Girlfriend that he loves more than anything. He can pick her up in the biggest bear hug i just know it.
nOTP: not big on yusei/jack or jack/crow myself....they are simply foster brothers to me and im vastly more interested in that read. sorry. also dont really like jack/rex goodwin lol that one uhhh kind of sucks!!!!! in the manga thats his fucking dad!!!!!
random headcanon: ive been thinking about transhet jack ever since someone mentioned it in the tags of one of my posts. rex goodwin-funded top surgery. i also know in my heart jack is jacked (lol) and huge. built like gaston. this isnt even subtext this is just text. he can pick up two 12 year olds one handed. also i think he doesnt tip
unpopular opinion: he's a good character and a really solid rival and despite the way they biffed the landing with him in the end game theres still merit to be found in him in the second season!!!! Dx I LIKE HIM....

its rlly interesting hearing everyones canon events for what got them here the diversity in peoples reactions to dream or dnf or dteam and parasocialism etc is actually breathtaking. anyway here's mine (with most of the journey as a bonus) that no one asked for. WARNING IT'S LONG:
i was more of a slow burn in that i first became aware of who the hell dream (i think george too?) was during summer 2020 when the maia thing was happening (i think it was trending or something and EVERYONE knew her from prom dress so i was like hey i know her!), though i dont remember all of the details i just remember thinking "ok!" then closing the twitter app. didn't pay it any mind.
later i started to get dteam content on my tiktok fyp from compilations and thought why the hell not and started to watch them on youtube. i found the mc tag video and was HOOKED with the solo dnf challenge videos. fell out of it for a while because online school then came back officially on november 16 when unus annus ended and lmanberg exploded and i needed something else to obsess over to cope with isolation. i dont quite remember when quackity came into the equation but he was THE reason i got into cdnf (and lore too i guess) because he gave us the only pov of the dethronement and that was the first lore stream i watched live. i remember recognizing him from the raids and discords got talent videos and got more into him and dteam at the same time especially as 5/5 became a thing (so you can see why i was hurt really bad when april happened lol)
another part of it was heat waves.. i was pretty opposed to it at first because after dan howell's coming out i thought rpf was inherently invasive to content creators. and to be fair there was a lot of freaknasty shit written about phan that made them uncomfortable! but since i have no morals i caved and read it anyway under the justification that everyone kept saying this is really good characterization and writing so why not! (up until chapter 3 was released at this time) i finally decided to register for an ao3 account along with thousands of other people (before the waiting list got really long lol) and read it and well. here we are
the parasocial drontroversy was happening around this time too and i sort of talked about it but that indirectly caused me to lurk for the entirety of 2021 mostly on tiktok and twitter and twitch (i knowwww. it was pretty bad). part of that too was because of the drontoversies so i avoided engaging directly until i knew for sure that dream wasn't the evilest man ever. i was really cautious about him because i had this assumption of his character (white cis het (lol) man raised republican) but after seeing his growth and learning a bit about him i grew out of my initial timidity and embraced the stan label (in secret). i was also a big youtube viewer too i loved the animations people made and still do! a xanyleaves manhunt animation also convinced me to watch manhunt and dteam (any object show fans here lol?) i got sick of doing that and not dumping everything in my brain somewhere my irls wouldn't see so i lurked here for a while and officially joined in january 2022. it was pretty fun! but then after a while you could tell the wheels were falling off the wagon!
i left for probably a month following the drituation drop (still lurking for updates etc) but then decided to come back with a different account because 1. i decided for myself that it was ultimately a nothing burger after seeking out evidence when i was ready 2. i was sick of using that blog as a sideblog and this is all i blog about anyway 3. i was lonely :( i missed the few mutuals i had and seeing life on the dash. i also just wanted to help build something healthier from before. i think the christmas streams were the first time i felt READY and sure to actively come back and my time here here has been really wonderful for the most part. this is MY toxic radioactive echo chamber dumpster and i love being a bacteria living in it.
#tldr; slow burn. timid pet that doesnt trust people gets exposure therapy over time. i was always gonna end up here anyway no matter the#avenue i took LOL#only read if youre curious about my convoluted lore haha

ok sorry to make another post about this CW thing but like... again, it’s insane to think supernatural kept the cw afloat when spn would not have made it to s5 let alone s15 without the cw being kind of a shitshow that gave them a pass over and over. the cw kept supernatural afloat for a long time until that relationship developed into the mutually beneficial questionable mess that it was by the time s15 rolled around.
like i used to hang out on the cancellation bear website and other tv rating/cancelled show predicting websites and supernatural CONSISTENTLY was on the brink of being cancelled and in fact in season 6 and 7 got put in the friday night dealth slot... those seasons are the ones that SO CONSISTENTLY get proclaimed as ones that were ‘saved’ by cas or that the ratings only tanked in s7 when they ‘tried to write him off’ but it’s like... they were already in the graveyard slot they were already left to die... the ratings were already bad enough by the time s5 wrapped that they got moved!!! castiel was literally not a factor one way or another!! you stuck tv shows in the 9 pm friday spot to say their goodbyes and gracefully bow out.
supernatural’s saving grace was literally that it was on the cw so its shitty garbage ratings were enough to scrape by and the fact that its small audience was reliable meant that it was more economical for the cw to eventually move it OUT of that timeslot and pair it with new shows because that audience generally did not waver even when they were put in the death slot. fridays usually lead to a dip in ratings so if ur already cancelling a show, it doesnt really matter. spn’s ratings didnt dip all that much in the death slot. so the cw was like ok these collective 5 live viewers will show up no matter what so we’ll pair them in a better timeslot with some of these new shows we want to get eyes on and hopefully that will give those new shows AND spn a boost and that generally became the cw’s model for dealing with supernatural for the rest of its days. making and marketing new shows is EXPENSIVE. betting on a new show that would pull in optimistically the same or maybe a little more views than supernatural or possibly even less is a bigger risk than filling one of your timeslots with your hunk of junk that still functions well enough at the end of the day to do what you need it to do. THATS why mark pedowitz etc ended up saying spn would keep airing as long as j2 still wanted to do it. it’s bc their ratings were not astronomical but they DID NOT WAVER. and so they were reliably a good show to have to pair with new stuff and the cw was happy to keep doing that.
supernatural would not have made it past s3 on in order to develop that consistency without the cw being a tiny baby network without views or profit like i dont know how to explain to you guys that your jokes are as usual entirely based on misinformation.

