All life is inherently accidental

And that's inherently wonderful.
There is inherently no meaning to life, it wasn't created with any meaning in mind, just an unintended consequence of many particles being hit the right ways at the right times.
This, though, means that all life is inherently meaningful and important, just by it existing. All life should be cherished, for all life is of wonder. Including yours.
If no-one is going to cherish your life (though this is impossible, many people care about you and think of you still, even when you do not realise this. You would have to be a total hermit never coming to contact with people, living in the mountains, and even then someone will notice your trails and steps, and the plants and creatures around will be aware of you and fear you and appreciate you),
there is still one person that can care for you, the incredible being you are.
And that person is yourself.

looking @ old fic i started when i was 14/15 is so funny bc im realizing once again why i never mark fics as abandoned even if its been literal years since i've touched them. specifically i was checking docs for stuff i started and either did or didn't post to ffn.
and its like. nothing is bad??? like i can see where my outside-the-box ideal of fic writing comes from. not just fics but writing in general, i'm p sure. even if it's a total cliche plot setup, there are details on each that rly make it stand out like oh yeahhhhhh i did have this great idea once upon a time.
funny too bc was it executed well in prose??? no absolutely not i wrote like shit when i was 15. would i revive an idea one day and revise it to be less cliche or cringy while still keeping the stand-out elements??? yea maybe. i might. everything i'm currently working on that i started from 2021 up to now still holds my supreme interest, but like i'm not gonna say never.
esp since i write fic first and foremost for my own need and specifically what i like to read, it makes it impossible to consider an idea i've thought extensively about "not worth writing anymore". anyway not making this too long i jus found everything interesting to consider

I think it's the 'alberta' tag that really makes it for me here. The 'nebraska' as well. Is it actually from Alberta? (It could be; I've seen similar looking things) If it's from Alberta, why is it also tagged 'saskatchewan'? 'kansas'? 'appalachia'? 'southern gothic'? patch 4 is going to take 5ever to download but i'm soooo excited for it
#hablaty#bee gee three posting#listeeeeen that bit of news about the l'z romance being altered has me *very* intrigued#like okay I was going to revisit the game and berci soon-ish bc i wanted to give him a pt where i knew what i was doing#like this first pt was the definition of a blind pt i had the tag blacklisted since the early days of early access#i did not play early access i did not play the first 2 games i did not play dí en dí so yeah i was winging pretty much everything#and while the game is an excercise in frustration for me#(okay it's not a bad game i'd say it's a solid 7.5/10 but it's strengths are lost on me so my experience with it is fairly mid)#I do adore my boy he's very precious to me#so I definitely wanted to give him another go with a more experienced player bc that's what he deserves#and bc I wanted to see how he'd play out#and then the new patch dropped and just aaaa#bc the romances were a big catalyst in his development#(tho for the record i wasn't *trying* to appease either l'z or gale it just happened)#so if l'z is harder to romance then I'm really interested how Berci would change as a result#maybe they won't have anything between them maybe he won't become a squid#(tho that was a very emotionally resonant moment for me so I'd be a bit bummed if that were the case)#maybe things will work out better with gale maybe he won't go to hell with his besties#who knows I sure don't but I'm very curious to see it

The soul had left undertale after freeing the monsters and giving frisk their happy ending, having realized by that point that it would be fucked up to continue on after that [after all, that was the ending of their part of the story, they weren't frisk, they're just a lost soul trying to become real]
Gaster reaches out to them, promising them a body for doing so much hard work and helping his sons reach their happy beginning.
But, after they make their body, they're told that it's discarded, and they wake up in the body of someone else again: A human named kris.
Something had happened to them before, there were a group of monsters surrounding them asking for someone named Dess.
Something different with this situation, however, is that before Frisk still had their soul, it was just kept away from all the danger.
This time? Kris's soul was missing.
Because of the ritual that Kris had tried, their soul had been vulnerable.
And, due to the bunker being the closest thing to the void someone can be in without being in the void, gaster had taken the opportunity to swap kris's soul with the soul he created, putting theirs in the vessel and the soul in kris to continue to try and find a way to free him.
So! Now, the soul is in charge of making sure kris's life isn't ruined by the doings of gaster, and kris is left confused and watching as they're being controlled by something else.

