tomb raider legends replay after iiii think more than a decade? anyway review:
its a game that exist
okay no that’s mean afdnsmg
i always regarded it as a guilty pleasure and. yea it is
it’s legit SUCH a fun game and i really enjoyed myself honestly :°) the fact that it has so many things that remind me of the original series really made me smile too, like the fact that i’m absolutely sure that the bullet noises are the same from the ps1 era
the dialogue is pretty fun too. like the banther between lara and zip is fun, rutland is a fun character, amanda is a fun villain, fun fun fun and it surprises me that it took them that much to bring in arthur and excalibur
...this said the story fucking sucks. the fact that this is the beginning of lara’s personality becoming nothing but “I miss my mommy and daddy weeeh” is grating, especially since here she IS the spoiled rich lady everyone stereotypes her as while in the original series she was disinherited for not following society and gender norms to follow her dream and regained all those riches by herself
the final two levels are such a bore too. nepal had good ideas but was, like. 10 minutes long? and the final level is a joke, and not a funny one at that
plus i. miss being Alone(tm). zip is funny, alister can die in a fire, but having them constantly chatting really broke the immersion of the game
also 7 hours love? 7 hours for a triple A game? 7 hours that i got because i went back and replayed a few levels to get some relics and do the time trials and got kind of stuck at a single puzzle? bestie no amount of outfits can make it worth it especially because it’s just as easy as i remembered
also besties if i see lara’s titties bounce all over the place one more time i will fucking lose my mind!!!!!shut the fuck up about the bouncy bouncy you’re fighting for your life queen buy a better bra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...anyway i really liked it 7/10 i just skip all the cutscenes and suddenly the game gets much better

Astarion doesn't bother to remember many things before his ascension; never bothered to keep in touch with anyone from before then either. He walks the long halls of his home and sits atop a throne, revered and worshipped akin to a god, with the memories of the tiefling who stole his undead heart so long ago. The same tiefling he'd driven away when the ascension had begun to twist his mind.
"Not that I don't love you, darling, but why do you insist on giving me flowers?" Astarion remembers asking, face flustered as you tilted your head at his question.
"Just because," you'd shrugged, taking another flower and placing it in Astarion's hair. The journey to Baldur's Gate was long, and the whole group had decided to take the roundabout path for some extra time to relax, well as much time you could all set aside to relax.
The last handful of flowers you'd given Astarion were still displayed on his bedside dresser, as fresh and vibrant as the day you'd picked them for him all those decades ago. "They won't wither as long as I live, a symbol of my love for you." Astarion had scoffed at your words and called you cheesy, all the while hiding his blushing face behind his hands. He hasn't seen your smile in decades? He can't remember, he doesn't know if he wants to.