um sorry i know everyone’s like over talking about this but i saw this twitter post and i went and found the tiktok and the comment and verified it’s the same amanda and the comment is real and it’s just really breaking my heart i’m so angry about this situation all over again like she was too scared to come forward this was all pre face reveal and like i’m sure the way people reacted was just all her worst fears coming true i truly hope she has a good support system around her i am livid truly

what's your take on the cw thing?
okay apologies if this isn't articulate, i've gotten maybe 6 hours of sleep in the past three days but i'm mostly seeing a lot of bitter spn fans acting like this is some sort of brilliant win on the part of the fandom or that homophobia tanked a successful network and will teach other networks better or whatever but that's just not an accurate picture of what the cw network is or has ever been? it's frankly surprising the cw has survived THIS LONG regardless of whatever insane supernatural fandom conspiracies circulate.
to start, the cw being for sale does not mean it's bankrupt, and bankrupt and not profitable do not mean the same thing whatsoever. netflix did not turn a profit until 2020 i'm pretty sure but that was just the nature of their business model. the cw having never turned a profit is unsurprising to anyone with even a crumb of knowledge about tv ratings. of the five u.s. commercial networks, the cw has since its inception been the smallest and pulled in vastly smaller audiences than any of the others. ratings that would get shows cancelled on any other network were smash hits for the cw bc its audience is so tiny. since they cant rely on huge live audiences to pull the advertising dollars of the other networks, most of their money came from syndication deals and global broadcast which is why most cw shows would get to 4 seasons before dying (syndication requires ~88 episodes). the cw itself came to be by merging two networks owned by cbs and wb that were money sinks on their own. clearly the merger wasnt enough to give those companies the win they wanted, and they're hoping involving a third party will finally work, i'm assuming. it's also a good example of how fandoms dont ACTUALLY impact the financials of a show. networks care about people being loud on here a /bit/ but they care about eyeballs even more than. supernatural, riverdale, the DC shows, everything that is the cw's bread and butter have massively popular online fanbases but that did not save the network. nbc and abc shows i dont hear a peep about online are thriving on networks that are surviving the death of network tv because millions will tune in week after week to watch them in a way that often younger, more online audiences simply wont do. it doesn't help that cw shows are in genres that are often far more expensive than shows that air on more popular networks.
tldr im surprised the cw lasted 16 years... i wouldve assumed they wouldve tried to offload it 6+ years ago because it's always kind of been treading water but i guess the pandemic was just the final nail in the coffin

This fanfic situation reminded me of my own reddit problem
You see, this one person put one of my posts on reddit in order to mock me. They didn't cover my name, and just put it right there
The post was innocent, it was saying how schlatt talking with connor about smplive made me incredibly nostalgic even if i never watched a smplive stream
This person put my post there, on connor's reddit, and just said "LMAAAAO LOOK AT THE TUMBLR LOSERS ADOPTING CONNOR AS A SOFT BOY, WHAT AN IDIOT"
The result? Connor saw it
My post had connor's name, had his tag, but I never wanted him to read it. But he did, because it was cross posted. He read it entirely to his 10k viewers. And people joined the mocking. They kept on laughing and saying how the author of that post must be an over dramatic 14 yo girl
I only knew about this bc a girl told me. She told me bc my name was in the post and she wanted to warn me. I went and saw the vod. Connor found it sweet, and said it was cool that just a normal talk could bring people thar kind of sentiment. Connor said my post was good.
Chat and reddit comments? Not that cool. They mocked me over and over, and thats bc I was lucky they didn't come at my blog. One friend of mine argued in the reddit comments enough so a mod could see and put the post down
And, easy like that, people forgot about my post. Time passed and thar thing was in the past, right?
To this day, i never tagged connor again
Why? It passed, people know better now, i should be cool. But I'm not, i still have this bad sensation that it will happen again and people will mock me for just being me
And thats bc my post had nothing wrong. No stereotypes, no crossing boundaries, no shipping, just straight up "connor and schlart talking makes me nostalgic"
Even if Connor said it was nice and he respected me, some viewers didn't. And that's the thing that keeps me from posting on his tag. And thats bc I'm a 18 yo rn
Imagine what isn't going on inside of that young writer's head that didn't know any boundaries, and got their fanfic (made bc they really admired quackity) showed to 200k peoples and used as a stand up number.
I know Quackity didn't want to make the fic the butt of the joke, but by interpreting it the fanfic became, in some point, the joke. And even if Quackity tried to ask his chat to be nice, some people aren't.
The fanfic was awful in relation of the boundary breaking and stereotypes??? Yes, but that doesn't mean it should be judged like a witch in salem. That kid should learn about boundaries by someone telling them and, even if they don't learn, no one deserves to feel like theres 100k pointing their finger at you and mocking, criticizing, laughing...
I just hope the writer is ok, and that they dont gave up on writing.

You sat up from laying down when you heard your phone ring. You looked at the caller ID.
Felix.
"What's up Felix?" You ask with a small yawn.
"Aww, how sweet," You hear in the background.
You giggle and ask, "Is that Sean? Hi Sean!"
"Yeah, we're playing Among Us and need an extra player. You down?" Felix explained.
"Sure, just give me a few minutes. See you soon, whore"
"Bitc-" You hang up before he can finish.
You got up and turned off your TV, going to get ready.

