To put simply, their yanderes', all of them get jealous, the better question is, how do they deal with it?

Yandere Zombie! is by far the easiest to get jealous, you could look at someone else for a second and they'd be in tears. They cling to you even more, hoping to scare of anyone who comes closer to you and if they still don't stay awake then, yandere zombie will be having a yummy dinner. If a person going missing doesn't tell you to stop talking to others, they'll ramp up their emotions, shedding tears, having a fit because they can't express themself before huddling up by your side, waiting for you to comfort them.

Yandere Jock is a bit less jealous, he's well aware there's little to no competition simply because he's the best of the best. Adding to it, he always makes sure that you walk around with his jacket or something he own to keep people away but oh does he hate when you talk to anyone else or when someone comes to you to ask for something, he wastes no time in throwing his hand over your shoulder, or leaning his head on top of yours/ wrapping his arms around your waist if you're too tall, glaring at them from behind, even giving them a little 'talk' if they don't back off.

Yandere monster is least jealous, sure he's given you restrictions on where to go and always having him accompany you but he does not give a shit about anyone who tries to approach you. He trusts that you won't go against his boundaries and he's aware that his citizens are well informed on what'll happen to them if they try to get too close to you. Overall, the most chill yandere.

Yandere Doctor, ohh boy, he won't show it outside and in his defense, he doesn't get jealous easily but the moment people start flirting with you, his jealousy flares up. If he's with you then he glares at the person, giving them sharp response before taking you away. If he's not there to witness it but hears it from you or if you work at the same hospital as him and because he can't say anything to the patient, he'll give you a strained smile before dealing with it after work :)

Yandere Househusband, i'd say lies in the middle, he knows no one can take you away from him because both of you are quite legally bounded and so he doesn't mind if anyone tries to do something but, when people have the audacity to twirl their hair or try to get a drink with you, he quickly comes over, linking your arms together, leaning on your shoulder, subtly (not really) showing off his ring. He makes it a point to dress to the heavens when the two of you go out somewhere just so he can show off how well you take care of him and well, if they get too annoying, he can always be a kind neighbour and give them some delicious cookies :)

SPLATOON 3 SIDE ORDER PRERELEASE THEORY

heavy spoilers for octo expansion under the cut also a bit for the splatoon 3 story mode ending stuff

im not entirely sure if this theory will happen i wouldnt be surprised if actually was agent 8 or some other octoling but im going to say it anyway i think dedf1sh is going to be playable and is the octoling shown in the trailer like yeah the tentacle style isnt the exact same but its not out of the question for her to just wind up with a different one at some point plus she is kinda of a paleish green (though slightly darker than generic sanitized octarians) and seems to be taller than a lot of other octolings too

[dedf1sh with the noticeably paler ingame models of generic sanitized octolings for comparision, the elite octoling has a very slightly darker skin color but is still paler than dedf1sh] im bringing up the exact shades of all the sanitized octolings despite them being very green because i think they are at least somewhat proportional to how their skin color was before they were brainwashed with corpse slurry

because i do think it is somehow possible to reverse sanitization i dont know how it would be possible but if it is then they would probably explain it in some way even as a hand wave (like how calamari inkantation turned smallfry (who can breathe fine in space) into bigfry)

i dont remember hearing a single thing about what happened to the sanitized octarians after commander tartar was defeated and i cant find anything about it anywhere so ye

now about the ingame models for the playable octolings heres the one in splatoon 3 currently and viewed from the back at a comparable angle and most similar hairstyle for easier reference

and heres the side order octoling

its pretty easy to see that the latter is noticeably taller (although admittedly i have no way of telling if dedf1sh is a similar height considering we never see her lower half, i do think the torso size is at least similar enough) i also think the specific shade of green in her official art matches the specific shade of tan in this model relatively well (also admittedly skin color in official splatoon art can be extremely inconsistent even for established uncustomizable characters like marina (even some of the pictures in the freeze frames in the trailer are very different in this regard))

in this art shes seen looking at her reflection in a vaguely confused kind of way i do think that regardless of how accurate this specific theory is that she has some kind of memory loss but what if the confusion was partly about her physical appearance keep in mind sanitized octarians canonically get memory loss in the process of sanitization

i know it could very likely be just the way the ink is rendered but it looks vaguely greenish and unnatural here (maybe as a side effect of recovering???????) wishful theory brain thinking honestly

one of the shots is literally just a dead fish so i do think that shes at least somewhat involved

also the whole inkopolis square area (or maybe a replica of it) is blank white and theres very noticeable bleached coral added to it (some shots even show types other than branched coral like brain coral) bleaching is a way to sanitize somethings

so ye thats really all i have so far and i dont really care if this is a super good theory or not i just wanted to put it out there before someone else came up with it and posted it part of me really wants this to be true i love dedf1sh so much

POOR YANDERE ZOMBIE PLS😭 In canon as of yet, not really anything BUT i can give you small scenario as compensation.