Dess is missing, and no one can find her. not even a trace of her, its as if she had vanished into thin air
Asgore, being head of police, is assigned to try and find her. But, as time goes on, no leads appear. It's as if she had been straight up erased from existence!
Eventually everything comes to a head. All of the stress from the case gets to the adults. Toriel and Asgore's [albeit already somewhat rocky at that point] relationship falls apart, and that leads to them being divorced
Asgore gets fired by Dess's mom for, in her eyes, being so incompetent that he couldn't find anything
Due to all the stress and discomfort, Asriel leaves for college early, leaving Kris all alone to deal with everything by themself.
once the dust finally settles, nothing is the same again
Noelle is upset due to her sister being missing and her dad being sick, Asriel is gone off to college, Toriel and kris's relationship begins to get a bit rocky due to all the changes, and to top it all off the whole situation with the soul just rubs salt and lemon into the wound.
Not long after, a new girl moves into town
Susie, a monster from unknown origins who immediately becomes a problem for the school.
She's mean, unruly, no respect to authority, and she's also quite the bully.
She targets kris specifically, and no one seems to know exactly why.
Eventually, the whole things with chapter 1 and 2 happen

After his experiment with Jevil failed, Gaster moved on to the next darkner he could: A short Addison down on his luck.
Spam, the adopted sibling of Click, Survey, Video, and Popup, a rare white addison who had been abandoned by his birth family due to it.
You see, White Addisons are rare both because it's a rare genetic mutation, and because white ads don't tend to sell as well, and as such don't tend to survive.
He felt as if he owed it to his family to become big, to make them proud of him. If he didn't, then to him that made him seem like a waste of an Addison, and a burden on the family that was so generous to open their hearts for an abandoned ad in need of assistance.
Gaster sees this and decides that he'd be the perfect candidate for his next experiment, but he didn't want to risk things again by making them insane. So, he decides the best way to go about things is through a translator, another darkner who could explain things and do his job for him
So, he finds such a darkner, a pair of them in fact: Mike and Tenna
Problem was, they were in entirely different dark worlds, and we've seen what happens when darkners from other worlds try to go to others.
So, he plants a phone in Spam's world for them to communicate through

Shaking your head and laughing in amusement, you went back to Tinder, checking on ‘Johnny’. The mandatory gym pic was there… a couple of them in fact! And then the mandatory shirtless selfie. Or rather… The mandatory shirtless SELFIES. Plural.
Three of them… The first one was him just straight up wearing just a towel… And the next was him in a kilt… And the next was him with a button-up very much so unbuttoned.
“Oh, my, Johnny-John-John… You sure know how to woo a bird…” You joked to yourself.
You dragged your finger down to check his bio and immediately frowned. “Of course…” You trailed off with a disappointed frown as you snuck another spring roll into your mouth.
He might be stupidly attractive, but his personality… Gosh, he doesn’t know how to sell himself. Boring, boring, boring. “I work out and like video games!” You quipped mockingly and scoffed a bit.
“Artist.” You remarked when you reached the last of his profile’s tags, spotting that word in the hobby section. “An artist? You?” You asked your phone screen as if Johnny would come alive in it and answer you.
You’d admit, him calling himself an artist was intriguing enough, but normally that wouldn’t be enough to make you Swipe Right on him… But you’re not under normal circumstances. You promised your friends you’d Swipe Right on everyone so…
Your phone almost dropped out of your hand as soon as the ‘It’s a Match’ screen showed. “Of course… He’s probably swiping right on everyone as well…” Rolling your eyes, you go to click off the screen but accidentally enter DMs.
Johnny: ye have any scottish in you?
you: not that i know of.
Johnny: would ye like to? 🫦
Johnny: wait. wdym not that ye know of???
Johnny: i was trying to be filthy and now got me curious bonnie
“Fuckin’ hell…” You said as you set down your phone and covered your face before breaking into a fit of giggles.
The fact you had accidentally ruined his pick-up line and succeeded in stumping him got you very, very amused. Okay, maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t as boring as you thought.

Concealing a chuckle, you clicked off the DMs page for the second time tonight… but, this time, you closed the app and focused on eating dinner.
Sure, this whole dating app thing was stupid, but at least you were enjoying yourself.