You quickly tweet out that you're going live and say something on your insta story as well. You start your stream and slowly watch people flood in.
"Hey everyone! How are you guys doing?" You wave and smile, reading the chat.
"Everyone doing good, awesome! And i'm sorry to anyone having a bad day. I hope i can brighten it a bit!"
"Okay, sorry i didn't give you a further notice. I didn't even know i was gonna stream. Felix invited me to play Among Us so... here we are!"
You quickly join the discord and pull up the game, putting a cover over where the code goes.
"Hello?" You ask as you join the call. A chorus of greetings came your way.
"(Y/n)?"
"Karl!" You smile brightly.
Karl Jacobs was a good friend of yours. You would play on the Dream SMP sometimes. When you would, it would mostly be you being stupid with Karl and Alex, also known as Quackity. You were even a well know citizen of El Rapids.
"LET'S GOOOOO!" He yelled, making you laugh.
"Hey (Y/n), do you know everyone here?" Sean asks you.
"Um," You quickly scan through the names, "no, i don't think so."
You recognized names but you only personally knew Felix, Sean, Karl, and Ethan.
"Oh my god! Your voice is so cute!" Pokimane exclaims.
You giggle softly, "Thank you Poki!"
You're voice wasn't high pitched or anything like that, you just always spoke very softly and calmly. You were also a bit quiet.
Felix introduces you to those that you didn't know.
"There's one more person we're waiting for," He says.
While everyone waits, you and Karl run around each other's little characters and make jokes between yourselves. You mute yourself to read donations every once in a while.
You hear the discord chime, signaling that someone joined the call.
"WAIT CORPSE! DON'T SPEAK YET!" Felix yelled. "We have a new player. This is my friend (Y/n), say hi to her"
"Hello (Y/n)," Corpse said. You were taken aback by how deep his voice was but you didn't show it.
"Hi Corpse! Nice to meet you!" You said happily.
"Okay, how is she not freaking out?" Bretman said, making everyone laugh.
"Uh, (Y/n), do you mind letting me have black? It's cool if not.." Corpse asked gently.
"O-oh sure, no problem." You were usually black with the pink flamingo hat, but you ran over to the little computer and changed your color.
"Simp," Ethan mumbled, knowing you never switch from black.
"Thank you," He said, then the game started.
The word “Imposter” appeared on your screen in red, yours and Corpse's characters underneath.
As the game started, you thought no one could hear you so you spoke to your chat. "His voice was so deep, what the fuck? Holy shit that was hot, i'm gonna-"
"(Y/n)," Rae laughed, "You know we're playing proximity chat, right."
You blushed as you realized and said "Ha, anyways..." and ran to start faking tasks.
You ended up in electrical with Karl. "(Y/n)! My good friend, my buddy, you would never kill me right? Haha..." He said.
"Of course not, Karl! My good friend, my buddy. Why, I'm not even imposter," I said as i quickly dipped into the vent and back out, making him laugh.
I decided to show him because I knew Karl wouldn't say anything, and it's funny.
"Oh that's good then. Are you sure you're not imposter?"
"Mhm, pretty sure," You said, going back in. As you came out, Sykkuno walked in and froze.
"Uh, (Y/n)?"
"Fuck... Karl run! Go!" You said, Karl starting to leave. You walked closer and quickly killed Sykkuno then vented to security.
"That was close..." You told your chat.
You saw Corpse as you made your way around the map and walked into navigation.
"Hey, Corpse, how ya doing?"
"Ah you know, good. Just being crewmate and all."
You stifled a laugh, "Oh yeah I feel that, buddy."
"Yeah because there's no way that i'm imposter. No way i could be faking tasks and there's no possible way you could be the other imposter" He said quickly.
"For sure. Hypothetically speaking, though, if you were imposter, how many people would you have killed by now?"
"I would say probably around two."
"Interesting," You said right before a body was reported. It was Sykkuno's. Felix and Rae were also dead.
"WHAT!" Corpse yelled.
"Where was the body at?" Sean laughed.
"Uh I found it in electrical," Bretman said.
"I'm pretty sure Karl was in there earlier."
You calmly said, "It's not Karl, I was with him for most of the round."
"How do we know the two of you aren't imposters?" Sean asked.
"I was alone with him, he would have taken the chance to kill me."
"No, he's your best friend."
"He's also ruthless,"
"TRUE! SO TRUE!" Karl yelled.
"So skip?" Corpse asked.
Everyone agreed and the voting was skipped.
The next round, I spent with Ethan. He was pretending to be mad at me because Sean said Karl was my best friend.
"What happened to Blue Boi Buddies, huh?!" He exclaimed.
"Neither of our hair is even blue anymore!" You argued back.
You were in reactor with him when Corpse and Poki walked in. He hit the lights and you took it as a sign to double kill. He killed Poki, you killed Ethan, and the two of you made your way to electrical to help fix lights.
You and Corpse went the opposite direction of reactor after the lights were fixed, Karl going with you.
Poki's body was reported. That double kill only left you, Corpse, Sean, Karl and Bretman. You only needed two more kills.
"I still think it's Karl and (Y/n)," Sean said quickly.
"I was with (Y/n) the whole time," Corpse said, "In fact, I think it's you."
"That does make sense. Why so quick to accuse others, Sean?" You ask.
"It's not me!" He yelled.
"I actually agree with Corpse and (Y/n)," Bretman said.
"I was with you!"
We all voted for Sean, him voting for Karl. Sean was ejected.
When you load into spawn, you wait for the kill cool down and kill Bretman, saving Karl.
"Victory" appeared on your screen.
"God damn it!" Sean yelled.
"Good job, (Y/n)," Corpse said lowly.
You smiled, a slight blush on your cheeks, "You too Corpse."
"Their voices go together and they're a fuckin dream team? What have i done...," Felix sighed.

A few more games went by. Most of them you and Corpse spent together, whether you were both crewmates or if one of you was imposter.
You really enjoyed his company and you actually got along with him pretty well.

"(Y/n), before we get serious, I have one question to ask you." Corpse said as both of your characters stopped.
"What's that?" You giggled.
"Do you know Bingus?"
"Bingus? As in, our lord and savior, Bingus?"
You could hear the smile in his voice, "It's settled, you're my wife now."
This made both of you laugh and your chat go crazy.