For as long as Yandere Zombie had been turned, you had always accepted how clingy they were towards you, perhaps it was the sudden change of losing their bodily autonomy that made them cling to something or anything that was familiar. That something was of course, you.

But as of lately, their clinginess was getting to you, you tried, as much as you could to try and just deal with it, not wanting to hurt your partner. You were never a calm and collected person, the both of you knew that, but you promised them at the very start of the relationship, never once would you ever raise your voice at them, you knew first hand the kind of damage it brought, growing up seeing your parents hurl profanities at each other and taking the rest of their anger out on you. You would never want to inflict that pain upon them, you are better than your parents.

or at least you thought you were.

You watched Yandere Zombie as they stumbled back, eyes widening as they processed what just happened, for the you pushed them away, you..you hurt them, you of all people, you who swore to never hurt them was glaring at them.

"For once I want to be left alone! Ever since you turned, you've been so incredible clingy. I'm tired of it, I have other things I need to do, I can't have you chasing me like a lost puppy. If it weren't for the fact that you had some semblance of your humanity, I would have let you to rot ages ago." You seethed, slamming the door as you left.

Tears streamed down Yandere zombies eyes. They clutched their chest, trying to keep their sobs quiet, what if you thought of them as incapable, even more than you already thought them to be.

The room seemed to close in on them. They crumpled to the floor, knees giving way beneath the overwhelming tide of emotions. A guttural wail escaped their lips, a raw expression of the pain etched into their soul.

with side order coming up i decided to make a recap(???) of my side order au. apologies if some of it isn't clear / doesn't make sense

it starts with the retirement of off the hook after octo expansion, roughly 2 years after splat2. (note that the chaos vs. order splatfest likely didn't happen, splat3 happens in some other way idk.) this part is a little janky but there's this "commander" (not related to tartar in any way) that decides to take over inkopolis via power and mind control. out of spite and as a first step they decided to go ahead and literally Kill pearl, who later died in marina's arms. after that marina wasn't able to do anything for the remainder of the day but hold pearl's body, and as the sun came up the next day only then did she decide to bury pearl just outside the pygmy mansion

her grief still persists, marina tried her best to keep the death of pearl a secret, during interviews she just says "oh she's been off the grid lately" or "visiting family", and when going out she'd try to make it quick to avoid being spotted by fans and it would only be for running errands. marina's grief (unfortunately) keeps her alive, she takes care of herself since its what pearl would've wanted. frequently she hallucinates pearl being there, and she's developed a fear for being around others, as well as gaslighting herself into thinking pearl is still alive, just away. she spends all of her time staying in the pygmy mansion. she waits and lingers, doing this routine over and over again for ~100 years, and eventually inkopolis itself crumbles to dust and is left barren

those 100 years pass and it's marina's time to shine!..kind of...the only feasible option for her was to brainwash everybody into a state of being "calm", making them into mindless walking zombies. despite everything she still felt guilt for what happened to pearl. inkopolis turns into a bleached dystopia, corals grow due to the neglect of it being cleaned, it becomes completely quiet and only marina is left with her thoughts

by the time the side order DLC takes place, she ""accidentally"" frees agent 8 from their "hypnosis". agent 8 suffers a splitting headache as soon as they're released and completely loses the ability to speak, their memory getting worse by each passing second. often times they get a sort of "déjà vu" or "flashbacks" of when pearl and marina were happier. marina still loves them dearly but she's afraid of hurting them, so she distances herself away from them, but 8 keeps on trying to reach her. in the DLC, marina acts like a final boss to the story, and when going against her she doesn't try to stop 8 from defeating her or attack back but instead she accepts it

extra stuff; the brain coral is used to control the minds of the inkfish, the other bleached corals represent neglect. the whole theme of side order is focusing on one's mental state and watching it deteriorate(?), memory loss (and similarly to octo expansion, 8 trying to get their memories back). marina sometimes wakes up with scratches or bruises (to which she denies), and she becomes somewhat dependent on agent 8

And this is what it came up with...I know lorewise some of it's wrong(lol) But it sounds freaking horrifying but so cool...