Eventually, people had to start leaving. You said your goodbyes to everyone and left the discord call and the game.
You set stream to where it was just your face cam.
"Guys, what should we do now?"
You saw some people asking what time it was for you.
"It's 3 AM right now... I’m not tired though.” You had been streaming for a few hours; You never even noticed how late it got.
People in chat were yelling at you to go to sleep, making you chuckle.
“How about we do a quick QnA, then at 3:30 I go to bed. Deal?”
You watched as the chat filled with questions. They obviously seemed to like the idea.
“‘Who is your best friend? Karl or Ethan?’ Neither, Alex Quackity. Next question.” You answered quickly.
You laughed, “I’d like to clarify that that’s a joke, i love all my friends equally.”
You answered more questions. Some were from new viewers asking basic questions, some were about future streams and videos.
“‘How do you feel about people shipping you and Corpse?’“ People are already shipping us?” You laughed, “I’ve said before that I’m okay with shipping, as long as the other person is too. I think it’s funny.”
You continued to read chat. “Wait, we’re trending?”
You checked Twitter and “#(your and corpse’s ship name)” was trending in the US.
You laughed as you scrolled through the tag, “Oh this is so funny.”
“Fanart already?! You guys are so talented!”
You read chat, looking for more questions. You saw people telling you that it’s 3:30.
“Okay fine, a deal’s a deal. I hope you all have, or had, a great day and I’ll see you guys later. Depending on what time it is for you, you should also get some sleep. Stay hydrated, love you!” You ended stream.

S5 Ep5: Female Friends
So I was up hella late because of Daylight Savings screwing my sleep schedule, and I was on Twitch and one of the people I follow was speedrunning a Yugioh game (I think it was called Forbidden Memories like it was some Romance YA novel) and I was like “that’s a thing?” And I watched about 15 minutes of just complete nonsense. Like this game makes no sense when your scrubbing through 30 minutes of gameplay, but when a whole game takes 45 seconds and they have mechanics using like planets and astrology symbols? What?
What?
Y’all, I’m a little concerned your card game ain’t real. Like this is some ploy by knowing adults and this is some sort of Santa Claus situation where everyone else knows that this game ain’t real, but I’m the last person alive who’s like... “it is real though, right?” Hoping that I haven’t been played all of these years, despite having literally no empirical evidence that it is.
Just saying, I’m on to you, Yugioh.

I am pretty convinced (could be wrong) but pretty convinced that Grandpa was probably just normal horny in this scene. Like it just kinda matches what I know about horny grandpa tropes (that and Vivian is really talked up to be this hot stuff although she’s just youknow...some girl who exists.)
He immediately falls over. Like immediately, and I don’t know what’s up with Grandpa’s weird slipped disc, but luckily this is the one thing that Mokuba is prepared to deal with as a park manager.
Or what was his job again, Master of Ceremonies? That was the name of Mokuba’s actual chosen job that a 12-13 yo would choose?
Only Mokuba would have the choice to choose “a literal astronaut” and not choose an astronaut. This kid probably hates space though, with his family’s countless war machines now currently flying through the void.
The amount of times that the Kaibas have had to call a doctor for these guys.

Bro was like “So Hawkins paid Grandpa to pretend to fall down so they could ditch Rebecca’s duel, right?” and youknow...probably. It was a pretty boring duel. They got off scott free.
Rex and Weevil do cartoon antics that actually feel like cartoon antics--which feels so weird for this show. Of course, it also has this Vivian plotline that is a little sus for a children’s show?
OK, show. You keep throwing women at Yugi Muto, and I get it’s a joke because he’s the world’s most undateable boy but there is a line of plausibility that even for a kid’s cartoon show it’s like “eh, probably not.”
Anyway, Vivian has Cho Chang energy of “I’m here for a problematic romantic conflict that never needed to happen and hamfisted diversity and uhhhhhh that’s it! I won’t exist after book 5!”
What a step down from dueling on top of the train, right? Like this whole time you could have just dueled next to it? What? In this show?
The rest of the party show up to the train station, where there’s really no other audience watching. Like where are Rebecca’s adoring fans who were asking for her autograph like 3 episodes back?
Card culture is brutal, y’all.
Vivian is not drawn like a 16 yo, being real. I was pretty surprised that she was under 25 according to a cursory Google search. Course, Joey Wheeler is drawn like a built adult, too, so I think the only convincing teenage child on this show is Pharaoh because at least he’s short. Just ignore how sometimes he’s got muscles on his arms that have no right to be there at the age of 16. (17?)
Then we had like a little Season Zero vibes where everyone just picks on Yugi for a hot minute.
And so Tea’s character development comes full circle as she realizes that this whole time, the Female Friend she needed was already here in the form of that small child who has a crush on her kinda boyfriend.
This was such an episode written by a bunch of dudes.
But at least Rebecca and Tea found something in common, although I really wish it wasn’t Yugi, considering how little on screen development he has with either of them. Where’s the reward for me as the viewer? If I cared about either of this love pentagon at all (well, hexagon...Bakura’s still in there.) there will never be a payout. You very well may be waiting forever for a relationship the writers clearly had never any intention to ever write except to act as a foil for our protagonists instead of like...a relationship.
And the show seems a little inconsistent with the relationship between Rebecca and Tea, too. They hang out a lot as the girls on the sideline, and appear to get along a lot of the time--but then they hate eachother a lot of the time as well because of jealousy? It’s just so weird.
I feel like TV shows in general have a really hard time approaching girl friendships, and speaking as a girl, I wish TV and books recognized more that our female friendships don’t have to be so freakin serious. We just act friendly and that’s freakin it.
That and these girls are going to go right back to hating eachother half the time after this is over because the main problem--Yugi not piping up and telling one of them to back the hell off--has never been addressed and never will be because Yugi is a broken, broken wet blanket.
Back at the base, Seto is also making up his own problems to be upset about in the absence of any apocalypses happening on screen.
Unless that hacker is Noah Kaiba, you’re probably fine. I really haven’t had too much of a reason to feel any fear over Zigfried von Schroeder. And maybe it’s because his character design was pretty complicated so no one wanted to draw it.
This was a ‘who’s on first’ joke but still.
...why do cards have to be like this?
Also, I didn’t see anything about this nonsense in the speedrun I watched the other night so, guys, this game ain’t real.
Anyway, Rebecca won.
We find out a little more of what happens to other duelists. Our Cowboy lost to a Sherlock Holmes boy, and I was very happy that I don’t have to come up with jokes about country music because I have none other than like...Taylor Swift jokes? Does she still count as country? I have no idea what’s going on in the country music scene.
On other side of the park, Yugioh decide to pay another tribute to the creative crotch shot with one of these:
Rex and Weevil are off to fight the big bad, and when you think “OK, we’re gonna get a wacky duel battle with these two balancing on top of eachother,” they kinda whiffed it before they made it to the stage.
And then I kind of whiffed it when I realized that Mokuba and Weevil have never spoken in the same place before and they have the same exact font color so fml.
The fact that Mokuba didn’t realize anything was wrong until they fell and revealed they were two small adults in a trench coat says a lot about most of the competitors in this duel.
It is incredible how both the Battle City Tournament and the Kaiba Corp Tourney (s that it’s name?) are both poorly managed, but in a different way. The Battle City Tourney unfortunately had a bunch of murderers in it. This tournament, no one is killing eachother, but they are still kind of sneaking in through the back door and being chronically late to everything.
(and I just want to point out that after the last match Mokuba oversaw that had Joey nearly miss the appointment, Mokuba decided to set this one in front of a Giant Clock just to get his point across)
So Zigfried has some sort of flying horse card that wiped them out right away, which makes you wonder........
.............why use any other cards?
Kaiba makes these cards, right????
Like he should be the last person who’s surprised????
Anyway, Zigfried top-decked a horse, and the guy who spends about 15 minutes getting ready his big ol blue eyes dragons every match he’s ever played was like “Yo I have GOT to get into speedrunning!”
And yes, the speedrun I was watching did not use Blue Eyes White Dragons. They were using a bunch of other stuff that I tried to look up just now and the art is completely different from what I recall so...unfortunately that means that your game is fake. Pretty sure it’s fake and you have no way to prove to me this is real.
Anyway, that’s it for now, not much to say since we’re still at the beginning of the arc. Next week I guess we’ll find out if Seto ever removes his ass from this chair.

This isn’t THE tommyinnit villain essay but it sure is one of them
Ok ok so 4 those of u who aren't on discord with me: i have two main essays that have been in the works for MONTHS, these being my Complete Dream character analysis essay going in-depth for nearly all of his canon interactions and finding his character traits and motivations through the story, and my Tommyinnit (and Wilbur Soot) were Always The Villains on the server essay talking about how the only reason so many people view them as the good guys or heroes is because we see the story from their perspective mainly. This essay? Is not either of those.
BUT, it does go through a lot of my thoughts on Tommy and Dream’s characters so I figured I’d post it. maybe itll help me organize my thoughts 4 my Mega Projects lol

Warning, it’s VERY Tommy Critical, what a suprise. I do not like Tommy as a character lol. idk what triggers yall might need me to tag but if u need one in particular pls lmn!
My biggest issue with tommy's character is that he SAYS hes learned but he never does he is exactly the same person he was at the start of the server just More Sad and with Trauma, when out of all the characters he's had the most push to change. c!Tommy is a very tell-don't-show character which can make it hard for some people to connect to him, especially those who don’t directly share his trauma or see themselves in his character. Of course, there is still a MASSIVE amount of people who relate to his struggles and thus love him regardless of his writing, but those who can't relate to him will always feel some kind of barrier until the things they've talked about are actually shown to the viewer instead of being spoon-fed to them.
It is a very beginner writing thing, and I'm hoping that Tommy is figuring out how to fix this, maybe with support from the many other writers on the server. There's the 3 you mentioned, plus fundy, niki, and maybe tubbo who also play dnd, plus Dream who said he would've been an English major and does a lot of personal writing for fun. I think the biggest issue in the writing lies in the individual ccs being inexperienced in the medium, particularly with planning out their own character growth.
Another glaring issue I have with c!Tommy is how he's framed to be sympathetic and he goes through all these horrible things without acknowledging his role in any of them. The things that have happened to him are a direct result of his actions, but the thing is HE won't acknowledge and so it falls flat. This isn’t to say that being abused is his fault, because it’s NEVER the vicitm’s fault, but being exiled? His multiple fights with c!Dream? His friendships falling apart? Losing the disks in the first place? They’re the direct consequences of HIS OWN actions, but he never acknowledges this and constantly just... brushes off any accountability by either saying that it’s Dream fault or simply SAYING he feels bad without properly showing it through redemption and GROWTH.
Denial is useful in storytelling sometimes, but Tommy's character has been in denial since the very beginning of the server and at this point it's just exhausting. He only ever switches between denial and depression, not really going through all 5 stages of grief properly. His violent/upset reactions would be more powerful if they were any different from how tommy usually acts, but this is always how he is. When he “lashes out” because he’s reached the end of his patience, it doesn’t SEEM like the snap it is because that’s just... it’s seriously just his standard reaction to everything. It hold no WEIGHT to see c!Tommy yell at someone violently or threaten to fight them because he does that anyways!
Static characters can be a good thing, and can be interesting if done correctly, but not every character SHOULD or CAN be static in a story.
Static characters need to have their position or behavior challenged and question, where they look into if the way they see and interact with the world is really the 'correct' one or just evaluated to see if they truly believe in them. This questioning period is CRUCIAL! and NEEDS to be well done in a way that ACTIVELY SHOWS the conflict between the two ideals. If they decide to hold onto their beliefs/continue their behavior then, it feels deserved, because rather than just being a flat "they do thing its who they are" they have defined WHY. WHY is a very important question to think of when telling the difference between dynamic and static characters. The why of a character is ESSENTIAL to developing them as a relatable, sympathetic person rather than a flat story telling device. It makes them a human rather than a puppet. When a character's motives aren't well defined or discussed, they're doomed to fall flat in everything else, because the WHY is the foundation of what makes them who they are.
c!Tommy has an underdeveloped "why", his motivations are weak, rarely properly discussed and when they are it doesn't particularly stick with him. His motivations change without showing us the internal struggle that should come from literally shifting your driving principles. There are some good MOMENTS of him reevaluating the importance of certain things, but they're so spread out and contradictory and immediately spat one that they're hard to piece together. He TELLS us what his motivations are as well, which is another big flaw when it comes to all that but we don't have time to unpack all THAT Anyways, the key to static story telling is reaffirmation. The character goes through a complete journey and ends with the same beliefs because they've looked into why they have them and determined that they still matter to them. A great example of static writing in my eyes is c!Techno, who since the beginning has believed that governments are bad. c!Techno enters the server to destroy a government, and still ends up doing that because he sees and we see him experience that the reasons he didn't like government before still hold true and he has no reason to support them any more than before, and so his anarchist beliefs are REAFFIRMED, proving to him that they way he handles things is the right one for him.
c!Tommy’s attachments are all just... they're all so weird. like he LITERALLY SACRIFICES HIS LIFE MULTIPLE TIMES for L'manburg. By action of sacrifice it seems like it should be the most important thing to him, but then he throws it away for some disks that mattered less to him just a minute ago. But then it's all about how c!Tubbo is worth more than Anything and maybe he's found something more important! but then he shoves THAT out the window for the discs again ig!!! but then it's about l’manburg again? Make it make sense.... pls....
Here's smth that really irks me about Tommy's character, and is kind of weird but give me a second to explain: Tommy has never actually permanently lost much of anything on the server. Every punishment he's ever received he's tried to find some way around. And like... I'm not expecting him to be HAPPY to face the consequences of his actions but seeing him constantly have his cake and eat it too is very irritating, especially when there are characters who DO have to deal with actual permanent sacrifices. The whole thing with the disks. where he WILLINGLY OFFERED THEM UP AND GAVE THEM AWAY THEN SPENT FOREVER TRYING TO STEAL THEM BACK WHILE CLAIMING DREAM STOLE THEM FROM HIM, is the biggest example of this, but it's generally his characters way of dealing with things. He's very backhanded and conniving, constantly calling himself "big man" except for when he wants things from people and he plays up the "iM a MiNoR" card to try and get them to give him things or feel bad. He's not just some sweet innocent kid like people paint him, he knows damn well he's messed up and while he SAYS he feels bad about it, he has never once really shown, with his ACTIONS, regret for what he's done except for the stuff with c!Sapnap, which could it could be argued he did because he thought it would help get c!Sapnap on his side to fight Dream and he knew c!Sapnap was a skilled warrior and could possibly be persuaded to fight with dream.
c!Tommy is in NO way some sweet innocent child, he knows what he's doing. He KNEW l'manburg was a drug empire, and wanted to turn his hotel into the same He was FULLY prepared to just murder c!Schlatt for legally winning an election that he KNEW was rigged AND INTENDED TO HELP RIG HE LITERALLY TEAMED UP WITH c!TECHNOBLADE KNOWING THAT HE INTENDED TO BLOW UP L'MANBURG AND ONLY LEFT WHEN HE REALIZED IT WASN'T GOING TO ACTUALLY HELP HIM--
The line of c!Wilbur saying "Tommy, are we the bad guys?" wasn't him mentally going batshit it was him realizing that the entire time they've been doing terrible things. c!Wilbur was literally ALWAYS Vilbur but the time people CALL Vilbur is when c!Will himself realized he was a villain.

9 first time watches in 2021
i don’t know if these are necessarily my ‘top’ 9 but these are like the only 9 i can remember watching because the entirety of 2021 has been like [tv static] so here we go???
the handmaiden (2016) - one of those things i’ve seen gifs of for god knows how long like “i need to watch this” and then i just didn’t? until early 2021? and then i did, and it was very good? i wouldn’t recommend it to just anyone it was also very dark and fucked up with some very triggering themes but the symbolism was great the execution of the plot/twists was great the last scene in the library was so cathartic
princess mononoke (1997) - i was raised very sheltered and very religious and we did not have anything but pbs on the tv so... i have not seen as many ghibli movies as i should have and i’ve been slowly catching up over the years? i put this one off for a while because i was told the tone was really different and dark and yeah it was but it’s my favorite now? “still we find reasons to keep living”
his house (2020) - ok this one i really really liked it’s like a distant relative of the babadook if you liked that one you might like this one it’s about sudanese refugees trying to make a life in london with a very similar key theme that boils down to “the demons are Yours and to survive you’re going to have to somehow make your peace with them” which i am very into whenever it pops up so this was probably in my top 3 horror movies of the year
candyman (2021) - loved this one? love jordan peele horrors and their themes, love that it was a remake that was really just a sequel, love it when the situation is one of those “you can’t talk about it you can’t think about it and if you have it’s already too late” things because that is so effectively scary to me and the candyman is the best supernatural slasher can’t change my mind where’s that post about the others being crusty and him rocking up in his fur coat b/c... yeah. yeah
the green knight (2021) - this was definitely my favorite movie of the year i am absolutely obsessed with visually-appealing high fantasy (even if it passionately makes me want to play dnd right now immediately on days when i cannot just play dnd) and the artsy a24 cinematic style and arthurian legend? dev patel as gawain? the themes? the tragedy? everything i could possibly have wanted 10/10 i’m still thinking about the imagery especially in the green chapel
moulin rouge (2001) - one of those things i watched because it’s so culturally-embedded (elephant love medeley? el tango de roxanne?) and when people found out i hadn’t they were like ????? as a first-time viewer who didn’t have nostalgia goggles on and isn’t usually into jukebox musicals it’s aged very well in some ways and uhhhh really has not in certain others but it’s a good musical it was converted to a movie well i enjoyed it
black swan (2010) - see above that is why i watched this one also? going in all i knew about swan lake was the barbie movie (i loved that odette doll so much) and mostly the cast was great... i got very into analyzing/talking about it... i learned some interesting stuff
encanto (2021) - this was so sweet honestly and i love the music a lot? like a lot... i’ve gone back to a couple of the songs more than once since i saw it and even more than the movie itself i’ve really loved seeing how pleased people have been to see a little of themselves in something like this???
single all the way (2021) - ok this one is just literally every single home for the holidays bad christmas romcom you’ve ever seen in your entire life? but it’s gay? so like... it wasn’t good, and i do not care even a little bit, the straight ones aren’t either!!

Why do I personally like or dislike Rio? (I added this one for fun)
A few different elements of Good Girls drew me in (humor, acting, UST, etc) and I have been hyperfixated hooked since! And not to get too real on the main--jk imma bare it all out here on the internet--I found Good Girls in a time when I didn’t really have much independence or agency in my life. So, obviously, beth being a boss bitch and rio being straight-up unhinged definitely satiated me.
Specifically, other than the fact that he is very very handsome and i would give him my life savings if he just said the word “muhney”, I love that he takes calculated risks (ie any risk he takes on beth), has fun being a prick (“what’s up, you miss me?”, “it’s too good, ma”, “need another bathroom break?”, “we’re consolidating”), has amazing outfits (no further comment), uses his charisma to cajole and charm people into compliance (rip Gil & Lucy), and yeah i just think he’s neat
What are your headcanons about Rio’s and Mick’s relationship? Did they meet through crime? Are they lifelong friends?
OH definitely best buds for LIFE who met during crime and then like just trusted each other’s judgement. I think Demon follows orders without a second thought (which Rio loves), Rio laughs manically whenever Demon says something sassy or rude (which Demon loves), and they neither one takes life too seriously, ya know? They’re both just having a good time and appreciate that the other is on the same wavelength.
Now that’s what is probable. What isn’t probable BUT I want dearly??
Mick barbeques every other month and Rio brings Marcus everytime
Rio and Mick have matching tattoos on their ankles from a very fun night in Canada
They play basketball together and the winner rubs the victory in the other’s face for the rest of the week. Rio always dunks on Mick, but Mick is surprisingly agile and good at stealing (bc he’s not wearing a tiny leather jacket duh)
Mick has tried to set Rio up with his many cousins by bringing them to the bar “coincidentally” at the same time Rio is there
They text each other pictures of their food and share restaurant/food truck suggestions

There’s NO way he’s good at singing, but i would bet everything i have that he is a good dancer. I mean,, I could stare at the way he walks allllll day.
Why do you think Rio is drawn to Beth? + Why do you think Rio didn’t kill Beth?
Before I joined the fandom, I really questioned why either one was attracted to the other, and oftentimes, I was convinced that they simply were using each other for selfish reasons and for the sake of manipulating the other. Now, I still believe that they use each for selfish business reasons, but that genuine feelings and interests have also developed since around 1.06 and it has been challenging for both ever since business and personal have mixed.
I think the fact that they are two sides of the same coin makes their attraction so delicious for a viewer, but I think that they are both distrustful individuals and thus are destined to always second guess the other’s motivation even if they are being genuine. It kinda reminds me of Epifanio and Camila’s marriage in Queen of the South: they love each other, but the clash of their individual ambitions make it difficult to trust each other.
But, back to the question lol. I think Rio is drawn to Beth and hasn’t killed her because he understands her, sees himself in her, and enjoys how she challenges him. Specifically, they are both motivated by the desire to provide for their kid(s) and their love for crime. Beth hustles hard, leverages her unfortunate situations into advantageous ones, and only trusts herself--I think the same can be said for Rio and that he admires these parts of Beth.
What are your headcanons about Rio’s family? Siblings? Parents? Lifestyle growing up?
This is a tough one bc I absolutely love the different OCs created for Rio’s family and I think it’s so fun to see his older sisters clown him on the daily. However, I’m inclined to think he has one older sister because he drinks his respect women juice and has STRONG younger sibling vibes (re: constantly causing trouble but always acquitted). In my limited experience, I think older siblings have to be more responsible, and Rio plays it a little more fast and loose.
I would also venture a guess that if he had a “stable”/”traditional” childhood, he likely wouldn’t have fallen into crime? I have a hard time placing what his parents and upbringing was like, because I only have my frame of reference and like who thinks that’s sound judgement lol. But I suppose that Manny’s own backstory would be a good starting point: he grew up in a rough area, has traditional grandparents (who likely supervised Rio when his parents were working/not home), and is hustling to move up in the world. I also think that he is someone who has come to discover and define his own style over time, but wasn’t able to when he was younger.
Do you think Rio’s been arrested before Beth got him arrested in 1.10? When, and what for?
MY bby? My “too smart for his own good”, “two-steps-ahead” bby??? ABSOLUTEL Y NOT i think the shutdown episode is such a good example of why not, and i think we know that beth is a BIG, glaring exception in his normal business dealings, so getting arrested doesn’t happen often, if ever
If Rio weren’t a crime boss, what jobs do you think he’d be good at? Why?
OK so I went back and forth on this one. Let me explain my thoughts
I think he is well-suited for being a PM in tech because it requires “disruption” and Rio definitely loves to disrupt things lol, and he is a natural leader who can motivate a team to follow his lead.
I DO not think that working at a consulting firm or law firm or something businessy like that would be up his alley bc its way too stuffy and too many rules (ethics & compliance training, what the fuck?) But Rio is also good at being a snake
Maybe a math teacher? Before you laugh, hear me out. He’s good with kids, he’s good at math, and we know he likes to give lessons!! (does he do it well? Idk but obviously beth was ready to shoot boomer in S2 and then taught Max in s3, so there’s that lol)
But yeah, I think an entrepreneur in tech is perf bc is requires a certain degree of rule-breaking, a certain degree of charisma, and strong math/science skills.

What made you ship it? ok so i went into this show w/o knowing really anything about where it was going or who the characters were and within 1 ep i was just into their dynamic/chemistry. then i found out he’s married lmao but by then it was too late. there’s some moments in the first few eps that stand out, like the moment i fell for liv when elliot bodily moves her out the way when she’s shouting at someone. also the moment when again, he moves munch out of the way with his whole chest to protect olivia. they’re just very protective of each other from the get go
What are your favorite things about the ship? the fact, and i acknowledge the problematic nature of this, they would go to bat for each other every time. like, they lie for each other constantly. there’s one bit where el’s doing something he shouldn’t and liv covers for him but she quite literally doesn’t know what she’s covering up. she isn’t involved at all but she still covers for him because they put each other first every time. i love that they’re so in sync with each other.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship um idk but frankly i think actually shipping it is considered an unpopular opinion by half the viewers lol. there’s this narrative within the show that elliot was holding olivia back and. i get that to an extent but also he always wanted her to be happy so i don’t think elliot is like, this selfish guy who’s keeping her from her dreams or whatever i just think they both had a co dependent relationship and it affected both of them, not just liv. OH ALSO you know whats maybe unpopular? i really liked his wife and totally understood why she was annoyed with him all the time. people had that thing where you had to dislike kathy because she was an ‘obstacle’ to eo but im not about that thank you. kathy was great.

So I was watching live videos of some kpop idols ;) because I wasn't sleepy at all. But one thing was irritating me and it was my class group chat! So I finally opened the chats and.... atleast 10 people tagged me ! Had to check it now!
I don't know why my recent days were full of surprises because what I found was just unbelievable ! So Kim taehyung aka V of BTS got stalked in his own house!
Reporter 1- So we're here in front of V's house and police has come to find the culprit . So Mr.Taehyung how all this happened? Is it the first time?
V *nervous and shivering a little*- Yes it is the first time and it's.... it's really shocking...umm...so nowadays we're shooting in Hanyang University for our next song. So I got many gifts which were kept in my vanity and I took all of them home with me....umm can I drink water? *Highly strung*
Reporter 1- Yes Yes of course! So everyone as you can see V is not in a good condition and this must've been traumatic for him. So basically the chances are that the sasaeng fan is from Hanyang University.
V- So where I was? Oh yes! There's a small room in my house in which I keep all my gifts and letters from fans. The thing is that I still don't know that which gift contained the camera or the microphone...

V- Well.... someone was sending me letters. I thought they're letters from my fans so I thought to read them. I was very shocked when I read those letters... A Presentation to the Matchmaker Pt. 2
Pt. 2 Paper Clip
“Uhm, Ivan?” Alya asked. She had made a special effort to come to the classroom early. “Would you uh, mind swapping seats with me today?”
She slouched casually and inspected her cuticles, hoping that her request wasn’t suspicious – after all, she and Marinette rarely, if ever, sat apart from each other. The last thing she wanted was for people to think that they had had a fight.
Ivan lifted his head and looked at Alya through sleepy eyes, “Sure. Yeah.” He waved one of his large hands slowly and yawned, “I wanted to talk to Marinette about Kitty Section today anyways. Thanks”
Alya flashed him a thumbs-up as he vacated his seat and lumbered off, “Hey, it’s no problem.”
Just as she settled, Felix’s bag thumped down next to her.
“Oh Alya,” Felix said mildly, conveying none of the nervous energy he had with her the other day, “Why aren’t you sitting with Marinette today?”
“Oh, I just thought we’d want to brain-storm or whatever,” Alya hummed as she watched Felix’s hands pause from shuffling his papers. Really, Alya thought with slight amusement, what’s with this guy and loose papers?
“I had thought,” Felix started loudly before dropping his voice and beginning again, “I had thought that when I didn’t get a text from you that…”
He trailed off and stared down at his palms. Alya’s brows furrowed in thought, but she had sent a text? Reaching into her pocket she brought out her phone and unlocked it to show Felix her send receipt. Her face reddened – there was a draft saved to her message board – she had forgotten to hit ‘send’.
“Ohmygosh, Felix, I’m so sorry. I totally thought that I had hit send before going to bed. My bad.” Alya apologized.
“I… It’s alright,” Felix accepted. He drew in a long breath through his nose, “Anyways, I have drawn up a couple of ideas that may work.”

“It won’t work.”
“Why?” Felix demanded quietly.
“Because Marinette came up with a near carbon copy of this plan for Adrien – no way she wouldn’t catch on if we tried that,” Alya groaned and rubbed her face. She spared a moment to hope that Nino was taking good notes; she loved Marinette, but she was just treading water with this subject and she was spending the whole period bickering with Felix.
Her throat burned. None of Felix’s plans would work – it was like he had found her and Marinette’s “confession planner” and had just copied everything wholesale. It was so frustrating. But at least, Alya thought, sliding her eyes over to look at an equally frazzled Felix, I’m not alone here.
“This is stupid,” Felix whispered heatedly, slapping a palm down on the desk, “Our first plan is the strongest – I suggest that we just go with that.”
“Felix. For the last time – no,” She tugged at a stray lock of her hair, “You can’t just walk up to her and present a Venn diagram!”
“But it worked for you!” Felix shot back.
Alya rolled her eyes, ready to retort that it was less the Venn diagrams and more the letter that she read that changed her mind but paused. Why would he think that his letter to Marinette meant less than the Venn Diagrams? Unless... Her eyes widened.
“What?”
“Did you mean for me to read that love letter you wrote for Marinette?”
It was like Alya had punched him right in the gut. His mouth flew open and his eyes bulged in surprise. In an uncharacteristic action, Felix upended his bad on the desk, scattering the pages he had inside. Most were normal class notes and reminders but as Alya scanned the papers others stuck out:
Marinette…
Dear, Marinette…
Marinette, I…
How many love letters has he written? Was all Alya had time to wonder before a hand slammed down to obscure her line of sight.
“Do you still have it?” Felix asked, trying to sound stern and harsh. His voice cracked with anxiety, “Did you show her?”
He glanced down to the front row and then back at Alya, fisting a hand in his hair, “Are you two pranking me?”
“Woah,” Alya slowly lifted her hands, palms up as a sign of peace.
“Hey, buddy – it’s ok. I haven’t told a soul,” she soothed as she pulled the original folder that Felix had given her yesterday afternoon, “I have it right here. Safe and sound.”
At her words, all the fight left him as he meekly took the proffered folder. He checked it over intensely as if by sight alone, he would be able to detect if anyone other than Alya had read through it.
“Sorry. You weren’t supposed to read that,” Felix admitted with an embarrassed blush over his reaction.
Alya smiled, unsure of what to say.
“My own fault really.” Felix began to gather his papers back together, “I should be more careful or at least throw them away if I want to be sure that nobody reads them.”
Alya stopped him before he could shove all his papers back in his knapsack. “Here.” She held out a paper clip, “Less chance of them scattering towards unintended viewers if they’re all together.”
“Thanks.”
